Another 'warmup' that spiraled. The setting I write about is a spirit world for domestic cats that living beings can visit. The cats are dead, but they're fleshy spirits that eat, sleep, etc. They're born under a crop that they identify with for the rest of their (second) life.

There's not a Dog's Way within the same story as the Cat's Way, but someday I'll peck at lore for one. Probably as a standalone non-narrative thing. I have lots of friends who love dogs.

He makes a good point. Trying to judge the minds of complete strangers was difficult work. Some fled to hide, others froze in fear and didn't move from their obvious place of comfort- their home, or their hometown…The trial-and-error of finding witches was always a puzzle, but they kept my aging brain sharp, at least.

Finding women was always harder than finding men. The men always assumed they could stand, fight and win. The women knew where to hide, and when to strike.

"What else should I be looking for, then? The handbook says something about moles, but it's hard to tell what's bullshit and what isn't sometimes."

This would be a much easier job if he'd accompanied me before taking the Rite of Dissolution. It was a risky procedure, one with a fairly-high fatality rate, and yet many still took the risk. He was one of the lucky ones.

"They can be. Warts as well. Experienced witches are generally very pale. Magic is an incredible stressor on the body, so any signs of potential unwellness could point us to our witch."

So I was looking for a pale woman, dark hair, updo, potential warts or similar impurities, possibly sickly-looking. That at least narrowed it down, I suppose.

"We'll go to the Gnome's Arms and ask around. And for goodness's sake, keep your lips sealed. Let me do the talking this time, Brádach. You have the charisma of a tree stump."

I left Brádach to socialising with other guests for now.

"Afternoon, Miss. I'm Gideon, a local witch-finder. I wanted to inquire about a suspected witch in the vicinity? Pale, dark hair in some kind of updo, a fanciful white dress of sorts. May possibly have some kind of wart on her face?"

"I haven't seen anyone like that around here, I'm afraid. Might be worth having a look along the roads, or towards Withernham. I think some the butchers had a marketstall there this morning. Rich ladies love their expensive meats. There's also a cunningwoman somewhere near Withernham, I believe, on the outskirts in the countryside."

A cunningwoman? I suppose there's an idea- I'd have to pay her some of my earnings, but for a witch that may not be easy to find, I may have to rely on a few outside sources now and again. I thank the lady at the bar for her time, slipping a few Simoleons into her tip jar.

The Millers didn't get to profit from money-dispensing phonecalls, but even so they soon had something resembling a house built up. Held together by branches and clay, it offered shelter from the weather, and they had a full summer ahead of them to make their new home fit for winter.

Susan found a colony of wild bees, that the couple built a home for. Now honeycake was only one trip to Windenburg to buy a stove away!

Chris: "Our bees seem to be happy."

Susan: "Even the insects like village life better than the wilderness!"

Chris: "On second thought, let's not tell Hux. His "triumph of civilisation" speeches are as bad as Gavin's insistence on playing rustic hermit next door."

Susan had always enjoyed gardening, now she felt inspired to extend that love to creating flower arrangements to sell in town. Technically this was busking, but the gardener found a workaround in first buying cheap vases from a marketstall. Now the flowers were no longer freshly picked and counted as "craftables" (that also fetched a better price).

So this morning, cs my brain is fried in many ways,

As a companion to the Draculas of New Jersey, have all the Frankensteins of England -

First, on the very first census, of 1841, we have Jacob Frankenstein and his family, living in Liverpool -

There really wasn't much detail on early census records, and whoever's filled this in has done it a slightly odd order (dad, youngest son, mum, oldest daughter, middle son), but we see we have Jacob Frankenstein, who is a merchant, his wife Sarah, and their children Henrietty (age 5), Samuel (age 3) and Nathan (age 1 or possibly 7), and that F in the last column marks them as "born in Foreign Parts".

The house they live in, they seem to share with two other families - an English roper, his wife and four children, and an Irish tailor his wife and their servant. I imagine, if I might, that it may have been one of those tall buildings you get in the town centre occasionally, with a shop below and two or three storeys above - the tailor would have the shop and the floor above, and the one/s above that would be split between Frankenstein and Choppers (the roper)

I'm not certain, cs nothing much is certain on the 1841 census, but I think that must be the case, because there's a 1 for 1 dwelling/building, and then the families have little notch marks separating them (you can just see one above the J in Jacob there).

If we skip forward 20 years, we find them not in Liverpool, but having moved to Islington, London

A little more detail on this record - we find out that Jacob and Sarah are from Hanover, which I gather is now a part of Germany. Henrietty has anglicised her name to Harriet, and that N must be Nathan, which means he was 1 on the 1841 record. We also see Harriet was born in Yorkshire, and Nathan in Liverpool, tho I can find neither record. And that Jacob's merchant-ing is going well enough that they needn't share housing and they actually have a live-in maid!

And, there's another record to show he joined the Freemasons in about 1850, so I imagine he was doing fairly well for himself.

There is, at the same time as our Jacob in 1841, another J Frankenstein, but this one is an "agent" - whatever that means 180 years ago - and he lives in Stepney!

He is also "of Foreign Parts" and also in his 30s, but he is instead a lodger, with several other single German-sounding men (you can see Doctor Gotentag above him there), in the house of some laundresses (Sarah Kelly, Elizabeth Pryor, and her daughter Sarah)

I jumped forward 10 years to 1851, and couldn't confirm finding this same Frankenstein, but there are a couple of new ones -

We have Adolphus, a tailor from Breslau who is lodging in Manchester with a Polish hawker and his family

And we have Isaac, a licensed hawker - a seller of things, the type that shout you over, like a marketstall man, tho maybe without a stall - in this case, jewellery - and he lodges in Portsea/Portsmouth, with Kitty Barnard and her daughters.

Then, if we jump again to the 1870s, there are a great many more Frankensteins -

We have Jacob, Israel, Simon and Harris Frankenstein, who are all Polish tailors (tho sometimes the record says "Russia Poland"). Israel and Simon live in London, Whitechapel and Spitalfields respectively. Jacob is in Cheetham and Harris is in Manchester. And all their families, too.

Also in Cheetham, we find Reub and his family - I imagine he is Jacob's brother or cousin (he is also listed "Russia Poland") - he is a glazier, and his teenage sons are tailors.

Philip Frankenstein, also in Cheetham and from Poland and so likely another brother or cousin, is a waterproof manufacturer (did macks exist then?).

And Leon, who lives in Rochester, married a Kentish woman called Lydia Jolley (nee Gladdish), and he is a picture frame maker, also Polish - tho he, unlike the rest, is listed under "Poland, British Subject" - either, he lived in England most of his life and was just born in Poland (see, my John Scarth, who always listed himself as "Portugal, British Subject", and was from Orkney), or because he married an Englishwoman, I'm not sure, and he, nor the census man, are not here to quiz.

If I go any later, I imagine there'll be a great deal many more records to trawl through and I don't really want to, so I shan't.

I am mildly disappointed there are no Adam Frankensteins, tho, I did check

Auto Employees | Custom Lot Trait Certain Marketstalls needed special Vendors like two of the Uni Marketstalls need a "Coffee cart" Vendor. I added those now. Those have a different Spawn Point though so it might take a bit longer for them to arrive on the Lot to open the Stall.

Autonomous Gardening Looks like EA removed the Interactions "Gardening Fertilize" & "Gardening Fertilize VerticalGarden" from all Plants (even though the Tunings are still in the Game Files), and my Fertilize Addon continues to those Interactions. Since the Game did not find the Gardening_Fertilize on the Plant it force used the last Interaction in the OR List, which was the Gardening_Fertilize_VerticalGarden and that would cause Posture Errors. I readded the two Interactions via XML Injector to Plants so my Fertilize Addon should work correctly again.

Automatic Stereo System Mod Interaction should not show up on Batuu Droids anymore.

More Visitors | Custom Lot Trait Spawning of more Visitors should work again on Resiential Lots, but I don't really recommend using it there.

Mod Manifests & PlumbBuddy Info

The Mods above got manifested for the new PlumbBuddy App.

What is PlumbBuddy and what does Manifest mean? PlumbBuddy is a new App for Sims 4 Players created by Sims 4 Players, which helps with Mod Installation Issues & Game Configuration Issues. When Modders add Manifests to their Mods, PlumbBuddy knows what Files are required for the Mod to work correctly, and will tell you if those are missing, or when you installed all Versions of a Mod, where you should have chosen one, and more. Since a lot of my Mods do actually require Files (e.g. XML Injector) I will add step by step Manifests to them either when I update them for other Updates or in an extra "Manifest" Update.

Do I need PlumbBuddy for your Mods to work? No. PlumbBuddy is an external App and is not required, but when you do use it, my Mods with Manifests will be shown in it's Catalog, and PlumbBuddy can help you with Installation Issues.
