02x06 - This Little Pig
TW: Racism based on the time of writing/filming (mid 80's)
Taffy is out on patrol with everything seeming normal and boring... until he hears some oinking coming from an alleyway...
"Going out in pairs are we today, mate?" 😂
Reg is complaining about back pain after hurting himself on a training course. "He who dares ricks his back!" Viv mocks.
The manager of the City Farm phones to report 2 pigs missing. Viv has to ask him to hold on while she stifles a laugh and then passes the message to Bob. "Two of our pigs are missing... It's the City Farm. They've had a breakout!"
Pete is unimpressed to be asked to pick up the pig in the police van but Bob explains the man from the farm can't pick it up as he only has a Mini! He sends Jim to help him because "He's good with kids... he's probably good with animals." Great logic! In the meantime Roger Phillpot from the farm arrives to help Taffy keep the pig calm, explaining someone let them out deliberately by wirecutters making a huge hole. He admits they've had a few animal rights people send letters recently. Plonk is returned to the farm and now they must track down Pickle! "You're not a vegetarian are you?" he asks Taffy. "Oh no, I'm Welsh. I eat anything" Without any evidence (they've binned the letters) there's little else the police can do than keep an eye out for Pickle. Phillpot goes cold on Taffy, apologising for 'bothering him' sarcastically. Pete then purposely brushes pig poo out of the van and onto Taffy's uniform. It's not his day! Pete drops Taffy at a local cafe where he goes for a cup of tea.
Pete moans he's had no overtime for 2 months and that it's resulted in a big cut of his normal wage. "Money isn't everything." "True, there's always sex." he purrs, eyeing a secretary who ignores him. Pete moans that he has commitments to pay for and he wants a big murder to happen for the overtime. Yorkie points out that it's not exactly something to announce and Pete claims the others would be straight in there claiming for extra hours too.
Yorkie says Pete must have been paid a bomb for the recent (March 84-March 85. This aired 23 Dec 85) miners strikes and he spent more time in Yorkshire than Yorkshire-born Yorkie did! Pete claims Scargil caved in too soon because only half of his holiday had been paid off. June points out he shouldn't have spent most of it on a new motorbike and Abe asks if he put any away for the tax man. Pete claims the tax man already had it because they're PAYE. Abe points out that's only at the basic rate. If he's earnt over that, they'll come for him. Pete claims he's winding him up and Yorkie shakes his head. Pete asks Bob if it's true and Bob explains that yes, the tax man has already had his share of the miner's strike overtime money for most of them... "But not for super grabbers like you."
Ted reads a bulletin that claims the ban on overtime won't affect the amount of work the police get done. "Pedantic little twat." Ted growls about the author (Brownlow's soon-to-retire Clerk who has just asked him to get Roy to redo an expenses claim and moaned about Dashers not being clocked in despite being out on a job). Immigration call Roy about a job and Ted asks what's happening. "Deporting all the Irish and you're first." Roy complains about the CID boys not being further along on jobs and Ted points out that's because of the cancellation of overtime. Roy heads out for the first of two meetings, amused that his expenses claim didn't make the grade. "What's the matter, didn't I claim enough?"
Reg fancies becoming the Superintendent's next clerk and asks what Bob thinks about him applying. "I honestly can't think of anyone more suitable at Sun Hill. The only problem is, it's not a job for an able-bodied copper." Reg wonders if his back has been permanently damaged. "It'd match your brain then, wouldn't it..." Viv snarks. Reg tries to speak to Brownlow about applying for the job but before he can get the request out properly, the Superintendent literally runs up the stairs to avoid talking to him.
Roy tells Bob that Immigration want to borrow 3 officers and will arrive at 11.30 to raid a sweatshop. Bob isn't happy about it, not wanting to do their dirty work for them and tells Roy they're there "to catch villains, not go after some poor sod born in the wrong country."
A shop selling furs reports animal life protesters preventing people entering. Three officers are sent with Bob warning Jim to be careful how he handles it. Taffy answers and is sent over too. Jim enters the shop first and asks the manager if he wants the people removed. One of the protesters tells Jim they're only putting forward a different point of view and, actually, they do mind being asked to leave the shop and so sit down. Pete says they have 1 chance to leave under their own steam or they'll be dragged out. When they don't move, Pete and Jim drag out each protester. They then get arrested for charging at Jim and knocking him over, threatening to do it again even if they do keep getting arrested.
Taffy is mocked by Pete for arriving once the protesters are in the van and claims that there was no point calling him while he was in the cafe. Taffy says he wasn't, he was pounding the beat "covered in pig shit thanks to you," and shouts at Pete for dropping him in it with Bob. Pete says he hadn't, "Cryer already knows you're a lazy git!" At the station, Taffy tells Bob that he was in the cafe for 2 minutes and that he has witnesses. Bob tells him he's not blind and knows that Taffy 'disappears' sometimes, forcing him to admit it before letting him go to change his trousers.
Bob processes the campaigners with them starting to sing a monotonous round of 'on, and on, and on and on again' until Bob shouts at them to "SHUT UP!" Jim claims they were arrested for threatening behaviour and breach of the peace. They add "You're all a load of bastards." and "We'll do it again and again until the murder stops." They refuse to comply with willingly handing their property over so June and Pete take them for a strip search.
Reg delivers one of the most Reg-esque clips in this episode too!
Nick offers just after to go do the body search for her if she wants and Reg cuts in. "I wouldn't if I were you mate. You can catch all sorts of things these days!"
The female prisoner being searched by June is obstructive, insisting that June undress her. "Do you enjoy degrading your fellow women?" she asks with June ignoring her attempts to start an argument.
Nick calls CID about a burglary and can't get hold of Dashers or Ted so contacts Roy. Roy asks if there's been any mention of a wardrobe and, confused, Nick tells him there hasn't been.
In the cells the protesters are still changing 'Fur Traders Out', and 'Here We Go' driving the officers mad with Bob calling them more trouble than bank robbers. He can't risk bailing them so has to keep them overnight for court.
The immigration officer arrives, requesting 3 officers. Bob says he hopes they're not too lucky as they're already almost full in the cells. Abe is also sent over to help. Jim is not impressed about having to help Immigration but Pete is happy to. The man reminds the officers they're only there in case of breach of the peace, they don't need to do anything otherwise. Immigration go upstairs, speaking to the owner of the sweatshop and then to the staff and take one gentleman back with them. "Another blow against the black economy!" Pete beams, before making further racist remarks to Abe.
Roy speaks to the woman who reported the robbery. Despite the confusion, a wardrobe was wrongly delivered to the address prior to the burglary. A neighbour let them in and then, 3/4 of an hour later, let them in again to collect it after they 'realised it was the wrong address'. Roy explains to the women there was likely a man inside the wardrobe and that he and what they took were taken out by the delivery men who are also in on it.
The man removed from the sweatshop is interviewed and admits being in the country illegally. Reluctantly Bob has to agree to hold him until immigration can arrange his deportation.
Pete has arranged a position moonlighting to fill a gap until overtime is allowed again. He's going to be a minder for rich men, £50 a night cash in hand. He claims that in 2 weeks the tax problem will be sorted and another couple of weeks after will pay his holiday off. Jim points out that it'll conflict with his job but Pete insists it'll be fine.
Mike couldn't speak to the shop that the delivery people pretended to be from to see if there was anyone in the dispatch who could be leaking details because of the ban on overtime. Roy is fuming and tries to speak to Brownlow about it but his clerk is obstructive but allows him to make an appointment to speak to Brownlow at 2pm.
June watches as a bride and groom leave the church. She recognises the groom and radios to Taffy to ask about him. Taffy should have been in court the week before for a firearms charge with the groom but he didn't show... She's definitely found him now! The couple and their guests come together for photographs as Taffy and Pete turn up in the van. "Everybody say 'Suspended Sentence!" a man croons with a grin before the groom's face falls, having spotted the officers. They return to the station with the wedding cars following close behind.
(sideview of the station down Artichoke Hill. The 'station' might now be flats but the building behind it still stands with the bottom now a Dominos Pizza shop. The blocks of flats are also still standing though a large group of trees now obscures them from view somewhat.)
The bride's father claims it'll just be 5 minutes for the groom to be charged before they can go on to the reception. The entire wedding party appears to have joined them(!) "Gawd, you think they'd paint it a nicer colour!" June joins them for a bit of wedding cake in the waiting room!
Bob asks them all to clear off because the groom is being held overnight because he skipped off last time. His bride brings him a bit of cake as she comes to say goodnight to him and kiss him goodbye until the next day. She's very forgiving considering!
The gentleman from the sweatshop is very nervous and frightened, refusing food when Taffy does his rounds. He takes the protester's beans on toast but the first refuses it because she's vegan and there's butter on the toast. She then pushes the tray so it covers Taffy in beans. Taffy is furious, booking off for the evening.
Brownlow refuses overtime for the wardrobe burglars who have been doing jobs all over Sun Hill. He calls Bob upstairs for the meeting too and tells them the overtime ban is going to be around for quite some time and that unless it's a major robbery, GBH, murder or rape there will not be any overtime allowed. Having said all that, this must not be allowed to affect their output(!) Bob points out that this meeting has been called after his shift so, technically he should be on overtime. Brownlow tells him that it's coming from on high so has to be passed down and Bob snaps back to ask if anything is being fed back to them about how their money-saving schemes just do not work in practice.
Bob is struggling to put even one officer out daily on foot patrol. Roy adds that they're asked to do the job with both hands tied behind their backs and that the overtime ban does not extend to the villains and as a result he's lost 2 major results that he and CID had already spent many working hours on, only to not get a result from them because they couldn't do extra - much needed - work. How is that cost-effective? "Are we policeman or accountants?" Brownlow repeatedly tells them that they have to find a cheaper and more efficient way of doing their jobs and that it'll benefit them in the future and give them more money to use where it's truly needed. (Newsflash from 2024: No it doesn't! All they do is continue to cut much-needed services to the bone and expect savings to be made where there isn't enough money to fund the basics in the first place.) "What you're saying is that we're deliberately not solving crime now so we can solve it in the year 2000?." "Certain inquiries are more cost-effective than others." "Someone ought to tell the poor sods who think the police are here to help them!"
Pete is placed onto nights the following month because of annual leave... he's not going to be able to do the minder job after all!
The reception is held in the station local as Bob and Roy continue complaining about the politics involved. Abe reveals to Sadie and Jim that he has three daughters, aged 7, 5, and 2. Jim follows him out to go play cricket with him and the kids at the park. Nick drops in for a pint before he goes to Brownlow's house to decorate his bathroom(!) Bob tells Roy that Pete, who is sulking at the bar, received £5K (just shy of 15K in today's money) for policing the miner's strikes whereas he struggled to staff even basic limits at the same time. Roy sighs and tells him it's the same as teachers, meals on wheels and social services so to drink up and shut up.
Incase you're wondering, after Pete and Taffy leave the farm - Pickle isn't mentioned again!

introduction
♛ → DORNE present NYSSARIA ANTARYON, the CONSORT of DORNE. when the dragons danced in the sky they thought NONE would still fly, but in the blink of an eye, they would all die. The THIRTY-FOUR year old WOMAN who was ELOQUENT & VIVACIOUS before they saw the first of the flames, is now DECADENT & SUPERCILIOUS after seeing the last. through the ash, now they struggle to find the sparkle of sunlight on water, dazzling the eye; bells and brocade rustling at her feet & the weight of adornment around neck and wrists instead of the remnants of the war of succession.
Name: Nyssaria Antaryon
Age: 34
Date of Birth: 106 AC
Place of Birth: Braavos
Parents: Sealord of Braavos and Alia of Braavos
Family:
Older Brother - Heir to the Bank of Braavos
Partner - Riyansh Martell
Partner - Princess of Dorne, Riyansh’s wife
Children - Ahan Martell, Oriana Martell, Nesara Martell, Elio Martell
Good Siblings - Eleyana Martell, Loreza Martell, Nymeria Martell, Dastan Allyrion, Other Allyrions, Ryon Blackmont
Face Claim: Jennifer Winget
Height: 171cm (5’6’’)
Hair: Black, worn long and loose down her back
Eyes: Brown
Notable Scars: None, but the marks that birth left on her
Blurb:
Born to the occupying Sealord of Braavos, of the clan Antaryon, Nyssaria’s life has always been one of pleasures: wines from all around the world, delicacies to tempt even the most fastidious of ascetics, silks from Qarth, Myrish lace, the best of Braavosi courtesans to watch—
But the jewel of Braavos had her own flaws; it was not thought that defined her, nor logic nor reason, but the whims of a moment, made stronger by her temperament. Comfort did not make her mild: always one for extremes, to have Nyssaria’s love is to have loyalty beyond measure, to be held in high esteem forever, to be seen and felt and surrounded by her affection—and this was what the Martells earned, on arriving in Braavos. What was once intended to be a short affair, nothing strange to Nyssaria herself, nor perhaps to the newly wed Martells, soon became a matter of the heart.
Even then, it was considered strange when Nyssaria, all on a whim, disappeared after the Martell prince... and soon after, followed him to Dorne, with his babe in her belly. Since, she has remained in Dorne, warming once again the cooled relation between herself and his wife, until between the three of them there is as powerful and passionate a relation as never seen in Westeros.
Traits:
vivacious — she has always been full of life, and ready to live it for any moment. when she is enthusiastic for something, few can compete with her vivacity
whimsical — once she has a thought, it is very difficult to let go of. her wishes must be completed! as such, she tends to do things that are perhaps not responsible or advisable on a moment’s notice
affectionate — she will shower you with love the minute you earn a position in her heart, which too doesn’t require much. she has enough love for much of the world... just don’t hurt her family
hedonistic — what is life for but its pleasures?
eloquent — she could never be a poetess, for she has not the patience for verse, but that does not make her tongue any less sweet. words come easily to her, charming and convincing even when you disagree
domineering — things must happen her way, always. if you have something against that... change your mind, for she will not change hers
Wanted Connections:
Old Friends From Home — though she has spent the last ten years in Dorne, slowly growing more Dornish, there is nothing quite like the familiarity of home, is there? these are acquaintances or friends Nyssaria made in Braavos... though, really, they could be enemies as well
Antagonists — though she has nothing but love for Dorne, it is entirely possible that some in Dorne bear no love for her. after all, she bore the prince’s first child, and not Myriam Allyrion, the Princess of Dorne. this is someone who may find that strange, or have never liked her presence
Past Lovers (0/1) — the Martells were not Nyssaria’s first lovers, though they have been the most enduring. this would have been a brief relationship, when both parties were in their late teens in Braavos. they could have parted on good terms or bad

01x05 - It's Not Such A Bad Job After All
TW: Suicide
A body has been found in the woods after an apparent suicide.
June follows an irritated and silent Roy back to his car after she mistakenly called him in on his day off when it was first believed to be a murder. There had been a strong wind the night before and it had covered the victim's body in leaves which in turn made her believe that there'd been an attempt to hide the body. Night turn CID were nowhere to be found so Roy had had to be called in. After she'd called, June found the bottle of tablets concealed under more leaves and by then Roy was already on his way. June is unnerved by the complete silence of Roy and can't stop herself from talking. Eventually, Roy speaks. "Where is it, Ackland?" "Sir?" "The note. Where is it?" "The note, sir?" "Yes. They always leave one. Where is it?" June tells him she hasn't searched the body and left everything other than the tablets untouched due to regulations so they could gather potential forensics. She hasn't seen a note.
Roy makes his way to the body and lifts the blanket that is covering her face seeing that it's a young teenage girl. Roy lifts the blanket more and finds a note clasped in the girl's other hand that he gently draws out to read. "I suppose it's over a man. It usually is, isn't it..." June sighs. Roy passes her the note to read and tells her to stop waffling.
It's a very sad note, a young girl leaving her worldly goods - her George Michael LP's and collection - to her brother. June continues to read where the young girl asks her parents to please forgive her for the shame she-... and June gets no further as Roy can't bear to hear anymore as a father of a young girl not much younger himself "There's parents out there who still think they've got a daughter..." he says sadly and has a moment before he starts to leave in a hurry, telling her that she knows the procedure for suicides and to get on with it - though asks her to keep him informed.
"That man's a pig!"June spits but Jim is amused, thinking June got off lightly because Galloway would have had his guts for garters if it'd been him who'd got him out of bed early on his day off for a mistake. "Must be because you're a woman!" He ponders before June has a go at him for his sexism and admits she's seriously thinking about jacking it all in. "I don't want to turn into one of those hardened cows." Jim urges her not to do anything too rash and to speak to Sgt Cryer.
June calls to see where Inspector Deeping is to deal with the case only to be told that Deeping has called in sick and that Sgt Cryer is on his way in to deal with it. Jim tells June that the address on the letter is a squat. Jim was called to a damage-only RTA a few months ago and the people who had been driven into thought they'd seen the driver of the car - a flash red sports car - come out of the squat. She decides to go straight to the squat to see if anyone there knows where the girl's parents live.
Instead of returning home after being called in, Roy stays in the station, moaning that it should be his first day off in a long time. Bob tells him to go home because he looks awful and has clearly been working too many extra hours. Roy tells him he sounds like his wife, and that his late turn CID officer told him he'd been upstairs in the station the entire time so he could have dealt but the front desk did not call upstairs for him. Bob tells Roy it was an honest mistake, caused by a lack of communication and that June is a good capable officer who has her annual appraisal in a few weeks and he doesn't want her confidence knocked - because of that morning - before she even starts it. "Say a few kind words now and again, no matter how much it hurts." Roy sighs and says he could do with a few kind words himself. Bob manages to get out of him that he's having a bit of aggro at home with his daughter before June interrupts. His wife calls and promises that he'll be back in about an hour "Look, I can't talk to her anymore." he snaps at her before repeating that he'll be home in an hour and that he's very busy, hanging up.
June apologises again for what happened that morning and reminds him that he asked to be kept informed. The girl was called Amanda Jenkins. She was 18 and lived in a squat near the docks. She'd moved to London 6 months ago from Norfolk against her parent's wishes to become a fashion model. June asked the local police to attend the parent's house to break the news to them. Amanda's best friend, Rachel, told June that Amanda was involved in some form of show business'. She didn't go into any more details, other than Amanda would return home each night in tears. Alongside Amanda and Rachel there are approximately 9 or 10 young men who live at the squat and they're hard workers who keep the place nice and clean. Roy suggests June be removed from normal duties to follow the case through to the end. He advises her to get cleaned up and changed and then eat because it'll be the last she'll eat for a while given it means attending her first post-mortem...!
Roy tries to leave an hour later, telling Taffy not to contact him unless it's absolutely urgent no matter what. Before he can leave the front office, Tom tells him Rachel has arrived, asking to speak to someone in charge. Rachel tells Roy that Amanda was on heroin. Upstairs Mike shows Amanda's parents into Roy's office.
June is looking peaky even before the pathologist arrives for Amanda's post-mortem. She has to run to the toilets to vomit as soon as the first cut is made. Afterwards, the pathologist tells them that Amanda had venereal disease, was 3 months pregnant, had been using drugs - most likely heroin - and had an ingrowing toenail!
Rachel continues to explain to Roy that a couple in a red car used to pick Amanda up on occasion, having told her that they knew 'influential people'. They arranged a fashion photography shoot for Amanda and she left feeling excited and like she'd made it. She returned to the squat crying her eyes out and wouldn't tell Rachel what had happened. It was the couple who also got her hooked on drugs. She took the only way out that she knew.
June is still feeling very rough by the time she meets Bob outside. She tells him that Roy sent her to the post-mortem on purpose to get back at her. Bob reminds he she wanted to see it through and that it's all part of the job. He chuckles and calls her a milk monitor. In the car June insists she's handing her notice in and in a disbelieving tone- Bob replies. "Oh yeah?" as he drives them back to the station. June tells Bob that she's fed up with getting all the disgusting jobs, snotty kids, and drunks no one else would touch, and that she's seen as a soft touch. She's adamant she's always left on the communication desk when something juicy happens and never allowed to get stuck in. Bob tells her he doesn't want to hear any more of her talk of resigning. He orders her to take a few days off and return after sorting herself out. June tries to answer back before sighing and agreeing but refuses leave as she 'doesn't want to prove Galloway right'. "That's my girl." Bob smiles. When they return, Bob accompanies June upstairs and tells her not to snap at Roy or to say anything she'll regret later. "Is it alright if I have some evil thoughts about him? Really wicked? Thoughts not becoming at all to a female police constable?"
Rachel tells Roy she managed to - eventually - get Amanda to admit she was making hardcore porn films. Unfortunately, all they have is a brief description of a couple who drive a red sports car and have a large dog that rides in the back. He takes a photograph of Amanda from Rachel and shows her out. He then returns to his office to speak to Amanda's mother and stepfather - being told that his wife has also rung and is not. happy. He arranges to have the parents taken to the hospital to formally identify Amanda. He then advises them to take the extra train home but they'd like to go and see where she lived and speak to her friends. Roy nods and says he'll sort accommodation for them but hopes they'll change their minds.
Bob, June and Roy update each other on everything they've found out about Amanda since they saw each other. Roy tells them the parents don't know the sordid details and if he gets his way they never will. June remembers Jim dealing with the RTA involving a red car and calls him. Roy wants to find the couple before they have to drag the girls name through any more mud and tell the parents more distressing news. They know of a devious video shop owner (John Savident) who is likely to deal under the table as it were and that he'd likely know who was involved but Bob fears he'd never speak to them.
Roy directs Jim and June to a roadside greasy spoon where he suspects that young girls are being picked up nearby with their heads filled of stories of London being paved with gold and modeling contracts. The owner recognises the description of the couple but he hasn't seen them, their Irish Wolfhound or their car in a while.
Roy attends the video store in person and sends the assistant (played by Rebecca Lacey), on a second lunch. He silently makes his way into the back of the shop after locking up, finding boxes of illegal adult videos. He then speaks to 'Fat Nicky', (John Savident with a bad Italian accident) and threatens him with deportation if he doesn't help him. Nicky returns with a video that Amanda is the star of, made by O'Malley Video Productions. Roy settles in with a glass of scotch and Nicky to watch to make sure it is Amanda (!) When she removes the mask she's wearing - it's definitely Amanda.
He returns to the station - to be told his wife has rung again - and steals a cigarette from Ted, sending Mike down to get Bob, June and Jim to his office. Ted is told to check with Vice to see if they've had any dealings with O'Malley Video Productions. Mike is charged with contacting social security etc to see they're listed officially as a business or who in Sun Hill and the surrounding areas has that name and could be claiming for anything benefit-wise. He then tasks Bob with checking with the drug squad and customs to see if there's anything with that name involved in the import/export of adult material or drugs. Jim and June are placed to do a general search of police records to see what they can find. Roy is 'going missing for an hour' and wants to meet back in CID at 4.30 for everyone to update on what they've found. Unfortunately, nothing is found by anyone!
June suggests that if the dog had ever gone missing they might have presented to a police station to try and find it so would have given their correct details. Roy orders an all-stations message to see if - in the last 2 years - any Irish Wolfhounds have been reported missing or found. Roy - trying out Bob's 'nice kind words' strategy calls June back and tells her that, if she's right, he'll take back what he "said about W Plonks!"
June's hit the jackpot! The dog is called O'Malley, not the people! They have the real name and address and attend a posh block of flats where Ted and Mike attempt to find a way in. In doing so, Mike finds the Porshe. Unable to find another way in, Roy sends June to the door with a story that she's a model who has an interview tomorrow and needs a set of urgent portfolio. He tells her to be persistent and not take no for an answer.
Inside an adult movie is being made though for the sake of The Bill it's two topless girls and a bath. June is outside speaking to a woman through the intercom, telling her that her photos were deemed not revealing enough. She claims a girl she met on the glamour scene recommended them to her and eventually she's invited in with the front door unlocking. Because of the invitation inside they've slightly bent the rules so they don't need a warrant. The boys race inside and run up the stairs before forcing their way inside with Roy ordering the girls to be taken out - and covered up. Ted immediately leaps on the camera (😂) "We wouldn't want to miss out on anything!"
Roy glares angrily at the man arranging the shoot, slowly facing off to him. The man tries to bribe him and Roy grabs him by the scruff of his jacket. The man tries to goad him to hit him and warns him he has connections. "I've met some dirty no good ponces in my time but you and that blonde-headed scumbag are the best. I'm going to make sure you're put away long enough to enjoy it." He snarls, having him dragged out by Bob.
At the station they sink a toast to Amanda and having cracked the job with Ted and Mike hoping that her parents don't know the truth. Roy promises they won't as he has enough to keep Amanda out of the headlines and charges so her parents will be protected. Hearing this, June softens slightly. "It's not such a bad job after all...." she agrees, making the CID boys laugh.

Cyberpunk 2077: List of All Unique Submachine Guns
The highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 is packed with a variety of powerful weapons. The Night City is the major location of Cyberpunk 2077, where players explore everything. To start the missions, players have to visit their appropriate location, while to obtain weapons, players have to visit shops or agents. While exploring the Night City, players will find several uncommon things like bounties, side jobs, and street battles. All these features in Cyberpunk 2077 are essential because they offer a decent amount of level-up rewards and sometimes weapons.
Some of the enemies carry weapons, and players also have to use weapons to deal with them. Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 are categories in several categories like Submachine gun, Assault Rifle, Sniper, and Melee weapons. Submachine guns are suitable for every condition and can be obtained pretty easily. So if anyone is interested in obtaining a powerful Submachine, here is the guide for them.
Powerful and Unique Submachine Guns
Problem Solver
Power Weapon.
Change to apply bleed effects.
Problem solver is considered an iconic weapon, but unfortunately, this doesn’t have any iconic features. It deals great damage in mid-range and also applies the bleed effect on enemies.
Yinglong
Smart Weapon.
Put electrical damage and shock its enemies.
Iconic: Get bonus electrical damage.
Yinglong is a powerful smart weapon that everyone should carry. It fires plenty of bullets, but some of them miss the spot too. Its electrical damage deals incredible damage, and lower the enemy’s attack and stun them for a few seconds.
Prototype Shingen: Mark V
Smart Weapon
Fire explosives rounds.
Iconic: Can aim on three enemies at once.
Prototype Shingen: Mark V is also a smart weapon with an iconic ability. This weapon has its own identity in the game because its explosive bullets blow the enemies instantly. It also shoots three enemies at once, which is a good thing.
Buzzsaw
Power Weapon.
Iconic: It can even destroy the light covers.
Buzzsaw isn’t among the smartest choices, but players love it because of its iconic ability. Its iconic ability is that its bullets can easily penetrate the light covers. So if a wielder knows the enemy’s location, they can use the iconic ability to shoot the enemy through the covers.
Fenrir
Power Weapon.
Deals thermal damage and chance to apply burn effects.
High recoil.
Iconic: Improves bullet impact and lowers the bullet spread.
Fenrir has a serious recoil problem, but its bullet power allows the players to strike back. Because of its serious bullet damage and thermal damage, it offers the chance of firing frequently and dealing heavy damage.
Conclusion
These all are among the most preferred submachine guns of the game. Indeed, some of the listed weapons are not entirely safe during the battle, but things are different with Buzzsaw and Yinglong. Both of these weapons are highly admirable by fans and always their primary and secondary option in battle. To acquire these weapons, players must play mainline missions and side jobs.

“Annotated Bibliography”
Zhaoyu Tan
Research and Enquiry Module: 7CTA1079
MA Digital Media Arts
Assignment 1: Annotated Bibliography
1. Daniels, D. & Kwastek, K. (2013) Aesthetics of Interaction in Digital Art. Massachusetts Institute of Technology product. P89 - 94
This article analyses the forms of expression of interactive art. Works of interactive art are usually not expressed in an independent, material form, but in a structural or systematic form. They may be made in different versions or they may run in different media. Most importantly, however, they are consciously conceived in order to allow the recipient to achieve these objectives in a number of ways.
This article is closely related to my major, detailed explanation of the meaning of interactive media, so that I have a better understanding of the form of expression of digital media, interactive art is also a kind of media, understanding interactive art is very important in the future learning.
2. Taylor, A. (2011) Design essentials for the Motion Media Artist. Published by Elsevier Inc. P143 - 148
This article explores several disciplines covered by the term sports media. Animation is a kind of motion media, animation is divided into traditional and computer animation, including STRAIGHT-AHEAD ANIMATION, POSE-TO-POSE ANIMATION and COMPUTER-GENERATED ANIMATION. Most people think visual effects create amazing three-dimensional organisms, environments. But time and movement are two things. Secondly, computer animation is a younger art form, and has not yet developed to the traditional animation.
The significance of this article is a detailed introduction to the form of animation, for today's computer age, computer animation is the best. Especially for college students like me, a comprehensive understanding of computer animation can be more efficient in making computer animation skills in the future.
3. Dewdney, A. & Ride, P. (2014) The Digital Media Handbook. Taylor & Francis product. P201 - 205
This paper emphasizes the difference between software and hardware, which are very important to digital media. The term software distinguishes a group of computer operations from hardware, which refers to physical devices. Software and hardware include dimensions related to computer processes. Second, software is a generic term that refers to both the binary numeric code (machine layer) of a machine instruction and the source code. To be precise, the production of any machine or technology needs to be understood as the computer layer, which is an integral part of digital media.
This article is very helpful to students of digital media today. We know that digital media can not be separated from hardware and software. However, how to correctly distinguish the two is an important knowledge that we must master.
4. Hansen, Mark B.N. (2004) New Philosophy for New Media. Massachusetts Institute of Technology product. P20 - 27
The purpose of this article is to describe the author's views on new media art, which requires the body to transmit the concept of "media" and to provide the potential for action in the "time and space" of information. The purpose is to prove that the new self-embodying aesthetics in digital images is correct, and such an aesthetics must be combined with some construction axioms of art history and media research in art research. In terms of vision, this priority comes not only from the specific nature of vision, but also from the cross-mapping of different sensory information.
This article is particularly relevant to my practice in media and vision. I am very interested in the media in new media art, and it is interesting to mention that the source of vision and sensory reactions can be better applied to the work.
5. Megan A. Winget. & Aspray, W. (2011) Digital Media: Technological and Social Challenges of the Interactive World. Published by Scarecrow press, Inc. P115 – 118
This article discusses ability to categorize digital media. Classification and permutation is a creative expression form which is especially suitable for digital environment. Classification can collect scattered information and realize the management of network data by classification. There are many names for the classification structure, and these names are also an important part of the classification. If libraries can be classified as digital media-libraries are built through their classified resources, a form of reading and interpretation, of course, for digital libraries or any type of resource database.
I am interested in the ability to categorize digital media, which will be of great help to me in the study and collection of information. Can more effectively understand how to establish a reasonable classification of resources, not messy. In addition, the collection of information can be accompanied by a clearer understanding of how resources are classified. I'm interested in this interaction.
6. Simanowski, R. (2011) Digital Art and Meaning. University of Minnesota press. P120 - 128
This chapter focuses on interactive performance art in digital media. Take the performance art as the theme, elaborates some interactive concepts, these concepts are full of simplification, long before the interactive art appears, the significance of a work of art is also produced as the dialogue between the works. Interactive art is also a concept of visual center, interactive after years of indoctrination and development, interactive installation art represents the further development of the visual development of the body.
Considering the importance of my major in interaction, performance art is also a special form of expression of art, can understand the interaction of performance art, in the future when learning interactive art will have a lot of inspiration.
7. Munster, A. (2006) Materializing New Media: Embodiment in information aesthetics. Published by Dartmouth College. P151 – 159
According to this article, it is obvious to the reader about the digitalization of digital media, as a result of the lag and catch-up of culture and cultural practice, as well as the theoretical interaction of practice, the digitalization of digital media has become ubiquitous, and the digitalization of digital media is obvious to all. So far, when we have been seeking to express a specific aesthetic figure, we have also been forced to think everywhere, near or far. Contact is a form of social interaction, in which the speed of information transmission has been improved.
This article discusses the trend of media digitization, and given what I've learned, it's nice to know that digitization is already everywhere, because I'm going to be doing something about it, hoping that it will be everywhere.
8. Wands, B. (2002) Digital Creativity: Techniques for Digital Media and the Internet. Published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. P273 - 276
This paper introduces the use and development of 3D animation are introduced in detail. Firstly, it is mentioned that the use of 3D images, graphics and animation has penetrated into most digital media. The most well-known uses of 3D animation are for feature animation, video games, and commercials. Second, there are several different steps for the development process, starting with creating models or actors and objects in a 3D scene, then adding lights to the scene and rendering them as still images or animation sequences. One of the easiest ways to consider three-dimensional animation is to combine it with a television studio environment.
My passion for animation is often not enough to watch it, I prefer to make it. As a student who works with 3D technology every day, whether it's animation or games, 3D technology will become more and more powerful in the future. It is important to learn and use them flexibly.
9. Paul, C. (2016) A Companion to Digital Art. Published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. P353 - 360
This chapter combs the characteristics of the practice of political digital art from several aspects, such as the characteristics and characteristics of the practice of political digital art. In essence, that is, "the medium is the information", it is also a kind of productive force. No particular behavior can touch upon the basic form of structure.
The significance of this article is that the artistic features discussed are closely related to the digital media, and it is powerful to learn that most of the technologies at our disposal are fully embodied on the Internet.

Viruses and bacteria fall back to Earth via dust storms and precipitation. Saharan dust intrusions from North Africa and rains from the Atlantic.Credit: NASA Visible Earth
An astonishing number of viruses are circulating around the Earth's atmosphere -- and falling from it -- according to new research from scientists in Canada, Spain and the U.S.
The study marks the first time scientists have quantified the viruses being swept up from the Earth's surface into the free troposphere, that layer of atmosphere beyond Earth's weather systems but below the stratosphere where jet airplanes fly. The viruses can be carried thousands of kilometres there before being deposited back onto the Earth's surface.
"Every day, more than 800 million viruses are deposited per square metre above the planetary boundary layer -- that's 25 viruses for each person in Canada," said University of British Columbia virologist Curtis Suttle, one of the senior authors of a paper in the International Society for Microbial Ecology Journal that outlines the findings.
