»THE WORD IS ART« by michael petry
if you are interested in text-based art, i would totally recommend you to get this beautiful and informative book which came out recently from thames and hudson.
a global overview of how contemporary artists incorporate text and the written word into work that speaks to someof the most pressing issues of the 21st century.
Petry's book paints a redeeming picture of language, underlining how artists continue to inspire us with their radical and creative use of words. -- Dazed
i’m very glad that my own work is featured in this amazing book as well!

THE MANNS COMPETE FOR BRAGGING RIGHTS ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF TV ONE'S THE MANNS

Meanwhile, David Jr. struggles to find a tour bus that everyone can agree to live in for three months. Rather than make the choice on his own and hear complaints throughout the tour, he decides to let the family help make the decision.
After losing the Mann Tank challenge to Chantal, Tia is determined to prove her make-up business, Tilly Kiss, can thrive. She decides to open up a pop-up shop in town. Will she succeed or will she have to "kiss" her dreams goodbye?

BETO Campaign Caught Spending Campaign Funds on Illegal Immigrants
In Project Veritas’ latest bombshell investigation, undercover journalists found that staffers for the Beto O’Rourke campaign in Texas have been illegally using campaign funds to purchase supplies and providing aid to illegal immigrants currently in federal detention. While we only have staffers on record admitting to this misuse – no actual documentation or proof of impropriety – it should provide sufficient cause for the Texas Attorney General’s office to launch an investigation.
The video, coming just days before Texas voters head to the polls to choose between O’Rourke and Ted Cruz in the Senate race, is a crushing blow for the popular liberal candidate.
“The material Project Veritas Action Fund captured shows campaign workers covering up the true nature of spending of campaign funds and intentionally misreporting them,” said an attorney for the activist group. “This violates the FEC’s rules against personal use and misreporting. It also violates Section 1001, making a false statement to the federal government. The FEC violations impose civil penalties, including fines of up to $10,000 or 200 percent of the funds involved. Violations of Section 1001 are criminal and include imprisonment of up to five years.”
In a video captured by James O’Keefe’s guerilla reporters, campaign staffers Dominic Chacon and AnaPaula Themann admit to an undercover journalist that the campaign is deceptively using resources to funnel aid to the migrants.
“The Hondurans, yeah,” says Chacon. “I’m going to go get some food right now, like just some stuff to drop off.”
“How did they get through?” asks Themann.
“Well, I think they accepted them as like asylum-seekers,” he replies. “So, I’m going to get some groceries and some blankets.”
Themann warns: “Don’t ever repeat this and stuff but like if we just say that we’re buying food for a campaign event, like the Halloween events—”
“That’s not a horrible idea, but I didn’t hear anything,” says Chacon. “We can wait until tomorrow for that.”
“Well, that’s exactly the food we need. And I will just mark it as, I do have dozens of block walkers.”
Then Chacon notes that the campaign can use pre-paid cards meant for political expenditures to cover up the illegal expenses. “All that shit can be totally masked like – oh, we just wanted a healthy breakfast,” he says.
The O’Rourke video is just the latest in a series of outstanding revelations brought to the public’s attention by Project Veritas over the past month or so. It follows damning videos from inside the campaigns of Democrats all over the country, including Florida’s Andrew Gillum, Missouri’s Claire McCaskill, and Tennessee’s Phil Bredesen.
Good work, James.
