So I didn’t want to bring my original mewtwo out of my soul silver game yet, since I like that he’ll follow me around ;>

Thus when this event came about, I decided they would be my current gen counterpart which worked out really well for future reasons! But overall it was really fun to use Meau to beat the shit outta ‘Two and then pop ‘em in a dream ball and finally have the whole squad in game ;3

It's Karen Dwyer of the Darnell Forest Rescue Centre and have been tasked with the care of two of the Pokémon siezed in the November raid on The National Institute of Genetic research.

Debby has been in my care since early December. I feel she's starting to trust me as she willingly spends more time in my presence and has actually communicated her needs to me via telepathy.

This entry is about the newest Pokémon in my care. They'd spent a few months at the Pokémon Centre in incubator until they were certain they could survive outside of it.

This "Mewtwo" as they've been called is apparently something known as a "chimera" where two embryo's fused. It apparently resulted in a XY/XX genotype, carrying characteristics of two sexes. Their face is split completely down the middle colourwise, the Pokémon is like a tiny mosaic.

After much deliberation I've decided on a name, Dolly. Their name comes from two things, the first being Dolly the Mareep, famously the first cloned Pokémon. The other reason is due to their coat, patchwork like the coat of many colours referenced in the eponymous Dolly Parton song.

Unlike Debby, they're quite affectionate and playful and are anxious when we are separated. I will work on the separation anxiety first as I'm unsure of the long term plan for these Pokémon. The investigation could possibly take years and apparently there's evidence that some of these Pokemon have been taken from other dimensions.

Here's hoping it's just heresay and nothing troubling is found as uncertainty breeds discomfort.

February 6, Mew gave birth

We named the newborn Mewtwo

I’m a little late to the party but hey, better late than never! So here’s a little something for our favorite grumpy psychic cat. This is the first time I’ve tried my hand at digital art and I’m quite proud of how it turned out! I drew the original sketch on paper then scanned it and sent it to my iPad where I added colors and did some fine tuning. I struggled a little bit on some parts, like his hands and tail (Seriously Mewtwo, why are your hands so difficult?!). Other than that I think it turned out pretty good! If anything it gives me more motivation to get it right next time.

Holy shit that was easily the hardest of the 7-star Raids I’ve done so far. Especially with randoms. I was worried at first when the Bellibolt showed up but they ended up coming in clutch multiple times by paralyzing Mewtwo.

in case you didn't know this tumblr has a thriving mewtwo roleplay community. like they all have different mewtwo ocs with various back stories and visual variations and they interact with each other. there are really beautifully made comics and stuff

it is really annoying when you're just trying to find fan art of the og mewtwo. but it's like, beyond impressive. weird little communities you've never heard of that are clearly full of passion

Lost & Found

I changed a small thing on how Ash and Cinder (Mewtwo) meet. Itty bitty tiny thing. Ash doesn't get lost while at some Pokémon camp. (I misremembered the plot of the episode - < -) but rather during the time Ash gets lost in the forest believing he can go on an adventure as a five year old.

The big tree in the cannon episode Ash hides in during a storm with Pokémon is now used in my AU where Ash meets an injured, very traumatized Mewtwo. Ash still hides out from the rain with Pokémon for a short while and his resolve to travel the world with them is unchanged.

Just now, it marks where the lost become found.

can we get some fun fact about legendary mew ash?

I think i gave quiet a bit fot him, so there might be repeats, but sure!

- Ash is an Origin (read Ancestor) Mew that never hatched. Not considered a bad egg but an unhatched one.

- Ash's original purpose was to give their creations dreams and hopes, but since he didnt hatch, Cresselia overtook that spot.

- The youngest Legendary is a little over 7,000 years old, making them about 6,500 years older than Ash

- Because Arceus is so angry at the humans, she tried to raise Ash to hate them, ultimately failing in that regard.

- Arceus sent down a portion of himaelf to raise Ash amonst the pokemon, too distrustful of the fact that humans may take advantage of his split self and Ash's safety, they ended up disguising themselves as human. Due to the war going on, they chose a Female disguise, aka Delia.

- Ash's name is an actual recent pull, only about 65 years old. He was named by one Samuel Oak.

- Sam and Ash are really good friends, Oak knows about Ash but not Delia. He's the one that encourages Ash to see the world outside Delia's wing to decide what he wants to do.

- After that confrontation, Arceus allows it, bestowing upon Ash the job of keeping Legendaries and Pokemon safe, effectively marking him as the one and only chosen of the world.

- Despite Ash's designation, It takes a long time for Legendaries and Pokemon to recognize him as a Mew if he doesnt outright show/tell him. Disguising as a Human for over 500 years really put his cloaking abilities to the test.

- Saying this, when Arceus later touches down to earth on Modern day Sinnoh, they do not recognize their son since they dont actually ever see Ash's full human disguise. Later on, in the past, is the only time Arceus sees Ash as the Origin unhatched and promises to keep him safe until he is born.

- Ash has given his pokemon effective immortality, allowing them to pass when they please and not a moment sooner.

- Ash's favorite disguise is a Pidgoet. Big and able to carry those he loves and still keeping his ability to fly.

- Ash is the one that faces off Mewtwo, only being interrupted by a Younger mythical Mew (not an ancestor) who then needs to also be taught a harsh lesson by Ash.

Since I feel kinda the worst rn, I was playing around with an OCs concept using @pokemon-ash-aus original mewtwo lineart base. Actually liked this base more for this particular OC since it's visually closest to her body type. 👏👏👏

Short, compact, and angry lol. Also insecure. Will choose violence. Do Not the Cat.

Also, concerning the markings, the one on her stomach is a birth mark while the rest is discoloration of her skin and fur due to chemicals that she was exposed to shortly after a poor incubation period in the lab.

Anyway, my coloured concept of like a more Mew/feline Mewtwo. Alternates would be cool so I'll prollh design some random ones, just love the idea of some scientists just splicing the hell out of them. Added the markings based on like pallas cat/jaguar, get the jungle vibe. Didn't want to go too heavy on the markings tho.

Doesn't feel quite like it fits into Pokemon but yolo. Might name them in future if I use em for anything but I'll just give them the temporary designation of PRO-14.

when I was a kid I was big into collecting pokemon figures. I had this whole imaginary society of them spread across shelves in my room, they were split into type based communities like it was warrior cats. One time I got gifted a small bucket (I think) of used ones from someone whose kid was going off to college or just didn’t want them anymore, it’s too long ago to remember the details tbh. Point is mixed in there was a bootleg sneasel (color of hisuian sneasel with feathers on both ears), an unknown creature that was clearly a digimon (I put him on the psychic shelf. he had a big triangle on his forehead), and a bootleg vulpix. Bootleg vulpix was the color of a shiny vulpix, had three blue tails, and a cute little necklace. I assumed that like with bootleg sneasel, the creator had messed with the design to dodge copyright; specifically by basing it off the dex entries that say vulpix is born with one tail that splits and changes color as it grows. And for good measure using the shiny color and giving it an accessory. “She” was best friends with bootleg sneasel, and they lived together on the ‘Clone Shelf.’ In my pokefigure society this was a group led by mewtwo, consisting of them and another batch of bootlegs a family member found for me on a business trip in china. I knew they were all off brands but they were constructed just fine, so I explained their differences as a result of them being clones. Like mewtwo’s clone army in the first movie that had different markings. And if the first movie taught me anything it’s that clones belong in the pokemon world as much as anyone- who cares if they look a little different, or have a mutation that keeps them looking like a baby forever? The circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant! Well the point of all this sentimental backstory and lore dump is to tell you I just discovered. That apparently.

He’s not a bootleg vulpix. This animal who I’m seeing in context for the first time is named Corrine and is from a completely different game.
