Someone made me contemplate the idea of lovebites...

Something something about who wants to mark and to be marked and what it means to who...

Anyway. It gave me something to go on!

Takes place after they have sex and cuddle

After their hearty talk Hawke and Fenris made love, likely with Fenris on top, with Hawke pointing out that whatever anyone may say or think, Hawke gave himself to Fenris. And when Tallis or any of those noble snobs try to flirt with Hawke, Fenris is still the only one who matters and the only one who gets to do what he wants with him.

Once they were done with that they talked some more and discussed the idea of marking each other.

This too might have been Hawke's idea (because he doesn't really think much about these things, but feels it might be important to Fenris). He suggests that Fenris put his mark on him, lay claim in a way, and after that Fenris asks Hawke to do the same to him, so that they have matching marks.

Not exactly in your face, but not to be concealed either.

Yeah, yeah, we all know Fenris wants to be free and rid of his old slave settings, but I can't help believing he'd enjoy Hawke claiming him as his, having a physical reminder that Hawke chose him, especially if he gets to do the same.
