[Spark isn't going to answer this one themself. It's all me.]

They might not want to admit it, but Spark does appreciate it when Sage's kid, Marjoram, brings them cornflowers (their favorite). And they might admire the glow she emits from her freckles when she sees them or gets flustered purely from an aesthetic standpoint.

But Sage is the enemy and it'd be foolish to think otherwise about her child no matter how... different they are.

Some comic sketches for a future Spark comic.

It’s been twelve years since world-renowned scientist and hero Miles “Tails” Prower and his nephew, Spark the Sable have gone missing while out on a field mission. For their friends and family, the search has never ended even if the rest of the world has accepted that the two are likely long gone.

Sonic, especially, will stop at nothing to recover his little brother and child. Even if that means becoming more than just allies with Dr. Eggman, whose daughter, Sage, is mourning the loss of her own daughter, Marjoram who went missing around the same time.

Meanwhile, GUN has been losing generals, soldiers, and officers in the hundreds for the past decade and they’ve gotten no closer to uncovering the operations of the group responsible. After their top general in Apotos is assassinated in his own home, the stakes get even higher. They’re looking for total annihilation of the killers responsible and they’ll do anything to succeed.

With GUN no more than two steps behind them at all times, the group has to constantly be mobile to avoid getting compromised. Twelve years ago, Spark promised Marjoram that they’d run away together, but she didn’t envision being hidden away or forbidden from using her powers- even if it’s for her protection. But she loves her partner and she chose to come with them, so she’ll do whatever it takes to make it easier for him. But Spark can only push her and everyone else away for so long before she ends up alone.

And while several different storms are brewing on the horizon, Tails is prepared to protect his troop and bring an end to all of GUN once and for all before they can kill another of their kind.
