For the Marion prompt request, if you still want to do one, how about Marion helping take care of Luc? I just love the idea of Marion being good with especially chaotic children and handling him like a champ 💜

"Are you sure?" Yeza asks nervously. "He can be kind of a handful."

Marion shakes her head with a smile, "I raised Jester. I can handle Luc." The boy in question is currently sat on the ground a few feet away, tongue sticking out of his mouth as he tried to reload his crossbow. Marion pats Yeza's shoulder, "Have a day to yourself, you need one."

"Thank you, Marion. I'll be back to get him tonight." Yeza smiles gratefully at her and walks over to his son. "I'll see you later, okay? Be good for Miss Marion."

Luc nods, still distracted by his crossbow, but he lets his dad kiss his curls before leaving. Once Yeza is gone, Marion turns to the child on the floor of her bedroom. She crouches down next to him, "Do you want to see something cool?"

Luc looks up at her with big, mischievous eyes, exactly like her Jester. "What is it?" He asks eagerly.

Marion smiles and stands, offering the boy her hand. He jumps to his feet and takes it, his crossbow dangling from the other hand. "Come on, I'll show you." With that, Marion leads Luc out of her bedroom and down the stairs. She has to walk slow so Luc can keep up, halfling children are much smaller than she expected.

She takes Luc into the main room where tables are being prepared for her performance tonight. Luc looks around at all of the people much bigger than him carrying around huge platters of centerpieces and candles. Luc's eyes catch on a server struggling to carry a pile of table clothes and he starts to aim his crossbow.

Marion puts her hand on top of the toy and lowers it. Before Luc can look at her with a pout, she says, "I have a much better place to do that." She winks at him and starts walking again, Luc catching up eagerly.

Marion takes Luc on stage and then into the wings. Ropes and beams and hanging lights are all above them, in the cramped space between the top of the stage and the ceiling. She looks down at Luc, gives him another wink and with a tune hummed under her breath, she and Luc disappear from the wings and reappear a hundred feet up on the cat walk.

The cat walk over looks the whole ballroom, giving both of them a clear view of every person. Luc's eyes go wide and he looks up to Marion with an excited grin. "Did we just teleport!"

Marion smiles, "We did. Now, if you're amenable, I have a target I need neutralized." Luc puts on a mock serious expression and readies his crossbow. "Very good, this is a very serious job, one that I would only give to my most trusted associate." Luc puffs out his chest.

"Who do I got to kill?" He asks, deepening his voice.

Marion crouches down to his level so she can point to his target, the biggest person in the room. Bluud is hailing down a server, pointing to something on their tray.

"Tall, scary guy with horns?" Luc asks. Marion nods and watches as Luc preps his crossbow, bracing it against the bars of the railing for extra stability. Just like his mother taught him, he stares down the shaft, eyes narrow until he finds his target.

Then he pulls the trigger.

Marion and Luc watch as the wooden arrow (with a rubber tip) sails over the crowd until in slams into Bluud, right on his forehead. Marion is stunned for a moment, Luc is much more adept with a crossbow that she realized.

Then Luc bursts into laughter, Marion follows a second later, clutching the railing. Bluud picks up the bolt with a confused frown, but upon hearing their laughter, looks up at them, having to crane his neck way back to do so.

He huffs and tosses the bolt aside. "Oh no, we better run!" Luc exclaims.

"I think you're right." Marion takes Luc's hand again and they vanish from the cat walk.
