Walz has served as Minnesota’s governor since 2019 after 12 years in the House of Representatives and now chairs the Democratic Governors Association. He has built a reputation as a folksy politician who can get things done, as Minnesota has adopted a number of progressive laws during his tenure. According to a poll conducted earlier this year, Walz enjoys an approval rating of 55% among Minnesotans. Since Minnesota Democrats achieved a legislative trifecta in the 2022 elections, Walz and his allies have used their power to push a slate of progressive policies. The governor has signed bills protecting abortion access, expanding background checks for prospective gun owners and legalizing recreational marijuana. “Right now, Minnesota is showing the country you don’t win elections to bank political capital,” Walz said last year. “You win elections to burn political capital and improve lives.” That philosophy has endeared him to progressives, who threw their support behind him as the veepstakes kicked into high gear over the past two weeks. They reshared clips of Walz lovingly mocking his daughter’s vegetarianism and tinkering with his car to paint him as the dad that America needs right now.
This is fucking awesome! Honestly, sincerely good news and a very promising pick for the potential Harris Administration. An aggressive, unabashed, popular, populist left-winger with a track record of enacting real, substantive help for people is capital-G Great.
What has he done, specifically?
Abortion rights
In a 1995 ruling, the Minnesota Supreme Court upheld abortion rights in Minnesota. In January 2023, Walz signed the PRO Act (Protect Reproductive Options Act) into law, making abortion a "fundamental right," as well as access to contraception, fertility treatments, sterilization and other reproductive health care.
The law made Minnesota the first state to codify abortion rights in the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court's 2022 ruling in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which nullified Roe. v. Wade after nearly 50 years of precedent. In April 2023, Walz signed the Reproductive Freedom Defense Act into law, shielding women and providers from any legal action originating from the patient's state.
Pro-LGBTQIA+ legislation
In March 2023, Walz signed an executive order to protect the right of residents to have access to gender-affirming health care. Weeks later, he signed the "Trans Refuge" bill, banning the enforcement of arrest warrants, extradition requests and out-of-state subpoenas for those who traveled to Minnesota for care.
"When someone else is given basic rights, others don't lose theirs," Walz said. "We aren't cutting a pie here. We're giving basic rights to every single Minnesotan."
Paid family, medical and sick leave
In May 2023, Walz signed a law creating a state-run program to provide paid family and medical leave for Minnesota workers, funded by a 0.7% payroll tax on employers, by 2026.
Legalization of recreational marijuana
In May 2023, Minnesota became the 23rd state in the nation to legalize recreational cannabis use. Three months later, people 21 and older could start to possess certain amounts of marijuana at home and on their person, in addition to legally growing up to eight plants at a time.
Restoration of voting rights for former felons
In March 2023, Walz signed a bill that restored the right to vote to more than 50,000 convicted felons who had already served their time.
Universal school meals
Amid the increase in food insecurity for many Minnesotans during the pandemic, and the subsequent strain on the state's food shelves that remains to this day, Walz signed a bill in March 2023 that ensures all K-12 students in the state have access to free breakfast and lunch on school days.
Do you know what makes this even better?
Fuck 'Em. I know negative partisanship is important and can help motivate right-wingers to vote, but they're going to vote anyway. And him being afraid of Walz is just a sign that he's a good pick, in policy and politics.

Hey Something Sorta Cool Happened in Nebraska for once.
Real quick background, back in about 2005 Nebraska had gotten rid of the lifetime ban on voting for felons, switching it to where people with felony convictions could be eligible to vote once they had completed their sentence and went through a two year waiting period.
Earlier this year, state legislators voted on and passed a bill (LB20) that would eliminate the waiting period, making it so those with felony convictions would now be eligible to vote as soon as they have completed their sentence. However, the Nebraska Attorney General, Mike Hilgers, had raised constitutional concerns and stated that the state's board of pardons was the only thing that could restore voting rights. This resulted in the Nebraska Secretary of State, Robert Evnen, to tell election officials to stop registering anyone with a previous felony conviction.
As the article states, the Nebraska Supreme Court ruled today, Wednesday October 16th, that LB20 was indeed constitutional and ordered the Secretary of State to remove the disqualifications he imposed in order to comply wirh LB20.
This means all Nebraska residents with previous felony convictions are now eligible to vote and have until October 25th to get registered for the 2024 Election.
If you don't know, this election is pretty important everywhere in the US. But in Nebraska, this is an especially big election. Beyond the presidential election, Nebraska also has some competitive US Senate and House races this year along with several really important initiatives that include both abortion and medicial marijuana.
Not only that, but the neat thing when it comes to the Presidential Election is that Nebraska is special when it comes to its electoral votes. Instead of all the electoral votes going to the popular vote winner of the entire state, the votes get split up by district. The only other state that does this is Maine.
While Nebraska is still mostly a red state, District 2 (which mostly includes Omaha and some of the surrounding areas) has been known to go blue, giving its electoral vote to the democratic candidate. An example of this being the 2020 Election where the District Two electoral vote went to Biden.
This ruling from today is so significant for voting rights in the state, especially when disenfranchisement has been on the rise.
I dont have that much reach to be honest and I really don't have many followers who know even one person from Nebraska, but if you happen to know like anyone from Nebraska, let them know especially if they might know more Nebraskan who might potentially be thinking their are ineligible to vote when they are.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE ONLINE IN NE IS THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18TH
DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN-PERSON OR VIA MAIL IN NE IS NEXT FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25TH AT 6PM
Like seriously if you register in person, you could also just get your voting done the same day. I was literally at a Nebraska Election Office yesterday and someone came in and was like "Hey just became a resident rather recently, can I get registered?" And they were like "Yeah, wanna fill out your ballot today too?"
Sorry for the long post, I just saw the story earlier and also was driving past a bunch of billboards in Omaha on my way to my family's house this evening that were directed at getting those with previous felony convictions to register to vote and it gave me just a little bit of good news and hope when it came to the election which is fucking rare.
#i dont post my own words about politics much but sorta wanted to for this#2024 us election#us election#nebraska#voting rights#voting#also for other americans go vote or make sure you have a plan to vote#states who have early voting have either started their early voting or will be starting it soon#long post

Harris is actually a pretty decent candidate and here's why
I have seen a lot of the same talking points that lost us the 2016 election getting repeated - a lot of talking about the very worst parts of the Democratic candidate, mixed with a lot of "vote blue no matter who" nonsense and I just want to say... Harris actually is a pretty decent candidate and it completely kills me that NO ONE is talking about this. Is she perfect? No absolutely not. Are all American politics conservative compared to global politics? Well... they used to be. But lots of people have said that a rise of fascism here in the US have emboldened the right globally , so that's not great. In either case, yes they are conservatives. But their policies aren't completely terrible and in fact I agree with a decent amount of them. So here's the good things about the Harris campaign, and why you shouldn't just vote for her, but vote for her and feel good about it.
Economics
Harris has an 82 page PDF on her website with a plan to re-energize the middle class. It includes a ban on price gouging, a cap on insulin and investment in clean energy, among many other intersectional policies. It includes a bunch of affordable housing policies including banning large investor purchases. It simplifies taxes for small businesses. It would end unnecessary degree requirements on jobs. It's 82 pages densely packed with not just good policy but actionable policy, if I went through all of it, this post would just be nothing but the economic plan. The Harris economic plan is actually pretty good. Is it a socialist pipe dream? No of course not. I think it's better than that. It's progressive policy that benefits everyone in this country, which will make more progressive policies even more popular. This is the kind of economic plan that starts shifting you back to the left.
Race
Harris has made supporting Black men a priority for her campaign. This plan includes LEGALIZING MARIJUANA FEDERALLY in order to overturn unjust tough on crime convictions. Reading Harris' own campaign page for this post TODAY is when I learned Harris wants to legalize weed. The Opportunity Agenda which focuses on supporting Black men and the issues they told her they are facing also includes FEDERAL REGULATIONS ON CRYPTOCURRENCY. It includes 1 million loans for Black entrepreneurs (can't help but notice that one is carefully ungendered, Black women), invest in community violence intervention, launch a health equity initiative, and invest in combating discriminatory housing. Reading this policy on supporting Black men on Harris' own campaign page... this isn't just Democratic policy, this is legitimately left-leaning.
Queer Rights
One of the reasons I was pushed to write this up is that recently someone whose opinion I normally respect said that they didn't like Harris' answer that she would "follow the law" on providing trans care for inmates. A law her administration confirmed when they reissued the transgender offender manual, by the way. As far as I can tell Harris has a long and progressive history on queer rights, even with the nuance that she was legally obligated to defend the CA DoC when they sued over the matter in 2015. Harris treats trans healthcare as something obvious - a normal decision between a person and their doctor which should be protected like anything else while her administration also quietly enshrining access to health care into law. This is part of the problem. Biden has signed at least four separate executive orders about gender since he took office and no one talks about it. i think the conservative pushback on this topic has been so aggressive and widespread that it's been difficult to see what should have been the effects of Biden's progressive policy on LGBT issues.
Environment
Harris is very good on climate. I've already mentioned that it's worked into the economy stuff. She's got policy on reducing emissions, she investigated Exxon Mobil, and as a senator she co-sponsored the Green New Deal. She's waffled on fracking and seems to currently prefer making it economically nonviable as compared to clean energy, which isn't as good as a ban. But most of the policies she's supported aren't just "better than Trump" they're actually good.
Immigration
It would be dishonest of me to write all this up without getting into some of the things I dislike Harris on. I don't like Harris on immigration. No one does - she's either too lax or too strict. She wants to resurrect the bipartisan border security bill, which, although it does call to expedite asylum process, would also increase deportations and in my opinion makes too many concessions in the name of bipartisanship. Her stance has not been very vocal other than to say she supports this bill. But I've noticed that Biden's policies on immigration have often been softer than they appear, including caveats to keep families together and expand the possibility of legal immigration while controlling for illegal immigration. I'm not necessarily against that - a major source of illegal immigration is corporations trafficking workers across the border legally and then not helping them renew their work visas. That is something we need to crack down on at the corporation side in my opinion and I wish we could see a candidate who talked about that part of it as an immigration issues. This is something that I think Harris is too conservative on and I won't hide from that. I also don't think she's being given much of a choice. Conservatives are frothing at the mouth over immigration. It's really really scary. There are way too many people willing to take matters into their own hands on this one. I want something more progressive but I understand taking a stricter stance on this one as a form of harm reduction. If these people think the country is being "overrun," they'll just take the solution into their own hands. We don't want that.
Palestine
Yep, we had to get there. Look, no electable politician in the United States is going to give a good answer to Palestine. We are far too entrenched with Israel and imperialism and war profiteering for a leader to easily take the moral stance here - they would receive too much pushback from their peers. The bar is set really, really low here, and that isn't a good thing. I don't think Harris is going to call what's happening in Palestine a genocide while it's ongoing, and I don't actually think she'll withdraw military aid, though I am hopeful that she'll do what Biden has done before and restrict it. But I do know that Gazans say that Harris would be the better president and I do know that Arab Americans support Harris and I do know that Harris said Palestinians have a right to self-determination. I included this because it's an important issue for many voters and one of the biggest deal breakers for a lot of leftists in the US. I believe Harris will act in ways that make her complicit in genocide if she gets elected. And I believe she will try to limit that harm more than a lot of other politicians would. This is the one where I would say that in comparison the situation under her leadership would be much better than under Trump. Trump supports an Israeli victory, not a ceasefire. He's told Netanyahu to "finish the problem." In fact Trump has already contributed actively to the genocide in Palestine. He dropped the US commitment for a two-state solution in 2017 and declared Jerusalem as Israel's capital in the same year. He cut aid to Palestine and reversed US policy on the Golan Heights and the occupation of the West Bank. One of these candidates disapproves of what's happening, but might not have the backbone to stop it. One of these candidates will actively participate. And that's enough for my conscience to be clear.
In conclusion
Voting is about compromise and accountability. Who do I think will enact at least some policies I agree with, and how can I pressure them to enact even more? Elect Harris and then petition the White House to revoke military support of Israel and there is at least a chance they will listen. Elect Harris and we'll have at least a little longer to breathe clean air while fighting for a solution to all the other problems we have. Elect Harris and she'll LEGALIZE MARIJUANA WHY IS THIS THE FIRST TIME I'M HEARING ABOUT THIS.

Pretentious Coffee, Chapter 1
A/N: Yes, my friends. Behold! The return off my wildly popular Hiccstrid coffee shop/college modern AU. I am working on chapter 7 of Vetrnaetr as we speak. Since writing that take quite a bit of time and effort, I thought I would edit and post this oldie (but still a goody?) in the meantime. The fic also takes place around the Christmas season, so, well...why the hell not, amirite???
I also once saw someone say the characters' names should reflect modern names in a modern au. But...I don't care. You know who I'm writing about, and changing the names is cumbersome, so I've dropped the pretense. *jazz hands*
Rating: 18+
Pairing: Hiccstrid

Astrid’s head ached from the aftereffects of the previous night’s party. Between the deafening music, the pervasive smell of marijuana, beer, and vomit, and the morning’s brutal hangover, she vowed never to accompany her roommate to another “small get together” again. Ruffnut couldn’t be trusted. Astrid was unsure the other woman understood the concept of responsible, well-mannered entertainment. Like her twin brother, Ruffnut lived for the extreme, and Astrid had been their collateral damage more than once.
Hence her current state.
It was almost noon and she was standing in line for overpriced coffee in a tiny corner shop she never visited. It was cramped, but quiet; unlike the student café on campus.
Astrid was not one for caffeine, but she needed a pick-me-up to salvage the remainder of her weekend for studying. Unfortunately, her midterm exams would not pass themselves.
“Next,” the barista droned.
Astrid glanced up, scanning overhead chalkboard menu framed by poorly drawn snowflakes—to complement the abysmal weather outside, she supposed. Her eyes darted around, but settled on nothing in particular.
There were ten different kind of specialty coffees, an assortment of seasonal hot drinks, traditional coffee brews, and another half of the menu dedicated to blended concoctions.
Inexperienced in the ways of coffees and lattes, Astrid found it all a bit overwhelming.
“You know, this would be a whole lot easier on the both of us if you had—I don’t know…bothered to glance at the menu when you were waiting in line, nothing to do.”
Astrid blinked, staring at the barista who was leaning on the counter, propped up by his elbows. He quirked an eyebrow at her, and she was taken aback, torn between gaping at his rudeness and scowling back. She imagined her face did some odd sort of spasm between the two while she fumbled a response.
“I’ve never been in here before!” she blurted in her defense.
“Neither has that guy, but he ordered in two seconds,” the barista sighed, nodding toward the gentleman waiting for his drink in the pick-up area. “Blissfully uncomplicated.”
Astrid folded her arms, feeling herself bristle under the layers of winter clothing. “I don’t drink coffee.”
He laughed, straightening up. His name badge caught the light and her gaze flickered down to read HICCUP.
“Yet…you’re in a coffee shop?” he asked, his otherwise bored tone punctuated with burgeoning amusement.
Astrid rolled her eyes, dropping her arms to the side. “I didn’t mean I never—“ She stopped abruptly, feeling her temper rise at the gap-tooth smirk across the counter. She tore off her gloves and stuffed them in her purse for something else to focus on. “Well, I guess there’s a first time for everything, huh?” she sassed back.
“And this is the place you chose. Lucky me.”
She glared at him, leaning in. “Working real hard for that tip, aren’t you?”
He genuinely grinned. “The whole twenty-five cents you weren’t going to pay me to begin with? I’m devastated.”
Astrid’s headache was getting worse she knew who to blame. She huffed, rubbing her forehead. Her eyes were scrunched closed, half with pain, and half with exasperation. If she wasn’t already miserable from excessive drinking, “Hiccup” would have made her so.
“Look,” she hissed. “I’ll take the…gingerbread latte, small. Can you put an extra shot of espresso in that?” She shook her head as he opened his mouth to answer, disinterested in whatever snarky remark he had to share. “Oh, never mind. Just do it—and if it’s one of those girly coffees with whipped cream, you can just leave that off.”
Hiccup uncapped a sharpie and started scribbling on the side of an empty cup. “Extra-pretentious coffee with a generous dusting of privilege…”
“What?” she barked, wringing the strap of her purse like it was his neck.
If only.
Hiccup’s expression was neutral.
“A small gingerbread latte with an extra shot, hold the whipped cream. Why? What did you hear?” He passed the empty cup to the other barista working the espresso machine. “That’ll be three-fifty.”
Astrid rummaged around for her wallet, pulling out a crinkled five dollar bill and shoving it into his hand rather forcefully. He made change, and there was something about his even visage that was as infuriating as his snarky quips. Without a single word, Astrid still felt like he was making a mockery of things—his job; the coffee he served; her.
She tucked the change away, fingers cramming it down bitterly, all save for one quarter to hold over the tip jar. When Hiccup’s eyebrows arched in surprise, she withdrew it in spite. He just laughed, much to her increasing annoyance.
Apparently, along with his lack of professionalism, he did not have the capacity to take things seriously—but it wasn’t Astrid’s problem that he didn’t want to be tipped. For some reason, it bothered her all the same.
Hiccup splayed a hand over his chest, ruefully eyeing the quarter. “You’re breaking my heart.”
She scoffed and marched toward the back of the shop near the coffee pick-up. There was a small table by the window where she could watch the cathartic dance of the snowfall outside. It was something to gaze at with unfocused eyes as she ran through her flash cards for political science.
Of her upcoming exams, she feared that one the least, deciding it was the best content to review until her brain began firing on all cylinders again.
She shrugged off her jacket and her scarf, draping them over the back of the chair. She had been feeling heated, thinking it was her interaction with a certain intolerable barista, but as she sat down, she noticed just how warm the shop really was. With less layers, it was actually pleasant, and she pulled out ring of flash cards from her purse.
Not more than four cards in, her latte was delivered by a tall, gangling figure—fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how one looked at it—and her mood soured, until she saw the water bottle set down alongside her drink.
“For the hangover,” Hiccup explained, no attitude to spare. “Works better than espresso, anyway.”
Astrid stared up at him, puzzled.
It was in the daylight filtering through the window that she finally saw him properly, and that face, so unassuming and unimpressed by everything around him, rang a bell. Something about those eyes and that irritating carelessness lit a match in her memory—but it was only a tiny flame, incapable of illuminating the bigger picture. She did not know when or where, but she was sure she had seen him before. It was dim inside that little coffee shop, but closer to the window, Hiccup had eyes that were not easily forgotten.
He quirked his brow again and only then did she realize she had been staring.
“What makes you think I have a hangover?” she asked, wishing she had not noticed the familiarity in his tone.
Too suddenly, she was noticing other things—his jawline and stubble, and the flattering fit of his black work slacks. Objectively, he was easy on the eyes, and it was a great cosmic injustice that he did not have the corresponding personality.
“Maybe it’s the fact you’re in here studying in the middle of a Saturday, trudging through crappy weather, spending too much on coffee you never drink, and squinting excessively?” he replied. “Or maybe it’s just a barista’s intuition?”
Astrid snorted, but reached for the water. Her throat was becoming drier the longer he stood there.
“Your intuition is shit because I’m not squinting. I’m glaring, and you’re the reason.”
Hiccup rubbed the back of his neck, smirking. “Okay, Ms. Not-hungover. Consider it a midterm special—coffee and water.”
“And what do I owe you for this ‘midterm special?’”
With a straight face, he answered, “A quarter would suffice.”
Astrid sneered, reaching for her purse. “You’re such an idiot.”
She produced the quarter, holding out to him with a flat stare.
“Maybe I am, but I’m not the one hungover the weekend before midterms—ah! Excuse me. Not-hungover,” he said, walking away with his hands up.
“Jackass,” she muttered, raising her latte to her lips. She yelped and nearly dropped the cup, fanning herself furiously as the drink scalded her.
“Beginner’s tip: Coffee is usually hot,” Hiccup called from behind the counter.
Astrid continued to glare at him, even after he had looked away. She still held him in her sights, even after her expression softened a bit.

born and raised in brooklyn, new york ... the nunez family kept to themselves and focused on their own inner workings rather than allowing themselves to be yanked into the dramatics that were always happening around them. a family full of opinionated people and individuals that enjoyed the adrenaline of confrontation; having a child was enough to allow isabella and jose to finally take a step back and avoid having to be the switzerland of conversations.
although a quiet child, andrea was still her parents child - making sure their voice was heard when it mattered and never one to back down from a fight. their silence allowed for observation to take place, looking from afar to detect a sitaution before it getting out of hand and being capable of handling an argument before the peak began.
not entirely a popular individual; bullies targeted the young teen, solely because of their confidence regarding how to hold thier head up and refusing to associate with the popular crowd. having a distaste whenever a cheerleader made their way over to her table to try and start up a conversation.
not entirely a loner, but definitely comfortable within their own company. with headphones cover their ears, a good book and a comfortable place to sit, andrea was able to float through high school without much thought regarding it. they didn't hate the four years, but they also didn't entirely enjoy it; always having something to complain about in their written journal.
college wasn't instantly an option. not wanting to rely on financial aid and their parents not being the wealthiest; andrea began working as a waitress at a local bar and grill at the age of nineteen, taking every tip that was made and keeping it into a safe.
it wasn't until a year later that the funds began to add up enough that their first year could be paid for - which was more than enough to convince andrea to finally pull up their big girl pants and apply to the college everyone wanted to attend ... baird college.
with a heavy interest in the psychological workings of true crime documentaries and enjoying the case studies presented in their psychology high school class, it wasn't hard for andrea to know their path and what steps were needed to be taken.
touring the school earlier than most, wanting to get a full understanding of what to expect; falling in love with baird was something that was slightly expected but not to the extent that it happened ... and it didn't help that there was a voice in their ear telling them all the fun things they would get to do once she got to campus in the fall.
despite enjoying college, andrea never changed in personality. still the type to hide out with a book and enjoy their own company, but also capable of knowing when going out is necessary for their own mental health. a social drinker and someone that's able to clap back with sarcasm but have a smile on their face, they're well liked by peers.

On Alternative Cannabinoids:
Unraveling Delta THC: From 0.3% Hemp Definition to Manufacturing Insights
In recent times, the discussion around Delta THC, particularly Delta-8 THC, has surged, with these cannabinoids becoming more accessible in states with strict cannabis regulations. The roots of Delta THC trace back to the commercial CBD boom, where the term "hemp" began to signify cannabis containing 0.3 percent or less THC by dry weight.
The 0.3% Conundrum
The 0.3 percent THC threshold finds its origin in Ernest Small's 1979 book, "The Species Problem in Cannabis: Science & Semantics." Small proposed this seemingly arbitrary number to distinguish hemp from cannabis due to the lack of taxonomical differences. The 0.3 percent rule later shaped the legal definition of hemp in the Agricultural Act of 2018.
Hemp's Legal Landscape
The 2018 Farm Bill transformed the hemp landscape, making it legal to grow hemp throughout the United States, provided it contained less than 0.3 percent THC. This legislation also paved the way for federally legal hemp-derived CBD products. However, marijuana, with more than 0.3 percent THC, remains federally illegal, while state laws on cannabis usage vary widely.
Vital Elements in Delta-8 THC Manufacturing
The production of Delta-8 THC demands meticulous attention to key elements:
Starting Material: High-quality hemp free from contaminants.
Extraction: Careful extraction methods like CO2 or ethanol extraction.
Isomerization: Controlled process to prevent unwanted byproducts.
Refining and Purification: Techniques like chromatography for a pure extract.
Testing and Quality Control: Rigorous testing to ensure purity, potency, and safety, with a growing body of evidence supporting the relative safety of Delta-8 THC.
Delta-8 THC: The Conversion Process
To produce Delta-8 THC, CBD is extracted from hemp, preferred for its low THC levels. Two crucial steps in the conversion process are isomerization and chromatography.
Isomerization:
Isomerization is the chemical process through which CBD is transformed into Delta-8 THC by rearranging its molecular structure. This reaction typically involves exposing CBD to a catalyst, such as an acid or a metal catalyst. This controlled process is essential for achieving a consistent and high-quality Delta-8 THC product. Isomerization is a pivotal step in the manufacturing process, facilitating the conversion of the non-psychoactive CBD into the mildly psychoactive Delta-8 THC.
Chromatography:
Chromatography is a refining technique used to purify the Delta-8 THC extract obtained from the isomerization process. This method separates different compounds based on their chemical properties. By passing the Delta-8 THC extract through a chromatography column, unwanted compounds can be effectively removed, leaving behind a more pure and concentrated Delta-8 THC extract. This refining step is crucial for ensuring the final product meets rigorous standards of purity, potency, and safety.
Exploring Other Cannabinoids
Beyond Delta-8 THC, the cannabis plant houses a plethora of cannabinoids, each with its unique properties and potential applications. THC-A, THC-O, HHC, and others have garnered attention for their distinct effects. THC-A, the non-psychoactive precursor to Delta-9 THC, is being explored for its potential therapeutic benefits. THC-O, a synthetic cannabinoid, has gained popularity for its purported intensified psychoactive effects. Hydroxyhexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is another emerging cannabinoid with reported euphoric effects. As the cannabis industry evolves, ongoing research explores the diverse uses and production methods of these cannabinoids.
In Conclusion
The journey from the 0.3% THC definition to the rise of Delta-8 THC unveils the complexities of cannabinoid regulation and production. As the industry navigates legal landscapes and explores novel compounds, acknowledging user experiences and the evolving understanding of safety considerations becomes an integral part of the conversation.

Gorilla Glue Strain Guide:
Growth, Benefits, and FAQs
If you're on the hunt for a strain that packs a punch, you've probably heard of Gorilla Glue. It's a powerhouse in the cannabis world, known for its heavy-hitting effects and sky-high THC & THCA levels. I've explored countless strains, but Gorilla Glue always stands out as a top contender for those seeking a potent experience.
In this article, I'll dive into what makes Gorilla Glue a favorite among enthusiasts. From its unique flavor profile to its versatile effects, there's a lot to uncover about this sticky, resinous bud. Whether you're a seasoned smoker or new to the scene, get ready to discover why Gorilla Glue could be your next go-to strain for Exotic THCA Flower.
What is Gorilla Glue?
Gorilla Glue, also known as GG4, is a potent hybrid strain that has taken the cannabis world by storm. It's a full-bodied, balanced mix of Chem's Sister, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel, giving it a complex aroma and a wide range of effects. Recognized for its incredibly sticky resin, the name Gorilla Glue is a testament to the powerful grip of its effects, which can glue you to your couch with its overwhelming sense of relaxation.
Boasting high THC levels that can reach up to 30%, this strain is a favorite for those looking for a heavy-handed euphoria and relaxation. It has won multiple awards, including the 2014 Cannabis Cup and the High Times Jamaican World Cup, solidifying its reputation as a top-tier strain.
The buds of Gorilla Glue are typically chunky, resin-covered, and radiate a pungent, earthy, and sour aroma, which hints at the intense flavor that awaits users. Upon consumption, the taste of coffee and mocha with slight diesel undertones can be detected, providing a complex taste that perfectly complements its relaxing effects.CharacteristicDetailStrain TypeHybridParentsChem's Sister, Sour Dubb, Chocolate DieselTHC LevelUp to 30%AromaEarthy, SourFlavorCoffee, Mocha, Diesel UndertonesEffectsRelaxation, Euphoria, Heavy-Handed
For medical marijuana patients, Gorilla Glue has been noted to aid with chronic pain, depression, and sleeping disorders like insomnia. Its high THC content also makes it suitable for combatting symptoms of anxiety and stress, as long as it's consumed responsibly.
In my experience, I've found that Gorilla Glue also fosters creativity and can be helpful when engaging in artistic activities or brainstorming sessions. Its potent effects can be quite cerebral, offering more than just a physical high. The strain's versatility makes it popular not only among recreational users but also within artistic and medical communities.
The Origins of Gorilla Glue
The ancestry of the Gorilla Glue strain is as rich and complex as its flavor profile. Diving into its lineage, I've discovered that it's the result of an accidental cross between the Chocolate Diesel, Sour Dubb, and Chem's Sister strains. This serendipitous event took place in Nevada, highlighting the unpredictability and excitement inherent in cannabis cultivation.
The creators, Joesy Whales and Lonie Watie, stumbled upon this hybrid after noticing some of the Chem's Sister plants hermied and pollinated the Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel. The outcome was a strain with unparalleled potency and a standout terpene profile. As I delve further into its history, it's clear that the effectiveness of Gorilla Glue comes, in part, from its impressive genetics.
While its roots are firmly planted in cannabis lore, Gorilla Glue's rise to fame wasn't instantaneous. After its discovery, the strain gradually garnered attention in the cannabis community for its heavy-handed effects and multipurpose usage. The adhesive brand Gorilla Glue actually sued the cultivators over the name due to its sticky nature, leading to the strain often being referred to as GG4.
Here's a brief snapshot of Gorilla Glue's journey:
Accidental origins in Nevada
Crossbreed of Chocolate Diesel, Sour Dubb, and Chem's Sister
Remarkable genetics leading to its strong effects
Name dispute with the Gorilla Glue adhesive company
Gained fame for its versatility and strength
As this history unveils, Gorilla Glue's development wasn’t just a mere chance but a testament to the remarkable surprises that cannabis genetics can present. I've noticed that the story of Gorilla Glue resonates with enthusiasts not only because of its qualities but also due to the almost mythical narrative of its origin. It’s these types of stories that add depth to the strains we enjoy and foster a profound respect for the plant’s intricate kinship and the cultivators who bring them to light.
The Characteristics of Gorilla Glue Strain
When we delve into the characteristics of Gorilla Glue, it's clear why it's become a staple in the cannabis community. GG4's hallmark feature is its potent effects which appeal to both recreational and medical users. This hybrid strain typically contains a THC level that can range from 18% to 25%, making it a powerful choice for those seeking a heavy-hitter.
What sets Gorilla Glue apart is its complex aroma and flavor profile. It boasts a pungent earthiness mixed with notes of coffee and chocolate, owed largely to its Chocolate Diesel heritage. This makes for an indulgent smoking experience that's robust and satisfying.
Dense, resinous buds are another standout trait of Gorilla Glue. They're often a vivid green, studded with orange hairs, and covered in a sparkling layer of trichomes—a nod to the strain's sticky moniker. The buds are a sight to behold and the sticky texture makes it a bit of a task to break them apart without a grinder.
The effects of Gorilla Glue are as striking as its physical attributes. Known for providing a wave of euphoria and relaxation, it's frequently sought after by those looking to manage stress, pain, or insomnia. Users report feeling an initial head rush, followed by a soothing sedation that doesn't necessarily lead to couch-lock, allowing for versatility in consumption opportunities.
From a grower's perspective, GG4 is a relatively hardy plant that is resistant to mold and pests, making it a manageable endeavor for both novices and experienced cultivators. It typically has a flowering time of around 8 to 9 weeks and while it can be grown both indoors and outdoors, it does require a bit of space to stretch.
The staying power of Gorilla Glue in dispensaries and amongst enthusiasts is not just about its potency—it's a full package of aroma, flavor, and effects. Its ability to deliver a powerful punch while still offering a complex taste profile ensures that it's a go-to strain for those who appreciate intricacy in their cannabis experience.
Flavor Profile of Gorilla Glue
When I talk about the flavor profile of the Gorilla Glue strain, I'm diving into a complex world of tastes that entice the senses. Coffee and chocolate are the most pronounced notes that hit the palate upon the first inhale. These rich and bold flavors meld seamlessly with a pungent earthiness, characteristic of many heavy-hitting strains. The experience is akin to sipping a gourmet espresso in a lush forest; it's invigorating yet grounding.
But there's also a sweetness that undercuts the robustness, reminiscent of sour citrus fruits. This tangy twist is a delightful surprise, making each session a multifaceted journey. Enthusiasts often detect subtle hints of diesel, which speaks to the strain's Chem Sis and Sour Dubb heritage. This combination of sweet, bitter, and sour makes Gorilla Glue a standout in terms of flavor.
Terpenes, the aromatic compounds in cannabis, play a huge role in shaping Gorilla Glue's distinct taste. Myrcene, limonene, and caryophyllene lead the terpene profile and contribute to the strain's sedative qualities as well as its complex aroma. Their interplay is not just enjoyable for the tastebuds but also therapeutic, synergizing with the cannabinoids to enhance the strain's overall impact.
To fully appreciate the depth of Gorilla Glue's flavor, it's best consumed in a way that allows for a gradual temperature increase, like a vaporizer. The gradual heat brings out the intricate layers gradually, making the tasting experience akin to a fine wine tasting. Each puff reveals a new nuance, a whisper of spice or a burst of sweetness, ensuring that the palate never grows tired.
In cultivating Gorilla Glue, growers have achieved a remarkable balance that appeals to connoisseurs and casual users alike. It's a testament to the strain's carefully selected genetics and the meticulous care that goes into its cultivation. Even as a seasoned consumer, I find the flavor profile of Gorilla Glue to be richly satisfying, a true highlight within the cannabis community.
The Effects of Gorilla Glue
When diving into the effects of Gorilla Glue, what stands out is its fast-acting and intense high. As a hybrid strain with a high THC content, it provides a wave of relaxation that often leads to a deep, sedative state. For those navigating the hustle of everyday life, it's the ideal way to unwind. Immediate relaxation is the hallmark of this strain, but there's more to it than simply soothing the senses.
Let's break down the key effects:
Stress relief: The strain works wonders for melting away tension and has become a go-to choice for stress relief.
Pain management: Many users report significant pain reduction, making this strain a favorite among those with chronic pain issues.
Improved sleep: Its sedative effects contribute to better sleep patterns, a boon for anyone dealing with insomnia.
But it's important to acknowledge that Gorilla Glue isn't just about physical relaxation. The mental effects can be just as profound. Euphoria is often cited by enthusiasts, describing it as a powerful mood enhancer that brings about positivity. Soon after consumption, a sense of uplifted spirits and wellbeing takes over, which can be particularly beneficial for those struggling with the blues. For creative minds, it sparks a surge of inspiration and focus that might fade into a dreamy haze as the experience progresses.
The potency of Gorilla Glue should be met with respect. Newcomers are advised to start with a lower dose and build up gradually. This approach allows users to adjust to the impact of the THC levels, which can be overwhelming if underestimated.
For those keen on indulging in Gorilla Glue's robust effects, it's also wise to carve out time in a comfortable setting to fully enjoy the experience. It's the kind of strain that commands attention and sets the stage for hours of relaxation and introspection. Whether you're looking to destress after a long day or seeking therapeutic relief, Gorilla Glue remains a heavy-hitter in the cannabis world.
Gorilla Glue and Medical Benefits
While I share information on the Gorilla Glue strain, it's crucial to understand its therapeutic potential. My experience conversing with medicinal cannabis users has consistently highlighted Gorilla Glue as a go-to for various ailments. Patients report significant relief from chronic conditions, a benefit I attribute to the strain's high THC content and robust cannabinoid profile.
Pain Relief and Anti-Inflammatory Properties
This strain’s effectiveness in managing pain can't be overstated. Chronic pain sufferers have noted that Gorilla Glue helps dull persistent aches. This numbing effect is likely due to the strain's anti-inflammatory properties, which may reduce swelling and alleviate pain at its source.
Mental Health Uses
Those battling with mental health concerns, such as anxiety and depression, have found solace in Gorilla Glue's calming effects. The euphoric and uplifting feelings it induces can be a game-changer for mood disorders, grounding users and assisting in managing daily stressors.
Insomnia Relief
Turning to Gorilla Glue for sleep issues is another common use I've encountered. The sedative qualities of this strain make it a powerful ally against insomnia, lulling users into a peaceful sleep. Patients have expressed appreciation for its ability to help them achieve a full night's rest without the grogginess often associated with traditional sleep medications.
Dosage Considerations
It's imperative to remember that the potency of Gorilla Glue means that a little goes a long way. Patients should consult with healthcare providers to determine the right dosage for their specific needs. Starting with a low dose and gradually increasing as necessary can help individuals find the most effective and comfortable treatment level.
Growing Gorilla Glue at Home
Growing Gorilla Glue at home can be a rewarding experience, provided that you understand its unique growing requirements. When I began cultivating this strain, I quickly learned that it's a relatively hardy plant that adapts well to different environments, making it suitable for both novice and experienced growers.
The first thing you'll want to consider is whether to grow indoors or outdoors. Gorilla Glue thrives in a controlled indoor setting where temperature and humidity can be closely monitored. But it's also quite resilient when grown outdoors, especially in a warm, sunny climate with consistent temperatures between 68°F and 85°F.
For optimal growth, focus on the following:
Soil Quality: Gorilla Glue prefers rich, well-draining soil. I've found that a mix high in organic matter fosters healthy root development.
Nutrient Intake: This strain responds well to a balanced diet of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. Incorporating a comprehensive fertilizer regimen into the grow process boosts overall plant health and bud production.
Watering Schedule: Overwatering can be detrimental. I maintain a consistent watering schedule, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between watering sessions.
Lighting: If growing indoors, an 18-6 light schedule (18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness) is ideal during the vegetative stage, switching to a 12-12 schedule to induce flowering.
Gorilla Glue's flowering time typically falls around 8 to 9 weeks. What's exciting is that this strain is known for its hefty yields. With proper care, indoor growers can expect about 18 ounces of flower per square meter, while outdoor growers might see as much as 21 ounces per plant.
Pest and mold resistance is another characteristic of Gorilla Glue that eases the cultivation process. However, regular checks are important as preventative measures. I like to use neem oil as an organic pest control solution and ensure good air circulation to ward off mold.
Training techniques such as topping and low-stress training (LST) can also greatly increase yields. Topping involves cutting off the top of the main stem to encourage lateral growth, while LST involves gently bending and tying down branches to expose more of the plant to light.

Pot bigger than chocolate
CNN chose April 20 - the mythical holiday for pot users - to point out that Americans are now buying more marijuana than chocolate ... as if the two indulgences were disconnected.
In fact, it could be argued that chocolate consumption - along with cookies candy. ice cream, Doritos, Twinkies, etc.,etc., - surely benefits from the rise in pot consumption.
The numbers are undeniably impressive: Last year, Americans spent $30 billion on legal marijuana. That’s not counting the black-market trade, or the backyard gardeners, in states - there are 20 of them, plus D.C. - where cultivating small crops of cannabis for personal use is perfectly legal. (Technically, there’s still a Federal law against it, but it’s never enforced).
As for chocolate, it came in, according to CNN’s figures, at a rich-and-creamy $18 billion in annual sales. And the only way is up.
So, why April 20 ... or, “4/20,” as its known ...? I could find no convincing explanation in my incomplete research. I found only this:
“Popular lore ties the birth of "4/20" to a group of high schoolers attending Northern California's San Rafael High School in the early 1970s. The cohort which dubbed itself the ‘Waldos’ used to gather at 4:20 pm to toke up.”

BIO:
Jackson was born an only child, and it shows. Spoiled he was, but mostly by his mom. The image of a perfect family reigned in the household since his father started his political career by holding a position within the local government of Aurora Bay when Jackson was only 4 years old. There couldn't be any fault in the Ellis family or there would be consequences. Jackson had to be perfect and have the best grades and he did. In fact, Jackson was always in the top of his class growing up. He was popular as well, even in elementary, simply because of how charming and nice he was. His teachers would speak highly of him anytime there was a parent-teacher conference and his peers wanted to be around him all the time.
However, his behavior wasn't perfect to his father, whatever that meant, and his father had put his hands on little Jackson for the first time at the age of 7 years old, and many times after whenever he would 'mess' up or get caught for 'misbehaving'. His mother never had a clue about it as Jackson kept quiet. This continued up until he started dating Liza.
Once high school started, he became a little rebellious. He kept his grades up but he'd skip classes here and there, he'd smoke weed, and he wouldn't uphold appearances as his father would ask of him. It was part of being a teenager as his mother would say. Junior year is when Jackson's life was completely flipped as it was the year his father officially became Mayor of Aurora Bay. Jackson had to attend events, he had to be cautious of who he spoke to, what he was doing, and what he would say to his friends about his fathers career because consequences were much harsher.
It wasn't until he had skipped class one day that the perfect family image that he had to uphold was shattered. He wasn't expecting anyone to be home. All he wanted was to smoke a bowl of weed and hang out on the beach for the day. So when he walked inside his house, the last thing he was expecting was to see his father with another woman. He was livid. How could his father do this to his mother? It disgusted him. He had to tell his mother, and when he told her-another unexpected outcome came out. His mother knew it all along. His father had affairs with other women throughout his life. He asked his mother why she would stay with someone like that, and her answer… "I love him. And it's normal for men to have these fantasies, so I let him." This caused a huge change in his relationships with both his father and mother. He never looked at them the same. He couldn't talk to anyone about it because if word got out - it would ruin his fathers image. And then he met Liza Levin during his senior year, and she helped aid the pressure he felt. It was nice to connect with someone who he could relate to. He could tell her anything though he never told her about the abuse. He trusted her with everything. He fell in love with her. She was everything that he needed. His parents, especially his father approved of Liza so much so that he jumped at the chance to live with her once high school was over because it meant he'd get away from his own dysfunctional parents and he did see a future with her.
Whether he should've pushed for better boundaries, or maybe he should've let up on the charm - the grass seemed to be greener on the other side. It happened on his birthday, "Honey came in and she caught me red-handed" in their bed with another woman that wasn't Liza. He couldn't take it back. He knew what he had done. He in fact admired Liza for leaving him. She deserved better than that. Since then, his mothers words about his father have haunted him. The last thing he wants is to become his father, but that was set in motion the moment he cheated.
These past ten months have been the longest Jackson has been away from Aurora Bay. It's been quite healing as he's been in therapy since he left AB. A whole new life... but San Francisco isn't Aurora Bay. Call it home sickness because his last night out with friends ended in a very much drunk Jackson crying about how much he missed Aurora Bay and the beach. It was embarrassing, but he knew he had to come back. Luckily, his mom sold their house on Aurora Bay Drive and bought herself a condo in SF and a house on Seabrook Quarter where Jackson will be living and paying rent.

"I didn't know him"
The keep-it-real fairy tale would reach a darker chapter. Rumors abounded that Biggie had cheated on his wife with rapper and protégé Lil Kim, then a member of Junior M.A.F.I.A., and Charli Baltimore, a lesser known rapper discovered by Biggie. Faith, who never let her personal life interfere with her career, focused on work. "I still had to maintain my daughter and get her to school. I was still mother hen," she says.
In 1996 Faith found it hard to turn down an offer to record a song with Tupac Shakur for a self-negotiated $25,000. Now she knows this was not the best move. "I had no idea that Tupac had been signed to Death Row Records," she writes. "He had only been out of jail a few days when we met at the Hollywood Athletic Club. I hadn't yet heard that Suge Knight had bailed him out in return for signing to the label and immediately recording an album. If I had known, I would have never in a million years agreed to it."
Her decision led to a decade-long rumor that she slept with Shakur, which she denies. Even today she becomes unsettled by the topic of Tupac, and when pushed to talk about him, a clearly rattled Faith parses her words carefully. "I didn't know him. I don't know what (motivated him). That's like speaking for someone, and with him being dead, I definitely don't like trying. I'm glad I got through it the best I could." Unfortunately, she would not see a dime of the money from the recording. She says he told her if she wanted the money, she would have to "suck his d**ck," and feeling humiliated, she left.
By that time her marriage to Biggie was strained. She once caught another woman in his hotel room. That same year she picked up her belongings and left their Brooklyn home altogether, opting to live out of hotels with young Chyna in tow, crashing on the couch at the group 112's Manhattan apartment, while planning to rent her own place in a Manhattan high-rise. During their separation, she would discover he was having an affair with Lil Kim after Kim made a bold appearance on Wendy Williams's popular radio show. Biggie had asked Faith to befriend Kim, all the while not knowing there was an affair. Faith called the radio show afterward and defended herself.
Still in love, she and Biggie had occasional romantic reunions, which resulted in the birth of their son Christopher. "Everybody that knows me and knew Big knew that we had a bond," said Faith, who was confident that they would patch things up - until that fateful March night in 1997 when Biggie was murdered. Eventually, Faith returned to recording and began dating Todd Russaw, a friend who had comforted her on the night of Biggie's death.
"I had four kids and I owe the government"
In 2005, when Evans signed with Capitol Records, she had been married to Russaw for seven years. But life wasn't exactly drama-free. In January 2004, she and Russaw were arrested in Hapeville, Georgia, with marijuana and cocaine in their car. The couple agreed to enter a 13-week drug intervention program, and after completion the charges were dropped. Still, rumors persisted that she was on drugs, which she addressed in, "Again," the first single from her album The First Lady.

DiapOut: Chapter 2
“Attention, diaper butts! Today’s meeting of the West Edmonton Tech Diaper Lovers Club, aka the WET Diaper Lovers Club, has officially commenced! Please take your seats so we can go over our itinerary.” Standing at the front of a room that was more fit to be a broom closet than a classroom, Kyoko was beaming with excitement. Sure, her newly-founded club only had four members including herself, but that was enough to officially be declared a club on campus.
For the better part of two years, Kyoko had been hard at work pushing the West Edmonton Technical Institute to allow her to start a club for adult babies and diaper lovers alike. And for two years, she’d been met with a slew of reasons why it was an impossibility, most of which had to do with ABDL’s more kinky tendencies. In response, Kyoko took it upon herself to study harder than she ever had in her life, rising up to be one of the best students on campus. In response to her academic accolades, she was granted a meeting with the dean of students and from there was able to convince him to give the WET Diaper Lovers Club a chance.
“I’ll give you one year. If you can prove that your club is not only financially stable but also vital to student life, I’ll see to it personally that your club receives administrative approval for the foreseeable future,” said the dean, giving Kyoko the yellow light that she hoped would soon turn green.
The following month was spent focusing on recruitment. Despite ABDL’s uptick in popularity, many on campus refused to let their college life be dedicated to something so childish, even if they were into diapers. Thankfully, she was able to find three like-minded people who understood why she wanted to build this community in the first place.
“At the top of our agenda is still recruitment…Secretary Cade, please make sure you’re taking minutes,” she said, causing all eyes to fall on the resident stoner of the group.
Shrinking down in his chair and tucking his vape pen into his pocket, Cade did his best to shake off the cannabis-induced brain fog as he picked up his pen and notebook. “Sorry, Kyoko,” he said, before turning to his best friend and business partner, Rupert, to whisper, “You were supposed to elbow me when we got started!”
“I tried. You were totally zooted dude,” said Rupert, stifling a chuckle as his best bud glared at him.
While Kyoko’s efforts over the last few years had been focused on getting her club up and running, Cade and Rupert had taken the same time to establish a business of their own. As the son of a botanist, Rupert had possessed a green thumb from a very young age, a trait that would one day lead him to grow his own marijuana strains. He didn’t just want to grow garden variety flowers though. He wanted to create the ideal strain for achieving Little Space.
Enter Cade, a fellow stoner bab he’d initially met online, only for them to find out that they shared a campus together. As a chemistry student, Cade was full of surprises when it came to what he could concoct. With their powers combined, they planned to take the ABDL stoner world by storm.
“As I was saying, fall recruitment was a bust,” said Kyoko, leaning over a desk and shaking her head dejectedly, “Personally, I blame the school for placing our booth in such a low-traffic area. Regardless, we now need to work double time if we’re going to bring in new members. The floor is open to ideas.”
A lofty silence filled the room, which did nothing to lower Kyoko’s anxiety. Thankfully, the fourth group member slowly raised his hand with an interesting idea in mind. “I think I may have something, Kyoko,” said Zeke, the Vice President of the WET Diaper Lovers Club and Kyoko’s closest confidant.
Starting university the same year as Kyoko, Zeke was struggling to find a place to fit in. The once cocky and arrogant high schooler had become a ball of social anxiety in the summer before college after an accident at the Pretty Pretty Princess Doll Factory resulted in him becoming part of the tour in the worst ways. Inadvertently, his misfortune of being turned into a Betsy Wetsy dolly had awakened his desire to be dressed and diapered like a sissy baby girl, something that only Kyoko was knowledgeable of.
“Many of the students I’ve spoken to have an openness to ABDL, with several expressing outright that they're into it. Our biggest hurdle right now isn’t convincing our fellow student body to give ABDL a try, but to devote time to a campus community that is heavily kink oriented,” said Zeke, his voice barely registering and his words coming out rushed as he pushed himself to speak in front of a group, “I propose we find ways to illustrate the benefits of finding a community of acceptance geared toward a special interest like this rather than pushing the broader context of ABDL as a whole.”
Smiling, Kyoko knew she’d made the right choice when selecting her VP. In spite of Zeke’s shortcomings as a speaker, he had a knack for cutting through the fog to find the root of a problem. “That’s an excellent strategy. Do you have anything specific in mind?” she said, giving Zeke a soft pat on the back.
Flipping his laptop around for everyone to see, Zeke put his idea on display. “It may seem a bit outlandish, but this kind of publicity could be just what we’re looking for,” he said as he hit play on the video he had pulled up.
“Hiya kiddos! CassiRole is here with an exclusive update,” said the eccentric, diapered performer before placing a finger to her own mouth and lowering her volume, “Can you keep a secret? I’m backstage right now on the set of a brand-new game show. MY brand-new game show! It’s called DiapOut and it will be premiering at the end of next month as a first-of-its-kind ABDL competition! Starting today, we’re on the hunt for our first batch of contestants, specifically teams of four. Check out the link in the description to sign up today!”
As CassiRole finished her statement, a voice from off-screen called her name, signaling that it was time to get back to work. She quickly waved goodbye and blew a kiss to the camera as she ended the video.
“It may seem far-fetched, but imagine for a second if we got on this show. It would put us on the map in terms of on-campus communities. The WET Diaper Lovers Club as seen on TV,” said Zeke, getting louder and more excited with each syllable, “Plus, we have just enough members to form a team. So…what do you guys think?”
Slowly but surely, an eager grin grew on the faces of everyone gathered around. For Cade and Rupert, they saw an opportunity to advance their careers in the ABDL marijuana business. For Kyoko, this was the opportunity she’d been waiting for to scale her club up to the next level. No doubt, the notoriety they’d gain from appearing on a game show would bring in a ton of fresh faces to her club. With her mind made up, she stated confidently, “How do we sign up?”
-------------------------------------------------------------
“Five minutes to places!” said the assistant director over the green room’s loudspeaker.
Unable to sit due to the adrenaline that was coursing through her veins, Kyoko couldn’t believe that they had not only made it onto the show but were going to be competing in the flagship episode. As the minutes ticked closer to the start of the show, her vibrant energy only grew stronger.
“Hey, Kyoko, why don’t you sit down for a sec,” said Zeke, who was all too familiar with Kyoko’s knack for working herself up. In a way, he was thankful that someone was more anxious than he was, even if her anxiety was brought on by excitement unlike his. Up until this point, he’d stayed relatively quiet about his diaper-loving status. No longer would that be an option once the cameras started rolling, “Yo, Cade, you still got that weed pen. I think Kyoko could use something to take the edge off…me too, honestly.”
Shaking his head, Cade responded, “Sorry, dude. They confiscated it when I entered the studio. Fricking prudes,” he said, rolling his eyes, “I think Rupert may have some edibles in his bag, but they're pretty strong.”
“Nevermind, thanks anyway,” sighed Zeke, doing his best to decompress. Returning to where Kyoko was sitting, he found her quietly rehearsing the speech she was expected to give for the group as dictated by production. Patting her on the back in the same way she often did for him, Zeke took a seat next to his bestie, “Hey, no matter what happens out there today, we’re all proud of-”
“Shhhhh! I need to study,” said Kyoko, brushing off Zeke’s comment as her brain was hyper-focusing on her speech. More than just the prize money was on the line for her. Two years of painstakingly clawing away the sensibilities of the West Edmonton Tech school board would not be for nothing. To her, winning wasn’t an option, it was a necessity.

Despite the progress made in the cannabis industry, challenges remain. The federal status of marijuana continues to create a complex legal landscape. This duality can affect banking, taxation, and distribution, leading to ongoing discussions about reform.
Additionally, public perception of marijuana is evolving, but stigma persists. Many advocates in Seattle work tirelessly to educate the community about the benefits of cannabis, striving to break down misconceptions. As more people turn toSeattle marijuana for both medicinal and recreational use, efforts to promote understanding and acceptance continue to grow.
