In another post, Germ shared a photo of a commemorative mural the community had painted following Abdulrab's death. "I LOVE YOU MERMZ . According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office, Abdulrab had been shot multiple times, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. DeMarcus Brinkley, 27, has since been arrested in connection to Abdulrab's kidnapping and murder. He was taken into custody in Griffin by the Georgia State Patrol after a traffic pursuit that led to a crash, according to the newspaper. On Friday there was a heavy police presence for hours and a crime scene tape was placed along Burroughs Street near his home between the Chosewood Park and Grant Park neighborhoods. At around 6 a.m., officers received a call regarding a shooting in the Lakewood Avenue and Terrace Way neighborhood in southeast Atlanta. They found nothing of this call. During the course of the investigation, investigators determined that the appeal was likely related to this incident, and investigators responded by patrolling the area when a witness called at around 9:55 a.m. to report a deceased person who was found circa 1907. Lakewood Avenue, ”the police said in one sentence. Investigators found the woman and established that she was the same person who had apparently been kidnapped earlier on Burroughs Street. The two scenes are a kilometer and a half apart. Police said investigators were able to identify someone interested in the kidnapping and that she was arrested outside the city.
