“I know I don’t have a say in the matter, but it really pisses me off how much the Cambridge’s use their nanny. Both Kate and William use the excuse about being parents to exuse them being workshy. However when I see a picture of Kate and the children in the park, Maria is always there. When the news about William, Kate and the children using the train (the private jet fiasco with meghan and harry) guess who was there with them, ah yes! Maria! I probably sound stupid because we don’t see much into their private lives, but when Kate and William are at home does Maria still watch them?” - Submitted by Anonymous

Do we know if the Cambridges' nanny Maria lives at KP? And more specifically, does she have her own apartment or does she live with the family in their apartment? Thanks!
According to this article she gets accommodation at Kensington Palace but I don’t believe she lives with them in their apartment: https://www.forbes.com/sites/ceciliarodriguez/2014/03/23/kate-middleton-and-prince-william-take-on-a-foreign-nanny-and-feed-a-trend/#5ff524376aec

I don’t need a nutritionist to tell me what my son should eat. The fact that she does is slightly frightening and makes me wonder if she is going to be a insane helicopter parent.
^ because you are a proper parent who is actively involved with your child and takes care of him, knows what he likes and what is best for him. You are actively parenting him with everything that a parent should, and raising him with love and respect and morals and teaching him right from wrong etc.
Meanwhile Meghan is so not a mother in anything but a title, same with Harry as no parent ships their only child off to be raised with a team of nannies, nutritionists and therapists. That tells you that they have no interest whatsoever in that child, and most likely this second one as well.
It happened back in the era that The Queen was. One that children were shipped off to wet nurses, nannies, governesses etc. whilst their upper class parents did squat aka nada whatsoever. It’s actually quite rare nowadays for the aristocracy and nobility to do so as they actively take an interest in their child from pre-birth to adulthood.
Again it’s very telling that Harry and Meghan aren’t involved in Archie’s life and aren’t interested in the slightest as they’d rather he be someone else’s problem not theirs.
Thank you! Parenting is a tough job and every day you have so many doubts as to what you’re doing and if you’re doing it right.
I think what has always struck me is all the Kate bashing comments and articles prior to Archie being born. Harry made the comment that their child’s nanny won’t be Mary Poppins and wear a uniform like Maria, the Camb’s nanny. She only wore the uniform for special events. Also, that uniform is something to be proud of. Nanny Maria went to the Norland school which is the ELITE nanny school. Harry and Meghan also insisted they weren’t going to hire and nanny like Kate & William (Maria started when George was 8 months). H&M put out so many PR articles that they wouldn’t have a nanny and would be hands-on parents from the start. Then we find out that they had two nannies the second Archie was born. Kate was on her own for days when William was working...she talked about how hard it was...
https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a16566402/royal-nanny-maria-teresa-turrion-borrallo-facts/
Then there were the comments about Meghan not dressing her children in the outfits Kate dresses her children in.
So they aren’t interested in the historical aspect nor tradition of what that clothing represents. Kate knows that the outfits she choses will be used in side by side comparisons throughout the years.
I think Meghan and Harry are putting the emphasis on everything that doesn’t matter when it comes to parenting. You are right as well. If Archie is spending time with all of these different adults when is he spending time with his own parents? Plus Harry and Meghan are supposed to be working on these new projects so from what they would have us believe they are very busy. Too busy to take care of Archie’s actual needs?

ДЕТИ ПРИНЦА УИЛЬЯМА И КЕЙТ МИДЛТОН ПЕРЕХОДЯТ НА ДОМАШНЕЕ ОБУЧЕНИЕ ИЗ-ЗА КОРОНАВИРУСА / PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON'S CHILDREN SWITCHED TO HOME SCHOOLING DUE TO CORONAVIRUS Герцог и герцогиня Кембриджские готовятся к переводу детей на домашнее обучение. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are going to educate their children at home. Both George and Charlotte will now be taught their curriculum through online learning platforms. The royal couple can also receive help from their nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who was trained at Norland College, which trained nannies for Britain's elite since 1892. Meanwhile, the British royals are no strangers to being home-schooled as private tutoring has long been a royal tradition. The monarch and her sister, the late Princess Margaret were educated at home and they have actually never sat academic exams in their lives. Currently all UK schools are closed until the end of coronavirus pandemic as per UK government. #принцуильям #кейтмидлтон #кембриджские #дети #домашнееобучение #великобритания #королевскаясемья #джордж #шарлотта #принц #королева #букингемскийдворец #карантин #европа #пандемия #george #charlotte #royal #family #queen #cambridge #buckingham #palace #princewilliam #katemiddleton #children #homeschooling #coronavirus #pandemic #quarantine (at Kensington Palace) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-G_eQCAKfI/?igshid=4xpmwe8wxhcq

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry hire nanny for Archie: How much do royal caretakers make? - Fox Business
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry want the very best nanny to help care for their firstborn child as they fulfill their royal duties. But royal childcare comes at a cost. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex hired a full-time nanny about five weeks after Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was introduced to the world. Before starting the job, the new hire was required to sign an "extensive non-disclosure agreement," royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday. The nanny, who is reportedly a U.K.-born female, will have a huge responsibility caring for the baby boy, who is seventh in line to the throne, behind his dad. MORE FROM FOXBUSINESS.COM... Archie has already been dubbed a "very rich" young man and his royal parents "aren't hurting for cash" either, Money says. Former "Suits" star Markle was worth roughly $5 million before exchanging "I dos" with Prince Harry, who is estimated to have between $25 million and $40 million, per the finance publication. Archie's great grandma, Queen Elizabeth II, is worth a whopping $500 million, according to Forbes. The British monarchy as a whole — including the value of their various properties, jewelry and other "concrete assets" — is worth an impressive $88 billion, Forbes reported, citing a 2017 report from Brand Finance. So, it's clear his parents can afford to pay their staff well. But just how money do royal caregivers make, exactly? Typically, royal nannies go through rigorous (and pricey) training before signing an official contract. For example, Prince William and Kate Middleton's live-in nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, attended Norland College in Bath, England.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and their youngest, Prince Louis. (Chris Jackson/Pool via AP) "The nannies are taught everything from defensive driving to security issues to how to care for a future king or queen," royal commentator Victoria Murphy told ABC News in 2015. "So just really knows everything that you could possibly need to know about bringing up a child." The annual tuition for Norland adds up to about $21,800. On average, Norland graduates start out making around $40,000 a year. But Norland says their full-time nannies usually end up making much more: between $48,000 and $82,000 in London, $40,000 and $57,000 outside of London and up to $101,000 overseas. "Salary ranges depend upon the Norland Nanny's experience, work history and the number of hours required by the client," Norland states online. "A daily position is normally 50 hours per week; a residential position is normally 60 hours per week." CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX BUSINESS APP Royal contributor Omid Scobie told ABC News Archie's nanny won't be working weekends nor will she live at Frogmore Cottage. Last month, the palace revealed Queen Elizabeth was hiring a social media manager. The position, which clocks less than 40 hours per week, pays at least $33,495 a year. If you're caring for a royal baby — especially a firstborn, it's safe to assume you'll be making more than that. Read More Read the full article

“I'm happy to see Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo is hanging on as the Camridge royal nanny. I watched William and Harry grow up, watched the nannies come and go. It is so nice to see that William broke that cycle for his kids. (Diana grew up like that too, even worse, so many nannies like a revolving door at Park House.) I love happy stories like this. Every "tradition" is not equal. Some need to be let go and turned on the head! :)” - Submitted by Anonymous

Who are the Norland Nannies, the elite childcare providers that will likely care for Meghan & Harry’s new addition?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at a recent public appearance
Meghan Markle’s baby is due any day now.
A royal baby means royal childcare, which means that a spotlight is now on Norland College, an institution in Bath that is widely thought to be the most well-regarded nanny service in England—if not the world.
Founded in 1892, the College regards itself as “steeped in history, but focused on the future,” providing their nannies with the tools to educate children so that they will be prepared for careers and ideas at the forefront of the 21st century.
With Meghan Markle’s baby due any day now, the royal world is abuzz with lots of concerns about the new royal family—including who will care for the baby.
Elite childcare is no joke. Business Insider recently reported on “Baby Ivy” kindergartens in New York, proving that the race to get children ahead basically starts in the womb these days.
Royal culture savants will remember similar conversations when Kate Middleton was giving birth. Middleton and Prince William originally employed 71-year-old Jessie Webb after William was born. They brought her out of retirement to help temporarily with George, but have since chosen a new nanny: Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, a graduate of Norland College.
Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their uniformed Norland Nanny.
Norland nannies are thought to be the most well-regarded nanny service in England, and it’s likely that Markle and Prince Harry will choose a Norlander as well.
At Norland, students pay close to £15,000 for their degrees. Norlanders are expected to complete a minimum of three years of training, which amounts to a basic undergraduate level degree in Early Years Development and Learning. To earn a full diploma at the college, students study for an additional fourth year, which prepares students for the practical aspects of the chair of children aged zero to eight.
Norland nannies
Okay, so what makes a Norland nanny so special? Besides the sticker price—entry level Norland nannies cost about three times the average childcare provider, and more experienced Norlanders can earn six figures—Norland nannies receive training in far more than just changing diapers and preparing meals. The Norland curriculum also includes things like skid-pan driving training and self-defense to ensure that the nanny is prepared for anything that life may throw at them.
Norland nannies aren’t just for royals, either. Mick Jagger notably hired a Norlander to look after his children. They’re also so popular in the Middle East that Etihad Airways now offers Norland-approved “flying nannies” on some routes. Plus, the college recently had its first two male graduates, meaning Norland truly has something to offer everyone.

How To Become A Nanny For The British Royal Family - The Cheat Sheet
New Post has been published on https://harryandmeghan.xyz/how-to-become-a-nanny-for-the-british-royal-family-the-cheat-sheet/
How To Become A Nanny For The British Royal Family - The Cheat Sheet
Higher ranking members of the British Royal Family have hectic schedules and a ton of travel on their plates. As a result, no matter how hands-on Kate Middleton, Prince William, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry are with their children –they still need a nanny to fill in the gaps when they can’t be there.
Though many of us had babysitters or a grandparent to watch us when we were little, nannies for the British Royal Family have much more extensive roles than that. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge found their nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo when Prince George was just 8-months old. Now that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to welcome their first child in just a few weeks –we’re sure they’re on the hunt for their own royal nanny.
How to become a royal nanny
Just because you know CPR and have spent time watching your younger siblings doesn’t mean you qualify to be a royal nanny. Royal nannies are typically educated at Norland College in Bath, England. At Norland, nannies are taught that “a child is never naughty.” Royal nannies are trained extensively for three years in sewing, cooking, diaper changing, child psychology, health, philosophies of childhood education as well as self-defense so that they can be prepared in the event of a kidnapping attempt. Other courses include lice removal, checking on a child’s online activity, and discretion. They earn a Bachelor’s in Early Years Development and Learning.
In year four, they are trained in practical aspects of the care and development of children in the early years. According to the school’s principal, Dr. Janet Rose, “Students can choose to take [virtual] home overnight before they complete 25 hours of newborn experience with real babies.” After year four they receive their specialized Norland diploma.
Getting accepted into Norland College
Norland doesn’t just accept anyone into their elite school. After all –nannies will be caring for the little royals and the British elite. Dr. Janet Rose explained, “approximately 30 percent of applicants will be unsuccessful.” Rose told Town & Country, “Amongst many traits, Norland nannies need to be loving, kind, honest, creative, responsible and organized so we look for candidates with these characteristics. The interview comprises a one on one interview and a group presentation.” You must have some prior childcare experience before applying.
How can you get a job as a nanny with the British Royal Family?
At the end of their four-year extensive education and training, Norland graduates take an 8-week social etiquette course which shows them how to eat a pear correctly, discusses body language, and addressing someone with a title, among other things. For aspiring royal nannies –this is a must. In addition to a Norland eduction, royal nannies like Nanny Maria Borrallo have at least a decade of work experience and a squeaky clean background.
How much are royal nannies paid?
A typical salary for Norland graduates who act as live-in nannies is about $55,000. However, with three little ones to look after in the royal family, we’d assume that Borrallo might be getting paid a great deal more especially since she is wrangling three children.
Wearing the royal nanny uniform
During official affairs, like Royal Weddings or Christenings, royal nannies must wear their distinctive brown uniform. When the royals first started hiring nannies in the 1800s, the uniforms were created so that the nannies would not be mistaken for housemaids. Now –when they aren’t at formal affairs the royal nannies wear civilian clothes.
It might be too late for you to become Baby Sussex’s nanny –but if you love children and have dreams of working with the British Royal family check out Norland College here.

There were no exceptions, not even for royalty, meaning that Meghan Markle was unable to sit next to Prince Harry, despite flying more than 3,000 miles to attend.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal that Miss Markle, 35, who missed the morning’s church ceremony and champagne reception on the private Englefield estate, arrived at the evening festivities on the arm of her beau, dressed in a stunning maroon backless gown.
But despite her hotly anticipated arrival at the event, held in a 140ft glass marquee in the Middleton family’s back garden, all eyes were on the bride, who had changed into her second dress of the day, an elegant, white floor-length gown with v-neck and sparkle details
The society nuptials of the year was witnessed by family, close friends and famous faces including tennis star Roger Federer and wife Mirka, celebrity Donna Air, Princess Eugenie, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, as well as Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Also among the congregation of the 12th century church in Englefield, was Pippa's controversial uncle Gary Goldsmith and Lady Gabriella Windsor, daughter of Prince and Princess Micheal of Kent.
After the ceremony, Pippa and James walked hand-in-hand from the church and posed for the waiting press before sharing a lingering kiss at the lych gate as their married life began.
Ahead of them the tiny pageboys, dressed in gold-coloured britches and shirts, and bridesmaids in cream sash dresses had scattered confetti petals from baskets.
The bride, who looked tanned and toned, had managed to keep her wedding gown a secret until she arrived - a bespoke Giles Deacon wedding gown, crafted to create the impression of being seamless.
When she first arrived with proud father Michael in an open-topped vintage Jaguar, big sister Kate played a vital role and ensured her younger sibling looked her best for her big day.
She rearranged her train and other parts of her dress before she made her procession into St Mark's, a reversal of Kate's 2011 wedding to William, when Pippa was pictured fussing over her sister's gown.
Kate, who wore a peach dress by Alexander McQueen and matching hat by Jane Taylor, acted as a much-needed chaperone for the bridesmaids and page boys, although her nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, wearing her distinctive brown Norland uniform, was also at the service.
The duchess arrived with the young group, who wore outfits by exclusive children's clothing company Pepa & Co, and marshalled them back into the two luxury limousines that ferried them to the church.
As they drove away, future king George gave a wave to the small group of photographers and cameramen capturing the social event.
The best man was the groom's brother, former Made In Chelsea regular and reality television personality Spencer Matthews.
He also played a traditional role welcoming guests at the lych gate and being a point of contact for St Mark's clergy.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom led the way for their wedding guests to the nearby Englefield House, where a champagne reception was staged in its long gallery.
Mother of the bride Carole, who wore a peach outfit by Catherine Walker, beamed as she left and Harry was spotted chatting to a female guest.
The wedding party included around 200 people who made their way up the slight hill to the house to enjoy champagne.
The reception lasted two hours and the happy bride and groom were later spotted driving away in an E-type Jaguar convertible to cheers from well-wishers.
The wedding attracted around 100 royal fans who stood near a public road and cheered at key moments, including arrival of the bride.
Security was also tight with a large number of security personnel on duty. The road approaching the church was blocked off to those not involved with events and there were reports of a sniper in the church's bell tower.
The wedding is rumoured to have cost Pippa's parents Carole and Michael hundreds of thousands of pounds, with an expensive glass marquee and posh portable toilets hired for the evening reception at their Bucklebury home.
