Margaret Constance Cooper or Margaret Grace Cooper has been my oc for her since 2010 :) Please feel free to use her, and Grace is Grace from Little House on the prairie one of my favorite book series since I was four

Until we get a canon name here are some choices for Shamy's daughter's name ( as well as some reasons, as Leonard Cooper is named for Leonard Nimoy and of course Leonard's bestie): - Mary (Sheldon's mom's name, also the name of a character on Little House on the Prairie) - Beverly (Leonard's mom's name, also the name of Wesley Crusher aka Wil Wheaton's character's mom on Star Trek) - Nora (The Flash/Barry Allen's Daughter) - Penelope (What Penny is derived from) - Laura (Little House on the Prairie Author/Character's name, also it stars with an 'L'. So she would match with Leonard.

Unfortunately I think that was our last chance of getting to know her name :( (unless someone gets.. very persuasive with the Steves or Chuck but they already said they kinda chose not to choose). But I like the way you think sweet anon!

Off this list, I like Laura because of the L thing and because it'd be something more on Amy's side as Leonard is mostly off Sheldon (although of course she loves Lenny too!). But also she definitely could name her daughter after her bestie too. My personal headcanon has always been Marie tho, after Marie Curie, and it's also basically Mary and Sheldon is a momma boy.

... yeah it bugs me they didn't bother to come up with a name.

I cannot believe I never read Susan Cooper as a kid, I can’t wait to continue this series

Very impressive, creepy, funny Atwood poetry and short fiction

The ninth (ninth!) of the Robin Hobb books I’ve read, the only modern-ish giant under-edited fantasy series I’ve ever Ben able to get on board with. Too long and oddly paced, but better characters than any other similar series, love them.

Title: "Sheldon and Margaret's Big Decision"

It was a typical Saturday afternoon in the Cooper household. Sheldon was sitting at the kitchen table, his laptop open in front of him as he reviewed a scientific paper. Leonard was on the couch, watching some documentary on the discovery of ancient civilizations. Meanwhile, Margaret, now eight months old, was crawling around the living room floor. She had recently discovered her ability to pull herself up on the furniture, much to Sheldon's joy and, secretly, his anxiety. Margaret had one goal that afternoon—her father’s prized collection of comic books, stacked neatly on a low shelf in the corner. Her little hands reached out eagerly toward the colorful covers, and Sheldon’s eyes immediately darted over.

“No, Margaret,” Sheldon said firmly, putting his laptop aside. “Those are *not* for you.”

Margaret's tiny hand hovered inches from the comic book cover, and for a moment, it seemed as though she might understand. But then, her lip began to quiver, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

“No, no, Margaret,” Sheldon repeated, but his words were not enough to soothe his daughter’s growing frustration. Her bottom lip curled downward, and a whimper escaped her, followed by a full-blown cry. Margaret's face scrunched up, and her little fists balled into tight, chubby hands as tears began to spill from her eyes. Sheldon’s heart immediately twisted, an unfamiliar feeling settling in his chest. As a man of logic, emotions weren’t exactly his strong suit, but this was his daughter. The sight of her upset was almost unbearable. Leonard, hearing the crying from the couch, sighed and glanced at Sheldon. “You might want to pick her up. She’s not going to stop until you do.”

Sheldon looked at Leonard with a scowl. “I am perfectly aware of that, Leonard. But I also have to explain to her why I said no. It’s a learning opportunity.”

Margaret’s cries grew louder as Sheldon walked over to her. He knelt down beside her, and for a moment, just looked at his daughter, trying to find the words to make her understand. She didn’t know why she couldn’t play with the comic books; she was simply confused by the situation. Sheldon gently scooped Margaret into his arms, settling her against his chest. The little girl hiccupped as she continued to sob, her tiny fists still pressed against his shirt. Sheldon placed a gentle hand on the back of her head, speaking softly.

“Maggie, listen to me,” Sheldon said, his voice surprisingly tender. “I know you wanted the comic books, but they’re not safe for you yet. You could tear them, and I’d be very upset, and you don’t want to upset your father, do you?”

Margaret sniffled and hiccupped, her big blue eyes looking up at him as though trying to understand the meaning behind his words.

“I know it’s hard, sweet girl,” Sheldon continued, his voice gentle, “but you’ll have your own books when you’re older. I promise.” He shifted her slightly so she could rest her head on his shoulder. “It’s just not your time yet.”

Margaret, though still upset, seemed to calm slightly in his arms. The whimpers became softer, though her lip still trembled. Sheldon sighed deeply, leaning his head against hers. “I’ll get you something else to play with. How about your blocks? You like stacking them, don’t you?”

Margaret sniffled once more, and Sheldon smiled gently, brushing her tears away with his thumb.

“Blocks it is,” he said, standing up and gently bouncing her in his arms. “Maybe we can build a tower tall enough to touch the ceiling.” He tried to sound encouraging, like the offer was the most exciting thing in the world. Margaret blinked a few times, clearly still processing, but her crying stopped entirely as she snuggled closer to her father. Sheldon walked over to the play area and set her down gently on the soft rug. Margaret, now quiet, looked around and reached for the stack of colorful blocks nearby. Sheldon, watching her with a soft expression, muttered, “I’ve never been a fan of emotional outbursts, but I suppose this parenting thing will require more patience than I anticipated.”

Leonard chuckled from the couch, his voice light. “You’re doing great, Sheldon. She’s lucky to have you.”

Sheldon glanced over at Leonard, a small, somewhat proud smile tugging at his lips. “I suppose I am doing better than I thought. After all, I only had to say no once for her to understand that I’m in charge. Well, mostly.”

Margaret, now distracted with her blocks, gave her father a brief, content smile as she knocked over a tower she’d built with a little giggle. Sheldon couldn't help but chuckle softly, his heart swelling just a little as he watched his daughter play, the world a little quieter now. “Well, I suppose I’ll consider this a success… for today.”

As Leonard watched Sheldon interact with Margaret, a fond smile tugged at his lips. “Sheldon, you might not know it yet, but you’re already the best father she could have.”

Sheldon’s expression softened, and he nodded, a rare moment of contentment crossing his face. “I’ll take that as a compliment… from you.”

As the afternoon continued, Sheldon found himself more and more amazed by how easily he had adapted to this new role—fatherhood. Margaret might not understand everything yet, but in moments like these, she understood one thing for sure: She was safe, loved, and her father would always be there, even when he had to say no.

Margaret Rutherford (Blithe Spirit, The Importance of Being Earnest, the 60s Miss Marple films)—Margaret Rutherford was a fantastic comic actress who also serves as an inspiration to anyone who feels they’re too old to pursue their dreams - she didn’t start acting professionally until her Kate 40s, but was eventually made a Dame!! Queen of oddball female characters, she is a delight to watch in every scene, and always has big lesbian energy. If you don’t think she’s hot you’re just being cowardly.
