Happy National Hot Tea Day! Who knew that was a thing? Anyway this amazing Dragon Well is from Victoria at @meimeifineteas I nearly melted from the aroma of hot butter and sweet veggies in the hot dry leaf. Poured clear and finished crisp and sweet. Bright and citrusy is what I’d call this last post of #2018 Stepping into New Years Teave some Indian for the first time in a while with @tealula ‘s second flush offering. A perfectly reasonable Tie Guan Yin by @lidateahouse for your everyday oolong needs. I picked this up for a steal on @amazon (going against my better judgement of buying tea there since it is usually stale) and was pleasantly surprised. The dry leaf aroma is slight but man does it open up once the water hits it! It’s a little tangy mid tongue so careful not to oversteep. It is also a touch cloudy depending on brewing style (not shown). For the money, you could make this an every day tea. Coming back to what a black tea should be! Another decent offering from @tranquilitea_temple with their Qimen Panda. Have you been there yet? They have locations in West Chester and King of Prussia. There may be some broken leaves here but no fannings and the end result speaks for itself- a clear deep amber. And it happens to be my current daily drinker! Compare this with yesterday and it is a no brainer.
