Coffee tables - Time for a break?
Coffee tables take many shapes and forms but, generally speaking, a coffee table is considered to be a fairly small, low sitting table that would typically be the centrepiece of the common waiting room, lounge, or family room. Visit here to see more other living room furniture deals today. Coffee tables take many shapes and forms but, generally speaking, a coffee table is considered to be a fairly small, low sitting table that would typically be the centrepiece of the common waiting room, lounge, or family room. Coffee tables are utilitarian, in that they are normally used to store remote-controls, for the entertainment suite, books and magazines, and fittingly, are a great place to set down snacks or one's coffee mug when entertaining guests. However, as the centre-piece, contemporary coffee tables are also usually chosen to suit the style and match the existing interior-decoration of one's home to add to the overall effect. A wide range of quality Coffee Tables in a range of styles and materials including wood, glass or marble. Browse online at https://www.thelargecoffeetables.com
Accordingly, it is easy to find a very wide variety of modern coffee tables in different sizes, colours, shapes, fashions, and construction materials. Glass coffee tables are quite popular and if kept free of dust, add a pleasing aspect to the room. If combined with a stainless-steel or chromed frame, a glass-top coffee table will help to add to an overall clean, sleek, modern feel in a room.
Art-deco style tables are still readily available too as something of a relic from the 80s that is one style that seems to be diminishing in popularity as we now approach the end of the noughties. Even still, one can still find lopsided pastel-coloured plastic blobs and planes that appear to be stretched straight from some work, serving as coffee tables. Due to their diminishing popularity and simple construction, they tend to be cheaper these days. It should be noted that it is possible to find more tasteful designs built around similar themes.
If you are after a more classical look in your coffee tables then you probably want to be looking at wooden construction. On the cheaper end of the scale you can find new tables made from plastic imitation-wood, or veneer-covered chipboardî coffee tables, but these can have a somewhat tacky appearance and will tend to be poorer in quality.
If you are willing to spend big money, anywhere upwards of £200 for this small article of furniture, then you can find good quality solid wooden coffee tables that can really set a room off. With supplies of good timber and the loss of most of the world's old-growth forests, the only place one can find beautiful coffee tables made from solid wood (with the exception of pine) for less than about £1000, is at an antique furniture store.
If your pockets aren't quite that deep do not despair! If you're prepared to put some work in the best option is to look around for something you like at second-hand stores. For bargain prices one can find beautiful coffee tables in need of sanding down, staining, possibly some filling or new fasteners, and a couple of coats of clear varnish. The end result can be quite stunning, rendering a stick of furniture into a centrepiece that any homeowner would be proud of.
With the nature of business today the cost of producing complex hand-crafted mosaic coffee tables, either made with inlays of slices of wood with alternating patterned shades, or ceramic-tile based table top surfaces, has become prohibitive. One may still purchase machine manufactured tables like this, with a less pleasing effect, or one could import such furniture from places like Pakistan and India at great expense. Once again real masterpieces in need of a little attention can be sourced at second-hand stores and the like, rewarding industrious home-improvement enthusiasts with coffee tables of outstanding quality and appeal.

Recognising the facts about sizes, shapes and materials of a dining table
A dining table is a centre of attraction of a dining room. It is not only a place to have food, but also a place where you sit with your family and have a talk with them about your day. A dining table is a very important piece of furniture which also adds extra style to your dining room. There are countless dining tables available online, such as microfibre, glass, and wooden dining tables. A dining table can bring life to learn more your dining room. You can also make unique additions to a dining table for styling it.
Every room in the house holds a prominent place and have a distinctly different purpose. A dining room is an integral part of a house. It is a place where all the members of a family gather together to have a meal. A dining room without a dining table is incomplete. Dining tables do not only bring people together for meals but also in timeless and never ending conversations. It is also a symbol of prosperity and wealth. As a matter of fact, a dining table can tell a lot about the family as different colours, shapes, sizes, reflect the personalities of the people living in the house. Earlier, in Chinese culture, the size of the table was directly proportional to the number of members a person is able to feed. This reflected the wealth of the individual. But now, there is no such thing left. Shapes, sizes and materials all have a significant importance in a dining table.
· Size: Size of the dining table should be apt to accommodate your family members and friends. A lot of tables can be extended when needed, make sure you also buy extra chairs with that as well. Buying a perfect dining table is a long term investment, and since you will be using it for a long period, you must choose the size wisely. Also, don't forget to take measurements of the place you want the table to be kept. Make sure, the table is not too big for your room, and leaves no space to move around. A dining table should be placed 50'' away from the wall so that it has ample of space to move chairs and sit comfortably. The size of the dining table also depends on the number of members who intend to use it on a regular basis. There are various options available such as 3 seater, 4 seater, 6 seater and so one. One must choose according to their need.
· Shape: Decide on what shape you want for your dining table. Round, Square, Rectangle and Oval are the most common shapes that are available in dining tables. Round and square tables are great for smaller spaces. They fit well in the room and makes a room look bigger. It works great for having conversations as everyone is at the equal distance. Round and square tables have similar features and offer same convenience while having a conversation. Rectangle and oval shaped tables offer plenty of seating, as they are larger in size. Rectangular tables also work well with narrow spaces. They are preferred by people having larger spaces and a big family.
· Materials: Dining tables come in different materials such as solid wood, reclaimed wood, glass, marble, and medium density fibre. Each type has its pros and cons. Most of the dining tables are either constructed with steel, hardwood or aluminium. The material used in the structure of the tables decides how long it will last. Solid wood has a smoother surface with very fewer imperfections, but they also require proper care and maintenance. They need to be prevented from water marks and scratches. Hardwoods give a warm and earthy look to your dining room. Glass and marbles can be heavy and expensive. However micro density fibre is more affordable.

Luxury Home Décor is getting compared with the coffee tables online
Just to make memories with your family, friends, or family members and drink the hot beverages sip by sip, the coffee table is the best idea. This is just the low table which is customarily placed in front of your sofa. A refectory table is used just to hold your drink, keep your remote, reading material, or any book, or you can also keep your feet and get relaxed. The refectory table should be there in every room of the house and you should also select your table according to the interior of your particular room.
Refectory tables are those furniture pieces that unify your living room or the place where it is kept. If the person wanted to find the best refectory table then it is not that much easy. There are a thousand types of tables, different shapes, sizes, and materials and also, and they do function differently. Sometimes the designs of the refectory table confuse us but, in the end, you can still take time and eventually find the perfect table according to the space and area. People get confused that the centre table and coffee table are the same, yes, ultimately, the size and height of the tables should be the same too sometimes. Refectory tables are sometimes shorter than centre tables.
You must be thinking about buying this interesting refectory table, so before buying let me tell you some of the types of this table. Some of the types are traditional refectory table, modernistic refectory table, rustic, coastal, industrial, vintage, ottoman, stacking, folding, and low-platform. Now the material from which these refectory tables are made are wood, metal, glass, rattan, acrylic, leather, marble, concrete, and pallet. This is one of the most necessary furniture pieces which completes the overall look of the room as this table draws all the items together and it is also a great way to fill up space.
If you don’t have time to visit various shops and select your best refectory table, then don’t worry you can immediately buy a coffee table online as buying things online is the trend going on now. You also should select the size of the table as these tables come in all sorts of heights, but you should always select the height of the refectory table pretty close to the height of your sofa. It should be approximately 12 to 24 inches tall. If you buy coffee tables online, then you can also get great discounts without visiting stores.
Also, for making your house look luxurious by selecting the luxury home décor, you should always choose your interior according to the theme or interior of the house. Refectory tables are usually kept short because you can easily see things over the table. This is particularly important if the person has a very large group of people gathered together. Many things can be stored on the coffee table. Some of them are books, pillows, and many other things.
Choosing the luxury home décor, it will make your house look more elegant, aesthetic, and wonderful. If you are not comfortable buying the refectory table, then you can also choose many other furniture pieces like keeping the group of accent tables, two small ottomans instead, you can also keep the cocktail height table, and there are many other items to display too. If tired, you can also upgrade or design your coffee table again. You can apply several thin coats of spray paint just to the base of the refectory table. People can also paint the top surface of the table with white paint and let it dry for 24 hours.

I woke up to my alarm tellin me to get out of bed and so naturally I checked your tumblr and I'm,,, concerned
There's a small anon war over what hoodie smells like and I have no sense of smell whatsoever so I'm not contributin, but, leafs.
Petition to change the plural of leaf to leafs instead of leaves. Leaves is an ugly ass word. Leafs just rolls of the tongue, its nicer, its what the people want
Also the same with sheep like what, why is the plural the same, I refer to them as sheeps cuz it makes me happy
Also I don't like the y/n either because "y/n" is usually a whole ass person all in itself. And they're usually a girl in most fanfic, along with the fact that they are the Mariest Sue That Ever Mary Sue'd.
I've been considerin why LJ is my favourite and I think it's purely because if any of the more sane (Masky, Toby, Slenderman, etc) took one fuckin GLANCE they would run away. I have hope that clown boy is too far gone to care about my mental state too much.
If you squint real hard my braincell count looks like a normal amount
I'm so exhausted I'm gonna talk to you, my favourite online human, because the blue light from my phone keeps me awake.
But I think my favourite dynamic ever is Rivals to Lovers™. Not enemies to lovers, cuz enemies have two different goals in mind; whereas rivals compete for the same thing.
I'm a sucker for medieval shit so,, a scene that's been annoying me all day is~
you're invited to a Royal Ball (because isn't that how all romances start these days, just roll with it brother) and you go, finding out it's a masquerade ball. You get there, you dance, being passed from person to person in a never ending loop of jewel-embeded skirts that were swept across the marble floor of the (obscenely) bedazzled castle, and suits that seemed more expensive than you were.
Regret never came because the wine chased it away; it flowed in waterfalls into your glass, the scent of it filling the room but not enough to drown out the everlasting smell of expensive perfume. Sometimes the odor of it clung to the women of the ball tighter than their corsets. The massive drapes were pulled back, latching to the wall in attempt to keep them from falling and blocking the view–of which captured your gaze immediately. The doors were swung open to let the air in, and ensuring that no glass got in the way of what lay beyond; the moon, full and impossibly heavy hung, stranded in the crisp night air. The moon was the only one that didn't judge the events that took place in the ballroom that night, the only thing watching the crowd of people with a pure, impassive gaze.
Because later that night, after multiple drinks had been passed around and a cacophony of laughter, dancing, and food had been consumed–after many glasses of wine had passed your lips and your body– of which was feeling tingly and impishly confident–had wandered to a far corner, darkened by the domed ceiling, seemingly on its own accord. In that moment you would give everything to stay in the Palace, to twirl until your feet blistered and you withered away into old gnarled bones and ashes that could still dance with the wind.
"I do hope that you know well what you wish for; not for clarity of the concept, my dear, but for clarity of consequence." The voice that spoke in your ear was deep, low, and held even darker undertones. It siezed your attention and captured it in both hands, strangling the curiosity out of you. It had come from your right, even further into the pitch-black corner, but as soon as you moved all the thoughts in your head sloshed about, banging against the interior of your head. It was either equivelant to that or a sledge hammer, one of the two. The wine was probably just twisting the voice's around you, making them appear. You tried to convince yourself but alas, even you deemed it vastly unlikely.
Turning around was more difficult then you planned. Just when you thought you would see the owner of the voice, nobody was there. Yep, probably just the abundance of alcohol making you dizzy.
Shifting back to dancing wasn't hard; it was as if you were floating down along a stream, merely following wherever the river took you. Voices pressed against you on all sides, soon becoming a background noise too, a faint buzzing sound. It rose and fell like the waves, ever-changing in volume.
You started to lose a grip on reality; eyes fluttering closed as you danced, just taking a breath of air, letting the delicate night wash away your worries, who you wer–
What the fuck!?
You did a double take, eyes now wide fucking open, because outside you spied someone that had to be atleast a foot taller than anyone else in the ball. The darkness seemed to congregate behind it, flourishing, and the only thing you could see was a wide smile and a pair of eyes.
It seemed that you couldn't get enough air into your lungs, couldn't focus; the voice's that used to be hazy surround sound was now piercingly loud the people were just too much, everywhere at once. Your breathing only picked up even more as you gripped your chest.
The.. Demon had disappeared by the time you glanced upward, you you scurried outside, barely making it before you collapsed on a golden railing. There were fine drops of rain scattered about, eluding to the fact it had rained earlier. Your masquerade costume was getting wet, leaning against the railing, but you were so dizzy you didn't care.
It was the wine, it had to be. Nobody could be that tall, it–it was humanly impossible. Moving was now akin to attempting to romp through thick syrup; a stagnant pace, uncoordinated, unsteady. Then it stopped. There was a hand on your shoulder.
You skimmed the person; they had a dark blue suit that sparkled with the occasional gold highlights, with a blue mask covering their face–it seemed that it covered all of their face, and didn't quite match what a masquarade mask should look like, but you didn't care. The support was welcomed.
"You seemed as if you required help, my Lady," He said, his voice deep and low, so much so that you questioned if you would even be able to hear him over the music blaring in the ballroom if the two of you were to venture back inside.
You looked back to where you saw the tall being, with its eyes and smile that seemed wrong, and wrong in a terrible, dangerous way.
"Care to dance with me?" You asked, relieved when he slipped his arm with yours and led you inside. The music had slowed to a waltz, nothing like the big parade of dancers that came in flurries of colour and left just as fast. His arms were solid and a comfort, welcome as the breeze on a sunny day. It felt like he protected you from everything that might have caught you off guard, in a way. Plus, he kept you from falling flat on my face, which is always a good thing.
The song changed and you were about to ask him for something else; his name, maybe, but fate had other plans. Both of you were bumped and somebody else had picked you up in their arms, hands landing on your waist as the dance consumed you. Your mystery man in blue was gone, it seemed, and you sighed. Being safe was a hard thing to ask. Instead, above you now was a man dressed in dark browns and yellows– he had a rather strange mask that curled around his mouth and eyes, leaving the centre free. His brown locks looked ruffled and messy and he jerked every once in a while, moving sporadically. It didn't stop and he didn't seem to be able to control it so you didn't mind. The slight jolts emitting from him caused you to wake up more, which was always welcome.
"Are you okay?" You asked, after his gaze had wandered elsewhere. It came back to you in a heartbeat, and you sensed be was smiling under the mask.
He twirled you, spinning you gracefully. "Of course I am," he said, coming in close again. "For now, I'm winning."
The night surged on quickly and you found yourself caught between multiple strangle figures; a woman with silky black hair and a mask that made her eyes appear the same colour, that offered you a drink that wasn't wine. A man that had offered you wine, that stood next to the big buffet table with a full glass and a white mask. He had stood with a black-masked man, but he weaved through the crowd until he was another string in a pile of wool. Your blue mystery man made another appearance, but not with you–he was talking in low tones with another man (you didn't mind that they were mostly men; seemingly just because it never occurred to you that they might be connected) who had black hair, like the other woman, and pale white skin. The palest you'd seen in a long time. However, at that moment, he had looked up and seen you staring, only for you to catch scars at the ends of his mouth. You crossed it down to makeup or a deformity of some kind. Through all this, you were atleast grateful you didn't see the tall being again.
And everything carried on. Until it didn't. Blood stained the carpet black and the screams were too loud to ever fade away, seeming to shake the walls. You had tried to run from it, from them, but you tripled in a hallway and couldn't even get up because of your many glasses of alcohol. Struggling was futile and someone easily pulled you back.
With horror you realised it was one of the men from before; you recognised the scruffy brown hair and occasional movements. He held you there, between life and death a moment more, a moment where all the men you'd seen that night, and the woman, came around the corner. Their voices were distorted to your damaged ears but your eyes focused on the tall being; he was real, and black and white, with hands that weren't normal and a nose that was even less so. They're all abnormal, your consciousness whispered to you, and you believed it. The man on top of you grinned, happy that he had caught you. Your stomach turned.
"Bring them to the Mansion," a voice ring out in your head. Your 'companions' seemed to hear it too. "And bring them alive."
As you can see I've never written anythin in my life so this is shit lmfao but I don't care an im just here to brainstorm anyways
Have my little scene, take it, because it was fun to do. It's not spellchecked, I've not read through it, because I can't be bothered, so if anythin is wrong laugh and move on brother. Also tryin to write without cuttin off the g from my words and shortenin them was so hard so halfway through I didn't bother lmao
I think this is my longest message yet so, sorry about that Red
Cheers if you actually made it this far.
–Kieran.
I agree. Leafs is better. SHEEPS- thats the cutest thing I’ve ever heard and I love it.
Y/n is a stereotype in itself so I agree, it’s usually ya know, the whole “im different” kind of chick who can do everything and anything (basically bella from twilight), when in reality the reader is human and humans have imperfections. Lots of ‘m …LJ is my fav for a lot of reasons, at this point he’s a comfort to me. Plus, I (oml) relate to him so much, and I can do a post about this- if someone cares or asks. And I have similar traumaaa
Oh geez, I’m your favorite online human, AGH my heart, again, its burning. I agree, RIVALS TO LOVERS SOUNDS SO SOSOSOOSO GOOD I LOVE IT. (I would say my fav trope is “lovers who ache to be together but due to circumstance one starts to lose feeling for the other and it’s an agonizing pain to the other” or maybe that’s just me because I find completion in sadness, which is horrific. But I really itch to angst.)
Here’s me reading your scene and also talking about it at the same time. ‘Regret never came because the wine chased it away’…that’s a good line, thats a good line. The way you just take one thing and mash it with another aspect like wow. Like as each idea were droplets of water on a leafs and you happen to tilt it, connecting them so effortlessly. I’m jealous. The descriptions are amazing, and how you make it the reader’s thought process-damn. I WANNA WRITE THIS GOOD, YALL OUTSHINE ME. And then you say this was shit. *slaps you* DONT YOU DARE UNDESESTIMATE YOURSELF MISTER
Also the way you just subconsciously cut off the g’s is spectacular. I try to, but it’s hard for me. SORRY? SORRY?! Nononono thank you, because the longer the message the better. Apart from the fact that long messages make me happy, especially from you, it means you put time into talking to me! Which makes me super happy too. Heheheh. Thank you love! This made my morning, along with that drawing submission from cam anon, you should check it out! It’s really good.

The Siren P2
REAL LIFE HORROR COUPLE: TBS X READER RATING: FLIRTY AF
Tumblr media
I drove following the directions my phone told me driving down this long curving road beside the sea so many little houses and buildings lined the way between the road and the ocean. The sounds of seagulls and fairground rides breaking through the sounds of the radio playing something I didn't know. The sweet smell of sea air and chips, I drove on following the directions seeming to leave the world behind me going further and further from the busy town down these kong winding roads. Even the little houses stopped now I could see the crisp blue sea down a long drop to the ocean many broken railings were no doubt people had lost control and ended up going to the bottom. I took a turn and I saw it.
Tall, striking sat beside a beautiful cove of crystal blue water and golden sand, the sky a muted grey, the old bricks without a flaw, large victorian windows with purple drapes behind them, a fountain at the front that the road went around with little water coming from it and an old carefully preserved mermaid statue in the centre seat on a rock brushing her hair. The sign on the twisted gate confirming I was in the right place 'The Siren's Bay' hotel, restaurant, and bar. With a smaller sign on the gate
'All non-hotel guests must be off site by 10'
That seems fair. I pulled my car up and saw a car park to the right so i parked up grabbing my stuff and walking over by az soon as I took a step on the marble I jumped seeing a man stood there he was old, a little withered in a pair of black suit pants a red button-down and some black suspenders, he had a bushy beard not too unlike Santa but with tones of grey
"Good afternoon," he said welcomingly
"Good afternoon. I uhh in ti-"
"We know. We've been expected you" he smiled “Come I’ll have someone tend to your things,” He said
“Okay” I nodded a little unsure this felt weird, I swear some kinda Stephen king shit kicks up I am fucking out of here. I followed him up the steps and through the wooden door to a rather nice little reception room with checkerboard stone floors and tall fictional features, the desk central in the room in front of a large staircase to the left was a doorway to a large bar and restaurant with views of the cove and to the right a glass door out to a terrace that overlooked the gardens even if they seemed a little worse for wear then in the pictures online
“We’re a little down at the moment out of the high season you see” He said
“Oh yeah, of course “I nodded going over to the desk with him and he did a little paperwork and handed over a key
“Feel free to use al our facilities during your stay, you’ll be up in room Thirteen” He said “If you can just sign?”
I nodded and signed on the paperwork taking my key “Thanks”
“Go on up, and I’ll have things taken to your room”
“Thanks very much” I nodded heading up the stairs.
I got to my door and unlocked it revealing a very nice room it was large and open with a small area for the fridge And some counter space, a beautiful for post bed with blue curtains some sheer and some less so, beautiful blue and white covers on the bed with so many pillows you could build a fort. A very vintage and stylish bathroom to the side with a bath and seperate shower
There was a lovely old sofa that looked out the large glass doors out to the balcony, I opened the doors pushing back the blue and white curtains and walking out onto the lovely balcony looking out across the sand and sea of the cove nowone down there and honestly it was a little chilly but this Tome of year I don't know what I expected. Soon enough the man from the front brought my things up I thanked him and began to unpack hanging my shirts on the little wardrobe and such as I was to be here a while once I had put everything where it needed to be I smiled and jumped on my bed getting cosy with all the soft covers.
I had myself a nice warm bath and got dressed I'm on holiday perfect Tome to dress up a little for dinner I got my dark blue suit pants on and my light blue button down on doing my hair a little before heading down to the restaurant it was actually fairly busy clearly a lot of local people come up for the evening there was a older woman at the bar washing a glass of I had to guess I'd have sad she was the wife of the guy I met this morning, I took a seat at the bar as that was all there was and she smiled at me "room thirteen?" She asks
"Yeah that's me" I nodded showing my key a moment as I still had it in my hand from locking my door
"Not many in the hotel itself. Most just come up for dinner" she says "I can do you a drink while you wait for a table?"
"Sure" I nodded going for my wallet but she laughed
"No charge sir, part of you staying you see" she says
"Okay. I'll uhh have a cider then" I smiled she did me the drink and I sat sipping It looking out at the beautiful ocean I noticed someone at the bar he seemed off. Sat looking at his drink and nothing else his glass in his hand inna vice like grip, he seemed old, tried, nervous. I made a note of him and continued to look around the very nice room when suddenly there was noise people where applauding I looked around a little confused why before I noticed at the edge of the restaurant by the windows was a raised area and there now stood a woman.
I was for a moment taken aback by her. She was… beautiful.
She stood there in a long blue dress with white petticoats peeking out from the skirt, a white belt on her waist, she had silver bracelets and a necklace with a blue crystal hung from her neck, a white headband in her purple curled hair, she had perfect make up with a bright red lipstick, and eye shadow that made looked like waves apon the sea, natural looking lashes and a glow on her cheeks that sparkled purple and blue she had quiet wide hips and rather voluminous breasts she smiled doing a little curtsy as she stood there setting a microphone up I smiled widely just watching her I don't know why but she made me feel so happy, so peaceful and relaxed music began and she began to sing, it was gentle, slow, sultry and perfect like an old lounge singer designed to make you smile and maybe dance to her songs, but I couldn't help watching her it was like the world went dark and only her and I existed as she sang, like she was singing only for me and it was heavenly.
Once it was over I felt strange, I felt empty like I'd been thrown back to reality and I didn't really want to leave everyone applauded her I did too and she went off somewhere else many getting up to leave now the song was over so I got my table for dinner sitting by the window with my cider looking over the menu as the place cleared out only one old couple in the corner and that weird guy at the bar still here
"Would you mind if I joined you?" A voice asked I looked up and saw that woman again now with a glass of rosé in her hand
"Ohh no not at all, I'd be delighted" I said offering her the other chair at my table she smiled and took it "your song was beautiful"
"Thank you" she smiled "I've not seen you before"
"No I uhh staying here for a holiday only came down this morning"
"I see. How do you like it so far?"
"It's amazing. In really waiting for someone to pull the rug out from under me it all feels too good"
"Well it's a nice place, I'm sure they'll be something somewhere" she smiled
We both ordered another drink and some food getting a sharing thing between us
"So, do you live around here?"
"I do. In the hotel"
"I see. You work here then?"
"As a cleaner. sometimes singing"
"I see well your song was beautiful I've never heard anyone like you"
"Thank you" she blushed her hand gently stroking the top of mine. I blushed a little so not use to having anyone… flirt with me well other than kelly at work but not like this. I couldn't deny I was interested in her she was beautiful and I couldn't stop looking at her breasts our food and drinks came and we spoke for a good while about the area, the hotel, the food.
"Sorry I uhh I don't even know your name"
"Y/n." She smiled
"Y/n? That's a very beautiful name" I smiled "Tom. Or Thomas. Either"
"Tommy" she giggled
"Okay"
"Okay?"
"usual Don't allow that one" I told her
"Ohh sorry I'll-"
"But. I'll let you" I smiled giving her a little wink
"That's sweet of you" she smiled stroking her foot up my leg a little I smirked and did it back too stroking my foot on her ankle and a little up her leg as we finished our food and our drinks
"So you have another song to sing?"
"No just one tonight, nothing left to do likely just go back to my room"
"Yeah me too."
"I could always. Come and keep you company?"
"Company? In my roo- oh."
She shrugged and smiled at me
"Yeah sure I uhh I'd love some company"
"Which room?"
"I'm room thirteen"
"I'll see you later then" she smiled getting up giving my head a kiss and heading out into the hotel as soon as I knew she was gone I pretty much bolted up to my room...

Part 2 Part 4
Part 3
In less than ten minutes, we had pulled up to Liam's house. Liam paid for the taxi too. I kind of argued this time, but he pointed out he asked me to his house. I didn't get too stubborn about it.
Liam was living in a four-story terrace house, recently renovated by the looks of it. It was painted white with black wrought iron lacework, and it was beautiful. The front door and windows were painted black. It appeared to be the twin of the house that shared its wall.
We entered through the dining room, and I realised it was actually the two houses renovated together. The inside was modern with original heritage touches. The floors were light timber, and the walls were white. The ceilings had plaster and cornice so beautifully ornate that restoration must have taken ages. The room had an imposing black marble fireplace and a deep brown, almost black wooden dining table set on a grey shag rug in the room's centre. A huge abstract painting of bright pinks, greens and grey hung on the wall.
"Wow, this must have cost a mint!" I quickly covered my mouth. "I'm sorry, that was rude of me."
"It's ok. I was pleasantly surprised by the house too. The studio got the house for me I...." Liam was interrupted by a massive dog bounding into the room.
Liam got down and roughhoused with the dog for a bit. Wow, he was a monster! I'd seen a picture of Cole before that "Will" had sent me, but I wasn't quite prepared for how big he was. He was almost completely black with some brown above his eyes and ears. His paws were brown too, and his belly was grey. He wasn't any particular breed, apparently a rescue dog. I thought of my bull terrier cross cattle dog at home. This dog would eat him for breakfast, and Perrin wasn't small.
Cole's pink tongue lolled, and he panted as Liam moved from side to side. Cole imitated Liam's actions jumping about. He barked a couple of times as he got excited by the play. The noise reverberated through the quiet house.
"Shhh, Cole, people are sleeping." Liam softly admonished. Then his voice became stern. "Sit," he ordered before patting him. Liam looked at me and said, "Lana, this is Cole. Cole, Lana."
"Hi, Cole. You're much bigger in person." I could hear the slight tremor in my voice. Liam must have sensed I was nervous and came over to stand near me. Cole padded over and sniffed at me. Gingerly, I put my hand by my side and let him approach me. Cole nuzzled my hand, and I gave him a pat on the side of his neck. I let out a sigh of relief.
"I was worried he wouldn't like me. I love dogs but always get nervous around new ones." Liam put his head to the side, asking a silent question. "I had a dingo go me one time, and I've never really gotten over it." I squatted down and gave Cole more pats. "I think this guy is ok, though."
"Yeah, he's a good boy. How is Perrin, by the way?"
"He's ok." I sighed, "he's just old. The poor little guy can't get onto my bed anymore and sleeps in my lounge room now. I kinda miss it, but I have slept a bit better."
Liam gave Cole some more pats and told him to go sit. "Come on. I'll make you a tea or coffee if you'd like." I agreed a coffee would be perfect right now. I needed something to sober me up.
I sat at the kitchen bench while Liam made coffees. Cole sat by my stool, and I patted his head while watching Liam. Liam had kicked off his shoes and was walking around in his bare feet. It was amazing to see him so much more relaxed here than while we were out. He really did appear to enjoy being at home.
As Liam made our coffee, he moved with a grace that surprised me. His movements seemed economical and rigid but hinted at the power beneath them. He seemed coiled and ready to explode at any moment. It was like he was dancing the pasodoble, his body moving to an invisible beat. Images of Strictly Ballroom came into my mind, and I found myself humming Love is in the Air. I was drunker than I thought.
When Liam was done, he led me over to his large L shaped lounge, and I sat. Liam flopped down next to me, casually laying back and popped his feet up on the coffee table. Cole sat on a mat that was clearly his.
I sipped my coffee, not knowing what else to do. Suddenly the quiet between Liam and I felt awkward.
Liam and I spoke at the same time, "What.." "So..."
We both laughed. Liam indicated I should proceed. "Well, I was going to ask what brought you out to Sydney, for real, not the Will answer."
"A new project. I'm going to be filming a television show." Liam proceeded to tell me about his project, working with some people from Netflix on a fantasy/sci-fi series adaptation. He was so animated when telling me that it was obvious that he loved his job.
It would be his first television series and was to be more romance heavy than anything he had done in years. Liam explained that he is filming here because the story was written and developed in Australia. "If it works out, I'll probably be based out of Australia for the next few years. I'll go home to England for a few months during breaks, maybe do some small film roles. It's hard with Cole, though, because every trip into Australia means 10 days quarantine for him."
"Oh yeah, and you don't want a Pistol and Boo situation." Liam looked confused, and I explained about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp smuggling their dogs into Australia.
"I thought you said you don't follow celebrity gossip."
"I don't, but that was big news, hilarious really. It was on every bit of media in Australia, and then they had to make this cringe video apology. I almost felt bad for them." Then I yawned, suddenly all the alcohol had lost its buzz, and I was just tired. "The coffee doesn't seem to be doing its job. What time is it?"
Liam looked at his watch, "11.30."
"Yeah, it's late. I should get home. I don't want to turn into a pumpkin." I cringed. Fuck.
"You don't have to go. You could stay here." I raised my eyebrows. "I do have more than one bed if that's what you want." Liam leaned over to me and placed a hand on my cheek, rubbing his thumb against my skin.
I looked at my nearly empty coffee mug. I swirled the dregs around the bottom as if it were tea leaves, and they would tell me what to do. "I don't want to go home yet, but I don't want to go too fast, either."
"That's ok."
I didn't move. I wanted to stay. Ten years ago, I would have stayed, but Andy's face flashed into my thoughts. I knew it was ridiculous. Andy had been gone for over three years now. But every time I even contemplated being with someone, I couldn't stop thinking about him.
Liam was waiting for an answer, but I didn't know what to tell him. 'It's not you, it's me' is such a tired cliche, but sometimes it's true.
"Lana, it's ok. If you want to go home, that's absolutely fine. I'll even call you an Uber."
I felt my eyes sting, and I looked away from Liam. My bloody traitorous tear ducts giving me away. I shouldn't have drunk so much. Alcohol always makes me emotional.
"Fuck." I swore under my breath. I angrily wiped at my eyes, thankful I had used waterproof mascara. My eyeliner was a different story, though, and black streaked my fingers. I asked Liam where his bathroom was, and I got up, only half listening to his directions. I found it quickly. It was only through the doorway into a little enclave with a powder room, stairs and a lift. What kind of bloody house has a lift?
I closed the door and sat on the toilet seat. I knew enough not to try to stop the tears, so I just let them go. Bloody hell, Andy. Why did he fucking have to leave me? Why the fuck did you have to fucking die. Goddammit. Why do I do this to myself? Why do I do this to Andy? I wanted to scream, to punch something, to throw something. I needed another cigarette. Fuck you, Andy. Fuck you. Fuck me. Fuck Liam.
As I always did when I thought of Andy, I remembered the last time I saw him. His sweet face looked down at me as he kissed me goodbye. His deep brown hair fell like a curtain around us, hiding our kiss from the world. Cheekily I had slipped my tongue into his mouth, and he had groaned as he pulled away. He told me to save it for when he got back and would be as quick as he could be. I had thanked him for filling in for me. He winked and said to thank him later. Then he left.
When I was able to, I started to take deep breaths. In through my nose, out through my mouth. I could feel the tightness in my chest slowly ease. Breathing became more comfortable, and the tears stopped. I looked at my hands, and I was able to release the fists I was making. My nails hadn't broken the skin this time, but small red crescents remained etched into my palms.
I waited a few minutes longer to make sure the moment had passed. It wasn't Andy's fault he died, and I knew that. It's also not my fault that I wanted someone to love again. Sleeping with someone other than Andy felt like crossing the Rubicon, no going back.
The fact was there is no going back, no Andy to go back to, even if I wanted. In my head, it still felt like a betrayal. But it wasn't. And Liam wasn't just anybody. He was a guy I had spent weeks talking to, getting to know, and although he looks different, he is still acting as I had expected. I saw a potential future here. Did I really want to let my past ruin it?
I cleared my throat and stood up, preparing myself to see the horror that looked back at me. Ugh, it wasn't great. My eyeliner had given me panda eyes, and the tears had created streaks down my cheeks.
Getting a tissue and blew my nose, and decided there was nothing else for it, I washed my makeup off my face. I avoided washing my eye makeup off though, that was a mess I just didn't have the products for, so I just wiped under my eyes and cleaned it up. I binned my tissues, washed my hands, took a few more deep breaths and prepared myself to face Liam.
I opened the door and walked straight into something solid that made me bounce back into the bathroom like a tennis ball. Hands caught me before I hit the floor, and I found myself in Liam's arms.
"I'm sorry, did I hurt you?" He asked.
"No," I was flustered again. I spent all that time calming down to just be in a state two seconds later. "I just didn't expect you to be outside the door. Jesus, you're like a brick shit house."
Liam didn't laugh. "I was worried about you."
"I'm fine," I lied.
Liam didn't look convinced. He let me go and ran a hand through his hair. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not right now."
Liam nodded. "I'll get you that Uber." He pulled his phone out.
That's it then. All in all, it wasn't the worst date I'd been on since Andy died. Actually, it was probably the best. Liam, at least, was a guy I was attracted to and didn't appear to be a man child. He seemed to like me, even when I cried over another man. Although I doubt Liam knew that's why I was crying. I had told him I was married before and he had died, but that was only once and a long time ago, and we hadn't discussed it again.
The tears had done their job, and a calmness came over me now. I had said goodbye to Andy, and I was ready to take that last step to move on. That was why I started to date again; to open my heart, I was ready.
I put my hand on Liam's wrist, "if you still want me to, I'd like to stay."
"Are you sure? I probably shouldn't have asked in the first place. I let my other head think for me." Though I laughed at his candid admission, Liam's face was serious. "I'm not joking. I want you, and I didn't think about how you must be feeling. The whole fake profile thing must still be weighing on your mind. And all of the other problems that go along with being with me. You should have more time to think about it."
And my dead husband, let's not forget that. I didn't say that out loud, thank God. "I will have time to think about it. But right now, I want..." Shit. I've gone shy again. Just fucking tell him you want him too! "I mean, can't we just have a bit of a cuddle and a snog?"
Liam's lips twitched as he tried to suppress a smile, "a cuddle and a snog?"
I nodded.
Smiling, Liam put his phone back in his pocket. "I think I can arrange that."
Without further warning, Liam grabbed my wrists in one hand and pinned them to the wall above my head. His other hand snaked around my waist, holding me to him, his hips rolling into mine. His eyes were fierce and focused on mine. I  closed my eyes, the sensations too much, and my breath quickened.
I heard Liam say through gritted teeth, "It's taken everything I had not to do this to you since I saw you at the bar. I wanted to take you then and there." His voice seemed to ease, the words coming easier for him. "You don't know how much I've wanted to touch you. To know you are real." Then he whispered, "and you are. Real. You're as beautiful tonight as you were in your pictures."
I opened my eyes and found Liam staring at me, and his intensity was nearly frightening. He pulled me tighter against himself, his fingertips digging into me while he crushed me against his body. I felt his hardness against my hip, and I couldn't stop myself from rubbing against it. This time Liam closed his eyes, and I felt the rush of blood to my centre.
Liam opened his eyes, desire naked on his face, "Kiss me," he said.
I met his soft and warm lips. I felt Liam's groan rumble in his vast chest, and kissing him again, my lips scraped against his whiskers. Liam kissed me back now. His tongue pushed past my lips, and found mine. His tongue playfully danced in my mouth. Liam's hand left my arse and started to feel my hips, my waist and then my breasts. He cupped them and gently squeezed. My breath caught as his hand skimmed past my nipple. His palm created friction against the lace of my bra, and tingles radiated through my body.
His lips left mine and went to my neck. He kissed and sucked at me, moving down to the top of my breasts. I heard him take a deep breath into my chest as his cheeks rubbed against my skin. His kisses became harder against my chest and moved back up to my neck, his teeth nipping at me as he went. Even though he had me captured, I wriggled against him, my hips moved uncontrollably, my breath uneven and weak.
Liam pulled away, still firmly gripping one of my hands. "Come with me." Liam led me to the lift.
"Where are we going?"
"To my bedroom." I pulled against him, forcing him to stop. "Sweetheart, I promise I won't fuck you until you ask."
My legs turned to jelly. I wanted to fall to my knees and beg despite my reservations. I nodded and followed Liam into the lift.

Could I request a victor with 29 from that prompt list you posted? (29. “I like this bed sheet.” “It doesn’t matter for me, you take all of the blankets and mattress space anyway.”)
Here you go finally getting round to my backlog of requests, hope you like it :) PS: this was written whilst I was on holiday, and I hadn’t read chapter 11 yet, so I didn’t know MC was a restless sleeper, I modelled her after me (I don’t move around too much in my sleep)
Title: Blankets and Bedhogs
Pairing: Victor x MC
Words: 1092
“Come on Victor!” you singsongedas you dragged your husband by the hand into the department store in the NewLight Shopping Centre.
You had said to Victor a milliontimes that your bedroom needed some colour. You may have lost the battle of abrightly coloured rug, but you were determined not to lose this war, so you haddecided to drag Victor into a “commoner” store to pick up some brightlycoloured décor. The store itself was one of your favourites, being the storeyou had used to furnish your own apartment.
“Remind me again why wecouldn’t do all this online?” Victor asked resignedly.
You stopped abruptly, causing Victor to nearly step on the back of your feet, and spun around to faceVictor, wrenching your hand out of his and using it to poke him in the chest.
“I’ve told you Victor,it’s the experience, plus the colours you see in pictures doesn’t alwaysmatch the shade you see in real life.” You replied to your confused husband, adding extra emphasis on the word ‘experience’.
After your little tirade, you spun back around and stepped determinedly through the automatic doors ofthe store. You ran through in your head the items you needed to get, and theoverall aesthetic you were trying to achieve, when you felt a hand wrap aroundyour arm. Your glanced over your shoulder to see Victor, free hand under hischin and a slight blush present on the highpoints of his cheeks.
“Hand.” He demanded.
“I’m sorry what?”
“Well someone has to makesure you don’t get lost.”
“Victor I’m over 25!” yousaid stamping your foot.
“From that reaction, I’mnot so sure.” Victor teased.
“Can’t you just ask tohold my hand like a normal person?”
“I told you that’s not thereason.”
“Hold your own hand then.”You huffed, grabbing a trolley, and stomping into the light section.
You spent the next 15minutes, browsing through the store, picking up a few items that were eitherwhite marble, monochrome, silver, and a couple light blue and baby pink items. As this was a blend of both of your personal styles, with the white marbleacting as a base to blend the two styles together. You had nearly finishedwalking the store, endeavouring to be as quick as possible, as you know howVictor feels about crowds, when for the first time since you had stepped intothe store Victor decided to participate in the choosing of an item.
“Look at this.”
“Yes Victor, it’s a bedsheet, what about it?” you asked turning your head to look at him.
“I like this bed sheet.” Hesaid holding it in his two hands.
“Well it doesn’t reallymatter for me; you take all of the blankets and mattress space anyway.” Youshrugged.
Victor snorted indisagreement.
You laughed, “Victor you’resuch a bed hog. But I still love you.” You pressed a kiss to his cheek, at theend of the second sentence.
“I am not a “bed hog” orwhatever you call it.” Victor said.
You shook your head atVictor in amusement, and took the bedsheets set from his hands. Looking at ityou nodded proud that Victor despite his feigned nonchalance, he was payingattention to the aesthetic you were going for. You placed it in the cart andheaded to the till point with Victor in a comfortable silence, although you hada sneaking suspicion that Victor was still trying to formulate an argument forhis case.
You were rummaging in yourpurse for your wallet, to pay when Victor bumped you out of the way gently andpassed his card to the cashier.
“Don’t back up the queue, dummy.” He smirked down at you, as you pouted.
Victor grabbed the heavybags and let you only hold the lighter bags. You looked down at your feet witha slight blush on your face at Victor’s casual kindness towards you. Afterputting the cars in the car and getting in, both of you made your way home. After putting the stuff away you spun around and leaned back against thecounter with a teasing smile on your face.
“Okay Victor, I’ll callyour bluff, tonight watch what happens to the blankets.” You teased.
Victor paused in grabbinga mug from the cupboard, and side eyed you, as you laughed before bounding upto him and the two of you shared a sweet kiss.
-12am-
Victor sighed and closedthe cover of his laptop and sighed before looking at the clock. ‘Midnight.’You had gone to bed an hour earlier having had slightly less work to do thanhim. He pushed away from the table and stood up before making his way to thebedroom. He smiled fondly at the sight of your sleeping form, covered in theblanket, hand stretched out towards his side of the bed, as if reaching out forhim, a slight frown on your face. He walked over and put his hand over yours, you sighed in content and a smile painted itself of your lips. Victor pattedyour hand and whispered, “I’ll be back soon.”, before going to the bedroom toget ready for bed.
By the time 12:15 rolledaround, Victor climbed into the bed carefully as to not jostle you too much to wakeyou. He double checked that the blanket was shared equally between the two of you,as he didn’t believe he was a “bed hog” for a second. Once satisfied, he lay onhis back, and wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you close, legsentangled, and your head resting on his chest tucked under his chin. He thenmumbled a soft goodnight into your hair and kissed the crown of your head, before succumbing to sleep.
-3am-
Victor woke up a pullingsensation on the blanket, and he blinked his eyes open blearily. To hissurprise he saw his wife shivering and trying to pry a corner of the blanketfree from his blanket burrito he had wrapped himself into, with her balancingprecariously on the edge of the bed. He quickly detangled the blanket fromaround his limbs and drew you into the warmth under the blanket. He shivered atyour temperature and ran his hands over your back, pressing you close to him, trying to share his body heat.
“You’re freezing.” Hesaid.
You huffed sleepily andwrapped your cold arms around his neck.
“Does this mean I’mright?”
“Go to sleep, idiot.”

here take this au that @1captainjordan4 came up with and I decided to expand on because writing is hard but headcanons are great
Birdflash YouTube AU
Wally starts a challenge channel because he’s bored one day at Aunt Iris’ house. He borrows an old camcorder from her and plays a couple harmless pranks on Barry - because he’s like 15 and bored out of his mind
the channel gets a little bit of traction, and he had fun doing it, so Wally decides he’s just gonna film whenever he gets a weird whim. A lot of the videos are just him jumping off of high places and doing stupid things in public, but quite a few involve kinda crazy science experiments
Most of the comments on his videos are about how this kid is getting access to pretty dangerous chemicals, until one day he posts a video of him and Barry doing a particularly w i l d experiment together, because Barry had actually been present for every single video, he’s just camera shy
As Wally grows up, so does the channel, and now a lot of his videos are very ‘Jenna Marbles’-esque. Twice a week Wally will post a video with a title like “Making an Entire Outfit out of Hot Glue” and he just wears that shit around the house for a day with Barry and Iris facepalming in the background
Wally does a baking video with Iris one day and she’s instantly a hit with his subscribers, so Wally starts a Baking With Iris series on his vlogging channel, and almost every video ends with something catching on fire
He also starts a mini series called Iris Reacts that’s just Wally bringing up various political issues at random and filming Iris rant about them for Five Whole Minutes
Everyone Loves Iris West-Allen
His Youtuber friends include Artemis (fitness/rant channel), Megan (baking channel), and Hartley (music channel), and he does collabs with them sometimes
One day he posts a video titled “Teaching Myself To Do a Backflip”, and it’s just Wally following a tutorial video from Dick Grayson’s parkour/acrobatics channel. Of course he’s doing a shit job and falling on his face the whole time, and he only manages to do a half-decent hand stand by the end of it
Dick posts a reaction video in response to it, critiquing Wally’s form and joking around about how this guy might actually be able to do a backflip if he had a proper teacher
They start tweeting back and forth, joking about Dick being that teacher and doing a video together
Months go by and they finally meet at a convention. They instantly hit it off, goofing around and vlogging together the whole weekend. They do make that video, and Dick does get Wally to do a backflip without falling on his face. On Wally’s channel they do the Whisper Challenge, and as hilarious as it is, they’re surprisingly in sync.
After the con they become long distance best friends, and their friendship blows up online. Their subscriber counts cross over in a week. They become “BFF goals” and multiple blogs dedicate themselves to their friendship and every instance of them interacting online
Wally goes to visit Dick in Gotham for a week and All Hell Breaks Loose.
Wally’s shit-disturbing personality mixed with the “We Have Lots of Money, Are All Gymnasts, And Live With Zero Consequences” Wayne’s is cause for disaster
Most of the other Wayne kids have their own channels as well
Jason runs a book review channel, Tim runs a tech channel, and Cass runs a aesthetic vlogging channel centred around living mute and giving mini ASL tutorials
Damian just pops up occasionally ‘cause he’s too little to have his own channel.
Despite most of them having pretty chill channels, when they’re all together Shit Gets Wild and having Wally there doesn’t help
In the one week Wally spends in Gotham, they: break the bannister twice, dye Tim’s entire room pink, set the oven on fire (again), demolish three coffee tables, and somehow get into a Wayne Enterprises board meeting without anyone noticing
After a year of best friendship, Dick and Wally move to LA together (because all YouTubers do), their channels eventually blend together to the point where there is rarely a video on either channel that doesn’t have the other person in it
Within six months they finally release a video titled “We’re Dating!!” and literally no one is surprised
