I swear I’m going insane, I posted something to Reddit in hopes someone would remember this specific fanfic but no. Essentially, the books set in the golden trio era, but the reader (basically y/n) was the youngest black family sibling, I think the first scene was when y/n was a baby and sitting on a rug (with Regulus maybe?) since Walburga left y/n there alone for some reason? And I think y/n’s love interest was supposed to be Mattheo Riddle, or maybe a love triangle with Mattheo along with Draco? Can’t remember, and I’m pretty sure it was on Wattpad and I found it through tiktok if that’s important. I’m starting to think this was a dream, but I figure I’ll give it one last try if this rings a bell for anyone.

wanderers (Wolfstar drabble)

(no beta or really edits for this one dm me if you would be intrested in beating any of my work but other than that this was just a 1uick idea that poped into my head.)

The floor was cold as Sirius wandered down the hallways, the castle always seemed so much bigger during the late hours of the night. The stone walls echoed your thoughts back and the lights took them away leaving you only with the wandering thoughts of whatever got you out of bed at such an hour. 

His thoughts raced as he wandered, his hand tracing the walls and feeling the magic of the castle follow him. He would be sleeping at three in the morning had it been any other day of the year, but not today. Today he was shaking like a leaf in a thunderstorm trying to find a place to sit down. 

Rounding a corridor he knows nobody will come into at this time of night he sat down letting the cold soak through him and a chill run through his spine. He should have known the nightmares would come after a letter like that, or rather any that came from 12 Grimmauld place. Since he was young he knew what was coming when getting a letter from his relatives, he knew something new would be expressed disappointment in, and he knew he wouldn’t sleep well that night. 

His eyes burned as he closed them for the first time in hours. But instead of the soft darkness that he felt so many nights, he felt a harsh pain and the seared image of his mother coming towards him wand in hand, he was scared. He saw bright lights and the scarred face of Regulus from the corner of his eye, he remembers taking the pain so he wouldn’t have to see it inflicted on his baby brother. 

An hour passes Sirius is fully awake but at the same time not conscious at all, he stands up checking the time, and walking back to his dorm. Softly closing the door behind him he walks to his bed trying not to wake Remus from the bed beside his, but much to his dismay the lamp clicks on, and his curtain is drawn back slightly only enough to see the worried look on remus’ face.

“Come here” only two words but they mean more than Sirius could ever tell him. He has someone and Remus would never fail to remind him that he remembers that. 

Sirius crawled into bed next to him and let the warmth of his bed sorund him contrasting to the cold air that November so often held in the castle, this is where he belonged this is where he felt safest. This is where he knew he was safe.

So I got an idea from watching too many edits of grindelwald and shit (& maybe my love for Hogwarts) that this story has come about

So basically

Summary:

She’s the new girl, taken from Ilvermorny to Hogwarts to be under surveillance ordered by Dumbledore. She has shown to be quite the powerful witch and has a resembling personality of a very powerful dark wizard. She is befriended easily by Sirius Black at a party who is enjoying the chaotic nature she brings into the room for fun. What she doesn’t know is that Sirius is part of the Order of the Phoenix that are supposed to watch her every move and what they don’t know yet is that she became a problem enjoying drugs and alcohol to drive away the pain and loneliness. This is where I story will take off. A night where she gives in again and wakes up to an unexpected turn of events.

—LILY LET THE MARAUDERS LIVE IN HER FLAT DURING XMAS HOLIDAYS AS SHE STARTED DATING JAMES— AU

At first, Sirius didn’t see anything. The room was dark, the curtains we’re closed and the light of the street lamp couldn’t find it’s way in. But he could hear. He could hear sobbing, quiet, badly hidden sobbing.

“Lils? Are you- are you okay?” He said, his voice being thick as he fell asleep on the couch while watching football again.

Lily threw of the blanket, stared up at him, and quickly reached to the bedside table to turn a light on. “Yeah, I’m good.” She wiped her nose with the sleeve of her pink silk pajamas. “I just have these bad dreams sometimes you know…”

Sirius nodded, and looked at the other half of the king sized bed she was sitting on. It was neatly set- the blanket remained untouched, although hers was crumpled, the pillow was freshly fluffed, and blue pajamas were carefully folded on top of it. “James and Remus called from a muggle phone box. They should be here in, like, one hour and half?” The truth was that they could have been there already, if they used floo powder as always, but Lily insisted her father should take them in his car, so they could get to know each other, since they are both living in HIS flat.

Bullshit, Sirius thought. But as he saw the girl, always so sharp and confident, with teary eyes and shaky fingers, he smiled and said: “Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?”

She bit her lip. “Maybe, if you want of course, you could have a cup of tea with me?” She said, standing up from her comfy nest.

“Yeah, sure.”

He followed her into the kitchen. The whole flat was Lily’s parents, they wanted her to have a place of her own. Funny enough, there were five people living in it now.

She filled the ‘electric kettle’, a concept Sirius never truly understood, with water and took two mugs out of the cupboard.

“Peppermint or camomile?” She asked.

“Uhh… Peppermint.”

Lily chose camomile. As soon as the two of them were holding the steaming mugs in their hands, she looked much more relaxed and calm.

“So… Do you have these kind for bad dreams often?” Sirius asked to break the silence.

“Mostly when I’m at home. Or when I’m here, without… James.” She looked down at her cup.

Sirius nodded in compassion. “I used to have bad dreams, too. Before I went to Hogwarts and met Moony, and your father, and Peter.” He took a sip from his tea. “There was nothing I could do to help it. Sometimes I would lie awake, forcing my self not to sleep just so I didn’t have those terrible dreams.”

“Oh my… ” Lily whispered. “I’m- I’m so sorry about that, Padfoot.”

“It’s okay, it’s over now. I’m not coming back to that house ever again.” He stared out of the window, into the night streets of London. Lily looked up from her cup, too.

They were standing there, on the cold kitchen floor, staring into the distance and waiting for the people who saved them in every possible way.

The snow was falling slowly, when the door bell rang, and the two of them hurried to open.

           Sirius shoved his way to the front and saw her reaching for her bag. No. There was no way she would ever do that. Not to complete strangers- unless it was a Hufflepuff obligation to be kind.

        "Oh my god, she's giving him our cookies," he whispered in horror. Remus scrunched his eyebrows, craning his neck. He recoiled, jamming his elbow into Jame's stomach.

        "Ow," he grumbled.

       "It's my chocolate-chip ones," Moony said, panic etched on his face. The three shared a look. They all knew that no one touched Remus's cookies. Adara even made sure the house elves put in extra chocolate just for Moony.
