EarthSense Releases MappAir Nationwide Air Pollution Map Including PM2.5

EarthSense created the first ever high resolution nationwide map of air pollution, MappAir 2.0 which includes PM2.5 and nitrogen dioxide levels for the whole of the UK at 100 metre resolution. The mapping helps to identify the ultra-fine microscopic atmospheric pollutants that may get into the lungs causing health problems. The MappAir 2.0 uses satellite and traffic data considering the effect of topology in the Government’s Automatic Urban and Rural Network (AURN) & National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (NAEI) air quality datasets. EarthSense uses complex modelling techniques comprising air quality sensors, bespoke modelling and data derived, making it a new leader in air quality monitoring solutions and services.
