Chapitre 2 ⤵️

Si Yumeka pensait qu’elle pouvait cacher ce qui se passait à Mao, elle réussissait. Celui étant trop occupé avec le Conseil des Étudiants, le trésorier n’avait aucune idée de la situation. Du moins, il s’en doutait, mais connaissant celle-ci, elle ne l’avouera jamais.

L’une des rares fois où il n’avait rien pour l’empêcher de passer du temps avec Yumeka. Mais le problème, où pouvait-elle se cacher? Car n’étant pas capable de rester tranquille à la même place, cela compliquait la tâche d’Isara. 

L’étudiant se dirigea vers le lieux où elle serait sans faute. La salle de classe. Isara se dirigea vers leur classe. En arrivant, il ouvrit la porte et il pouvait voir Yumeka assise à son bureau entrain d’essuyer ses yeux violacé. Cela causa l’inquiétude de celui-ci et ne se fit pas prier de la rejoindre.

- Yume, qu’est-ce qu’il y a?

- Ça te r’garde pas..

Mao fronça les sourcis. Il n’était pas stupide, il la connaissait autant que Ritsu. Elle était un vrai livre ouvert. Il décida de l’affronter sur le sujet.

- Yumeka, je peux te protéger de ceux qui te font du m-

"Mao~ are we there yet? My feet are starting to hurt, and we've been walking for ages now!" Rumi groans as they slouch over.

"Almost, Ru, almost! Just a few more minutes, alright? I promise you!"

"You've said that five times over already...!"

"I... I mean it this time, I swear!" Mao stutters.

Another whine comes from the greenette.

Today, it was Mao's turn to pick an idea for a date between him and Rumi, and today was a surprise one, especially because today was the third year anniversary of the two being together. It made Mao happy knowing that he's been with his other half for a long while, and he hopes that he gets to cherish them more every day in the future. Without Rumi, he couldn't see a visioned future. Without Rumi, a future meant nothing to him.

"Okay, here we are! See~?" The two finally stop walking up the long and steep hill. No more were there sharp rocks digging into Rumi's feet and grass grazing at their legs as the two followed a dirt pathway upwards.

"Woah..." Rumi exhales softly. "It's so pretty up here!" They fasten their walk and move forward towards a white painted gazebo that sits at the top of the very hill. Down on the other side was an edge to a cliff that hung over the vast and wide ocean.

The sun shined all its glory down onto the salt water, creases of sparkles dance in the calm and smooth waves.

A gentle breeze swipes through the air, caressing Rumi and Mao as the two enter the gazebo at last. Mao places the bag that he had on his back onto one of the three benches, and watches softly as Rumi leaned over the fencing, their focus painted onto the ocean that sings beautifully in tune of the breeze.

"How did you find out about this place? It's so nice up here!" They turn to look over their left shoulder, twisting their body around a small bit to see Mao slowly walking up to their side.

"It's a bit of an odd story... I found out whilst I was hanging out with the rest of Trickstar. Subaru decided that it'd be... 'cool'... to let Daikichi off his lead, which, in short words, led all of us to looking for Daikichi when we were near the bottom of this hill after he ran off — we all split up to look for him. I decided to climb this hill and I found him taking a rest on these benches here!"

Rumi sweatdrops metaphorically at hearing Mao's story of reasons. "Subaru never learns with that puppy, huh..."

"Nope~" Mao laughs lightly.

"Either way," Rumi leans towards Mao's side, their head resting on his shoulder as they still balance themselves by keeping their hands gripped to the white top surface of the surrounded fencing, "it's still so beautiful. Thank you for this."

"Of course!" Mao twists around and plants a kiss to the top of Rumi's head, close to the crown area. "I'd do anything for you, because I love you...

Mao wraps one hand around Rumi's waist, bringing them ever so closer, comfortably into himself as the two faced forward and watched the calming ocean.

"...Happy three years, my love."

Maoru Headcanons~♡

When Mao isn't looking/in the bedroom with Rumi, Rumi likes to go into Mao's side of the wardrobe and steal a jacket or hooded jumper every now and then.

Neither of the two can actually cook all that well, so when it comes to food times they're either ordering in, making something cheap and simple, anything to dodge the stuff they fear of in the kitchen, the two always find a way.

Mao gets super clingy when he's expressionly tired. When he's with Rumi, all he wants to do is cuddle them until he falls asleep.

Mao is like a personal heater to Rumi, especially when their reynards play up. Even though there are professional solutions to help it, they prefer being warmed up by Mao, especially during the colder seasons!

One time when Rumi had to stay at the hospital for a few weeks due to a mental health problem, Mao went to some people he knew to create two personalised teddy bears that look like him and Rumi, and he gave them as a gift to them during one of the days he went visit Rumi.

Mao actually talks in his sleep, and it warms Rumi's heart every time they hear him mumble because all they can hear from him is about how much he loves Rumi.

Mao can play the guitar, but Rumi can also play the violin! So sometimes, when they're free, the two get together and make personal tunes together!

Adult!Mao and Adult!Rumi both own a one bedroom bungalow together, and they have two pets: a cockatiel bird and a ragdoll cat!

Mao's personal favourite thing about Rumi is their laugh, but he loves them overall either way.

Rumi's personal favourite thing about Mao is his eyes. Rumi isn't great at looking eye to eye with anybody, but when it comes to Mao, they feel at ease to do so. His eyes bring a sense of comfort and warmth like no other when they stare at Mao.

Mao and Rumi have matching phone cases for their own phones, which means that sometimes, in a rushed moment to get to work or some other place, the two will accidentally pick up each others phone and rush out of the door without looking back.

Mao gets distracted a lot at idol work/practice/hanging out with friends/etcetera because he's thinking about Rumi a lot.

The same can be said for Rumi, especially when they're drawing stuff up in their sketchbook and without noticing until a later time, they always draw stuff to do with Mao, even at times when they shouldn't be.

Their version of a movie night actually consists of watching a whole entire season of an anime for as long as possible until either or both of them have fallen asleep on the living room settee or in the bedroom, depending on where they're watching at that moment.

Rumi likes to steal Mao's manga a lot once he's finished with reading it.

Mao is very ticklish, and only Rumi knows the secret ticklish spots!

Mao can be jealous sometimes when others talk to Rumi, it more so depends on who and for how long than what about.

The two jokingly argue about who is shorter, and Rumi knows how to exactly win the "argument" every time: take away Mao's ramen privileges.

Mao tries his best to be flirty, but he isn't always the best at it. Which makes him embarrassed when he does try. But it's okay, Rumi loves what Mao says and supports that he keeps trying! They'd rather hear Mao's sort of flirting than the classic type!

Hugging and holding hands are the two's favourite versions of physical affection to one another. Although when Mao is feeling super confident, then he'll swoop down for a little kiss (they're really short, though).

Mao and Rumi, for fun, for conventions, any reason possible, will cosplay and match each other as much as they can! It's so much fun to do!

Rumi still gets nightmares, even after these few years, about Mao leaving them. Mao knows every way to comfort and remind them that he won't.

The two like to give each other post-it notes on their bags or lunch bags whenever it's either of their days to head to work! On the post-it notes are a message of positivity and love from one another!
