Select The Right Fruit Trees For Your Climate
Selecting the right fruit trees for your climate is an important step in deciding what to grow in your garden. Before heading to a nursery, do a little research to find out which fruit you like will be available in your growing region. You want to make sure you choose something that you will eat and enjoy! Noida Green Nursery has all types of fruit plants in Noida. They also have cheap fiber plant pots to grow plants in. I live in a hot climate. I can't speak with much authority about pears, apples, or stone fruits, but there are many varieties of fruit that can be grown in the tropics and subtropics. Let's look at a checklist of fruit tree qualifications.
Hardiness Zones: Hardiness zones starting with Zone 1 at the poles, where the minimum temperature average is below -50 °F [-45.5 °C], and move towards the equator to Zone 13, where the minimum temperature is 59 °C Fahrenheit [15°C].
Fruits for warm places: If you live in a warm-winter climate where temperatures don't drop below 20°F [-6.6°C], you can grow all citrus fruits and subtropical fruits, including avocados, figs, guavas, mulberries, canolas, olives, and pomegranates. Look for less-hardy varieties of stone fruits, apples, and blueberries.
Microclimates: Within those hardiness zones are pockets of microclimates—climates that differ from the region's registered norms. A house in a wooded valley may be in a specified hardiness zone, but in full sun, it may be colder and windier than its neighbours on a hill 100 yards [91 m] away. You even have microclimates in your own backyard!
Chill hours: "chill hours" are defined as the annual number of hours that the temperature is below 45°F [7.2°C] during a tree's dormant period. If you want to get more technical, some experts say that cold hours are measured in hours between 32 °F [0 °C] and 45 °F [7.2 °C]. It is also said to be 60 °F [15.5 °C] during the dormant period. °C] is subtracted from the total annual winter hours.
