ok genuine question. trigun subs or dubs

okay so usually i’m a subs truther but the dub really is very good. and that’s mostly thanks to some really clever little tricks and choices that result in some Banger Lines. the main draw imo is that vash is voiced by johnny yong bosch who has never not put his entire boschussy into a role. there are weak links though like the character wolfwood who is fucking annoying in the first place and made 10x more annoying in the dub

i’m a little worried i’m hyping this show a lot so be warned that It Is Fucking Dumb. i mean anime contrivances and sloppy tropes all over the place. imo the only Really interesting characters are vash and his adopted parents and they only appear for like, an episode. the parts of it that aren’t good are Really Not Good. but it’s fun and it’s beautiful and the score slaps and YOU know your girl loves a morally gray jesus christ allegory

everything luther has ever done is embarrassing, and he knows this, and everyone else knows this. he’s a furry, for example, and assigned everyone fursonas when they were twelve. it’s hard to pick out something remarkable. anyway that plant he kept on the moon was fake and he figured it out literally the day before he came back to earth.

diego has also only ever done embarrassing things but he’s touchier about it. he passed out while getting his nipple pierced. it’s like, not even especially embarrassing, and literally anyone could have guessed that would happen, but he’s taking the secret to his grave.

vanya canonically poured salt in her coffee which is, like, pretty dumb. she actually prefers salt in her coffee and was hoping leonard wouldn’t notice. she keeps salt packets in her pockets to put in her coffee. if five found out he would actually murder her so she doesn’t tell anyone.

i LOVE sleeping at last,,,, i first found him from his atlas series which is a bunch of songs about the planets which i really adore, saturn is probably the most famous but earth is the best in my onion

anyway a couple years ago he started coming out with songs for the enneagram, which is a personality test that fits you into one of nine personality types. i’m type five and i listened to the song and i LOVE it and then umbrella academy came out and i was like holy shit. five fits five. and i looked at all the other songs and they all fit each of the respective characters and i was like. holy shit.

so each of the character playlists ends with their respective sleeping at last song. and i think it’s amazing how well they fit, specifically luther’s, allison’s, five’s, and ben’s. and yeah looking at it again klaus’s fits so well omg... i’m just gonna pretend that was. on purpose.
