So in VSau the mycelium resistance are gonna be bad guys, BC they're being puppeted by the mushrooms controlled by someone(the Styx and skulk situation is uncomfortably familiar to Grian's experience)

The mother spore role gets handed about the small handful of infected, so the heroes can't catch and cure the most infectious of them. Grian happens to be the final one to hold this role, he's particularly good at not getting caught by the heroes. And very easy to be a scapegoat to blame for all of this

But don't worry about itttt :) Grian got caught and cured eventually don't worry about the trauma he sustained from this
