Rereading mirepoix since I don't remember when I left off, and I'm at "Sanji is sensitive about his knives" and got forceful flashbacks to the second chapter of Shokugeki no Sanji.

It's not the gayest shit I've seen in OP affiliate media (Deuce) but holy shit.

Speaking of chapter 2 (and 6), Shokugeki no Sanji has the fun thing where cooking anime are like: but this ingredient is hard to deal with because XYZ, except it's One Piece. So the eels explode and the sheep has body fat as hard as steel.

Fuck it I should read Shokugeki no Sanji too just cuz I love cooking and Sanji and being gay and you're making it sound like a good time. Idk why but I was under the impression that you had to read Shokugeki no Soma first to read the Sanji spinoffs and I haven't done that;;;

ok, onwards and upwards! a bunch of my favourite yaoi (I’ll try to put tws on them). when I can I’ll link an mmv so you can see the art and also because I’m always fanvideo trash. in no particular order: 

1. Caste Heaven (mmv HERE) ongoingtw: social hierarchy, bullying, humiliation, psychological manipulation, rape, abuse, sounding, pissing, needle play (piercing) you won’t find a single healthy relationship in here, and the art style is just wicked. it’s like the stanford prison experiment but yaoi-themed. the other projects of the mangaka are also GOOD SHIT, but this one in particular owns my ass   2. Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai (mmv HERE) ongoing[also prequels and side story: Tadayoedo Shizumazu Saredo Naki Mo Sezu, and Don’t Stay Gold]tw: yakuza, boss/servant, child abuse, rape, blood, impotence, masochism, unrequited love, for the side stories also scar kink, bullying yoneda kou needs to write a book or direct a movie or something because istfg the ANGST, the PAIN, the SADNESS, the HELPLESSNESS (of loneliness and love both) in all the stories. every story is always a squeeze to the heart and every character is so human it’s incredible. the art style is raw and direct, aimed to punch just right without fancy details that would distract you from the knife in your stomach. if I could pay a mangaka to draw tfc, I’d give all the money to yoneda kou. 3. Castle Mango (mmv HERE) completedtw: age gap with youngest being a minor, love hotel, porn business this story is just lovely tbh. if you don’t consider the age gap as something that can make this story “problematic” I’d put this in the recs for @girasoldelluvia because this yaoi is sweet and soft af. also generally sad, but with happy ending and just love all around. 4. Super Lovers (mmv HERE) ongoing tw: age gap, step siblings (aka incest bait xD), brother complex, pederasty  the difference between castle mango and this one is that in SL the love story begins way earlier than high school, and CM has the highschooler drawn not in a “oh look he’s clearly so young” way. in SL instead the youngest MC is consciously drawn in a way that emphasizes his age (as you’ll see already in the video). he’s growing up and it shows in the manga (kudos for the attention to details), but yeah, this is the kind of story that can easily make readers very uncomfortable. gorgeous art 5. Koisuru Boukun (mmv HERE) completed tw: tsundere so strong that it’s reluctant consent 98% of the times, homophobia, romanticized rape (as in: usual yaoi first times), accidental use of an aphrodisiac drug gorgeous art again. the other stories from the same mangaka are also very good and very beautiful to look at. this one is pretty long for a yaoi standard (which usually lasts no longer than 5 chapters), and it’s just really a classic of the genre. I find myself coming back to it time and time again as comfort read6. the Neko series by Sakyou Aya (X) completed tw: shapeshifters, explicit smut nice and hot stories, can’t say anything else xD 7. Kamisama No Ude No Naka (there’s no mmv ;__;) completed tw: i need to apologize in advance here because I don’t remember the exact content of each story, but there’s drug (rape through drugs), rape, big age gap (with young characters drawn really young and small), bullying, sadness all around, catholic private school so what stuck in my head from this collection of characters is the bullying/revenge story that was just pure unadulterated angst. loved it to bits.8. Yuuutsu Na Asa (mmv HERE) ongoing tw: rape, social hierarchy, age gap, nobility, master/servant this story is a masterpiece. so thick in plot, the characters so good, the angst so real, and I have a sweet spot for social classes and related issues in romantic stories, so this one is really a gem 9. Jackass! - Sawatte Ii tte Dare ga Itta yo? (no mmv ;__;) completed tw: stockings/legs fetish, student/school doctor story on the side a nice and pervy story with beautiful art, what’s not to like? can’t count how many times I’ve reread this one

fluff read for @girasoldelluviaI’m going with authors because you’ll find even more titles with them, and whenever I read their stories I just read everything they have :3 Junko Natsume IsakuYamamoto Kotetsuko (you might want to avoid the one about incest bait, though it’s pure fluff, and the other one that has one character a victim of domestic abuse Akiba ToukoJunketsu Drop (this one is the title instead, I just love this manga very much)
