hear me out... gf who likes to read and always go to the local bookstore for books and her bf who knows nothing about novels yada yada but still accompanies her quietly and patiently.

got the idea based on a tiktok vid i found yesterday. pairings! shidou ryusei x y/n because he defo doesn't read novels. pure fluff with a goofy and a bit ooc shidou?

"nah y/n, i'm so bored can we go do something together, pleaseeeee?"

shidou whined. you laughed at his childish behaviour. who would've thought this big, scary looking man could act like a total baby. and the best thing about that is that he only acts like this around you and you only.

"where you off to, pretty?" he asked as he sits up on the couch, head tilting to the side with a quizzical look on his face. "to the bookstore. i heard that they have restocked (fav author)'s most latest release!" you said excitedly.

you immediately laughed when you saw how blanked your boyfriend looked. "it's okay if you don't want to go with me though, it'll be a really quick trip-"

"I WANT TO GO WITH YOU!"

shidou immediately changed into his proper clothes in a speed of light. 5 minutes later, you both were already heading down the stairs of your shared apartment, on your way to the nearest bookstore. "you're just making an excuse to spend time with me, don't you?" you side eyed him jokingly.

the taller man laughed. "nah, wanted to tag along so that i can protect my little insect here." you gasped at the nickname. "excuse me, you're the one who's the insect! you and your antenna like hair!" you shoved him playfully as you crossed the road hand-in-hand. "hey now, don't make fun of my hair or you'll be getting sting tonight," he said in a low voice, instantly knowing what he meant. "NOOOO SHUT UP RYUSEI!"

minutes later after walking, you finally reached your desired bookstore. you rushed in, forgetting about your boyfriend who panicked and tried to catch up to you. "let me carry the basket for you, m'lady," he offered as he took the basket from your hands. you smiled as you continued to browse for your favourite author's works. "ohh they're all here oh my god!" you squealed as you put them down into the basket. shidou quietly follows you around the store, not saying a word as he admired how the stars shined in your eyes whenever you saw a novel that fits to your liking.

"do you want anything, ryu? a volume of your favourite manga perhaps?" you asked. to be honest, you felt bad that he has to accompany you to do something that he isn't fond of. "hm? oh, no need i'm good," he said, blandly. you flinched a bit at his tone of voice. is he mad? is he starting to get bored of me? your thoughts ran through your mind as your eyes started to drop to look to the floor.

shidou noticed this of course. as your boyfriend of nearly a year, he'd notice these sudden change of expressions in you. "hey hey, don't be like that. i was quiet the whole time not because i felt bored or anything. i enjoyed seeing you happy and being yourself in your own space that's all. i would never get bored of you," he explained calmly, as he cupped your cheeks. "aww, come 'ere, there's no need to cry now. i'll never leave your side, my love," shidou pulled you into a hug, patting your head along the process. "thanks ryusei," you smiled, giving him a kiss on the cheek. you were so grateful to have a boyfriend like him <3

Alright, my fellow UY folks!! Since the new trailer has dropped, why don't we unpack everything they've shown us so far?

Or more specifically, what all chapters are getting adapted in the third cour (only third since they won't reveal footage for the fourth one till the third is over.)!!

Also, ignore the stupid quality since I took the pictures on my phone..

First up is the Kurama - Ran - Rei two-parter!! Nice to see Kurama again since I was worried she would be a one time character since she didn't appear in the eye catches. However, I'm pretty sure this is going to be her last appearance since it's her final appearance in the manga (not counting cameos). It's one of the funnier Kurama chapters, so this will be great fun!!

Next up is the 'Fantasy bubblegum' chapter!! Another one I didn't think which would be adapted since we see Ten order the key item in this chapter in the post credits of the love-love crystal ball episode. Maybe the order was delayed? Or Ten didn't use it till now? Who knows. Anyways, this is a pretty funny chapter and I'm excited to see how it turns out (Also BenOyu yuri, Let's goo!!!)

AtaLum fans, Let's rejoice, because it looks like they're adapting "Love knows no barriers" aka the chapter where Lum gets hit with the rice cooker!!! This one is my favorite singular chapter in the series and I absolutely hated the original anime's version of this one so I hope the remake does this one justice!! I'm not sure whether the first one is from this chapter since Ataru's wearing his school uniform instead of his casuals, but maybe it's because of a few changes here and there. DavidPro, you better not disappoint me considering what the original did.

Looks like we're going to get the chapter which introduces the Ryuunosuke's mom (Masako) saga. I'm not sure whether they'll adapt everything under this saga, but the first one seems to be there. I really like this chapter because we get a wholesome relationship between Ryu and Ataru's mom.

THE BODYSWAP CHAPTER!!! This one comes a bit earlier from what I remember and not to mention, it's pretty hilarious (literally any chapter where Sakura has to deal with Ataru's BS is an A+ for me) so I'm super excited!!

ASUKA, MY CHILD!! IT'S HER!! Finally one of my UY Blorbo's gets animated!! And considering the shot of her and Ton- chan, yes guys, they're keeping the incest. I've never understood why there were some who said they wouldn't adapt it but like, it's one of Asuka's main character points and the incest is clearly portrayed as wrong and unacceptable, similar to Ataru's lecherous behavior (They might still tone it down though). Anyways, I'm so excited for Asuka, I can't wait!!!

And finally, two very beloved and very important arcs!! First, I can't believe we're getting three AtaLum stories in this cour, I mean we deserve it after being fed with only one last cour. And second, I'm pretty sure both these arcs are going to be at least a whole episode long considering how big these two are. And I have to admit, the door realm looks so pretty.. and I'm so excited for Shingo, Inaba and their arcs, can't January come already???

And that's all for it!! Other than these, there were two to three shots I couldn't exactly place which chapter they belong to, so sorry about that. And I wanted to point out that the animation looks quite fluid in some scenes as well, so it looks like DavidPro is doing great work as expected. Anyways, UY is coming back once again on January 11th and I am so ready!! THE HYPE IS REAL!!!

You know, personally, I never liked how Ryuunosuke from Urusei Yatsura’s arc ended, with her in a forced engagement to Nagisa and having not beaten her dad. Granted, she sort of seems to warm up to Nagisa, but it always seemed a bit weird to me that the main Ryuunosuke ship was one forced on her by her dad. It feels like Ryuunosuke’s dad wins in a way if Nagisa and Ryuu get together. Granted, I am a big Ryuunosuke x Benten shipper, so this might just be my bias talking.

There’s a lot that can be said about how much wasted potential there was in Ryu, but teasing us with the idea of her dating multiple women throughout the manga (especially Shinobu, Benten, and Ran) only for the boyish girl to end up with the girlish boy is just so unabashedly Rumic that it’s almost hard for me to be upset with it

I looked up this character and like who is this hottie?? 😀 I read the manga and yet didn’t even remember this gang wtf uhmm anyways… enjoy! (fem reader)

He waved goodbye to his mother as she blew him a kiss and got into her old car, backing out of the driveway and driving off in an instant.

He sighs to himself and ran a hand through his curly hair, glancing over at your house across the street to see you peering back coincidentally. You smiles awkwardly and waves, spawning a smile on his face and he held up his phone and pointed to it with his other hand.

He turned away first, walking into the now still house and slumped on the couch, awaiting his phone to go off. Sure enough, it did about a minute later, and his screen read ‘the cute neighbor ❤️’.

He answered it and listened to you rustle around and say goodbye to your parents, imagining you tugging on the same slip on shoes you always wore and slung your bag over your shoulder, shutting the door and starting towards his house.

“Miss me so much you needed to talk to me before you saw me?” he says with a chuckle as you hang up abruptly, knocking on the door soon after.

He rubs his eyes and gets up, dragging towards the door with a smile as he opens it up to have his beliefs true; your hair was a mess, you wore the same sweatshirt you always wore to cover up what you sported only for him, and your slip on shoes matched your bag.

“Hey.” he says simply, stepping aside to allow you into the familiar house.

“How much time do we have today?” you ask, slipping your shoes off at the door and setting down your bag nearby.

“A few hours. Plenty of time.” he says as he tugs your sweatshirt off, revealing the overly short crop top with a red laced bra. He could only imagine how the rest of you looked, so he also tugged off your shorts to reveal your matching set.

You instinctively put your hands up, both the cold air and the fact that you were almost naked with him fully clothed getting to you.

“Oh come on, nothing I haven’t seen.” he says with a chuckle as he drags you towards his bedroom.

“Still as beautiful as ever.” he says with a cheeky grin as you layed down on his bed, covering your face with your hands as he lined up.

“Let me see that pretty face, otherwise I won’t do anything.” he says sternly as you peak through your hands, but not taking them completely off.

You let out a whine of disapproval as he pinched your nipple, taking your hands off with a pout as you looked the other way.

“unfair.” you muttered as he quirked his eyebrows in amusement at your unusually bratty behavior.

“What’s gotten into you? Do I need to teach you..” he starts as he runs an icy finger along your chin, “how to act correctly?”

You shook your head and earned another annoyed look, opting to mutter a small “no”.

“No? You think not?” he says, bringing his head down to have his hot breathing right on your neck, sending shivers down your spine as he bit down on the tender skin.

“No.. my parents..” you whined out, but he places a hand over your mouth as he moved over farther, leaving a wet line of purple like a necklace.

He suddenly shoved himself all the way in, bringing tears to prick at your eyes as you struggled to take all of him at once.

“Ryu.. too- much!” you blabbed out as he rose up and propped you up on his legs, drilling into the spot he knew drove you crazy as your face scrunched up.

“Like that?” he asks with a sadistic lauch as you nodded your head, barely even having to with the way the thrusts were bobbing you up and down already hard enough.

You came undone, surprising both of you, yet he didn’t stop his ruthless pace, sending you into overstimulation as you clawed at his wrists.

He said sweet nothings to you, but they fell onto deaf ears. It hadn’t even been half an hour yet and your head was spinning, eye rolled back as far as they could go as he hit your g-spot over and over. You had long ago made a ring of your slick on his cock, but he went on and on and on.

You wondered if you weren’t doing well, saying that he hadn’t busted yet evn once when you were edging onto your third time. It took all of the energy you had, but you clamped down on him with all of your strength and that was all he needed to coat your insides with white.

I finished watching Shaman King 2021 yesterday! Some scattered thoughts on Episodes 38-52!

So much happened in this episode but absolutely everything has been wiped from my brain because WHAT is Marco's battle outfit —

Man, the X-Laws' reveal was a big deal but again, it went at a 100 miles an hour so there wasn't much space/time to absorb everything... and I can't believe how huge that table has gotten, lol

Episode 40

For me, a Team Horohoro fan, this episode was... truly a lot. I want to know his full story (and despite what Yoh and Ren say, I know that they do, too). He was seriously amazing and guh, just such a fantastic character. I loves the kanji and etymology lesson from Hao, too.

I'm still kinda shocked that Yoh is back in the Shaman Fight as I thought that his being out of the game was a massive divergence that was going to set the series apart, but the way things have worked out is pretty cool!

And the Five Elemental warriors are gonna come from Gandhara, huh? Nice!

The new ending is GORGEOUS. Whoa whoa.

(Also, finally getting some closure for why Yoh has felt so off — poor chilled boy is so stressed.)

I think Marco is dead dead (unless he'll be revived?) and phew, the stuff with the X-Laws' satellite was cool! ALTHOUGH. I'm wondering what the heck they saw that made Hao so damn angry.

Jun having trained with Sati? Whoa! And having the mana to resurrect THREE people? When Faust could only do one? I have some questions, but I'm happy my girl is involved!

But since Anna has also mastered the Ultra Senji Ryakketsu, surely she should also be able to resurrect people?

This is so wild but it's exciting so I'll roll with it!

Episode 44

ANNA VS HAO and there are still so many secrets there? THE TENSION.

Tao Ran and Tao Yúan on screen together, yahoo! (Flipping heck, I loved those moments when Ren was so embarrassed about his family cheering him on, lolol)

BUT BLOODY HELL THIS BATTLE. TBH I really want Team The Ren to win because I do feel that they've got Yoh outclassed... the Ren/Horo lightning/ice combo is just too good. Though wow, Horohoro is MAD.

Episode 45

I'm so close to the end and I'm so sad!

Phew, so we find out which elements the boyos are going to have! I was fully expecting Yoh to have fire, so I was super surprised that it'll be Lyserg instead. Joco with the 'Wind of Change' makes sense, as does Ren with lightning (though I'm surprised that this was an element over metal, tbh, especially since Ren made some comments about Yoh's mastery of metal where Spirit of Sword was concerned) and Horohoro with water. Yoh as the sturdy earth guy is good.

(I'm slightly angsty for Ryu... there wasn't much of an explanation from Sati and Gandhara about precisely why the Elemental Warriors had to be kiddos, apart from the established conversation about adults knowing their ceilings. I assume that there's a bit more detail in the manga.)

This fight against the rest of the world, though? Huh, dramatic! I'm a bit sketchy about the whole laser thing becaaause I thought that was spiritual energy that was fired at the island, but it couldn't have been if the whole world is aware of it? So I have questions!

Everyone chillding in the hot spring is so cute, good gracious.

Wow, show's over. Hao is the Shaman King.

HOW is this going to wrap up in a satisfying way when we still have another 8 Patch Officiants to get through djdjd the Lyserg OST hits so haaaard...

Waaaa the adults are having a barbecue and the kids are fighting for their lives and we are losing healers left and right and Opacho can read minds and there are still SO MANY REVELATIONS crikeyyyy

The tone changes are so odd to keep up with; one second, Redseb and Seyrarm are dying and the next, Kalim is bringing everyone dinner and the guys are taking a break to recover mana when it's been explicitly stated they have 15 hours to save the world! This is so whack to me.

WAIT I nearly missed that there was a ton of stuff after the credits and djhff Horohoro doesn't like his full name?

Episode 50

Oh man, the way Tamiko died was actually harrowing and then she's revealed to be Kororo and Ren's just like. Horohoro is now in dope mode we must ignore him fhfjjlfj

Ren has been taking on most of these fights and his battle against Nichrom was swift, but cool; I loved Joco vs Thalim though — and Thalim himself was adorable!

Episode 51

ALL THE ELEMENTAL SPIRITS VS HAO!

I'm weeping Shaman King is so special the whole thing is just WE WILL DEFEAT THE BADDIE WITH THE POWER OF LOVE.

Episode 52

I definitely cried during the last episode because parts of the ending were so beautiful; everyone coming together to show Hao that he could be saved — that salvation is in accepting your humanity and believing in the humanity of others. And I found Hao's mother's words so freaking soothing... I'm glad that Hao missing his mother was foreshadowed earlier, but we could have had more of that, I think.

And sure, they haven't fixed the world by 2007, but that is OKAY — most of them are around 22 and at that age, I was a wreck! So they have time and their lives to look forward to and... and I guess I disagree with the folks who say that the end of Shaman King is bad because they feel 'everything was pointless'; there's a lot to do and, even with guardian ghosts, shamans can't do everything alone.

I think this is an anime I could definitely rewatch, at some point. Wow. I love these characters and, as much as I griped about this, that and the other, I loved this story.

And I think it's so interesting that Yoh just. Didn't end up as the Shaman King djbdfh that;s definitely not what I was expecting!

Midoriya ran his hands over the beautiful white corset vest before him. The luxurious emerald-green silk brocade felt like butter under his scarred and calloused finger. The smooth glide of his fingers across the fabric was broken by the thready feel of the beautiful gold and black embroidered patterns that reminded him of old, long dead aristocrats. The steel boning was rigid, giving it a shaped appearance, even while it was draped limply over the table. It truly was a work of art. Next to it was a matching vest in lilac silk with a matching gold and black pattern. This one, however, lacked the rigid boning, instead it had soft flexible rods and the inside was lined to be thicker so it would mimic the look of a corset without acting as one.

“It’s a beautiful design. It was made to your specific measurements, so it should fit perfectly.” The saleswoman’s perky voice cut through Midoriya’s thoughts.

“It’s perfect.” Midoriya looked at the tall blonde. A slight blush formed on his cheeks. “Would there be anyone that could help me put it on? I’ve never worn one before.”

“Of course. Would you prefer a man or woman to assist you?” The woman asked.

“Oh... Ummm. I don’t think it matters that much.” Midoriya said. “The tailor told me to bring the pants and shirt I’d be wearing with me.” Midoriya raised the small black bag he was holding. It also held his light coat. He wasn’t sure how he would look in this thing to be honest, so he was not expecting to be comfortable wearing it in public.

“Wonderful. Follow me.” The woman picked up the corset and led Midoriya to the private dressing room, where he had previously been measured. She laid the dark green corset on the plush top of the table in the room. “I’ll leave you to change into your pants and shirt. I’ll have a dresser knock on the door when they come, and you just tell them when you’re ready.”

She was out the door before Midoriya could say thank you, so he just set his bag down and stripped himself of his jeans and t-shirt. He folded them neatly and set them in his bag. He put on the black button up shirt he had brought and the slim fit black slacks. Every wall of the room was mirrored, and he couldn’t help but look at his own reflection. He smoothed down his unruly green curls as best he could. He looked nervous even to himself. He had been so sure that this was the birthday present he had wanted to give, but now that he had spent the money and been fitted, he was having second thoughts. “Nothing to do about it now. If he hates it, he hates it.” Midoriya mumbled. He turned in the mirror and admired his own ass. “At least my butt looks good.” A sharp knock on the door drew Midoriya’s attention from his reflection. “You can come in.”

A tall black-haired man stepped in. He was dressed in a white button up shirt, with a beautiful crimson corset vest over it. It cinched in his waist impossibly small, and while it looked beautiful, it had started to make Midoriya think that he was in way over his head. In his hands he held a simple black gift box with a lilac ribbon on it. “Hello, Midoriya. I’m Ryu. I’ll be your dresser today. This is your other item, all ready to go.” He set the gift box down and picked up the corset, turning it over in his hands. “I’ve been admiring this in our backroom for the last week. It’s exquisite.”

“Uh, I mean. Thank you. It was mostly designed by the tailor. I’m much more of jeans and t-shirt type.” Midoriya watched as the man made short work of the clasps on the front of the vest.

“You’ve never worn a corset before, correct?” Ryu watched Midoriya nod his head. “Do you know what type of look you’re going for?”

“No. Honestly. I know this is going to sound really stupid. But I have a friend who absolutely adores corsets. He’s wanted to wear one his whole life, but he has some health issues that prevent him doing that. And he talks all the time about them, so I thought that I’d wear one for him. I got him what the tailor called a faux corset, I’m really hoping that he likes it…” Midoriya felt himself start rambling and shut his mouth before he could elaborate further.

“I don’t think that sounds stupid at all. When you’re lacing corsetry, you can go for a very distinct, cinched look, like what I’m wearing. Now, of course being your first time, we’d never go this extreme. I’ve been training for quite some time now. But there is also a less cinched look, that will give a much more masculine feel.”  Ryu held out the vest for Midoriya.

Midoriya slipped his arms through. “The masculine one, I guess.” The man came in front of him and quickly clasped the vest closed. The vest felt loose, similar to way his regular suit vest had felt when he had worn the suit for Ochako’s wedding. He thought that maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Ryu moved back around behind Midoriya. “First thing to know is that your corset does not lace top to bottom.” He pressed his hand to the middle of Midoriya’s back. “Your laces will meet in the middle. If you’re doing it yourself, it’s easier to do with a mirror.”  He continued on, giving Midoriya tips on how to lace the corset and how to tell if it was too loose or too snug as he worked the laces tighter.

Midoriya felt the corset cinch in snuggly as the man pulled on the laces at the back, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. The boning kept his back straight, correcting his posture, and making him feel taller. His waist had always been thick, giving him a muscular but boxy look. The corset vest made his body look a bit slimmer, much like Bakugou’s form with his broad shoulders and narrow waist. Overall, he thought it was actually a nice look for him.

“How’s that feel?” Ryu asked.

“Feels fine. I actually thought it’d be harder to breathe.” Midoriya admitted.

“They can be if they’re cinched too tightly. It all depends on the look you’re going for. But I think you’ve got a very natural looking hip to waist ratio with the way I’ve done it. Not undone, but not too cinched either.” Ryu stepped back out of Midoriya’s personal space. “Now, some tips for your new corset. Dry clean only. Let it air out after wearing it. Always, fully loosen the laces on your corset before undoing the front busks.”

“The front what’s?” Midoriya asked.

“The clasps on the front of your corset are called busks. If you don’t loosen the laces before you undo the busks, you’ll warp them, and it won’t fit right. Take some time, walk around the dressing room, sit down, see how it feels. If anything feels uncomfortable, let me know. I’ll be by the register.” Ryu left, closing the door behind him.

Midoriya admired the look of himself in the mirror, thinking to himself that he might actually wear this out once or twice. He wondered what Bakugou would think about this look. He walked around the dressing room and it was stiff, nothing he would want to be fighting villains in. He sat down on the ottoman in the room and had to admit that it was slightly uncomfortable. The rigid structure of the boning kept his back super straight and if he tried to hunch forward, the bottom rubbed against his hipbone in a grating sort of way. He stood back up, took a selfie in the mirror, and texted it to both Ochako and Bakugou.

Midoriya grabbed his bag, tucking the gift box under the same arm and waved to Ryu and the saleswoman at the counter and left the store heading to Yuuga’s place. His phone pinged with fire emoji from Ochako, followed very quickly by a call from Bakugou. “Hey, Kacchan. What’d you think?”

“You’re gonna wear that home, right?” Bakugou’s voice came through the phone low and gravelly.

Midoriya felt himself grin at the obvious reaction his boyfriend was having to the outfit. “Only if you come out to Yuuga’s birthday dinner and be nice. And I mean, really nice.”

“You’re really gonna make me suffer through the damned disco ball’s birthday?” Bakugou asked.

“Oh, I think I’m going to milk this for all it’s worth. You should see my ass in this outfit.” Midoriya teased.

“I’ll go, but you better make it worth my while. And that extra better keep his hands on the damned corset and off your fucking ass.” Bakugou threatened.

“Aww, are you jealous Kacchan?” Midoriya heard Bakugou growl over the phone. “Don’t worry. You know it’s not like that. I’ll see you at seven. Kaminari has the address.” They said their goodbyes and Midoriya tucked his phone back into his pocket. He could feel people watching him as he walked, and he felt more confident with each block. Before knocking on the door, Midoriya dug his coat out of his bag and put it, zipping it up completely.

“Izuku!” Aoyama smiled warmly at his friend and welcomed him in. “I thought we were all meeting at the restaurant.”

Izuku stepped over the threshold. Aoyama’s place was bright, every shelf covered in some sparkly bauble, and Izuku was highly surprised that he hadn’t hung a disco ball in the center of his apartment. “Well, everyone else is. But I had a surprise for you. And I wanted to give it to you before dinner.”

“A gift? For Moi?” Aoyama eyed the black box in Midoriya’s arm excitedly and held his arms out.

“Ah–Not yet.” Midoriya set his bag down and set the box carefully on top of it. “There’s two parts to this gift. I remember you talking about this at length, and I always felt bad that there was something you really wanted to do but couldn’t and so…” Midoriya sucked in a deep breath to stop his rambling and unzipped his jacket, slipping it off his shoulders. He watched Aoyama’s eyes grow wide. He moved forward; his eyes fixed on the corset vest.

Aoyama’s eyes trailed down to the beautifully embroidered silk corset. Midoriya’s broad shoulders now tapered down to a slightly more slender waist. The curve of his body was accentuated by the boning and the tight, tailored fit of the vest. Aoyama stretched a handout tentatively. “Can I? S’il vous plait?”

“Of course.” Midoriya replied.

Aoyama let his hands trail over the soft silk. They followed the curve of his muscular chest, and down around the sides of his waist. His fingers played over the lace detailing, following its trails across Midoriya’s flat stomach and around to his back.

Midoriya watched Aoyama’s eyes drink in every detail, like he was looking at some famous work of art. His hands grazed lightly, delicately over the fabric as if afraid pressing too hard would damage it. He felt Aoyama’s hands on his shoulders, as he circled behind Midoriya. They trailed down his shoulder blades and along his spine, feeling the laces, and running along the bottom hem of the corset.

“C’est magnifique.” Aoyama exclaimed breathlessly. “You look wonderful. Tell me, please. How does it feel?”

Midoriya worried that his clumsy words would ruin what looked like an almost religious experience as Aoyama stared, still at the material of the corset. “It feels tight. Not unbearably so, like a really strong hug. My back and shoulders feel straighter, like someone has a ruler against my back without the pressure there. It’s surprisingly easy to move in.”

“Like a hug, Mon Dieu!” Aoyama clapped his hands together. “It really is beautiful, Izuku. It suits you wonderfully.

Midoriya could see Aoyama’s eyes welling up a bit and he thought that maybe he had made things worse; showing Aoyama up close, something that he couldn’t have. “It’s only half of the gift, remember?” Midoriya reached down and grabbed the black box with its bow and handed it to Aoyama. He watched as Aoyama excitedly opened the box and stared, his mouth forming a silent ‘O’ at the beautiful silk fabric in the box. “It’s not a real corset. The boning is this really flexible plastic, and the lining inside is padded and thick, so you get the look of the corset. The laces are permanent, so they can’t be tightened; only opened and closed by the clasps... er, busks on the front.”

“The design is the same as yours.” Aoyama smiled at Midoriya.

Midoriya looked down at his feet. “Yeah… Sorry… I don’t know, I just thought…”

“I adore it, Midoriya. Stay here, I must put it on!” Aoyama took off towards another room, leaving Midoriya standing by the doorway.

“I guess that means he liked it.” Midoriya mumbled. When Aoyama came out, he was beaming. He didn’t walk, he strutted like he was on a catwalk in Paris. He had paired his lighter colored vest with white, slim fitted slacks and long-sleeved white button up shirt. He preened and strutted around like he was on a catwalk in Paris. When he finally stopped, it was only to excitedly wave at Midoriya to join him in front of the mirror for several selfies.

Aoyama kissed Midoriya chastely on the cheek. “Thank you, Izuku. This means so much. Now let’s get going before fashionably late no longer applies!”

Toons was one of the very first archetypes to debut in the card game with a predefined strategy compared to many others from back in the day. Working along "Toon World" to obtain Special Summons and direct attacks, Toons unfortunately didn't gain any big reputation gameplay-wise due their frail nature and slow pacing. However, they still gained a reputation among fans as their members are parodies of several recognizable monsters in the card game, going from the most famous cards like "Dark Magician" to obscure choices such as "Masked Sorcerer".

"Manga Ryu-Ran" is an interesting card just for the fact that is not referred as  Toon in its name (Only in the TCG), and that's mostly what is known for. Overall "Manga Ryu-Ran" offers the same qualities as any other Toon from its generation, allowing it to attack directly if the opponent doesn't control any Toons. As a high Level monster "Manga Ryu-Ran" might be Special Summoned, but still requires the usual two materials for a traditional Tribute Summon. As the other debutant Toons in the card game "Manga Ryu-Ran" cannot attack the turn is summoned, and requires a cost of 500 Life Points to do so afterwards. And like nearly the rest of the archetype, "Manga Ryu-Ran" will destroy itself if "Toon World" is also destroyed. In resume, like many other Toons "Manga Ryu-Ran" requires some preparatives for both its summon and when the chance comes to attack, and with a respectable DEF might take some slight advantages over the rest of its archetype.

As one of the originals Toons to be released in the game, "Manga Ryu-Ran" requires some investment for its summoning as requires not only "Toon World" but also materials to be tributed. "Toon Table of Contents" will solve most of the preparatives as searches for either "Manga Ryu-Ran" or "Toon World" upon activation, as well the substitute "Toon Kingdom" which can also be added to our hand thanks to "Terraforming". We can skip the process of gathering materials with either "Toon Dark Magician" summoning "Manga Ryu-Ran" from our Deck, or Red-Eyes Toon Dragon" bringing it from our hand instead. But if we really need some tributes, "Toon Mermaid" along her copies can swarm the board ready to become materials, and along other summons such as "Tin Goldfish" and "Jester Confit" shouldn't be that difficult. "Manga Ryu-Ran" might feel like a nomi monster, but once is summoned properly and as long "Toon World" is active it can be brought back from the Graveyard by revival effects like "Call of the Haunted".

"Manga Ryu-Ran" behaves the same way as the rest of the original Toons, requiring some proper timing for its summon to start its direct attacks afterwards. With 2200 ATK is high enough to deal devastating damage towards the opponent, and with other Toons as well the assistance of cards like "Toon Rollback" shouldn't be difficult to achieve a win by going through any stronger enemies. "Manga Ryu-Ran" might be weaker than other high-level Toons, but to compensate has its 2600 DEF that can become quite handy upon arrival. Since is treated as a Special Summon and requires a turn to be able to attack, "Manga Ryu-Ran" can be brought in Defense Position and stall the opponent until our turn resumes. This can be combined along cards such as "Stumbling" and "Vengeful Bog Spirit" delaying the opponent's summons to match our Toons, giving us a breather against their attacks as "Manga Ryu-Ran" and the rest are ready to direct attack.

"Manga Ryu-Ran" is not that different as any of the first Toons to become available in the game, and that's its biggest problem. For the investment required we could instead play along members like "Toon Summoned Skull" or "Toon Dark Magician Girl", far easier to summon and with better overall stats than "Manga Ryu-Ran". Not only that, but the addition of newest Toons like "Toon Dark Magician" made it even more obsolete, and for the same effort we could instead play arround "Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon" as one of the strongest Toons available. Its DEF being higher than most of the other Toons gives "Manga Ryu-Ran" a slight advantage over the rest of the archetype, but with many better options in the archetype right from the first set of Toons makes it difficult to become efficient for all the effort required just for its summon.
