heeeey, dear! 🥂💖 happy new year to you!!
idk if tumblr ate my other messages or you just didn't get a chance to answer them, but... just wanted to drop by and tell you how much i adored your soulmates au spadeliano fic. it was fucking incredible!!! just so... asdffhjllkkhdsgkj!! i have no words!! soulmate aus are hard af to write, but hooooly hell, you did yours justice. <3 i just keep reading and re reading it, i'm on love with your writing and your characterisation. you're a great writer :33
as for hanahaki... yeah, so much room to play around with it. and our two idiots would be perfect for the angst *fingers start itching as new story ideas form inside my mind*.. and you are SO right about the flower symbolism too!!
spadeliano a/b/o... now THAT'S a thought 👀 and casting aurelia as the omega? brilliant!! you just Know his dad started shoving inhibitors down his throath as soon as aureliano presented as an omega (btw i see livia as totally an alpha, which of course causes soo many conflicting feelings for aureliano). and just Imagine the absolute shitshow of a reaction the anacleti clan would have if spadi accidentally knocked up aure. just... aghhh!! someone needs to write this asap. :')
but i present you with ywt another angsty au to start 2023 with: time loop fix it au!! like... spadino is the one who keeps re-living aureliano's death. maybe the loop starts the day he can't kill manfredi and ends with spadi cradling aure's dead body on the boat. and spadino keeps trying to change things, but aureliano keeps dying. and if he doesn't die, someone else does, like angelica or nadia. whatever he does, the loop keeps resetting. and maybe the more spadi and aure sit down and talk shit out, the more self aware aureliano becomes. and idk.. yada yada, etcetera, insert plot here, BAM!! happy ending (:
aaaaanyway....so sorry to intrude like this yet again in your asks dear. i hope 2023 is kind to you <33 i hope that even if dark times come, you'll ne able to find a guiding light to get you through them. :**
Happy new year, darling anon! 🥂🍾
I think tumblr ate your messages, because I definitely haven't received any, which is unfortunate because I would have loved to read them :(
And afdhdjdkk I'm glad you enjoyed it because honestly I wasn't sure about it when I finally posted it, so thank you!
And omg yes, Livia is ABSOLUTELY an alpha in this case. I think he may be one of those, who comes from a family line of alphas, you know? Where it's a pride point of the family that Adami blood breeds strong alphas, but Aurelia is an anomaly. It would tie in so well with his family dynamic from the show.
I feel like the classic (if cheesy) story would be that Aurelia has abused inhibitors and lied about his status so as not to "tarnish the family name" or so that his men would respect him, so he doesn't feel the signs of his heat coming on when he meets Spadino. Or maybe the signs start showing when he realizes he's falling for him??? Which could be really fun.
And of course in this scenario Aure and Spadì's daughter is Rubina✨️❤️
OH. MY. GOD.
Time loop. The ANGST. OH god you're so right anon, gosh just the pain that Spadì would have to go through everytime he fails... holding Aurelia as he dies over and over again, wondering if he'll ever break out of this cycle, and thinking that it's somehow punishment for everything he's done.
And AURE.
Every loop he sees Spadino breaking down more and more, until he's basically just a shell of himself...!!! Retaining just enough memory that eventually they can work it out, and break free of it.
I'm imagining a scene after Aurelia FINALLY listens to him and they're sitting at the hotel eating pasta (obligatory pasta scene) and trying to figure out where they fucked up to fix it. Ooh the pain of Aurelia understanding the situation but still dying thoooooough. Aaaaaaaaaaaa!
And telling Spadì not to worry, maybe they did it this time, maybe it was going to be fixed. But Spadì is almost praying that it's not, because he can't imagine any timeline where Aurelia isn't by his side!!
Anon you are truly genius.

top 5 funniest suburra moments in no particular order
1. spadino and angelica coming out of the fountain at their wedding to tarzan boy by baltimora
2. the english subtitles changing “zio prete” to “friar fuck” like the world’s weirdest bootleg of sex and the city
3. spadino and aureliano going baby shopping after Doing Murders to buy the biggest gaudiest ugliest crib they can find because none of that scandinavian minimalist shit will cut it
4. livia going “damn bitch, you live like this?” while being literally kidnapped and held hostage at the anacleti family home
5. manfredi aging about 30 years in less than half that time, presumably because being an asshole gives you wrinkles

character study: alberto «spadino» anacleti
so, Spadino is very complicated person, who is full of contrasts and controversies. let's discover what is wrong with him! (or what is right...)
× he has been a criminal since the age of five, maybe, cause he said that by this time he has already been able to fake the bills;
• he grew up in such kind of family where you can do only "family business" and nothing else. also the gypsy way of life often includes small or big crimes (don't get me wrong, I'm talking not about all nation);
× he is a killer.
• as we could see in episode 1 season 1 he didn't want "to get his hands dirty", but his brother literally made him to by killing a sheep as a traditional ritual. I know that it's not the same thing as killing a person, but still thought-provoking.
he is not coldblooded maniac, who will slice people just for fun (but!).
I think that he killed about 10 (or less) people during all 3 season, but I can be wrong, and did it in much more less brutal way that Aurelia or Samurai, but it doesn't matter now. he *got used to* solve his problems like that and I would like to say that mostly people he killed were even worse than him. I don't remember his lover's name, unfortunately, but *that* scene has shown us that he is definitely not a monster and has so much feelings, regrets, doubts etc, that he couldn't sleep the nights (I don't think that it was just because of Lele's death).
× he is a sadist.
• returning to that "but", all of fans could remember his strange giggle when someone was suffering (like Chinaglia or these guys who attacked Nadia and Angelica or even that priest from season 1) and his face was full of joy. or, maybe, that *cruel* joy when you become content when someone who did something bad to you received it in response.
I don't know exactly but something makes me feel that yes, he has such kind of proclivities, but they are not too expressed.
maybe he just converts self-hatred into this rage and wants people to suffer as much as he does.
× he is ruthless. yes, it's better not to be his enemy, because he would use a gun or knife against you.
• he still has a soul, because he couldn't kill Aureliano (actually twice or more) when all his family wanted to revenge or he couldn't kill his own brother just based on that nasty things that Manfredi did. he only could kill his brother after he lost his heart because of family that hated him so much that wanted to get rid of Spadino in such a cruel way, than just banish him. they *wouldn't let him be free* anyway, so they would prefer dead Spadi than stubborn, powerful gay man in their society.
× he is an egoist. of course, he doesn't want to please his mother or brother. or wife that he has never wanted to marry.
• in some cases it's true, but... again and again this "but", ugh! he would definitely die to save people that he love and he cares so much about them.
Angelica was an outsider and it would be much more easier to continue ignore her or hate, or something else, but finally he tried get to know her better. and there was such a strong connection between them, what people could call "storge" (family love) or "philia" (friend bond). for Aurelia it was "agape" for sure. he would die, he would kill anyone, he would do something else for Adami, and what is it, if not a strong, sincere love?
Spadino is not an angel or a saint. He is a human, as we all are. So what is so remarkable about this character?
— He stayed a human being after all troubles and bad situations. Yes, he has blood on his hands, but he could not do otherwise because of his upbringing.
And there is a contradiction again!
— He became better person than his mother, brother, cousins and others, on his own. Spadino created himself not that dastardly, nasty, unpleasant human that he could become in that conditions.
At least he still has a moral compass, while others turned into monsters.

Okay I don’t understand why but my app doesn’t lest me answer so I have to write here.
The question is to take as 50/50.
I don’t know if you watched the movie or read the book, we’re trying to post them to show the differences - in italian - so I’ll explain to you what they did show through the years and what we want to see.
In the book Spadino and Aureliano aren’t friends, they just know each other bc of their families and Aureliano ends up killing him (bc job).
Spadino isn’t an Anacleti and Angelica and the baby don’t exist
Aureliano’s name is Cesare (like the one used in the serie by Spadino for his baby)
Manfredi isn’t his brother
In the movie they know each other and they don’t see each other by years and Aureliano ends up killing him (bc job).
We don’t know if Angelica and the baby exist.
Manfredi suffers his brother’s death and will lost focus so he dies too
The serie is a prequel of the movie, Spadino is an Anacleti and we don’t know if Angelica and the baby will be safe. Theo is the only person he has killed and for who he has suffered after the father.
Aureliano has lost many people through the years (and weeks) and the only stable relationship he does have is with Spadino and he knows it. The second season is a masterpiece for them.
We really want to see uncle!Aureliano and dad!Spadino (Dads!Spadotto of course) they’ll be so sweet and protective. Spadino will surely show to Aureliano his potential, WHY he (still) loves him. Aureliano will sure be a protector IF nothing else will happen.
What I want to see is Aureliano taking care of Spadino first, like Spadino has done in S2 with him.
Does this mean someone beside Spadino has to die?
Aureliano has already lost everything, Spadino hasn’t.
Angelica and Aureliano HAVEN’T met yet. That’s a big thing. Angelica doesn’t like him(?) and she’s afraid (jealous) of the relationship of his husband with the king of Ostia. All the female characters are a turning point for the males, see Mara and Cristiana with Lele, Sara with Cinaglia, Livia with Aureliano and Adelaide with his son.
Hiii, It's kinda hard to find a Suburra fandom out there, this show is terribly underrated but I'm glad to find you! ♥ So, we already going to see Spadi as a dad (which is awesome!), how do you think Aurelia would be as a daddy? He had a pretty shitty relationship with Tulio so do you think he would try to make it different with his little one?
Hii!! Sorry again❤❤ and we’re here exactly for this. We love the show, we live in their city and we want many other fans to join and share feels!
