but with good business means promotions and promoting a man in business, damien was traveling all over the world representing his company until he reached the highest possible promotion one could get. he was making great money, enough to fly anywhere and do anything that he wanted to do - you know, if he could get the time to do it.

given that he was away more than he was at home, his wife started seeking comfort and attention from another man. his brother, gerald. and when the man was gone for a month on business and came back home he was met with a very pregnant wife and divorce papers.

his mental health started to decline, he went into a depression and that of course started effecting his work performance, leading him to be demoted time and time again until he was just asked to leave.

he moved away from cork, figuring that if he cashed out his 401k and savings, he could find anywhere to go that was in the place he once considered home.

he moved to manchester to start new, even landing a job in the university to teach about the marketing side of business. now he’s looking for a roommate and a fresh start, the only question is, will he allow himself to be happy once again?

Avery was born in Bordeaux, France in the early summer morning. She was the youngest of the three Iglesias children and while her parents had wanted a baby, wanted her, she was not the saving grace her parents were hoping for. Then again, having a child to save a marriage never works out well.

She had always been an overachiever when it came to school and was at the top of her class. When she was in the second grade, her teachers noticed she was bored in school and gave the Iglesias two options. Either put her in a different school, one that would be more challenging for her, or they could put her in a higher grade. They went with moving her up a few grades, putting the eight year old in the fifth grade with one of her older siblings

After that, things seemed to change for Avery and the rest of her family. While the siblings sat and did homework together at their kitchen table, ten feet away their parents were arguing. The fighting had always been there, they just did a better job at hiding it when around their children. And while the grades of her siblings started to slip, Avery’s were where they always had been: at the top.

Despite them being unhappy, Avery’s parents didn’t file for divorce until she was fourteen. The whole process took a year and ended with the three children being asked who they would rather live with. It has been one of the most emotional days of her life, but while her siblings chose to stay in Bordeaux with their mom, Avery picked their dad and shortly after, they moved to Manchester.

Having already graduated high school by this point, Avery enrolled at The University of Manchester, working her way towards a degree in business management. She had done it mostly to appease her father but had no actual desire to do anything with it.

By the time she graduated, she had moved out on her own and with little career prospects, Avery had found herself waitressing at bars. It wasn’t until one night that she had been approached by an older gentleman, one she might not have actually given the time of day had it not been for his proposal. He needed a date to a family wedding so that he didn’t have to explain why  he was still single. She was about to say no when he offered her any amount of money. She had joked and said she would do it for $10K. She thought that was the last of it, but when he showed up the next day with a certified cheque, Avery couldn’t say no.

After that night she invested in herself. She created a website and started going on dates for money. Most might have classified her as a sugar baby or an escort, but Avery saw herself as a different breed. She never took presents from her clients nor did she sleep with any of them. That was her number one rule. But rules are made to be broken, right?

While most of her clients had been older and less confident in their looks, she had one client that was not like the rest. They were closer in age, though he was older and though he didn’t need any help getting a date, he had a problem finding someone who wasn’t using him for his money. And though he paid her usual rates, they had grown close and eventually, she stopped depositing the cheques. It wasn’t until about two years after he had become her client that they slept together. She had fallen in love and there was only one thing to do. Run.

She took down her website and changed her number and with no prospects when it came to work, Avery found herself at Obsession’s. She had enjoyed being in front of the crowd and even people liked to pass judgement on strippers, she was proud of her work.

sasha’s somewhat difficult upbringing definitely had foreshadowed the person she’d become. she had a habit of doing whatever it took to be out on top, never wanting to remember the life she had as a child. somewhere along the way, she became devious in other aspects as well. she had this charm to her, an alluring nature that almost always meant things went her way. if she wanted something, she took it, even if it meant hurting someone else. sasha just wasn’t programmed to think for anyone but herself.

though she did have her moments. It was always with the people closest to her, the times when her claws were retracted and her guard was down. she could be funny and protective and gentle. it was too bad so few people saw that side of her.

Hazel was born to a single mother who was a drug addict in London. biography

grace had never known her parents growing up. sent to foster care at only three months old, she’d shuffled in between group homes throughout her childhood. grace was quiet, always with a book in her hands, reading away amongst the chaos of life. she tried to not thing about her family. it felt that any answer would just hurt her more. 

she’d lived in chicago until she finished college at the university of chicago, majoring in creative writing. money had always been scarce in her life, and she’d grown used to being alone, doing whatever it took to survive. while she’d managed to get a scholarship, grace still worked as a bartender until she was 22. she’d always known what she wanted to be. a writer. she liked imagining other lives besides her own, growing up it was the only thing that kept her going. 

with what little money she had saved, grace moved to rome, italy, working as a waitress with broken italian as she began writing her first book. she supposed it was something that she had always liked about her job, it was nothing but ordinary, as she wasn’t confined to a 9-5 job. more than anything, grace was a hopeless romantic, even if she could never hold a relationship for longer than a few months. it was only natural that her first book was one full of romance. the story of someone with a story all too similar to hers, finding love in a new city after being alone for so long. it was personal, and heartwarming, which was why it had done so good. finally having the money to pay more than just rent, after two years in rome, grace found herself a new city to live in, with a new story to write.

that’s how it had always worked, never staying anywhere too long. grace had traveled the world, living in cities that she could only dream of as a child. she’d become used to never holding onto to much, that way she never felt sad when it was time to move on. but manchester was different. she’d moved there only two years ago, starting her third book. normally she would’ve left by now, but there was something about the city that stuck with her. sure, she was different than most, obvious by her chicago-born accent she could never shake, but somehow, it felt like home. it felt like where she belonged.

she’s such a simplistic person. seriously if you ever came to her place, you’d think it was just moved into. she’s not the kind of person that holds onto things, definitely not one to hold onto memorabilia, with the exception of a postcard from every city she’s lived in

a dreamer at heart. she’s very spontaneous, does so many things on impulse, definitely the kind of person you’d want to be around for an exciting time

isn’t the greatest at empathy but tries to be there for her friends. it definitely has to do with the way she was forced to grow up, and how quickly she had to as well

because she had to grow up at such a young age, she can come off as a little childlike at times. she’s really into trying new things, loves anything with a little thrill in it.

a sweetheart, really. she’s kind of bad at making friends because she moved around so much so it’s not the first thing that comes to mind, but once you’re a friend, you’re one for life!!

caroline mckay was beautiful. that’s what people had said about the woman her entire life. that she was beautiful, never that she was intelligent or kind or gracious, but that she was beautiful.

born to an upper middle class family, her mother the doting housewife to her father, a financial broker, the earliest memories caroline has of her childhood are in dressing rooms, her mother spraying her down with far too much hairspray, and the bright flashes of spotlights a queue to smile wider. she’d done pageants for as long as she knew, some days it felt like all she knew. but caroline had always been so much more than that.

throughout her childhood and teen years, she was rung throughout the competitive pageant circuit, everyone assuming it had been what she wanted to do. and maybe it had been, for a short time, but in between dress fittings and rehearsals, caroline had her head in the books, a surprise to anyone who saw it.

but having a practical job hadn’t been in the cards for care, who was homeschooled until she graduated, pageants becoming her full time job. she remembered arguing with her parents in her early teens, as silly as it was, that she wanted to be something beyond just beautiful. they turned their nose at it, acting as if caroline had purposely wasted all their money that had been put into her ‘future.’ she hadn’t wanted to hurt her parents, so she stuck around, smiling for the judges and telling everyone what they wanted to hear. she’d gotten awful good at that too, reading people, knowing just what they wanted her to say. it became a second nature to her, even if it wasn’t quite the same as lying. perhaps the only time she felt herself telling the truth was when she was on stage, ironic as it is. 

at age 21, it finally happened. it had been what everyone was waiting for, caroline had been crowned miss england, chosen to go onto compete in the miss world competition. everyone in her life was ecstatic for her, everyone except her, of course. maybe it was the reality that had set in, the reality that if she went on, this would become her life. she’d remain a pageant girl, known for that and nothing else. but there were no good words to say, no words that would explain that caroline wanted out, while keeping everyone else happy. 

caroline couldn’t have been more relieved to lose the miss world competition. even if she had placed in the top 15, there was something about the event, seeing the tears stream down her mother’s eyes that gave her the guts to tell her that she was leaving it all behind, london included.

when caroline returned home following the show, she packed her bags and moved to manchester, enrolling herself into university, going on to later get her law degree, using the money she’d earned from placing. naturally, she got a few looks here and there, but caroline was more than determined to show that she was far more than just a pretty girl

has an older brother!! he plays for manchester united, though the two have never been very close considering how busy caroline was growing up ( wanted connection )

definitely has a weird relationship with her parents. they get along, but under the surface you can tell that there’s a lot of tension and caroline has a bit of resentment towards them for dictating her life for so long

Samuel was raised by beatrice and patrick whitford, both of which were primary school teachers. both of them preached about the importance of getting a good education but Sam wasn’t dedicated to his studies the way his parents wanted him and his younger sister Karina to be. 

Despite not being interested in school, he eventually decided to attend university where history was his preferred area of study. he didn’t know what he’d be able to do after finishing so he spend quite some time unemployed, working as a bartender and waiter for a few years. between bartending and waiting tables, he drew caricatures for a few pounds at a beach near Middlesbrough. drawing was one of his favorite hobbies that he was actually somewhat good at growing up.

being a responsible adult with a stable/steady job was never one of his biggest concerns either until he let his sister move in with him a few months after he moved to Manchester. His sister aspired to be a musician and while he was supportive of her, it was hard for her to get gigs in a city where aspiring musicians seemed to walk the streets day and night. because of that, she found it difficult to provide her part of rent and Sam never had it in his heart to demand otherwise.

while working at a luxury hotel in the city (waiter shit) he began to get acquainted with a woman (Ella) that was a museum director. the two started off having small talk whenever he’d bring her drinks during business lunches to full on conversations about some of the historical artifacts at the museum she worked for. between conversations about her favorite marble bust of Nero and her travels, they began seeing each other outside the hotel, leading to a sexual relationship that didn’t last very long. Ella confessed she was engaged and would be moving to paris. although the sexual chemistry was undeniable, and they talked well into the night often their trysts ended

Sam didn’t care for Ella romantically, it hadn’t felt more than just friends with benefits so when the day came for her to finally leave, he wished her the best. Before her departure, she helped him get his foot in the door of the museum she’d be leaving behind as well. eventually Sam took over the role of head curator for the museum which he still works for.

since Ella’s departure, he’s seen many women come and go from his life but he’s never felt truly connected to any of them, beginning to think that he’s only going to provide a good time here and there without really finding love, which he’s 100000% okay with.

-She watched all of her foster siblings, who became her friends, be adopted while she was left behind so she eventually got it in her mind that she was not worthy of being loved--after all her birth parents dumped her off and everyone she grew close to left her as well

-She began bartending at 18, and shortly after met a woman who introduced her to the world of escorting, which earned her enough money to finally leave Brazil and travel around for a few years.
