For the ask game (book edition) : 2, 11, 17, and 25? :)
2. ur fav genre?
Difficult, but I think it's still Fantasy. I don't think I'll ever get past the magic and cool creatures and all the impossible things. And the clever ways to snark about reality via fantasy (thanks, Terry Pratchett!). Also, a lot of Fantasy inherits what mythology has left behind, and I love seeing centuries- and millennia-old stories being reborn and reintegrated.
11. the best book u have ever read?
Uhm. I don't think I can answer that question, to be honest. I love a variety of books for a variety of reasons... and I'm too lazy to pick a favorite among the modern ones, so fuck it, you get my lame favorite German classic: Friedrich Schiller's Kabale & Liebe, and no, I'm not gonna apologize.
17. a book to get u out of a reading slump?
If only I knew. I'm in a reading slump rn, and I'm trying out a few things to figure it out. Candidates are: Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles - fun and easy-to-consume YA literature; some Discworld - bit more challenging, but reliables faves; Marc-Uwe Kling's Känguru-Chroniken - the very small bits and fun slice-of-life format are going easy on my short attention span; and Karsten Dusse's Achtsam Morden - recommended from several sides as real fun, and I do have a soft spot for crime mysteries.
25. a book that had u bawling ur eyes out?
I'll give you three, out of sheer protest against those "one book that" questions. But they're all Discworld because I'm basic, so: Wee Free Men, The Wintersmith, and Reaper Man. GAWD, these books. All the emotions.
