Just play Ark: Survival evolved, I promise it is waayyyy better than Palworld looks wise and it has a vague story and it's not from nft+ai art people. That, too, has guns. It's the exact same game cycle from what I can tell.

Oh you want monster tamers? Nexomon. Nexomon:Extinction. Cassette Beasts. I'm not a fan of Coromon but that's an option too. Moonstone Island. There's a lot of them that are cool and have probably better stories to tell

.... And in most cases you can buy them and ark and it'll be cheaper

(Just to be clear I am ripping on it because of devs doing things and usually abandoning EA games, but if you liked it because you sailed the seas, go ahead. Or even if you didn't, your choice in the end, have fun with whatever, but it's far from my cup of tea)

My poor boy became blind. How did it happen?

Some point when Rapunzel and co are gone. Chemicals land up exploding in his face, and despite countless reminders to put his goggles on in the past (because it's been fine before, why wouldn't it be now?), it lands up taking his eyesight.

Varian occasionally thinks about how many times he was reminded before that incident. He's already partly used to it by the time Rapunzel sees him again. (By the way, just in case folks need clarification, "the one time it wasn't fine" is supposed to represent that whole incident.)
