Hello!! Coming to visit your blog from ao3 lol - I love the way you write Bond and Q!! As for distractions I personally love trying to create a playlist for characters - specifically what they would listen to! Bond I think would publicly be a person who listens to blues and jazz but secretly enjoys American 70s type beats. The first time ABBA appears on one of Q’s curated mission playlists on the Aston Martin for him he’s torn between being known (horrible and slightly terrifying) and being known (feeling so so loved). Q on the other hand is one of those people whose all over the place music wise. One time Moneypenny caught him falling asleep to soft Spanish love songs (a la Rosana or Soraya) in his office. Another time the entirety of Q-Branch got blazingly drunk to the dulcet beats™️ of his dua lipa and megan thee stallion playlist. He argues with Mallory over which classical maestro is the best, and has a favorite opera. But I bet his favorite genre right now is Motown - because slow dancing with Bond in their kitchen to Al Green is slowly becoming one of his favorite activities.

Omg I love all of these headcanons. Especially that Motown/soul one about them dancing in the kitchen. Also, Bond being an ABBA man ties in so flawlessly with Pierce Brosnan being a Mamma Mia man that it feels like it should be canon!

What made you decide your OCs names/what do their names mean?

Sivonne Alessandra Thawne: Sivonne is a bastardized version of the name Siobhan that 14-year-old me heard for the first time, and I thought it sounded cool. Alessandra, their middle name, means "Defender of men" and I thought that worked pretty well for her.

Jason Luca Barron: Jason means "Healer", Luca means "Light". It works pretty well for his personality.

Cassandra Addison Stevens: Name chosen at random based on vibes.

Hailey Tuyet Laurence: "Hailey" chosen at random based on vibes, means "hay's meadow" and "Tuyet" is Vietnamese for "snow".

Jessica Esmeralda Wells: Jessica was just chosen to establish her as the E-2002 version of Jesse Wells, and Esmeralda means "emerald". It was just chosen at random.

Regina Maria Rivera: "Regina Maria" is a reference to her family's Catholic faith, meaning "Queen Mary", which refers to Mary, mother of Jesus.

Ember Mallory Del Rosario: Name chosen at random based on vibes.

Aryazana'canwr'mwyar'nos: Aryazana doesn't mean anything, I made up the name myself, and "canwr mwyar nos" means "Night Singer" in Welsh, a reference to her abilities from being half Siren. Her human name, Arya, means "Illustrious".

Catherine Danielle "Cat" Stewart: Name chosen at random based on vibes.

Kyle Nolan Spencer: Name chosen at random based on vibes.

Maxwell Samuel Seng: Name chosen at random based on vibes.

Lydia Angeline Hawke: Lydia was chosen at random, Angeline was chosen because it is a name similar to that of one of my most difficult coworkers.

Meredith Nadia Alatorre: Name chosen at random based on vibes.

Kelsie Saoirse Gupta-O'Riordan: "Kelsie" chosen at random, "Saoirse" chosen because it means "Freedom" and is relevant to her role in-universe as Siv's therapist.

Delilah the Cat: Named after the biblical Delilah, a cunning woman who uses trickery to get what she wants (like a tiny half-feral kitten lmao)

Penelope Lowe: Name chosen at random based on vibes

Jessica Marina Wells: "Jessica" establishes her as E-2022's Jesse Wells, and "Marina" was based on "Marina and the Diamonds", one of my favorite musicians.

Moon Hyun-Ki: Hyun-Ki means "Clever" and I thought that would be a good narrative choice because he keeps trying to outwit Jessi and would be able to if she wasn't OP af.

Qiara Lucia Bradshaw: Qiara as an alternate spelling of "Kiara", but with a Q since she technically doesn't have a real name, she's just "Q". Lucia was chosen because it means "Light".

Marie Kiyoko Kaneyama: Marie chosen because it means "Bitterness" and Marie's one of my Angst Blanket OCs, "Kiyoko" after "Hayley Kiyoko", aka Lesbian Jesus.

Liah Amina Abdul: "Liah" was chosen because it sounds vaguely similar to some other Cardassian names, (It also means "delicate" so that's an extra bonus), Amina was chosen because it means "Faithful".

Soraya Farwah Al-Sharif: Named after a couple of close friends I had in middle school.

Thalia Xanthe Sylvan: "Thalia" after Thalia Grace of the Percy Jackson novels, "Xanthe" after one of the mythical Amazon warriors.

Athena Stonehenge: Not her real name, but was chosen because it's giving "Mysterious, wise, and cunning". Her real name, however, is Mollie, and she will kill you if you call her that.

Laila/Experiment 669: Laila is Arabic for "Dark night", which is a homophone for "Dark Knight", aka Sith lmao. Her experiment number is a cross between "666" and "69" because I am very mature.

Reyna Blazestar: Chosen because it sounds like some 13 year old's power fantasy Mary Sue OC name, which it technically is, because Reyna uses a fake name to distance herself from her abusive stepmother.

Aldrich Tobias Morgan: Name chosen at random based on vibes.

Samira Nasrin Yazdani: Name chosen at random based on vibes.

Sohelia Morgan Yazdani: "Sohelia" means star, and I thought that'd be funny because Vampires and the sun, y'know? And Morgan as her middle name is a subtle way of giving her father's last name without outing her as half-vampire.

Vanessa Leah Wolf: Name chosen at random based on vibes, HOWEVER, her last name, Wolf, was chosen because she gets transformed into a monster by a mad scientist and I thought that was subtle and fitting for her.

🎄 Christmas plans for my muses 2020🎄

Gisele 

Usually she'd go to Disney's but after their last encounter and argument, and considering the current bender she's on. She will legit fall off the face of the earth and probably pass out Christmas eve and wake in a ditch somewhere 😂 (that's dark) nah she'll probably wake up like in Tric with all the booze still on shelves and building work Alf started. And then she'll drag herself home and stay there.

Holly

Christmas eve day she'll watch Christmas movies with Haley & Adrian, mainly to keep Haley busy while her parents finish last minute prep. And then the evening will be getting ready for Santa with her and tucking her into bed. Once she's asleep though, she might pop out to see her friends, Soraya or grab a quick drink with Adrian. Christmas day is spent with Haley and her parents. Boxing day she'll be around if anyone wanted to get her out

Mallory

She saw anastasia & the girls today! But she'll probably end up at Ruby's on Christmas eve evening but head back to hers and danica's late so if she's still there She can go to sleep with her. She didn't want to invite herself to danica's family because they don't know her yet, so shed stay home with danica if she's around but if she went to see family, then mal would end up back at Ruby's just so she wasn't alone.

Kendall

Christmas eve is her wrapping day so she'd spend the entire day/evening wrapping, roping mason into helping and then kicking him out when she got to his presents :') when she was finished and mason went out with the guys, she'd probably go over to Disney's with wine and would help her out with any last minute setting up! And then Christmas day will be with the hamiltons/Carmichaels/Barhams at disney and brody's with everyone.

Olivia

Bolivia's Christmas eve is spend you g out and getting drunk, it's one of the biggest party nights of the year in her opinion so she'll go all out! (PLOTS!?) And she'll head to her parents place early Christmas morning/late Christmas eve to be there in the morning to fight off the hangover. And then just follow them to Disney's.

Felicity

She'll be out Christmas eve but Christmas day and boxing day, she'll probably be glued to her dad's side the whole time. Making him bake with her and getting him drinks and just being "daddy's little girl" lmao

Everleigh

She's not big on Christmas because Christmas in a foster home was 💩 growing up. But she'll be super happy to spend a quiet Christmas with Kristofer. But she'll 100% carve out time to see Zara, probably tonight. Maybe take her out for dinner/drinks.

Riley

Family family family! But she will be out tonight, probably with !!Frankie!! Having drinks and just out for a good time (PLOTS?!"

Tonight she'll defo head out but she'll probably want to spend the night with Louis either way so she'll find him wherever he is at some point. But tomorrow she'll probably be with family but would potentially split time with them and louis/his family if she was welcome

Listen. He'll be on his own for the most part unless he gets a last minute invite. He'll be out tonight 100% and probably sleep in hella late tomorrow morning lol but he'd stop by Soraya's just to see her and julian and drop of some presents for them/her family but he wouldn't stay long. He'd also make a trip to drop off presents for Madison & Amy. He also plans to see Brielle on boxing day (he hasn't told her this yet) but he wants to do something special for her.

Julian

Wherever Soraya is, Julian shall be! Especially tonight because it's their engagement anniversary (OMG) so he'll do something special for her and then maybe see if she wanted to go out for a couple hours after her sister went to bed. But other than that, he'll be with her the whole time.

Leo

He's out tonight too (PLOTS?!) But he's hella I doghouse tbh so he'd probably head home to harper not too late and would grovel just to make his life easier tomorrow with all the family lol

He only his nana so he'll probably be with her tonight and get her to sleep and only go out after and wouldn't be for long either (PLOTS?!)

One Trick Pony rewatch

One Trick Pony rewatch; Heartland episode 1x06

This week on _______________ is not happy... 

- Lou and Scott working together to give shots to the chicken in the chicken coop is too adorable. I seeing these cute day-to-day scenes. But then... Carl is here, with a new job! Scott is not happy. Kind of feel bad for him.

- There’s a new trick named Pirate... and he isn’t listening to the traditional command. That’s because he’s trained by verbal signals, and speaks cowboy! And he’s a trickriding horse! (Pirate Commands: Get Along, Giddy Up, Whoa, Yeehaw, Oopsie Daisie)

- Mallory’s assessment on Scott about Lou is totally on point. Also I love Amy’s hair in this episode, it looks so good wavy.

- Carl is staying with Ty in the loft. Ty is not happy. 

- Amy is roped into taking Carl out on a horse for a trail ride. She also finds out Carl set up an interview for a job in Chicago and that Lou might leave. Amy is also not happy.

- Carl takes Pirate without permission, not knowing about his “special abilities.” He accidentally says Whoa and falls into mud. Lou finds out Amy “tried to kill Carl” while letting him ride pirate.. even though everyone know it’s not the truth. Amy, Carl and Lou are not happy. But for different reasons. But atleast he discovers two of pirates commands! (Oopsie Daisie, Yeehaw)

- Carl triggers the “alarm system”, aka the duck when sneaking out to meet Lou late at night. And he also asks for Lou’s hand in marriage. Jack and Carl are not happy. 

- Lou tries to bake a cake for Grandpa Jack’s birthday, but it isn’t going so well. Lou is not happy (until she learns that Marion used pre-made icing)

- Carl proposes to Lou, but there’s no ring! Mallory forgot to put it back by accident, but thankfully she finds it, and then finds out that Carl arranged this whole interview; and it’s partly because he told them he was getting married! Lou says no and Carl leaves. Lou and Carl are not happy, BUT everyone else is! 

- Lou changes it to pellets from cubes, but Soraya thinks that it was a mistake and orders cubes anyways. Only in Hudson.

- Episode ends as Amy is trick riding and the entire fam, including Scott celebrates Grandpa Jack’s birthday!

Possible foreshadowing:

- Ty: “Looks like an oil man” ; foreshadowing the entrance of Peter?

- Carl: “When I was younger, my parents took me out to a dude ranch every summer?” ; foreshadowing the dude ranch?

“This show is WAY too white. The characters of colour never seem to hang around for long. Characters like Soraya, Adam, even Scott, just never got a lot of screen time and were always eventually pushed out so the white leads could have relationships with other white people. There also never seems to be then one POC on the show at any one time unless they were a parent/child combination. It's just kinda disheartening in 2021.“

Cassandra: Would interrogate Mallorie to find out why she's on E-2002

Esme: Would try to get Mallorie to go out with her and her girls to try to get her plastered, see what she's really like, and analyze whether she's a threat or not

Arya: Immediately gets bad vibes off her, gives her a bag of gummy dicks, then they tell her to go eat said bag of dicks

Ember: Immediately gets bad vibes, tells the bouncer (Siv) to keep her out of her club

“I felt Seasons 1-6 were the best ones.  The relationship between Ty and Amy seemed more genuine then. They also had more fun with each other and their friends - Soraya, Ashley and Caleb.  Mallory was also a gem of a character, bringing a lot of comic relief to the show. I loved the water fight that Ty, Amy, Mallory and Caleb had during the heat wave in one of the episodes in Season 2. I also really enjoyed the subtle way in which Jack showed his affection for Mallory.   I feel that Mallory was treated with disrespect by the other characters. 

Season 7 onwards does not have the same magic as the earlier seasons, perhaps because Graham Wardle began to lose interest in his character or the introduction of the Georgie storyline.  Graham said in an interview after his trip to Mongolia that he had spoken to the writers about changes to the storylines and Ty’s character beyond horse stories.  But I think that didn’t happen because there was such a negative reaction from the fans about the Mongolia story. Also, the focus of the show was horses, as it was in the books.  At any rate, Ty and Amy, along with Jack remained at the heart of the show.  I feel the loss of Ty will be hard to recover from, although the writers have done well in showing Amy’s grief.  Not so good at showing grief from the other characters.”

“It's so funny to me that Ashley and Soraya are considered such big parts of Heartland when they weren't even around for half of the shows run. Even Mallory wasn't on Heartland full time by the time she finally left.“
