This vacation has been really nice but I can physically feel my Tolerance-For-My-Family meter filling up

Sobbing late at night because I’m leaving Mallorca tomorrow and my host family are the best ever ever. And I’m not crying because I’ll miss them, but because I’m simply just feeling so loved, and emotional about the fact.

To be domestically loved by a stranger, and kissed on the cheek by someone else’s mother. Of not speaking someone’s language, yet eating their food and sleeping in their bed. Of being given something, home made just for you. Of being loved in a way that transcends any barriers. Languages, blood and deservance. Unconditionally and generously.

Of being loved in a moment, for no other reason than the fact that you exist. And of knowing there’s someone out there, across the sea, who loves you all the same. Someone who will love you for all eternity, and who cannot wait for you to return.
