He was teasing but truly she did look done up today. As pretty as always but he could see the care that had been taken with her hair and make up. Not the usual Mal that he got to see wandering the halls. His dark eyebrows rose in curiosity. “Have a date, do we?”

Uma couldn’t hide her grin as she chuckled at Mal’s words.        BARRY’S A FRIENDLY PERSON. He tries to be with everyone --- especially the people his age. They all know what he’s been through, and they don’t always extend the same kindness, but years alone faced by darkness have put a light in his soul that flickers but stays lit. It’s why he tries his best to befriend the Villain Kids when they come over, because he GETS IT. Well, there might be ulterior motives, but they probably have their own too. Who is he to judge? 

       HE JUST HAS SO many questions. Mal was the one that could give him the answers he needed. Using EVERY BIT OF COURAGE he had left, he approached her outside while she was flipping through a book. Here goes nothing!   “Hey, Mal? I don’t want to be annoying or anything, but do you think I could ask you some questions about the isle?”

“do you think the bullshit ever really stops? even with therapy and stuff?” it’s a big and serious question - not the kind of thing that he usually does. harvey isn’t a big fan of talking about his feelings or his emotions, even less a fan of talking about his trauma because it’s disgusting and he hates it. he hates having feelings and emotions. “’cause it’d be real nice if it just, stopped one day.”
