You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see WESLEY ZHENG walking around Providence. The TWENTY-TWO year old BOY makes his living by being a STRIPPER and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for HARRY SHUM JR. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
The New York skies were a faded blue, littered with clouds and chirping birds with the hustle and bustle of a big city below them, and the hospital room in which a family of three were stuck in was soon filled with breathy cries — in what seemed like the blink of an eye, they became a family of four. On August 25th of 1994, the last child and only boy of Kuan-Yin Zheng and Lee Zheng was born. Ever since they found out about their pregnancy, months after immigrating into the United States from China with their daughter, the pair had brainstormed through a plethora of Westernized names to give their son. It wasn’t until weeks before his birth that they settled on Wesley.
Despite the hardships that the Zheng family initially faced in terms of employment, money and happily settling down into their new neighborhood, Wesley brought immense amounts of joy into the small, two bedroom apartment that they called home. From a young age, Kuan-Yin would boast that his son was perfect — he was bubbly, intelligent, friendly, and everything that he could have ever wanted in a son that he would eventually pass the family name down onto. But there was only one problem. After Wesley passed through elementary and middle school with flying colors, he began to realize that the pedestal that his father placed him on was extremely far fetched.
He was different from the other kids. While the boys played rough sports like football and soccer, Wesley was more interested in the performing arts. He signed up for the drama club in his freshman year and landed several roles in the school plays and musicals, along with the chorus club in his junior year where he sang at every concert ever since. While he was told that this girl was hot or he should go after that girl and date her, Wesley found his eyes lingering more towards the boys who were taunting and teasing him. Speculation went around the school that he was gay simply for being involved in drama and chorus, like many of the boys he befriended also faced, but it wasn’t until then that he realized that it was true. He was different from the other kids — he was loud, flamboyant, obnoxious at times, and gay.
He kept his sexuality a secret from his parents for the rest of his high school career, knowing that Kuan-Yin especially would not agree - he barely agreed with the fact that his son wasn’t playing sports like the other boys, there was no chance that he would agree that he likedthose boys. And it was hard. Often times he’d go out on dates with boys while his parents were at work, or bring them over with the allusion that they would be hanging out in the backyard when in reality they’d be doing things less than appropriate where others couldn’t see. He couldn’t even count on one hand how many times he nearly got caught by his parents or his sister. But he made it work.
Once high school flew by and he was graduating almost effortlessly, Kuan-Yin began to push his colleges of choice onto Wesley in the hopes that he would study to become a successful doctor, lawyer or businessman. While he did have no problem with academics, he knew that he didn’t want to involve himself in a career that he would be preparing the majority of his adulthood for and ultimately never enjoy. And with the lingering thoughts of his preforming arts background in his head, he knew that he wanted to become a dancer; it was a hobby that he took up alongside his plays, musicals and concerts and one that he quickly grew skilled in. It was obvious that he would be a natural at running a studio or choreographing numbers for competitions.
The most difficult part about that, though, was that it was another thing among the stacking list that his father would not agree with. But if he didn’t break the news, he would be stuck going to an Ivy League school with his family’s breath constantly down the back of his neck. So days following his graduation, right before his father made the final decision for him, Wesley sat his parents down and told them everything — that he was gay, that he didn’t want to become someone that he did not enjoy, that he would rather dance than study medicine or the constitution for the rest of his life. As expected, Kuan-Yin was outraged, and his mother was disappointed more than anything; his sister came home to a screaming match between the three and unbeknownst to her, that was the last time that she would see her brother in the flesh for the next four years at least.
On a whim, Wesley packed up what belongings were most important to him and scrapped together whatever money he had been saving (plus the generous donations from some of his friends) in order to buy a plane ticket out of state. A hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina became his home for the first week he flew in. But it was soon that he could no longer pay for his stay there and he suddenly became desperate for cash, anything that would help him with the roof over his head. That was when he stumbled into The Scorpio, and as he noticed that they were in a need of some boys to work their poles, he jumped at the offer and made more money in a week than he did his entire life back in New York. And he was dancing, which had been his only request all along.
Four years later, after having happily earned his living giving dances to middle-aged men with extra bills to spare and moving into an apartment all his own, he decided to up and move again to Providence, Rhode Island after having met Maxwell Tucker: his boyfriend of ten months who needed the extra company on his journey to find his birth parents. Now he’s been eagerly supporting the both of them in their dual apartment and living a life that his father never would have dreamed of.
--- PERSONALITY.
Wesley had never been a very shy kid. Due to all the performing he’s done throughout high school, he’s easily become very sociable and friendly. He’s easy to get along with, so long as you don’t cross him the wrong way; in the event that you ridicule his sense of style, his personality, or anybody that he holds close to him, he can become rather snarky and nothing but sassy remarks or exaggerated expressions will come from him. But otherwise, automatically he puts everybody on his good list. He likes to help, and hates to see others in bad moods --- because of this, though, often times he can be seen as overbearing and obnoxious for how obsessive he can get with befriending you. However, no harm is meant. Overall, he makes a good friend or a bad enemy.

For one year, twenty-one year old River Erikson has been living in New York City, but has only been back for a couple of weeks . He is currently a Visual Art student at New York University and also works at Letters as a sales associate. You can find him living in apartment number 4B.
background: tw physical abuse
River was born to the Erikson’s. He doesn’t remember much about his birth family, nor their names. All he knows is his father was a policeman who was killed during a drug raid when River was around one years old. His mother tried her best to keep the family afloat, but fell into a deep depression losing her husband. Not even her son was reason enough to keep going. Just a few months after losing his father, River’s mother followed and left the toddler an orphan. With no other family to take care of him, River was subjected to the foster care system. He went from house to house, family to family. Some foster homes were kind and well kept. They weren’t a problem for him. But others still make River shudder at the thought. Especially one in particular.
When River was eleven, he was dropped off on the doorsteps of Mr. and Mrs. James. The perfect white picket fence on the outside told a lie of what truly went on inside. River was abused physically and mentally. His room was a closet that he was locked in whenever food was being served. From fists to beer bottles, Mr. James used anything into scaring the boy and creating a servant out of him while Mrs. James laughed. They taunted him with water and scraps of food and shoving him outside during the winter to sleep. Yet whenever social workers came by, they showed him love and warmth. If he messed up or gave the social worker any suspicions, River would be beaten into an inch of his life. The school surely wasn’t any help. Instead of assisting the poor by, the school instead looked down at him as scum for his foster care past was an embarrassment to their upper class society. During these years, River was utterly and truly alone. It wasn’t until he was seventeen years old that he was taken out of the terrible home after one of his teachers grew a heart and decided to contact social services. The James’ were arrested, yet River fears they will someone find him everyday. He was moved across the country to California.
While in his new foster home, River’s gentle foster mother gave him a sketch pad. She told the young boy that he looked like an artist and that it would be the perfect outlet for him. Over time the passion grew. At first, it started with simple designs, something first graders could create. But then, River began to put his emotions into the drawings, giving them detail and meaning. It was his personal therapy. He would stay up late huddled under covers with a flashlight in his hand, drawing until his exhaustion took over. Soon art became River’s way of speech, instead of words. Where he lacked the ability to share and express who he really was through verbal communications he made up for with his art.
Wanting to get away from his past in the foster care system and the bonds that held him, he sent in an application to New York University and was accepted. Here he hoped to start a new life for himself. And stay in one place for a long time. That wouldn’t be long however, since River had found out his birth mother, who was ruled dead, was in fact alive and searching for him. After three months with her and missing his classes, River moved back to New York only with a new chapter in his story to tell.
personality:
River is very quiet and shy when he first meets someone. He tries his best to stay out of others’ way. Most of the time, River seems mature and anti social. However once he does get used to someone, which is rare, he’s quite talkative. His sense of humor and childish ways really come out after he is comfortable around someone. Loud sounds and yelling easily scare him, so he usually stays away from people like that unless he’s forced to be around them. Although River doesn’t get himself into physical quarrels, if someone does chose him to fight, he would rather run away than stay close. Physical touches frighten him and it takes a while for him to warm up to them.
It’s very easy for people to talk over River or talk more than him. In fact he embraces it whenever someone does. River is much more of a listener than a talker and is always open to someone sharing their day or ranting about it. Overall, River is quite kind and considerate towards others, which people overlook most of the time. He stays guarded and reserved most of the time, but will come out of his shell when he deems it is okay.
fun fact…
Whenever River feels himself in an awkward situation, usually ones that have conflict associated in them, he takes a step back and leans his head on the closest wall. This is his way of stopping a panic attack from occurring since getting into any physical conflict does that for him.
After meeting his mother, River became a lot more closed off than before; if that’s even possible. His trust in people he doesn’t know has completely soured and won’t talk to them first.
He has never once celebrated a birthday. Ever.

ULFRIK THORSON is the OLDEST child of the THORSON FAMILY. they’re 21 and they look strikingly like ALEXANDER LUDWIG upon becoming an agent they decided to take on the code name of THYRI
As the first born son of Thor, Ulfrik didn't want much, and still doesn't. He had his twin sister Torunn growing up, spending his days training with his weapons and his sister, spending his time in Asgard, as he believed that would be his one and only home. Yes he and Torunn still went down to Midgard sometimes such as for Yule (Or Christmas) with Aunt Darcy, but he never wanted to stay down there. Midgard was..primitive. Or at least it wasn't home.
Quickly he grew to become one of the best warriors of the world of Asgard, which nearly got his future planned for him. Never did he hold a large desire to take the throne after his father, he wanted to continue living out his days on the battlefield until he was set to go to Valhalla. With his sister by his side, of course.
They were inseparable, and always had been from the day they were born. Without hesitation, Ulfrik would kill for his sister, or kill if it pleased her. It was somewhat of a twisted bond, but it was who they were and who they would always be.
While his sister carried her sword, Brandr, Ulfrik carried an axe by the name of Stjarna (meaning Star) that was forged for him by the Dwarves, and a sword by the name of Fjôrsváfi (meaning Lifetaker) that he forged for himself. He dabbled in other weapons such as the spear and throwing knives, and while he does keep throwing knives on his person most of the time, he always stuck with his main two weapons when in battle.
SHIELD contacting their family about recruiting Ulfrik and Torunn for the new Avengers, Ulfrik said no right off the bat. The last thing he wanted to do was go work on Midgard with mortals with their small problems when there were other more important things to handle in the Nine. However with the convincing of his sister, he eventually agreed and went down.

Miles Armitage | 20 | Warlock | Long term resident.
Why?
Miles, being the brother to Sebastian, has the attitude of what he has become. After many years of living in North Tustin, it is no wonder that he constantly gets what he wants. Growing up with his father; and his step sibling and his biological sister, things seemed to be looking up, at least, that’s what he begun to believe. His father is the same father of Sebastian’s, therefore making them brothers by bloodline, yet brothers at heart too. Miles cares for his brother and sister more than most things, and will do any thing to protect them. Noticing his abilities didn’t leave him phased, his mother was a witch herself and he knew of the possibilities. His element is fire, therefore showing the rather devious nature that he obtains and manages to spice up even the most simplest of things. However knowing his limits was one of the hardest things, therefore meaning his powers are slightly out of control and he’s only just beginning to work out how control his abilities. However, being in North Tustin excites him because of the endless possibilities that are in store for him.
When?
He has always lived in North Tustin, at least, he remained there because of his half brother Sebastian. He is his brother at heart, no half sibling would be considered any less to him. However he knows that because of the fire that destroyed Sebastian’s home that there were unresolved issues between them because of him being a warlock himself.
What?
Deep down Miles doesn’t know what he wants from his life. His life is a mystery and a constant fued with each day that goes. He wants to spend more time with his mother; and take the magic he has and use it in his defence to make the vampires and werewolves truly afraid. He wants to show them what he is capable of, and show them

Isaac Lahey
Age: 19 | Sexuality: Sex is sex | Species: Werewolf
Isaac grew up in a small town with just his Father, his brother having joined the army when he was only young. It had been a relatively quiet up-bringing, until he turned fifteen, that is. Something in his Father seemed to have snapped, and he'd taken to punishing Isaac more than usual. He'd slap him in the face for getting a bad grade, he'd been pushed down the stairs once for forgetting to clean the dishes, and on occasion he'd been locked in the large freezer in the basement when his Father was in a particularly bad mood. Not long after Isaac had been bitten, he and his Father got in to a bad argument, and with his new found power Isaac finally decided to fight back. He didn't know his own strength when he slammed him in to the wall, and it didn't take long for the older man's heart to stop beating. So Isaac fled, fled with Derek and his pack. They don't know he's on the run, but he's just glad to be away.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see THEODORE RUTHERFORD walking around Providence. The TWENTY-TWO year old BOY makes his living by being a CFO OF RUTHERFORD INDUSTRIES and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for TOM MADEN. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
Theodore Angelo, or as he prefers, Teddy, was born into one of the most well known families throughout the business world. The sole heir to Rutherford Industries, Teddy was groomed from day one to take over his father’s place as CEO once he was old enough to take on the position. Teddy was sent to the best schools, had the opportunity to study abroad, and was given anything and everything he needed to grow and flourish.
At the peak of Teddy’s adolescence, just as he was about to commit to a university to attend, scandal broke throughout Rutherford Industries. Somehow, the media found out that back in 1965 when the company was founded, old drug money was used to build everything from the ground up. Investors began pulling their stock, the company went bankrupt, and Teddy’s family lost their fortune. With the Rutherford name now disgraced, Teddy’s college offers were now off the table, with no schools allowing him to study for free, like he was originally intending to do. Teddy refused to quit, though and one night while he was playing a pick up game of football with his friends, he was approached by a college student about an opportunity to make some quick cash. That was when teddy began fighting.
It started with small fights here and there, for only a couple of hundred dollars a piece. As months passed, Teddy started moving up in the ranks. He found that in addition to keeping his wealth, fighting also helped him keep his sanity. It was something fun. In a dull world of luncheons and business meetings, fighting kept Teddy feeling alive.
As his notability in the world of underground fighting grew from nothing, so did Rutherford Industries. Press releases were made, investors brought back their money, and new management was hired to ensure nothing as serious as the previous scandal would ever break again. Among the new management was Teddy Rutherford, a twenty-two year old senior at Brown University as the chief financial officer of Rutherford Industries. He’d always been a wiz kid, and the fact that he’d found a way to pay for his education on his own was incredibly impressive to his father. Because of this, Teddy is the youngest chief officer in the company’s history. Though Teddy has his power, prestige, and wealth back, he refuses to stop fighting. By day he’s mature and composed, by night, teddy comes alive. He sees no reason to change his ways.
--- PERSONALITY.
Teddy is an incredibly fun loving, easy going guy. He’s a natural born leader, fitting as he is the CFO for Rutherford Industries as well as president of his fraternity at Brown University. He prefers not to be tied down by anyone, as he doesn’t want anyone disapproving of his night life or trying to change his habits. While he loves to party and spend time with friends, he’s very serious about his work. Teddy is one of the more hands-on members of the team at Rutherford Industries and often comes up with creative solutions to solve problems. He is perfectly fine with how things are in his life and refuses to change. After the change he went through at seventeen, he feels he’s had enough for a lifetime.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see SETH NIEWOOD walking around Providence. The NINETEEN year old BOY makes his living by working at THE PROVIDENCE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for CODY CHRISTIAN. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
Seth was lucky. He grew up in Pawtucket to an incredibly loving home. When he came out to his parents when he was twelve years old, his parents were entirely supportive. He grew up as a happy, carefree child with minimal worries. His parents were divorced but they were on good terms. Seth grew up with his mother and his step-mother and his brother and three half-siblings. His father lived in North Kingstown, not too far away, with his new wife and two step-daughters. Seth had a fairly large family and he loved it.
When he was eighteen years old he attended URI. Even though he lived very close to the school, his mother wanted him to move on campus so that he would be able to gain the college-experience. Once he moved, he became heavily involved in the Providence LGBT community, and often volunteered at the local center.
One year, during PrideFest, he met this fourteen-year-old girl. He was surprised that she was on her own at such a young age, especially at such a busy parade like PrideFest. He also noticed how shy and out of place she looked. He went over to her and with a smile on his face introduced himself. He found out that she came from a very strict family who didn’t approve of who she was. Seth’s heart went out to this girl. He kept tabs on her and he became a mentor to this girl. He realized from that day on that he wanted to be a teacher, to be an inspiration to other kids the same that he was to this girl. He changed his major to education and he took up a job at the Providence Children’s Museum so he could spend more time with kids. He often volunteers his time visiting kids at Memorial or Hasbro Hospital and reading to kids at Rochambeau Library, as well as continuing his volunteering at the LGBT center.
--- PERSONALITY.
Seth is a very outgoing friendly character. He cares deeply about everyone he meets which can sometimes lead him to being a martyr. He has a smile for everyone he greets and meets. He’s in love with kids. Since he grew up in such a nice home, he can sometimes be naive about the harshness of the world. But he’s always trying to decrease his ignorance.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see RYAN SALINGER walking around Providence. The EIGHTEEN year old BOY is a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for DANIEL SHARMAN. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
On August 5, 1997, Providence's golden boy, Ryan Salinger, was born. Since Noah Salinger was elected to the officer of mayor in 1953, the Salinger name has meant a lot throughout the city. After Noah, his son Michael was elected, then Ryan's father, Nathan. The birth of Ryan was an exciting time for Providence. After all, with the family's track record, he could have very well been their next mayor. From birth, Ryan was welcomed into the city as though he was a member of everyone's family. There were announcements made in the paper, covered dishes sent to his family's home, and play dates for months in advance were already being planned. Ryan was a happy baby. After all, how couldn't he be?
Once the excitement from his arrival into the world died down a bit, Ryan lead a pretty normal life. However, being the mayor's son, he was involved in just about every community event that his parents could throw him into. He volunteered at animal shelters, sang in the choir at church, and helped little old ladies cross the street. Ryan was ten when he got his first job. Though his family was loaded, a strong work ethic was expected of him, so he went to help his dad in the city hall building. He mainly ran around to get coffee and snacks for everyone around the office, highlighted important documents, and assisted on small projects. But he was paid five dollars an hour, and for a ten year old, Ryan felt pretty accomplished.
Having such a stellar childhood, though, lead Ryan into a rough adolescence. He'd been outshining other kids for so long that everyone expected him to just keep getting better and better. Ryan was running out of new things to do. He'd always been fairly athletic, so when his freshman year came, he decided to sign up for the football team. That was where he met his best friend, Lucas Gilmore. Ryan found a passion for the game and started to feel less like it was a chore to please his peers and more so something for him to enjoy. He really needed something just for him.
As football became more important, Ryan started to slack off in other aspects of his life, like working at city hall. As years had passed, Ryan did much more than just fetch coffee. He became a valuable asset in his father's office. Since his father refused to hire anyone else, and Ryan could no longer handle the work load, Nathan had to start doing everything himself. This lead to a lot more whiskey than he'd previously had after a long day, and Ryan soon began feeling the effects of this when he got home at night. It started with a few vocal remarks, then things began getting physical. A punch here, a kick there. At one point Ryan got a full bottle of scotch thrown at him, the glass cracking on the wall and landing on his face. It was after that incident that Ryan realized that he needed to try harder. Instead of just dedicating his time to football, he continued at city hall, he started going back to church, and he kept helping those little old ladies cross the street.
--- PERSONALITY.
Ryan is a people pleaser, through and through. He'll bend over backwards to make anyone happy. He often likes to let loose after a hard days work, and has a large friend group that he can choose from so that he's never alone. He hates spending time alone and often finds himself crashing on friends' couches or staying over at his grandparents' house. While he's got a fairly gentle personality, Ryan is incredibly competitive, one of the reasons why he loves football so much.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see RUMOR ROSE walking around Providence. The NINETEEN year old BOY is UNEMPLOYED and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for LOGAN LERMAN. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
Hailing from the city of neon and chrome a woman tried her best to survive in this world. A sex worker, so petite, so young that one would not think this would be the lifestyle she once wished for herself. Out of necessity and not of pleasure this once young and fragile girl battles through each day, earning money, spending it, until the vices grasp her and she can run no more. But in spite of all her plights she managed to smile, and in one of her clients she found love, one that bloomed and grew with each passing day. With good news come the bad, and with her newfound joy in life, brittle news managed to topple it off the edge. The girl was HIV positive and she didn’t know what to do, but the love she found helped her, and together they thought they could endure this. With time she fell back into old habits and continued with her vices, and not even the man she fell for could stop this, all he could do was watch as the woman he fell for crumbled away piece by piece. They were beautifully scarred, beautifully flawed, and they were a family, one that was growing. When the girl found out she was pregnant a mix of hope and fear set in. She was going to be a mother, but was she fit to be a mother? How would they provide for the child, when they could barely keep themselves on their feet? Would the baby be HIV positive as well?
Luckily enough Rumor Jael was born, and with no trace of the disease. They had dodged a bullet and then gathered themselves and tried to fight the world for their child. But the mother’s health was slowly declining, the disease robbing her of her time. They were just kids, and now they were parents, in the streets of New York a family so young, so frail, but ever so hopeful. Yet they didn’t know of the mother’s disease well enough to know that they shouldn’t breast feed, but they didn’t have money, so what choice did they have? Rumor was at no fault that his father left, the boy just couldn’t bear seeing the woman people he loved die because of AIDS. A girl all alone with a child, and not knowing where to go went to the one person she used to call her best friend, another girl from high school, someone that he once used to trust. She gave Rumor to the woman, and she agreed to take care of him, and shortly after this the woman received the news that Rumor’s mom had died. Rumor Jael Rose, grew up a loved child, as his mother the mother he knew gave him the best that she could with what little she had. Rumor never knew a place for too long as they were always moving due to financial issues. And along the road the boy’s condition took a turn, one curve ball that would provoke the new mother to make a stable home for the boy. Pulmonary Hypertension, it was rare but it was evident that Rumor had it.
Rumor carried around an oxygen tank ever since he was little, and from a very young age he was told that he was special. In some ways he was, as he saw the world in bright colors and always carried a smile, never having ill feelings for someone. The boy was not the brightest student and he did have help, and that’s the only possible explanation given to how he was able to pass some classes, let alone advance grades.
It seemed that people pitied him, and felt sorry that such a young person would have to go through such a terrible thing by no fault of his own. But that never deterred him. They didn’t have enough money to attend this school, but by Rumor’s mom working at the school he was allowed to attend the establishment, at it was here that he discovered he could write beautiful songs.
What he lacked in intellect he made up in whimsy, Rumor was one who didn’t have many friends, but always managed to put a smile on other’s faces. Whether it was through his own ridicule, or anything he might’ve said to them. He knows he might die at any moment, which is why he prefers to live out his days with a smile plastered on his face. He loves his mom, and sometimes this puts him at odds with other students, as they ridicule the woman because of her weight, and Rumor doesn’t know why this happens, or how people could be so cruel.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see RAFAEL MORALES walking around Providence. The EIGHTEEN year old BOY is a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for ALBERTO ROSENDE. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
Rafael Morales was born to a religious family, which explains why his name means “God Heals.” His mother and father were immigrants from Spain, who were allowed to live in Providence after his father was able to get a job in a factory where his family would be making more money than they were making in Italy. His father was only 24 years old when he and his wife were moved to Rhode Island – which was miles away from anyone and everyone they knew back in Spain. The move provided economic and better opportunities, so his parents thought it was the right decision and God’s apparent well with the chance being proposed while his father went into work one day. They waited until they were in their late 20s to have children, with Rafael being the first born and their “new rebirth in the great country of America. When Rafael turned eight his parents gave birth to his younger brother, Riccardo – who would ultimately end up in Rafael’s care. Rafael doesn’t remember much about but he remember them constantly working and always relying on the oldest child to do day-to-day activities such as taking care of his brother, translating whenever his parents needed any form of assistance, cleaning, and even learning to cook basic meals as his mother taught him. He grew up with an already big sense of dependency, which would be needed when an unexpected tragedy struck.
The hurricane is something that Rafael remembers in great detail, and is often a recurring nightmare for him to this very day. His mother had woken him up form a nap, telling his family that they all needed to gather in the bathroom as a terrible storm was approaching. Their family lived in a poorly built housing structure and relied on public transportation so they had no options other than staying in their home and praying for the best. His mother and father prayed over a rosary during the entire ordeal, but their prayers went entirely unanswered. As the storm continued to get worse, the power went off, and he could hear the boards of their apartment starting to peel on the outside. Rafael gathered his younger brother in his arms who had thankfully been asleep as he prepared for the worst and the inevitable of their apartment structure falling over them.
The nightmare for Rafael ends as he blacked out. It took several days before they were rescued, and only he and his younger brother Riccardo were pulled from the wreckage. The bodies of his mother and father were found buried even deeper between all the rubble, and it was considered a miracle that the two children were alive. Rafael believes it was a coincidence though many believe it was an act of God. The boy never believed that any God would leave two children orphaned without their parents, and it was a tragedy that ultimately led to his huge questioning of religion.
Rafael and his younger brother were immediately placed into foster care in a different city in Rhode Island. Through many protest and acts of begging, their social worker was able to keep the two brothers together. The tragedy left Rafael to be a lot more reserved though it kept his mostly positive spirit because he had to be strong for his younger brother and himself. They were moved from family to family, and it wasn’t due to their own problems but that’s just how the system worked at the time.
Rafael was still able to attend the same schools, but was having to deal with the stress of moving around as if it was a career. It put a strain on him, and led to his grades not being the best along with several run-ins with tough crowds. He had this ultimate plan of saving enough money to be able to provide a place fro his younger brother and he to stay, and he would take care of his younger brother on his own and without any government or outside intervention. These run-ins involved stealing and on one occasion selling weed to his peers and getting enough money to save up. He kept the money in his suitcase so no one would ever be able to find it, and it’s money he’s saved to this very day.
Turning 18 was the ultimate goal in his life, and he was greeted by another miracle opportunity. Rafael had no plans to move to Providence, and he honestly planned on moving to an apartment that was close to their current town so he could one day be able to move his younger brother to him after going through the process of taking him in. After hearing of the rebuilding process and the property being much cheaper than his current options, he used his money that he had been saving and got a friend to drive him to Providence where he bought a small house that was located in the newly built areas of the town. It didn’t take much to transfer schools because of the state agreeing to be pretty lenient when it came to the revival process. He was even able to start taking care of his younger brother and get legal custody of him relatively quickly because of their social worker and knowledge that he was fit to take care of himself and his younger brother.
Rafael is doing the best he can with the added stresses of school, getting a job, and taking care of his younger brother. He’s managing right now, but with the added stress of planning life after High School approaching he’s quickly having to face that reality will never be done throwing hardships his way but knows that he’ll have to keep working hard.
--- PERSONALITY.
Rafael is what most people would describe as an introvert who tries to keep to himself as much as possible. He isn’t the type of guy to immediately tell you his life or how he’s feeling because he doesn’t want to burden others or feels that he needs to. His sense of morality is different than most people because he would do a lot of things just to keep he and his younger brother (or anyone close to him) safe and protected. At one point he was willing to sell drugs and even steal just to save money towards his future. The boy always tries to have a plan, but struggles with being able to mentally balance it all. Most people have never asked how he was feeling, so he is one to bottle up or suppress his emotions because he sees it as a sign of weakness. With that being said, he’s still a pretty positive boy who tries his best to hide his situation from others because he truly doesn’t want their sympathy when he knows it could be worse. He’s also not afraid of being himself and expressing his interests that involve playing soccer, the guitar, and being heavily interested in technology and hoping to find some sort of career with it down the line.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see MAXWELL TUCKER walking around Providence. The EIGHTEEN year old BOY makes his living by being a MECHANIC as well as a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for MATTHEW DADDARIO. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
On September 20, 1997, to parents Allison and Tony, the Hill twins were born. However, they’d only be known as the Hill twins for a matter of minutes. Waiting outside the delivery room door were Austin & Xavier Tucker, newly married, waiting patiently for the delivery of their son. The Tuckers and the Hills had long been family friends ever since Tony and Austin met in an economics class at Wesleyan University. The Hill’s decision to give away one of their children to the couple that couldn’t conceive was not an easy one, but still a decision that had been made. Allison Hill held both of her babies for the first time that night — Andrew Scott Hill, and one unnamed son, whom she’d only get to hold once. This baby was eventually named, by his new parents, Maxwell Patrick Tucker.
Austin and Tony had agreed in the early months of the pregnancy that the boys would still be close to one another throughout their lives. However, as time went on, this plan grew increasingly difficult in regards to Allison’s feelings towards her child. The two families would get together, even though Allison and Tony soon separated (partially due to the loss of giving up their child) and the two boys would play together as though they’d never been separated in the first place. Tensions grew high between the families, as there was an inkling that Allison wanted Maxwell back, which wasn’t possible. Austin and Xavier weren’t going to give up their son. Their third birthday was the last time that Andrew and Max would see each other until they were eighteen years old.
Though Austin and Xavier agreed that it would be best to keep Max’s biological family from him growing up, and to keep as much distance as possible, Xavier broke the rules time and time again by sending photos of Maxwell to Allison’s address on each one of his birthdays, all under Austin’s nose. This continued up to Maxwell’s eighteenth birthday. Allison always wrote back how stunned she was how much he looked like her boy, Andrew.
Despite being given away at birth, Maxwell lead an amazing life. The first of Austin and Xavier’s eight children, he was never alone. His parents always opted to adopt older children who had less of a chance in the system, so although Maxwell was the first, he was always the youngest. Austin Tucker had played football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, so a love of sports was instilled into Max from a very young age. While he got his athleticism from one father, he inherited his kind and loving personality from his other father, Xavier.
When Maxwell was sixteen, he was in the second half of a high school football game when his heart condition was discovered. In the middle of the field, Max suffered a very minor heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. After recovery, he was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition in which the heart muscles become abnormally thick and it becomes difficult for the heart to pump blood. After the diagnosis, Maxwell decided that it was time to meet his biological parents, considering the disease was hereditary. It took a long while for Xavier and Austin to confess to who his parents were. They were fearful that when Maxwell found out about his brother, he’d resent them for keeping the two boys apart. For that exact reason, they only gave Maxwell the name of his biological father, Tony.
Shortly after, Maxwell decided that it would be best to move from Charlotte, North Carolina to Providence, Rhode Island in an attempt to get to know his birth family. He’d finish out high school there and then decide what he wanted to do after that. Only, as soon as he arrived in Providence, strange things started happening. Many people acted as though they already knew him, calling him a name other than his own. A name Maxwell hadn’t really heard since his third birthday.
--- PERSONALITY.
Maxwell is an incredibly kind & loving individual. He always chooses to see the good in people and never has a bad thing to say about anyone. He’s extremely dedicated and when he commits to something, he will follow through. He loves to joke and have fun with friends, and while extroverted, he can often come off as shy if he’s in a situation where he doesn’t know anyone, or if he’s being looked at poorly. He’s incredibly family oriented and wants nothing more than to get to know his biological family all while staying connected to his adoptive family in North Carolina.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see LUCAS GILMORE walking around Providence. The EIGHTEEN year old BOY is a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for ANSEL ELGORT. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
Ever since Lucas was born on a rather cool evening in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the boy had resembled everything soft. Warm blankets, colorful flowers, joyous laughter, bubbles spreading across a summer sky. He was the son of a strong and powerful Texan man, but the little boy of a loving and kind San Francisco woman --- much like his older sister, Kennedy, the two came together to bring into this world something unimaginable. Someone, who, from the very beginning, was determined to make a change in any way humanly possible.
On March 18th of 1998, with the wind blowing hard against the hospital windows as the sun was setting at an incredulous speed, Lucas James Gilmore was born; he was the last child of Henry and Marie, but the only boy that the two would ever have. With that realization came complications for Lucas as he grew older. His father, into sports and grilling and violence and everything that made up the typical man, wanted his boy to be into the things that he liked. He wanted to see trophies on the shelf for sports like wrestling, hockey, soccer and baseball. He wanted all expenses paid scholarships to the top of the top schools in the country. He wanted immediate success. But Lucas, a little too scrawny and gentle for all of those things, wanted to involve himself in different activities. He wanted to make the music that his mother would play on a Sunday morning before church as she made the children breakfast.
His mother easily agreed, and was happy that her son found something of his interest that he was particularly skilled in. Often times, she was his biggest fan --- the one who bought him his first piano, his first guitar, and allowed the home-made drumsets of pots and pans instead of scolding him for causing a disturbance like his father would have done. As expected, Henry was a tad disappointed that his son wasn’t growing into the heavy shoes of the Gilmore name. So in his freshman year of high school, in order to please him, Lucas - on a whim - signed up for the freshman football team at Central High School. Since there were no cuts on the freshman team, Lucas was immediately accepted with the other boys, and the smile on his father’s face as he played his first game was unmistakable.
Lucas had plans to quit football after his freshman year, too nervous for actual tryouts and too afraid that his average grades wouldn’t get him anywhere special like the scholarships that his father hoped for, but a close friend of his named Ryan Salinger convinced him to tryout with him for the school’s JV team that upcoming fall. To his surprise, he landed a spot alongside his friend on the field and his father was overjoyed with the news.
Now, playing for the Varsity team in his senior year, Lucas is only further excelling in the music world --- he can play several well-known piano songs by ear, string together his own chords, and is even interested in getting involved in DJing. While his mother and father are easing into retirement with the plans to travel the world, Lucas is living in Providence with Kennedy and doing anything that he can to figure out where he wants to go next.
--- PERSONALITY.
Lucas Gilmore, despite being the offspring of two very different people, leans more towards his mother’s accepting and generous spirit than the personality of his father; he offers bites of his food to his friends, would willingly give his sweatshirt to someone else on a freezing winter night, and even volunteers at any chance that he can for the city he’s spent his entire life in. Often times, his nature leads others to believe that he’s foolish - too soft, too kind, too this and that - and sometimes, he can admit that he is. He hates being angry and hates having reasons to despise others, and gives everyone that he can the best chance - the benefit of the doubt even though they may not deserve it. But he can’t help it, having grown up in a household without much pain and heartbreak.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see FINLEY AVLETT walking around Providence. The TWENTY-TWO year old BOY makes his living by working at THE ANIMAL REHABILITATION CENTER and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for JORDAN FISHER. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
Being born in the U.S Capital, Washington DC, meant two things for Finley Avlett. One, he knew to never cross paths with a tourist clutching a disposable camera on a mission, and two, he knew the limitations of space. Everyone living in DC is in a rush, important congressmen with important places to be, and if you’re interrupting the flow, you’re nothing but in the way. The last thing Finley ever wanted to be was a target for inconvenience. Growing up, he taught his body to become a folding chair; pulling itself closed and slotting into convenient avenues, allowing everything to grow inwards. He learned how to become a thing that absorbed and adapted to existing in the smaller spaces with a group of friends who could hear him over the ambiance of the city.
For fifteen years, Finley grew up in the District with his parents and a line up of rotating stray cats that were never allowed to stay inside the building for too long. Their apartment was narrow and rustic, with walls that were too thin to disguise the corroding relationship between Finley’s parents in the bedroom down the hall. In a room so small, Finley couldn’t understand how two people could stand so far apart; he hadn’t realised that his parents had been folding in on themselves, too. Their divorce played out like a with standing fine —- overdue, irritating, and costly —– and by the time the custody battle was over, Finley’s father was packing his sons possessions into a moving van with promises that Georgia would be better, the woman he had met online was lovely, that things were going to be “alright, Fin’.”
Something in Finley felt compromised after the move. Georgia was wide open and treacherous; a skyline of simpler lines on a flat canvas. Boundless fields and dirt tracks, grass that grew up to Finn’s knees, tree roots with more history than the Empire State building. He didn’t know what to do with all the space. Finley stumbled, gracelessly, through the motions of joining a new family and school. Concern was laced through out his report cards, phrases like ‘lacks motivation’ and ‘needs to participate in group discussion’ standing out like pins on a map of Finley’s intelligence, critical points indicating all the places where he was going wrong. Teachers often commented on how sombre Finley appeared to be, where as his classmates often saw straight through him; a doleful ghost stuck haunting an unfamiliar town.
Miraculously for Finn, animals don’t care much for ghosts, and neither did a sweet Southern boy with a dozen or so peaches. Finley’s friend total of 0 became a solid, comforting +1, and the rotating stray cat system from the Avletts’ previous address in Washington was replaced with something a little more… excessive. What started with a shoe-box home for a few distressed field mice somehow evolved into an open invitation to what seemed like all of Georgia’s wildlife to take shelter in Finley’s backyard– –or rather, Finley’s new step-mother’s backyard. Somewhere between the addition of two protective, older step-brothers and fixing the sprained wing of a brown thrasher with twigs and bandages, Finley found his voice. No longer a ghost, and no longer friendless, all that was left for Finley was to become.
As far as hurricanes go, the storm that tore through Rhode Island in 2008 stood out in Finley’s memory as particularly harrowing. Somehow, the statistics calculated from the damage had been more gut-wrenching than the pixelated footage captured by resident’s mobile phones that had gone viral at the time. Numbers and percentages had flashed across the Avlett’s TV screen during commercials, figures that had been difficult to digest —– near thousands, near thousands, near thousands —– but, as far as natural disasters go, once the immediate threat was cleared and plans for recovery were set in motion, few people outside those affected spoke of it again. Truthfully, those statics were a faded memory —– little more than a scratch —– by the time Finley stumbled across a circulating article commenting on the success of a small GoFoundMe project for an independent animal rehabilitation center in Providence. The article linked to a website looking for volunteers, and after a month of solid contemplation and exasperated ‘just-do-it!’ sighs from his older siblings, Finley was loading up his car with a suitcase and a few miceless shoe-boxes heading up to Rhode Island to save the critters for the summer.
--- PERSONALITY.
Easily written off as disinterested or detached, Finley’s quiet, reserved nature knocked him off the guest lists of quite a few birthday party’s in his younger years. The root of the problem has always been that Finley is shy, and at the time it was very difficult for an eight year old to express that. Now at twenty-two, Finley isn’t as shy (or as weirdly fixated on caterpillars, for the matter) but it still doesn’t take a lot to leave him flustered and nervously scanning the room for an emergency exit. Nerves have never been the be-all and end-all of social interaction, but sometimes for Finley, it feels like maybe they could be. So, in the event of a party, it’s likely you’ll find Finley hovering by the screen-door ready for a hasty retreat or quietly petting the host’s pet —– either way, he’s very thankful to have received an invitation at all.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see EDWIN GREEN walking around Providence. The NINETEEN year old BOY makes his living by working at BOOKS ON THE SQUARE and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for ASHTON IRWIN. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
Dreaming was something Edwin never really had time to do or rather something he never really wanted to do. He never really liked the thought of only being able to reach what he wanted in his imagination. There was always a plan and rules to follow to make what he wanted palpable — or at least in his mind there was. Organization came easily to him. From setting up a time for studying to even arranging himself to be placed in classes that were bound to get him noticed by some of the top universities, Edwin embodied everything his parents wished for in a child. In his mind, he was going nowhere but up. Although Edwin tried to remain focused on his future, there was always times when he wished he could live “in the moment” as he had heard many others say. He hated the way he would freeze up when something unexpected jumped in the middle of his plans. He wanted to have the ability to let things come to him in any form and still feel like he was in control of the situation. His nature was something he wished he could change if only so he could be more comfortable when put into a situation he wasn’t quite sure of. Edwin didn’t know that he would need to change quicker than he thought. No one truly expected the drastic decisions he would come to make in the following months. Already settled into his new dorm and doing pretty alright in his classes, Edwin felt like something was missing. Sure he was studying what he wanted at the school that offered him the best opportunity to become what he desired but he knew couldn’t stay there. He knew what was missing. Out of character or not, Edwin decided to transfer to a university that allowed him to be closer to his sister. It took a while for him to get everything settled and for him to get transferred to the appropriate classes, but soon enough he was packing up what little belongings he had in his dorm and was on his way to Providence. He didn’t explain his reasoning to his parents — if they had been more understanding he wouldn’t have had to do this in the first place — but he did let them know he was going in search for his other half. He knew what he was doing. He always did.
--- PERSONALITY.
Eddie is someone who most would lovingly, or not, describe him as a perfectionist. He likes things done a certain way if only to keep himself sane, but that doesn’t mean he’s a stick in the mud. He has his mischievous streak when it’s called for and loves to play a good prank or two to lighten up the mood. He’s a good listener and a good person to come to for advice, but don’t take his sarcasm as him brushing you off. He truly means well. He takes his studies seriously and can be found studying if he’s not working or around the town.

You know, after all of these years, I wouldn’t have expected to see BRAXTON AMARO walking around Providence. The TWENTY-FIVE year old BOY makes his living by being a SECURITY GUARD and, I’ll admit, once or twice I’ve mistaken him for BOB MORLEY. Crazy, right? You should go meet HIM.
--- BIOGRAPHY.
Born to an Australian father and a Filipino mother, Braxton was raised in Melbourne, Australia. There wasn’t much in the way of happiness in the early years of Braxton’s life. Though his parents tried to give him as much as they could, they had still had to deal with the fact that only one of their children had survived birth. Braxton’s own twin brother had been a still born, so while he was a miracle, it wasn’t always easy for his parents to be around him. Most would think it would make them more grateful for him, which it did, they just had different ways of showing it.
At the age of five, his little brother and sister were born and it was a joyous time, until his mother developed post-natal depression. From then on, it became weird between Braxton and his parents, this stemmed the start of his guarded personality, he felt like that was the day he lost his mother, but was also the day he lost his father and letting people close to him -in fear of losing them- was hard for him.
Things only got worse when he was eleven, when he discovered his mother had overdosed on pills in the bathroom. From there the barely there relationship between him and his father became non-existent. He was so far in his grief that he practically forgot he still had children to take care of. After many nights of not being fed, Braxton slowly had to learn how to do everything for himself and his younger siblings.
Braxton was only sixteen when his father lost it, setting the house on fire with his children still inside. Despite his best efforts, Braxton lost both his siblings that night and was left with permanent burn marks on his right leg. With his father being sent off the jail, Braxton was sent to live with his aunt in California. Things didn’t start of so great, since he was left in a deep grief and self blame about not saving his siblings. He had had his period of trying to drink and smoke his way away from his feelings and then threw himself into his school work.
Braxton learned everything he could, different languages just because, and mostly since he wasn’t sure what to do with his life. That was at least until he ultimately decided to go to college to become a teacher. He was only twenty one when he was forced to drop out. He had no other choice when an ex-girlfriend stopped by and told him about the baby– his baby. The moment she said she couldn’t handle being a mother, Braxton took his daughter in, even with only being a few months old, it wasn’t hard to see how much the kid looked like him.
Deciding that he, and his daughter Livia, needed a fresh start, Braxton found himself moving to Providence, Rhode Island. What better place for him than a town that had been torn apart and rebuilt than here. Braxton took on a job as a security guard, having to keep his priority on his daughter but still make a good income for them. It’s been four years since he moved to the rebuilt town and he doesn’t regret a moment of it.
--- PERSONALITY.
There are two sides to Braxton. The one where is guarded and sarcastic, which happened to be how he acted with people he wasn’t comfortable with. It was hard for him to let people in, he had a fear of losing people after all. There is also a side to him that only those closest to him see; the sweet, caring, nurturing side. He is instinctually protective over the people he cares about most and generally the best person to go to for comfort.
BRAXTON IS PLAYED BY GEMMA.
