3 types of Malaysia visas you can apply for.
Takers for a Malaysia visa are increasing every year. This can be attributed to the rising spending power of Indians and the numerous attractions the country boasts. Malaysia is also the Asian hub for a number of multinational companies. This results in a lot of business travellers who frequent the modern yet beautiful country of Malaysia. If you have a trip the country on the cards, you too will need to apply for a visa and you can choose from these 3 types of visas for Malaysia. 1. Malaysia eNTRI visa: The first and probably the most common type of visa for Malaysia is the Malaysia eNTRI visa. This visa can be availed by Indians who are travelling for tourism and do not plan to stay longer than 15 days. It can be availed online through a number of travel agent and visa booking sites. It shouldn’t cost you more than Rs. 2,000 and takes as little as one or two days to process. This visa is valid for 3 months. 2. Single entry eVisa. This is next most popular type of Malaysia visa. However, this allows you to stay longer, up to 30 days at that and hold the same validity as the Malaysia eNTRI visa (3 months). Price wise, this will cost you a little more and you should expect to pay amounts in the 3-4 thousand range and will also take 3 or 4 days to process. As the name suggests, the visa allows only a single entry. Again, it can be availed through travel agent & visa websites. Unlike the Malaysia eNTRI visa which allows you to enter only directly from India, Thailand & Singapore, the eVisa allows you to enter from anywhere. 3. 30-day multiple entry visa. This is a visa popular with business men and government workers who need to visit Malaysia regularly for official work. It can also be availed online through similar channels as the eNTRI visa and the eVisa, only it will take 4 to 5 days to process and will cost you upwards of Rs. 7,000. The advantage of this visa is that you can enter multiple times with the same visa and stay for a maximum of 30 days at a time. The visa is valid for a year. 4. Transit visa. This is the sort of Malaysia visa you will require if have a connecting flight from Malaysia to another country. It allows you to stay in Malaysia for a period of 120 hours or 5 days. It can be availed at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport or at the Low Cost Terminal.
5. Transit without visa:
This isn’t a type of visa but rather it’s a pass that allows you to catch a connecting flight from Malaysia. With this, you can travel thru the terminal without any formalities, however, you will not be able to leave the terminal and step out into Malaysia.
These were types of Malaysia visa you can apply for when travelling to this beautiful island nation. Good luck and safe travels!
