For further elaboration; you will be perfectly healthy without it, and face no complications relating specifically to that thing. You can still get exhausted from physical work and need to sit down and rest, but you won't have to be completely unconscious to recover. Likewise, your nutrients will stay balanced and you stay at your current weight, but you won't need any food. You can drink if you want, but its not needed if you don't eat.

And you absolutely CANNOT do what you choose ever again. no enjoying good food or enjoying a comfortable nap. Make your choice.

I know I've made a very similar post prior to this, but less of Makoto's views rubbing off on Kyoko and more of Kyoko's views rubbing off on Makoto. yes he has very strong morals that define all of his actions and of course Kyoko would adopt some of those traits. She'll become a little more open, less distrusting, riskier with what she does for people she cares for. Hesitant to let others suffer in the wake of her actions. But I would greatly enjoy some glimpses at the opposite side of their dynamic. Makoto doesn't seek to completely betray his values, but he's more hesitant with trusting those he's speaking to. A little bit of doubt for others that makes him inadvertently more reserved. Still open, but in ways that won't make him flinch when it's used against him. Trauma is obviously going to make him more closed off from others, but how long does it take for the pressure of everything good that he's done to make him work in subtle ways to protect himself and others? How long until the title of Ultimate Hope makes a gun feel comfortable in his hands? How long until Kyoko sees herself reflected back in Makoto in a terrible way?

one of my favorite details about makoto has to be how he talks and thinks. hes got a very simple way of speaking but he's prone to using a lot of metaphorical language as well. and yet, it's not something i see portrayed often in the fandom

Been reflecting on the Danganronpa crossovers that have been done with games over the years, particularly those that have combat in them. It appears Makoto usually wields the Despair Bat that he gets after chapter 1 when it comes to combat games (unless I missed a crossover where he has something else!), but I'm curious what other people think of him using, if he had an officially stated weapon.

and dont just say that hes passive. 1. that's just incorrect, and 2. play in this space with me or face my wrath

hi. im having more dr1 thoughts.

i really love this bit where kyoko comforts makoto after the first trial. i think it's one of their most interesting interactions, and is a good showcase of the core of their relationship...

... because she puts her trust in him as one would invest in a business, i think. she comforts him because without him, the other participants won't be able to survive, and she won't be able to uncover the mysteries unfolding before them. at this stage, he's a valuable asset in the making, someone who has the right idea of what to fight against, but needs a steady hand to guide him through it.

and even as he refuses her observation of him...

... she still risks it.

it's early in the game, so there's no solid judgements she can make yet. she keeps him 5 feet away while keeping everyone else 10 feet, ready to turn her back on him again the moment he proves too much of a risk. but for this moment, she'll trust him.

Makoto is someone who can't go to sleep if it isn't dead silent because of how distracting noise is, and Kyoko is someone who needs white noise so that she isn't kept awake by her own thoughts. They take turns every night accommodating each other; Makoto wears noise-cancelling earmuffs while Kyoko gets to leave the tv on one night, and the next night Kyoko wears headphones to listen to rain/wind sounds to let Makoto get unobstructed silence

i think sdr2 should have been more about an examination of despair and its complicated relationship with hope than pulling the "hope and despair dont matter i want to look towards my future" card. they pull that card out so early in the series and every installment thereafter has to be. kinda about that. instead of caring for why that conflict was so important and stupid for everyone
