Oooh, good point about differences in addressing teachers. Now I’m really curious about it too.

Austria is quite formal! Most (or at least a lot of) lower and upper secondary kids will call their teachers “Professor [name]” (instead of just Mr/Ms/Mrs [name]) EVEN THOUGH SCHOOL TEACHERS ARE NOT PROFESSORS FFFFSS cause this is a leftover from... olden days.... when that also didn’t make sense but here we are???

I remember graduating and some teachers being like “you can call me by my first name now!” and my intense reaction of “that is NEVER going to happen, you will never be a first-name-basis person for me” haha. (Teachers, however, do call students by their first name here now. That wasn’t so common up until my parents’ generation either, afaik.)
