Whenever Shuichi needed to recollect his thoughts on a case or hit a hurdle, one thing that often helped was moving away from his desk, and laying down on his bed. He'd shift from staring up at the ceiling and closing his eyes in thought, as he tries to put all his thoughts together in one coherent form. That was what he was currently doing, Shuichi plopping onto the bed with a soft huff after getting a copious amount of paperwork done. Now all that was left was properly re-arranging everything in chronological order for the case files; and this case had... quite a lot going on. It was still going to take some time to fully complete everything. "First I'll....review the order of notable events that happened. Match the key details the persons of interest gave me, and..." He mumbled to himself, as his eyes peered up at the ceiling. And before he knew it... his eyes were slowly coming to a close, before he eventually drifts off to sleep.

It's not until he feels his nose poked, and the feel of Kokichi's lips when kissed, that he finally begins stirring awake. "Mmmnn..." Soft sighs and sleepy mumbles leave him in response, humming at the additional kisses and the feel of his hand brushing his bangs. "Ko..ki...." Eyes would slowly open, greeting his boyfriend with a sleepy smile and a nod. "Mmhm... I am...." Raising up in a sitting position, he lets out a yawn before looking towards him. "Ah... I suppose I... -?!" That's when the realization that he fell asleep hits him fully. "Wait, I fell asleep?! Wow, I really must have been more tired than I thought...." Then gazing down- "Ah..." He saw that Kokichi had placed a blanket over him. "Thank you for the blanket, Kokichi... you're so sweet. I wonder... how long I was out..."

Then when he says he made his favorite dinner, he perks up with a smile. "Ohhh...! Oh that sounds great, thank you! I can't wait to eat; and a nice bath together and tea afterwards with you, sounds wonderful... I'm looking forward to it. Then seeing the little set up Kokichi did with their clothes and candles, and seeing how proud he looked, made him giggle. He found it so adorable, and so sweet, how hard Kokichi worked to ensure the most relaxing night for them both.

"Hmm? Implying you weren't already husband material?" He jokes back with a laugh, smiling just as softly as he leans in to finally return each kiss Kokichi had given him. "You're the best. This night is already wonderful before it's really started.... ah..." A quiet hum leaves him as he goes to rest his head on Kokichi's shoulder. "I see...yeah.... I'm sorry for worrying you. I guess I was so focused on finishing up the paperwork for this case, that I didn't even realize it. Not how tired I was...." A warm smile then adorns his face, reaching up to press a soft kiss to his cheek while wrapping his arms around him. "That would be wonderful... you always take such great care of me, Kokichi. I love you so much; and thank you... I promise to take it easy for the rest of the night. I'd rather just relax for the rest of the night with you..."

Kokichi sat on the edge of the bed, one leg dangling off the side and the other tucked under him. Reaching over, he poked Shuichi on the tip of the nose. "Wake up, beloved," he drawled, shifting so that he could lean over and press a kiss to Shuichi's lips. Then another, and another, and finally he leaned back with a smile. "Awake yet?" He sat up, hand brushing Shuichi's hair from his face gently. "You accidentally fell asleep, huh?" he asked. He already knew that, though. He had found him asleep and, rather than wake him, had got to work. After covering him with a blanket. "C'mon, I made your favorite for dinner. Then we can take a bath, and I'll make us some tea." Kokichi was puffing up with a little pride, having already laid out their night clothes for after the bath and lit some candles.

"So? Whaddya say? Am I husband material yet?" he joked. His smile softened, however, head tipping to one side slightly as he explained, "You've been working way too hard lately. Let me take care of you."
