i didnt have but i drew some!!!

for now only some of the baroque works (i wanted them to look a bit baroque! so outfits inspired by baroque fashion!)

Those little chibi’s you did of straw hats abt their outfits are just so adorable 🥹 do you have that for anyone else in the one piece universe

OMG I love your art, especially you’re one piece redesigns is there a specific fashion style or time period. You based your one piece redesigns off of to give them the pirate look that you gave them 

well i dont think there is a clear answer to that! if i had to label this style somehow it would be casual teenage summer y2k style, something u find in thrift store (for the strawhats)!

the fashion and looks i choose for the characters are based on my interpretation of the character and the clothes i like!

for the strawhats i choose colorful and comfortable clothes, and add a lot of various accessories, basing on their personalities and history (for example: luffys necklace made from asl teeth, nami's leg braclet - gift from vivi, sanji's prints with seafood!)

Hello!! your one piece art and redesigns are amazing - I've never seen anything like it! i have two questions: 1. is it ok to make fanart of your one piece designs with credit to you? 2. where do you get your artistic inspiration from? i love the little details (scars, jewellery, tattoos etc) you add to each character - someone left a tag that i keep thinking about, saying that your designs make them look more like pirates than the og design, which i agree with. thank you for sharing your art!

1. yes! making fanart of mine redesigns is totally fine but only if u credit me! @makielki on tumblr/instagram!

2. i had to do a lot of thinking over that question because drawing characters or redesigning them comes rather naturally to me. everything inspires me, things i saw or experienced in real life and the things i saw on the internet! i choose what i like or what i find visualy pleasing and mix it in my head to create something I will enjoy and call mine!

but with every redesign i also do a looot of thinking and i create the design basing on those things:

• i analyse the original design and think what i like and what i dont, and how i would change it!

• i think how the world around them/place they are living in/the role that they have/the social status influence the appearence

• i think how their personal experience would influence the appearence

• i think about what the character likes/dislikes and what's their personality

• i try to match the design to the vibe of the whole story
