BEJEWELLED - s. geto
cw. gn!reader but reader uses makeup? that’s about it i think
notes. not beta read, pre-hidden inventory ig?? super short geto drabble that i wrote at midnight, i can’t write endings, first post 🫶
Tumblr media
geto suguru has never been able to say no to you - it’s just something he can’t ever bring himself to do. like when you’d gotten up in the middle of watching in the middle of an adbreak, and returned with a makeup palette and a hopeful expression.
“stop moving your head.” you hiss, grabbing his chin to make him face you. an eyeliner pencil in one hand, and the other struggling to force him to keep his head still. “you’ll mess up the eyeliner.”
“i’ll stop moving when you stop trying to stab my eye out.” you roll your eyes, muttering something about how he’s overreacting and ordering him to close his eyes again. he obliges, just like he always does, and tries his best to not mess up your hard work. he had seen how hard you were concentrating to get it perfect (he’d accidentally opened his eyes a number of times) and he’d heard you muttering about how you’d could’ve done a full face of makeup in the time it took you to do just the eyeshadow.
“there. done.” he relaxes again, thankful that it was over. the adbreak had finished long ago, and the show almost had at this point too - but when he’d pointed this out, he was told it was because he was being difficult. again.
“can i see?”
“no. i’m not finished.”
“you just said done.” he heard you click your tongue, and heard a rustling, probably you grabbing something else from the pile you’d created in the space next to you.
“with your eyeliner. now we can do mascara, and then your eyes will be done.” he opens his eyes and watches as you remove the spoolie from the tube. an action that makes your tough six-foot-three curse-fighting boyfriend recoil at an amazing speed.
“what the fuck are you going to do with that?”
“put it on your eyelashes.”
“you’ll rip them out.” you sigh at his dramatics, leaning forwards just as suguru reaches out to keep you an arms length away. “if you try now, you’ll probably just ruin all the other makeup.”
you put the spoolie back, watching as he sheepishly removes his hand. there was definitely a way to convince him to let you ‘rip out’ his eyelashes, but you hadn’t quite figured it out yet. “i use this almost daily, it really isn’t that bad.”
“what if it isn’t used to my eyelashes?”
“eyelashes are eyelashes, sugu.” he shakes his head, absolutely adamant that you’re actually trying to murder him with the maybelline sky-high in your hand. “i bet satoru would let me do his eyelashes.”
“satoru almost cried when one eyelash fell out. he wouldn’t let you near them.”
“what if i tell shoko you’re afraid of mascara?”
he narrows his eyes at you before shaking his head. “you’re not that mean,” both of you knew shoko would never let him live it down if she ever found out.
just like that time she found out nine-year-old satoru was afraid of bees because he thought they were robots (he claimed his six eyes told him), or that time she found out twelve-year-old satoru refused to go to the circus because he was scared of the magicians pulling birds out of their hats. the latest addition to the list was that time about two weeks ago when satoru screamed at grandma who jumpscared him by sitting next to him at a bus stop.
“really? well, let me get my phone—”
“about that mascara, i think it will really complete the look.”
you grinned as you opened the mascara again, leaning forward. “keep your eyes open.”
“if you stab me in the eye i’ll tell satoru that you were the one who told shoko about the robot bees.” you hum gently, ignoring his threat as you complete the eye look, leaning back and admiring your hard work. “done yet?”
“soon. i just think you need some lipstick too.” you grab one of the three from the pile, just to have him take it away and put it back.
“i don’t think that shade will match my complexion.”
“since when were you an expert on what’s good and what isn’t?”
“since i sat for twenty minutes watching you do my makeup.” he picks up a different shade (your usual one) and holds it up. “use this one.” you snatch it from him in fake annoyance and apply the shade to his lips. watching with satisfaction as he takes a mirror and admires his reflection. “better than i expected.”
“what’s that supposed to mean?”
“last time i let someone do my makeup i looked like the lovechild of a drag queen and a clown.”
you tilt your head, trying to guess who would manage that. “satoru?”
“satoru.”
“hey, suguru! where are you?” speak of the devil and he shall appear. uninvited and unexpected. the latter being clear by the absolute horror that adorns suguru’s now very very pretty face.
“why is he here?”
you shrug. “gave him the keys once, he never actually returned them.”
“yo, there you are…” satoru trails off as he stares at his best friend for a while, absolute silence on both ends. for a second, you wonder if it looks bad, but then the sound of a camera shutter and the rapidly receding footsteps assure you that you did absolutely perfect.

beauty on a budget for someone new to the lifestyle?
since you’re only starting out, you’ll probably want to focus on affordable products and diy and at home beauty treatments.
you can get affordable skin care products from brands like cerave, cetaphil, and the ordinary. you’ll find all your essential cleansers, serums, exfoliators and moisturizers. you can order facial sheet masks in bulk cheap from amazon. you can also use aztec secret healing clay as a clay masque. skip the guasha altogether and follow a youtube tutorial for face sculpting massages instead.
good quality affordable makeup brands I used when I was nearly broke included e.l.f., nyx, wet n’ wild, maybelline, and makeup revolution. look into some other drug store brands within your budget and check reviews before you buy anything so you don’t waste your money. get generic beauty blenders and powder puffs, you’ll be replacing them often anyway so it’s best to get them cheap. you can buy cheap big makeup brush sets on amazon that’ll last a long time if you clean them regularly and take care of them.
press on nails and home manicures / pedicures will save you a ton of money and time. find a good manicure kit and pumice stone. buy a dollar store basin and some epsom salts to soak your feet. for press on nails I usually get mine from temu or brands like kiss and impress. if you just want to paint your natural nails, get a gel polish like l.a. colors color craze gel or sally hansen miracle gel. if you want to go the extra mile, invest in the supplies and learn how to do your own acrylics or gel manicures.
learn how to wax, shape, and tint your own eyebrows. you can buy an affordable diy wax kit like this one and use youtube tutorials on how to find the most flattering brow shape. (as a bonus, the hard waxing kit can also be used to remove unwanted hair on the rest of your body.) you can also find cheap brow tinting kits that usually last up to five uses at sally’s beauty supply and various other stores online.
if you want your lashes done, you can either get really, really good at applying a strip lash – my go to affordable brands are ardell and kiss – or you can invest in some bulk lash clusters and the falscara diy eyelash extension kit. figure out what lash placement will best compliment your features, then watch lots and lots of youtube tutorials on how to use it and practice, practice, practice. they take some getting used to.
when it comes to hair care, the very first thing you want to do is figure out your hair type with a quiz like this one and find what it needs to look and feel healthy. I have 2A hair, so I would pretty much always spring for nexxus for something moisturizing and lightweight, but I’ve heard great things about ogx, shea moisture, not your mother’s, maui moisture, l’oreal elvive, and garnier whole blends which are great for other hair types, densities, and textures. all these brands carry a wide variety of products from shampoo, to leave in treatments, to hair masques, to curl cream — you get it. again, read reviews. you can also use a cotton t-shirt to dry and plop your hair instead of spending money on a microfiber towel, and a satin scarf wrapped around your head to protect your hair while sleeping instead of a silk bonnet and pillow case.
if you’re into styling your hair, two of my favorite methods are heatless styling and blowouts. for heatless styling, you may not even need to purchase any new styling tools. I started out using this heatless robe curl method and eventually started doing other heatless styling methods like the ones on this playlist once I started buying more tools, and did styles like these when I didn’t feel like setting my hair at all. for styles that require heat, a highly suggest investing in a dyson airwrap – which can do pretty much everything – so you don’t end up spending even more on an arsenal of hot styling tools.
good luck, sugar
xoxo

Adam: Lute, one of the girls said I was wearing fucking eyeliner.
Lute, grabbing her spear: Roger that, sir. I'll remove her.
Adam: No, fuck, calm down. Jesus. I'm just asking you, it's not eyeliner, right? It's war paint, around my eyes. Which is definitely not makeup.
Lute: ...It...it does say Maybelline on the lid, sir.
Adam: Wasn't he a French king?
Lute: ...Sure.

What an incredibly funny coincidence that you posted that makeup breakdown just now. I was at a convention this weekend, a little bit unprepared, and ended up panic-buying my lipstick for the day from a local hypermarket. I blindly picked something that seemed decent and had a suitable color, and then at the end of the day was like wow, this really didn't come off - and still didn't, even when I was trying to wash it lol. (Also, I tried it on my wrist at the store and some of that just stuck on my skin for the rest of the weekend.)
I'm telling you this because the lipstick in question was... Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink! I did not pay much attention when I bought it, but now seeing your post I was like wait, could it be...
I was also thinking over the weekend whether I should start wearing more lipstick, and it legit came to my mind that I should check if you had any recs in your blog. But, well, I guess I had it covered already!
Serendipity is alive and well!
The Super Stay Matte Ink lipsticks really are impressive. I can't believe I'd slept on them for so long! The longevity of their wear cannot be overstated—you need like turpentine to get it off. And for that price? They can't be beat.
I've found that Neutrogena's eye remover liquid is really good at getting it off. Just put some on a cotton round and go to town. It's also good at getting rid of any staining on skin.

hi arc i just wanted to shoot you a quick thanks for that one post like six months ago where you casually recommended maybelline's super stay matte ink! it ended up being the perfect lipstick for me, i bought like three shades lmao
its So Powerful. once its on, that shit stays ON. there is always the Fear that i will apply it wrong and then need to fake my death to go home and use actual makeup remover to get it off and redo, but the high stakes gambit HAS caused me to get way steadier at putting it on lmao

i'm so boredddd
time for random questions
what's your🫵 skincare routine? 🧖‍♀️
what products do you🫵 use?🧼🧴
(might go around asking these questions at random avatar writers hehe)
🫵🫵🫵
hiiii my 🫵 anon hehe. how are you love?
ooohhh i love sharing products! i’m gonna preface this by saying i have very oily, acne prone skin so 😀 and i’m gonna say my skincare n makeup routine bc why not!
1. to cleanse in the am, i use garnier micellar water on a cotton round (im always running late/never have time to do a full face wash lol)
2. then, i like to use panoxyl’s oil control moisturizer (has spf 30 which is great, i kill two birds with one stone using a combined moisturizer/spf). if i know i’m going to be in the sun for longer than 30 min, i also apply the skinscience sunscreen (it’s very glowy tho so i’m not positive it’s great for my oily skin lol)
3. i recently purchased the elf power grip primer (the new pink one with niacinamide) and it’s nice! so i’ll use some of that and press it in, don’t rub since it has that tackiness feel to it and you don’t want the product to pill
4. then i’ll either spot conceal if i’m in a big rush w/ the dior forever skin correct, or if i have time, apply charlotte tilbury’s beautiful skin foundation (it’s pretty lightweight which is nice, especially in the summer)
5. for brows, i love the nyx eyebrow pencil. it’s a staple for me, i’ve been using it for years now. for contour, i also recently picked up the elf halo glow contour beauty wand, and it’s a very good dupe for the charlotte tilbury contour wand. dare i say better?
6. for mascara, honestly any drugstore mascara is good. i also like the little mini “travel” sized ones from sephora, since you’re supposed to replace mascara every month anyway. might as well spend $13 on the mini instead of $28 for the full size one since it’s getting tossed at the end of the month regardless!
7. for powder, maybelline fit me (the loose one) is great, and givenchy makes a good loose powder too but it’s $$. setting spray i like urban decay’s all nighter, but i don’t use setting spray every day.
8. at night, i always double cleanse. it is essential. i use an oil cleanser from the dermatology group i belong to, it’s pretty nice. it removes all the mineral spf that’s sitting on top of the skin, as well as makeup. then for cleanser, i like cerave’s foaming facial cleanser, or their acne control cleanser. both are nice.
9. then i use the advanced snail 96 mucin power essence after cleansing, slimy yes but it makes your skin look dewy and glowy. and after that i apply a moisturizer & retinol from the derm group i belong to :) and then eye cream & lash serum!
wowee that’s a lot hahaha sorry for info dumping i just love talking abt products, this was such a fun ask <3

Crème Shop Haul
In Asia Crème Shop is a very popular brand. It’s actually known as a US brand in Asia as the company is in California but, for some reason in America it’s advertised as “Korean Beauty”. I actually have a hard time finding their products in the US. I have found some at Ulta and Sephora but, none in warehouse retail stores like Target or Walmart. I was very surprised to find the products at Walgreens. Crème Shop is mostly known for its cute packaging and they often have limited edition packaging for Products of characters like Hello Kitty and Pusheen. I’m a big sucker for cute packaging. These products are hypoallergenic and cruelty free. I have a hard time wearing eye cosmetics because they make my eyes itch and water. Crème shop never does that but, big American brands like Covergirl, Maybelline, ELF, even Physicians Formula make my eyes water. Which is kind of disappointing because, I really like the look of the Covergirl eye makeup and it’s really affordable too.
Tumblr media
I highly recommend the face powders for anyone who has a 10 year old Sephora kid. It is almost impossible to waste these powders because of how they are packaged. The loose powders are contained in a closed case with a mesh net over the opening. You can only get out maybe 1/4 a teaspoon of powder at a time. This works great for kids who over use products and if they accidentally knock the product over very little will be lost. My favorite is the “Banana Powder” but, that wasn’t available so I got the BT21 powders and the classic “Moon Dust”.
Tumblr media
The Crème Shop is currently having a BT21 collaboration so a lot of the products have the BT21 characters. I was able to also find some of the Hello Kitty 50th anniversary skincare products too. I was really hoping to find the Pusheen makeup brushes but, they weren’t available. I did pick up some BT21 brushes as I haven’t replaced my brushes in over 10 years and really needed new ones. As you can see many of the products haven’t been opened yet. That is because after opening the products they only have a 6-12 month usage date before you have to throw them away.
Tumblr media
The Hello Kitty care pack only has a 3 month usage date so I only purchased the mini products, except for the full size face wash which I use twice a day and know it will not go to waste.
Tumblr media
I did get the Hello Kitty makeup removal wipes specifically because they smell like watermelon which is my favorite fruit. Normally I use the more eco friendly reusable makeup remover cloth. The wipes actually work better than the cloth. I was able to get all my makeup off using only one wipe even the waterproof mascara. However due to the wipes not being biodegradable I’ll probably not buy them very often.

The Ultimate Guide to Natural Wedding Makeup for Your Big Day
Your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life, and achieving a flawless, natural makeup look is essential to feeling confident and beautiful. Natural wedding makeup focuses on enhancing your features while maintaining a fresh and effortless appearance. Here's the ultimate guide to help you achieve the perfect natural wedding makeup look for your big day.
1. Prep Your Skin
A glowing complexion starts with proper skincare. In the months leading up to your wedding, invest in a skincare routine that includes cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and protecting your skin from the sun.
Key Tips:
Cleanse: Use a gentle cleanser to remove impurities without stripping your skin's natural oils.
Exfoliate: Exfoliate regularly to remove dead skin cells and promote a smooth, radiant complexion. Opt for chemical exfoliants like AHAs and BHAs for a gentle yet effective treatment.
Moisturize: Hydrated skin looks plump and healthy. Choose a moisturizer suitable for your skin type and consider using a hydrating serum.
Sun Protection: Apply sunscreen daily to protect your skin from UV damage and prevent premature aging.
2. Prime for Longevity
A good primer creates a smooth base for your makeup and helps it last throughout the day. Choose a primer that addresses your skin concerns, such as hydrating for dry skin or mattifying for oily skin.
Key Tips:
Application: Apply primer after your skincare routine and before foundation. Focus on areas where makeup tends to wear off, like the T-zone.
Types: For a natural look, opt for a primer that gives a subtle glow or blurs imperfections without being too heavy.
3. Choose Lightweight Foundation
For a natural bridal look, a lightweight foundation that offers buildable coverage is ideal. Tinted moisturizers, BB creams, or light foundations can even out your skin tone while letting your natural complexion shine through.
Key Tips:
Shade Matching: Test the foundation in natural light to find your perfect match.
Application: Use a damp beauty sponge or a foundation brush to blend the product seamlessly into your skin. Apply thin layers and build coverage only where needed.
4. Conceal with Precision
Use concealer to address any blemishes, dark circles, or redness that your foundation doesn’t cover. Choose a concealer that matches your skin tone for blemishes and a slightly lighter shade for the under-eye area.
Key Tips:
Application: Apply concealer in a triangle shape under the eyes to lift and brighten the area. Blend well with a brush or your finger.
Setting: Lightly set the concealer with a translucent powder to prevent creasing.
5. Natural Eye Makeup
Keep eye makeup soft and neutral to maintain a natural look. Use earthy tones like taupe, beige, and soft browns. A subtle shimmer on the lids can add a touch of glamour without being overpowering.
Key Tips:
Eyeliner: Opt for a brown or black eyeliner and apply a thin line close to the lash line. Consider tightlining (lining the upper waterline) for added definition.
Mascara: Waterproof mascara is a must for weddings. Curl your lashes and apply a few coats to open up your eyes. Brands like Maybelline Lash Sensational or Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara are great options.
6. Define Your Brows
Your eyebrows frame your face, so keep them looking natural but well-groomed. Fill in sparse areas with a brow pencil or powder that matches your natural brow color. Use a clear or tinted brow gel to set them in place.
Key Tips:
Shape: Follow the natural shape of your brows and avoid overfilling. Brush your brows upward and outward for a fuller look.
Products: Choose products that offer a soft, natural finish rather than harsh lines.
7. Add a Natural Flush
Blush is essential for adding a healthy glow to your cheeks. Choose a cream or powder blush in a soft pink or peach shade that complements your skin tone. Apply it to the apples of your cheeks and blend upward toward your temples.
Key Tips:
Application: Smile to find the apples of your cheeks and use a light hand to build up the colour gradually.
Blend: Ensure the blush is well-blended to avoid any harsh lines.
8. Highlight for Radiance
A subtle highlighter can enhance your natural features and add a beautiful glow. Apply a liquid or cream highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, the inner corners of your eyes, and your cupid’s bow.
Key Tips:
Blend: Use your fingers or a small brush to blend the highlighter well, avoiding any harsh lines.
Products: Opt for highlighters that provide a subtle sheen rather than chunky glitter.
9. Soft, Natural Lips
Choose a lip colour that is close to your natural lip shade or a soft pink/peach. Lip stains, tinted balms, and sheer lipsticks are excellent choices for a natural look. Ensure your lips are well-hydrated before applying colour.
Key Tips:
Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate your lips before applying lip colour to remove any dry skin.
Define: Use a lip liner to define your lips and prevent feathering.
10. Set for Longevity
Finally, set your makeup with a setting spray or a light dusting of translucent powder. This step will help lock your makeup in place and keep it looking fresh throughout the day.
Key Tips:
Application: Focus on areas that tend to get oily, like the T-zone. Use a setting spray that adds a dewy finish for an extra glow.
Touch-Ups: Keep blotting papers and a compact powder on hand for touch-ups during the day.
By following these essential steps, you can achieve a stunning natural wedding makeup look that enhances your features and ensures you look your best on your special day. Embrace your natural beauty and let it shine through with these tips and tricks for flawless wedding makeup.
