WHAT THE HELL????? WHAT THE HELL WITH THESE PARALLELS???? Will says "Is it? Is it early, Michael?" around 8:17 while Max says "Is this it?" around -8:17!!!!!!!!! You've intrigued me and I decided to look through these two scenes - DnD game before the fight and Max& El going to Heather's house with a focus on what's going on from 8:04 to 8:29 and from -8:29 to - 8:04 AND SOME CRAZY SHIT IS HAPPENING.

In the first shot after the intro, we see grey stormy clouds and Ted Wheeler (is it him?) wearing a yellow & blue raincoat, Will turns on the music and awakens the boys. At the same time from the end of the chapter, Max & El enter the living room where Holloways and Billy are having supper and the music is playing.

But that's not even the craziest thing!!!!!!!!! Stay with me here. Will starts his speech around 7:58 with "That is not music. That...is the sound of destiny! I have seen into the future, and I've seen that today is a new day..." while -7:58 we hear the music playing and we see a picture of Holloway's family.

8:04ish Will says "...a day free of girls!" and -8:04ish Max enters Holloway's house.

8:05/14ish we hear Lucas's "What is happening right now?" and Mike's "Will, come on", but also Will's "A tribe of villagers are under threat..." and -8:14/05ish El opens the red door of Holloway's house (we see the lock that looks very much like a clock). We know that at that time Halloway's family are under threat of the possessed Billy/the Mind Flayer.

It says 1:38 or 7:06 before El opens the door and 3:45 or 9:15 after El opens it.

8:15ish Will says "...from an evil force from the swamps of Kuzatan" and -8:15ish we see Max and El near Holloway's house deciding what to do. Billy is an evil force. Will also mentions swamps in relation to Kuzatan and Holloway means "a sunken lane" = Holloways become the paws of the Mind Flayer/Vecna. + El saw Heather being sunk while looking for her in the void.

8:17 Will asks Mike "Is it? Is it early, Michael?" and -8:17 Max asks El "Is this it?" and she nods (meaning is it the house where she saw Heather)

8:19/21ish Will to Mike "Tell that to the villagers crying for your help..." -8:21/19ish we see Heather's house and numbers 1438. Holloways = the villagers crying for help.

8:22/29ish Will's "...the children so frightened, they cannot sleep. Are you truly going to let them perish?" -8:29/22ish Max & El ride a bike in the pouring rain to help Heather.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT TWO SCENES ARE PARALLELED LIKE THIS?????? THE FIGHT SCENE AND ROBIN CRACKING THE RUSSIAN CODE!!!!!

20:15 (8:15 PM) THE GAME IS INTERRUPTED AND MIKE SAYS "EL? SORRY, NOT INTERESTED" AND -20:15(-8:15 PM) ROBIN TELLS STEVE & DUSTIN SHE CRACKED THE CODE!!!!!!!!!

I've been thinking about this for a while and decided to ask you since you're interested the the timeline, but I've been a little confused about the rain fight day. I've rewatched the ep today and I'm still confused. Like ok so they wake up "super early" with Will trying to make them play. So they play a little and then they fight. Even if they didn't start playing right away, even if they played for hours, there's no way they played the entire day, Will wouldn't have taken them mocking him for hours to no end right? Ok so they fight, let's say between 10am and noon, and then what happened? Did Will go to Castle Byers immediately and stay there in the rain until night??? Did he go home at first and then to Castle Byers? How long did it take for Mike to go after him? Cause when Mike goes after him it's night already. When you watch it, it feels like Mike and Lucas went after Will immediately but if that was the case, then they woke up super early, then played a little, then had a fight, then they went after him and it was suddenly night. I don't get it. I feel dumb lol.

At first, i went "oh, it wasn't nighttime, it was just dark because of the rain," but then i realized that at the same time that will's destroying castle byers, max and el walk in on heather's family (and billy) having dinner/supper. so it was clearly evening. and it's also worth noting that this is the night that the motorbike terminator guy beat the shit out of hopper, and then when hopper's talking to kline the next day, he says "your friend almost killed me last night," implying again that it was night/evening time. this is the clock a bit after the rain fight, when robin cracks the code

I can't read clocks, but if you can, anon, or if anyone else who sees this can, this is the time right after will destroys castle byers/before el and max go in to talk to billy, but also after the rain fight.

i just!!!! what the FUCK!! anon ur brain is huge and this is gonna keep me up tonight, i need answers. because like. i was like "Oh well maybe will just sat at castle byers," but mike seems to go after him pretty quickly, so even if will was sitting at castle byers, mike would have been there and seen him because it seems like he went after will pretty fast??? idk the whole thing is odd!! especially since they went out of their way to have mike complain that it was "so early"
