Today is the 61st Independence Day of Malaysia. Our national flower is hibiscus rosa sinensis, red colour. This hibiscus is the hybrid type but hibiscus still, to mark the most memorable day of Malaysia. I did a major rearrangememt of all my garden's pot today. Pheww... I got a backache now. . Do Malaysia need another Proton
on the 17th July 2018, our beloved PM Tun M, he had an interview regarding the issue of Rakyat dont want a second Proton and was he has this reply “Malaysia becomes a consumer country, a paddy farming and fishing country. It’s OK. This is what we want and this is what we’ll get. Just forget about Vision 2020.” So without a new national car, our country cannot become a develop country? From my point of view, what Malaysia now urgently need is a good 5 - 10 years education plan, our education system wont give us smart and innovative ppl that may in the future help our country in developing advance state of the art cars. Then without this work force we may rely on having foreign engineers coming in to Malaysia just to work on the National Car project.
If you insist on making a new national car, we will fall back in to the state where heavy protection are required to let that national car brand to survive, as Malaysia is a small country with 30mil population, and those that will opt to purchase a local brand cars may be around 10 - 20% of the total population (Mostly youngster who just graduated), the cost of developing (R&D) a vehicle to cater this small percentage of ppl alone is a big loss for any private / public sector to go in.
Besides, as the globalization continues, it is not feasible to start developing our own gearbox or engine anymore, even the car chassis may be share with multiple manufacturer. So if we were to start a new national car, most likely you will sourcing 80% of parts overseas, then the only thing local about it will most likely be the brand only. Makes no different from a fully imported car.
However, currently is also the best timing for development of EV cars where purely run on Electric instead of the petrol, making brands such as Tesla being able to challenge 100 years old big daddy like the Daimler group, I agreed with the perspective out that there if Malaysia were to really go in to a new National car it needs to be EV and something green as this is global trend, also AI driven vehicles. This type of vehicle require government to help (or in other words protection from government) in order to survive in the competitive environment. if Malaysia new national car were to really start, we have a very short time period to get all this started up and as soon as possible export it to the world of right hand driving, this may really help Malaysia. But to succeed in this part our government must be very focus on the task and not repeating the Proton 1.0 mistake.
To conclude, there is no absolution of right and wrong, Malaysian dont want a Proton 2.0 (New national car) because they are fed up with what Proton bring to our country for the pass 30 years, and currently if our mind are set to doing another National Car that is just to compete in the local sector I would said just forget it as it will not yield any benefit long term or short term for Malaysian. But if a new National car is really gonna to be setup, then i seriously hope that our government is focus and strong in developing a future EV car that maybe able to export to worldwide market or just the South East Asia Right Hand Driving market, this will really benefit us and move Malaysia to become a develop country.

8 years ago, I took a photo with today’s most badass man in Malaysia’s history. At 92, this man came out of his retirement, fought hard for his country, and against all odds, achieved what seemed to be impossible by defeating the ruling party and becoming our Prime Minister for the second time. This man is truly a hero and a big inspiration. . Thank you, Tun Mahathir, for giving us hope and a chance for a better future. We love you. ❤️ . #pru14 #malaysiamemilih #tunmahathir #makemalaysiagreatagain (at Malaysia)

Yesterday our new government came out with a new policy which is to make local restaurant chef Malaysian only.
This is a serious issue that should be discuss first with all related parites, from restaurant association to business owners.
Just simply coming out with a policy without consideration of others is no different from our previous BN government.
What will happen to business owners that can’t hired local as chef? Have you consider chef as a job that many local want to work as? So if no chef means the owner have to stop operating and workers may loose job! Ppl surrounding the restaurant have less places to dine in! Government loose more tax income because of it!
I am strongly against this type of ruthless policy which doesn’t consider the whole picture. This is a new beginning for the people of Malaysia. We wish to become better and not repeat the previous government wrong doing.

Malaysia GST issue
For the recent few Parliament meeting GST and SST debate, PKR is saying that SST will make things cheaper but on the other hand the opposition BN is fighting that SST will increase goods prices.
From and economical point of view, SST will not make things cheaper, it is based on 10% and GST is 6%, the difference is 4% so no matter how u deduct 4% is always gone to stay 4% more expensive. However, one can argue that SST is not implement on each stage and not all product are gonna have SST, this remain truth, but anything from the pass that have GST and now convert to SST will definitely be more expensive. So the real world situation in Malaysia, why GST was such a failure and did not reduce the prices as it was intended to. On its early stage thousand or million of local businessman was force to invest into GST system, cost on the management and operation part has increase a lot compare to the pass SST system. This was the initial problem that cause the Rakyat to feel that GST was a burden at the start.  Then came the second stage where merchant and business owner start to feel the pressure, as GST practice from the manufacturing till the end consumer each level have to paid 6%, and there will be an input and output tax during this period, business such as the manufacturer purchasing the raw materials will have to paid the GST out front when they buy the raw materials from their suppliers, then when they sell the finish product they will have to bill their customer with the 6% on top of their goods, so basically the initial 6% for raw material money need to be offset by the 6% of out going goods. The balance in between will be the part where u need to actually paid the government.
Each time the business paid the money, you will have to wait for Government to rebate you the extra GST the business have paid them, but the actual case in Malaysia is this GST money usually takes 6 months to claim back.
Normal traditional distribution and trading where they rely on turn over to earn their profit will first face money being stuck and no cash flow to turn around. As a margin that is around 10 - 15% and with credit term practice here in Malaysia where 30 - 45 days you only can get the payment, means a lot of this business man are required to up front paid the 6% (assuming they do their GST on a monthly basis). Imagine doing business in such a situation where the government will kill their tax payer first by taking away their cash flow. In order to survive some of this business owner either have to change their method in to cash term, or increase their margin to offset the cost where government take your money to spin for an additional 6 month with zero interest.
Hence the above situation total destroy the GST system in Malaysia, from making cost of living lower, to putting ppl out of business and increase rakyat cost of living.
Do you think if our Pakatan Harapan Government can lower the cost of living when the debt of the country is so high until they have to squeeze every bit out to paid for the interest? And if they went back to the GST practice, will the claim back of 6% GST for business be done in 30 days instead of 6 months?
