i LOVE the iceman dating headcannons - can we have cyclone dating headcannons pls 🙏🙏🙏 i am in such a cyclone mood atm it’s unbelievable
Dating headcanons — Beau "Cyclone" Simpson
Pairing: Beau "Cyclone" Simpson x reader
Warnings: Slight mentions of insecurities and trauma.
a/n: Hello and thank you! I really enjoyed writing this!
If you haven't already, please check out the general Cyclone headcanons I posted a while back, as there are more than a few references to them in this post!
The first several months of your relationship will be the toughest.
He's terribly guarded and has all but forgotten how to let anyone in.
You'll honestly just have to wait him out. Meeting him where he is and proving to him that you're in it for the long haul.
When he finally starts to let you in is when your relationship gets very serious.
He's quite traditional in how he views his (and only his!) role in a relationship.
On the flip side, he expects next to nothing from you and is wholly grateful for you even just being with him.
I headcanon that he's had to look after himself since a pretty early age, and is used to just kind of... getting by?
Like he's extremely put together on a professional front, but on a personal one, he's an "eating a shitty frozen microwave meal in front of the TV on a Friday night" kinda man.
Not that he couldn't take better care of himself, he just found putting all that effort in for one person a bit depressing.
Now given the opportunity, he's an absolute dream to date
He's paying all the bills, doing the home repairs/improvements, taking your car to the shop, etc.
If you protest this, he will sit you down and quite literally tell you that "your money is your money, and my money is also your money."
And like I said, he expects nothing in return.
However, if you do want to do something to make his life easier, like pack his lunch or iron his uniform, he'd be a goner.
It's also in these small gestures that he best shows his love.
Doing the tasks you dislike, knowing your preferences, anticipating the things you'll need to complete, and making your life just a bit easier is where he shines.
At each restaurant and cafe you go to he has your order memorized.
He is the best cook and will cook for you whenever he has time
He's totally the breakfast-in-bed type too!
Will probably have stayed up late the night before to bake a loaf of brioche for french toast, and will serve it to you on a fancy wooden breakfast tray (that he handmade) with a fresh flower from the garden because that's just the kind of man he is.
If you offer him any he'll refuse, instead preferring to have you fuss over him and his habit of having nothing but a single cup of black coffee for breakfast.
He will, however, accept bacon. Thick cut, cherry smoked.
His desk both on base and at home is covered in pictures of you.
Like Iceman, he isn't jealous, but very protective.
This is also the only point of contention in your relationship.
He has some insecurities and would be absolutely devastated If you were to vie for others' attention or flirt back with them.
Ironically, he absolutely loves to show you off; and will use any such occasion to spoil you.
Will tell you stories from his various deployments.
And cherishes the way you squeeze his hand when the tougher memories come back.
Very nearly worked himself into a worry the first time you were going to stay at his place.
Now he struggles to sleep without you beside him.
Loves nothing more than to cuddle up with you in bed or on the couch.
More often than not, you'll end your day just like that.
With the added bonus of him reading whatever book he's been reading aloud to you.
Will 100% take you on bookstore dates!
He'll order himself a coffee in the cafe before happily setting you free with his wallet.
Will happily carry and/or guard the stacks of books you pick out.
If you happen to pick out a book or two for him, he'll get almost bashful??
Knowing you not only cared enough but paid enough attention to his interests to know just what he'd like hits him directly in his soft spot.
Each year he takes you back home to Alaska.
It's one of the few times you get to see his personality shine in private and in public.
The trips are only a few weeks long at the most.
Although as the days pass, you both secretly hope to get snowed in for the whole winter.
These trips have spawned not only some of your favorite memories as a couple, but moving back there with you in tow has become his retirement plan.

hewwoo im not sure if you are taking asks hehe . how does the members take care of young little rosie when she newly debuted ,
. . . ♡ ROSIE ! ? 🪷 HEADCANNONS ★ ゚๑
ׁ ׅ ୨ ❪ seventeen! ❫ ୧ ⊹ ࣪
© 2023 , svt-rosalie rosalie masterlist!
author note! decided to just do the hyung line for this ask (sorry) but if you want the maknae line vers. i’ll do that sometime soon, you’ll just have to remind me <3
୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ seungcheol
he always, always walked her to school!
cheol was worried about the fact that she would lose her way to school and she would be alone.
so instead he woke up at 5 o’clock every morning with her and walked her hand in hand to the school 6 blocks away.
rosie would blabber away about what she’s looking foward to that day of school whilst seungcheol just smiles
gives her a hug and kiss on the forehead once they get to the gate!
he definitely doesn’t glare at the boys and girls that are giving rosie compliments on her hair, makeup, shoes, ect. that don’t sound very platonic
screams “i love you my rosebud! have a good day. study hard!” when she’s only like 10 feet away, embarrassing her for the whole day!
୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ jeonghan
jeonghan’s the one that made sure she is up on time for anything and everything.
rosie sleeps like a rock, so no alarm or noise will wake her up. one time vernon thought she was dead.
jeonghan was the only one that could her up at the time and it was his designated role!
hannie would lay out her school uniform already ironed and steamed. the other boys definitely got jealous of this but what can jeonghan say, rosie is the favorite!
and jeonghan is proud to announce it.
jeonghan would make sure her bag was packed and that all her homework due that day was in the correct folder.
rosie is big on being neat. everything is color coded
୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ joshua
shua would keep an eye on her during music shows.
rosie gets distracted easily and would wonder around speaking to other artist or employees and that led to joshua being in charge of her
he wanted to buy one of those like backpack leashes but was told it was stupid so he didn’t
he really wanted to though
joshua also (don’t let anybody know) would sing rosie to sleep
rosie would have a hard time being away from her parents and joshua would lay next to the girl while her head is on his chest and sing/hum different songs
sometimes rosie would teach him classic french songs so he could sing her to sleep with them
୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ junhui
cooked and made her lunches every single day. and i mean every single day.
he always made sure she ate
he knew how strenuous her diet was compared to the boys and it just didn’t seem fair
so junnie would always sneak in snacks he knew the managers wouldn’t approve of and made sure she ate them
as well as drank as much water as she needed knowing she would forget some times
rosie is his little baby and he never wanted her to have bad memories to look back on during her debut days, only the good
୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ hoshi
hoshi was never helpful when it came to school but always took care of her during practice
rosie tended to overwork herself, she is a big perfectionist!
and hoshi noticed that some nights she would stay past the time needed just constantly working on parts she thought was wrong but hoshi couldn’t see the problem
hoshi would always give her encouraging words and let her know she was doing amazing!
which was enough for rosie.
knowing that hoshi thought she was doing great and that her rhythm fit well with the choreography was enough to stop her overthinking mind
୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ wonwoo
wonwoo was still is rosie’s favorite during and before their debut era
reason being is because, wonwoo would help with her homework and i mean help, he would do it all for her
half the reason she passed her korean literacy class was because of wonwoo!
besides that though, wonwoo was very helpful with her school work and always made sure that she took care of her mental and physical health before he pressured her into finishing her homework and then going to tutoring
he also would lie about the fact that he allowed rosie to play games when she was suppose to be asleep
everyone knows but wonwoo will never admit it
୭ৎ ࣪ ׅ woozi
(un)surprisingly enough woozi was rosie’s rock, you could say, during debut
when rosie would get hateful message sent via social media and through the company, woozi always ALWAYS stood up for her
and no matter how busy he was, he would attend all of rosie’s events big or small
instead of helping her with school he would help her with her lyrics that she so badly wanted to write
because in rosie’s words she wants to be just as poetic with her lyrics as jihoon is with his
jihoon liked to think he was rosie’s favorite during this time despite how much he teased her
he always made sure she knew her worth when it came down to it though and taught her to NEVER let somebody else (the haters) define who she has to be
because being seventeen’s rosebud is enough

Please let me know if there is anything that I may have missed, as well at this is very vaguely proofed. In no way shape or form do I give permission for anyone to republish or repost my work on other sites without my consent and full credit given.
This morning was no different than yesterday. Your alarm goes off at five and yet you lay in bed for another five minutes before rolling over to let your feet hit the soft shag purple carpet you begged your parents to put in. You shuffle around your room for another ten minutes trying to collect the things you need for a hot shower like a towel.
And then you pad down the hall to the bathroom attempting not to wake your dad. The cold metal knobs of the shower shock you ever time, twisting the hot water on and then the cold just enough to your liking. Slowing peel your silk pajamas off and step into the water letting the warmth wake you to your fullest.
Rinsing the last of the soap off your body you twist the knobs off and tear back the curtain the cold air always seemed to help wake you up. Pulling the towel for the rack you wrap it around your body before reaching for the towel for you hair. Stepping onto the plush bath mat you dry your feet before opening the door and making your way back into your bedroom. Locking the door and grabbing a Metallica record out of your collect before turning up the volume just low enough to hear through the door.
Putting your cheer uniform on for the day, drying and doing your hair promptly with your cheer bow, and applying makeup. By now your dad’s usually awake you can hear him making his way down stairs but just before he does he stops out side of your door telling you he’s making coffee if you’d like some. Most days you decline but on days like today where you felt like you really needed it you tell him thank you and that you’d be down in a few minutes.
Onto the next step of your daily routine, your knees firmly planted onto your plush purple carpet as you dig under your bed for your metal lunch box. The one one dawned in Smokey the bear telling you that ‘Only you can prevent forest fires’ quite ironic actually, your dad thinks you pack your lunch in it. But in reality you keep your weed stash tucked away, it hidden just behind an old shoe box under your bed. Grabbing ahold on the clanky handle you retrieve it and make your way over to your desk to pre roll a few.
This wasn’t routine, you’re running low on weed. And after learning yesterday that you’ve been getting ripped off by Jeremy McCoy you weren’t the happiest camper. “For fucks sake.” You mutter, not wanting to alert your dad of your dismay or your ‘stress relief’ stash.
You rolled what you could with what you had left, like four. Slamming the lid of the lunch box closed and swiftly locking the latches before tossing it into your awaiting book bag by your feet. Zipping that closed as well before tossing a strap over your shoulder, shutting your record player off and checking your makeup one last time before heading downstairs.
You dad sat at the head of the table morning paper between his hands covering his face from view. A hot cup of coffee steaming on the table in front of him, he leaned the paper forward just enough to view you as you walked in.
”Good morning, sweetheart. Your cups sitting on the island just the way ya like it. And your allowance is there as well.” He smiles before lifting the paper back up to continue where he left off.
“Thanks dad.” You had the smallest of smiles on your face.
You haven’t had the best relationship since your mom moved out a few months ago, but you both tried to make it work. Never getting in each others way within the house and keeping conversations to a minimum almost like roommates in an odd way. More times than not he was normally out the door before you would leave for school, always just leaving your allowance on the counter.
You took a few large sips of your coffee until you glanced over at the clock above the stove, realizing that it was now almost 7 and you’d have to leave soon. Grabbing the cash of the counter top needing to put it in your coin purse.
“Dad? Have you seen my keys?” You asked from the hallway.
“They should be either hanging up by the door or in the bowl in the hallway.
Another daily thing, not remembering where you put your keys. Even though the night before you would have sworn you had hung them up or thrown them on the kitchen counter for the morning retrieval.
”Found ‘em! Also don’t wait up for me I’ve got a game after school.” Hand on the front door knob twisting it before pulling it open.
”Wasn’t planning on it gotta stay late at work.”
Your dad did work as a lawyer stayed late most nights but he brought enough money in to never have to worry so you never really minded. You nodded your head even though you knew he wasn’t even paying attention to you as you closed the door behind you.
Tossing your bag in the passenger seat as you closed the door, car coming alive with the turn of a key. Deciding to change your Kate Bush cassette out for one of the ones hidden under your passenger seat, todays blind choice was - you looked at the label - Slayer’s new album Show No Mercy. Tossing Kate bush onto your passenger seat for quick retrieval for when you pulled into the school parking lot.
You’d be caught dead if any of your friends knew what kind of music you listened to. Would totally ruin your cheerleader reputation and your spot as cheer captain with the way some of the girls on the team have been acting as of recently. Some of them knew of your light work with weed but in their eyes it was only at parties and you would like it to stay that way.
The drive to school was never terrible humming along to whatever music you decided to play that day got you into a good mood. The still warm late summer breeze blowing through your open windows was also a plus to your morning commute.
The school parking lot was hustling and bustling as it always did approaching first period, ejecting the slayer cassette before grabbing the one you had tossed onto your passenger seat and inserting it as you drove into the parking lot. Slayer then got tossed onto the floor for you to shove under the seat later. Finding an open parking spot was easier said than done especially since you ended up running a few minutes behind this morning.
Thankfully finding one on the far end, un thankfully next to a ratty two-tone beat up looking van. Eddie Munsons van. The same van he just happened to be sitting in right now. With the car in park, you leaned over into your passenger seat to grab the cassette up from the floor and tuck it back into its hiding spot under the seat. You could hear the bell ring in the process signaling the start of first period, which also now meant that you were late.
Which also means that Eddie was late and you could catch him before while no one was around to see. Plucking the keys from the ignition and you bag from the passenger seat you climbed out of your car closing the door behind you. Eddie paid you no mind as you looked at him through the passenger window so you decided to give it a small knock with your knuckle.
Eddie paid you no mind as the loud music played around him as he rolled a joint. Taking matters into your own hands you opened the door and climbed in slamming the door in the process. Immediately reaching for the radio to turn the loud volume down.
”Eddie! For Christ sake first bell already rang and I’ve been knocking on the window.”
“Jeez princess, sure you wanna get caught in the Shaggin Wagon?”
You roll your eyes with a huff, “The only shag in here is the carpet on the floor. But seriously I need to ask you something.”
”No.” He stared with a blank expression as he continued to roll his joint.
”Huh? You don’t even know what I was going to ask you.” You sat bewildered.
“As much a banging a cheerleader is top priority on my list it’s not gonna happen.”
You let out a scoff, “Ugh as if! I was gonna ask for weed but at this point I’d rather be over paying from McCoy.” You had pulled the handle to open the door it released with a click. Hopping out and slamming the door before Eddie could even plead his case. Stomping your way across the courtyard and into the school.
Classes have gone and went, thankfully your first period teacher didn’t mark you absent for the day since you were late. But now was on to lunch, making a short stop at your locker with a few of the other cheerleaders to drop off some books you made your way into the cafeteria.
Standing in line you all got your food and made your way to your designated table with all the other girls. You sat across from Chrissy and next to Madeline two of your favorite underclass men. Madeline was a girl of average height, with brown hair that fell just past her shoulders in perfect curls when she didn’t have it pulled back into a pony tail. She was a quite bubbly girl along side Chrissy. Chrissy has a personality just as bright as her blonde hair, a little ball of sunshine as you will. Both girls were a year below you but when they had tried out for the cheer team their freshman year you all just clicked, inviting them to parties and sleepovers and driving them around in your car on occasions, even going to the mall regularly when it was still open. You wouldn’t trade these girls for the world, you quite literally took them under your wing.
“Hello girls! Did ya miss me all day?” You smiled while getting situated at the table next to Madeline.
They both let out giggles. “Of course we did,” Chrissy said she picked around at her french fries never actually eating any of them.
“We missed you at practice yesterday, what happened?” Glancing up from your tray at Madeline’s question.
“Oh Mads I meant to call you last night and explain. Had really bad cramps, barely made it home.” Both girls nodded in understanding, it wasn’t uncommon for some of the girls to sit out or not show if nature called.
Chrissy light up with a smile, “Well hey at least you’re feeling better today. Especially since we have the game tonight.” You nodded your head at you dipped a French fry into your ketchup before eating it.
A hand slid its way onto your shoulder not thinking anything of it. “There’s my little lady.” A sultry voice came from behind you.
”Jeremy, I’m not your lady. And I don’t know how many more times I have to tell you this.” You swiped his hand off your shoulder not even having to look behind you to know who it was.
Looking down as you pushed your french fries around with your manicured finger. “No, but you could be if you’d go out with me this Friday.” Both of his hands now resting on your shoulders giving them a little squeeze as he gently rocked you back and forth.
You happen to look up and meet the eyes of none other than Eddie across a few tables, not even paying attention to his friends around him in conversation, a look on his face that you couldn’t read but you got an idea. Turning your head to look up at Jeremy. “Actually, you know what Jeremy. I will go out with you this Friday.” A bright smile written across your features, scrunching up your nose in a cute manner.
At that moment in time Jeremy McCoy looked as if he just won the lottery, eyes wide and fist pumping in the air. He just about ran his way over to the other basketball players to rejoice. Getting high fives and chest bumps from the other jocks. “Fuck yeah she said yes!” Turning your head back to look at Eddie, you smirked. Two could play this game.
Lunch finished up by now you and all the girls got up to throw whatever was left in to the trash, said your goodbyes and headed off to your lockers before your next classes. By the time you made your way to your locker there was a freshman standing waiting for you looking to be out of breathe and just slightly sweaty. He looked like one of the boys that were sat at the table with Eddie.
You pretended not to notice him as you began twisting the dial of your lock to put in the combination. He cleared his throat trying to get you to acknowledge him. “I’m sorry can I help you with something are you lost?” Looking him in the eyes.
He felt tense under your gaze. “Uh oh no! I’m not lost.”
You opened your locker and began grabbing the books you needed for your next classes. “Then what do you want?” You asked blankly. “Uh Ed, Eddie wanted me to give you this.” He stuttered as he stuck his hand out a note grasped in his fingers. You’re reached out to grab it your fingers grazing his unknowingly you could almost see him shriver at the touch. Taking the note and before you even got it fully in your grasp the boy turned and sped off down the long crowded hallway. You didn’t have time to read it now as the bell began to ring signaling to get to class, so you just finished grabbing your books and headed off to class.
Taking your seat in chemistry you placed your books on your desk and your bookbag on the ground next to the legs of your chair. You had a few minutes before Mrs.Humphrey started classes so you opened the note.
Meet me at the picnic table after your stupid game
-E
You couldn’t help but slightly chuckle, you were 0-1 already. He was wrapped around your finger already and you’ve barely even started.
Classes were rearing to an end as the final bell was set to go off and kids were waiting to rush to the gymnasium for the start of the basketball game. You met up with Madeline and Chrissy at your locker after the final bell rang, you had about thirty minutes before the game and cheer routine was set to start but you had forgotten your pompoms in your car.
You dug your keys out of your book bag before closing your locker. “I left my poms in my car I’ll meet you guys in the gym.” Looking over your shoulder.
Both girls let out an ‘alright’ as they went to walk off down the hall through the sea of students. Pushing your way through the large heavy front doors or the school you made your way across the asphalt to your cherry red car shining beautifully in the sun. Climbing into the leather seat to try and relax for a moment. To no avail you couldn’t relax not without a pre roll, but there’s no way you could go in there smelling like reefer ricks place not with most of the student body in attendance tonight. So you slugged your way out of the seat to pop the hatch of your car to retrieve the things you came looking for in the first place.
You could feel the vibration of everyone in the bleachers before you made your way into the gymnasium, b-lining right for the cheerleader section front and center on the bottom two rows of bleachers. You caught the eye of Buckley up in the band section, you smiled and waved well more of like shook your pompom at her before you took your seat next to Evelyn the current cheer captain. Robin was a nice girl, you had a few classes with her, even did a few class projects together. Even running into her at Scoops Ahoy! back when StarCourt Mall was up and running before the fire. She’s a bit awkward in a blurted stuff out kinda way but a sweet girl non the less some might even say a friend.
“Robin was that-“ Robin cut Steve off before he got the chance to finish his sentence.
”Yes Steve, yes it was.” Steve had a ‘tell me everything’ look on his face.
”She was my partner in English and biology once. Nothing crazy.” Robin gave a crooked smile.
”Nothing crazy Robin? The soon to be cheer captain stopping to smile and wave at you before a big game!” Robins shoulder jumped to her ears.
“Steve shush!” She tried to get him to lower his voice so attention wasn’t drawn to them both.
The loud voice of the principal was heard over the microphone interrupting their conversation. “Welcome students and faculty to the Hawkins Tigers basketball game!” He paused as the loud rawr of applause rang out through the gym, sending vibrations through out the floor and walls. The cheer team stomping their feet and ruffling their pom poms together with bright smile on their faces. “Go Tigers! Woo!”
The principal continued, “If you’d all stand and take your hats off for the National anthem!”
You and the rest of the cheer team stood before turning around to place your poms on the bleachers where each of you were sat. Placing a hand over your heart as a girl who looked like a muppet sang the national anthem very poorly if you might add.
She finished the song and you couldn't help but wince at her screeching voice. Turning back around for your Pom poms quickly you and the rest again stomped your feet as loud as you all could and ruffled your poms together.
During half time was the girls time to shine. Doing the dance routine just like you’ve all been practicing for weeks. Hearts thumping, girls jumping and flipping all over the court. Pom Poms ruffling, the team shouting chants. You finished off the routine with doing a full gymnastic routine you’ve been working extremely hard on, a front handspring, step out, round off back handspring, step out, round off back handspring, full twisted layout.
Your landing places you directly in the middle of the gym floor, flipping your hair back with your head raised high a giant smile on your face. Everyone hooted and hollered with a round of applause for your excellent performance. Retrieving your pompoms off the floor rushing back over towards the bleachers. Looking up into the crowed to wave at Robin again before the band started to play, catching the look of Steve “The King” Harrington standing next to her the biggest grin on his face as he looks down at you and waves.
You and Steve had your fair share of run ins even though he graduated last year. Being paired for beer pong a few times at his infamous party’s or even running into him and Robin every now and again at Family Video when the newest movies that you’re dying to see come out. No one would exactly call your relationship together as being friends more of acquaintances if that at all.
You grabbed a water bottle off of your coach before returning to your place in the bleachers the game clock slowly ticking down to the eventual ending. The loud buzzers erupted and cheers echoed through the crowd as you looked to see that Lucas Sinclair had scored the winning basket. The team enveloped Lucas in hugs and shouts of success, the entire student body clapped and yelling loudly as the opposing team bowed their heads in defeat.
After everyone said congratulations and their goodbyes you bobbed and weaved through the large crowd on the floor attempting to find at least one of the cheerleaders to give thank you’s and to wish them a good night but large bodies bumped you in every direction until you got pushed into someone. Turning your body to apologize dread written across your face, “Oh my I am so sorry!”
“Oh no you’re totally fine! Was completely my fault.” A girlish awkward voice sounded off.
“Robin, seriously if there’s anything I can make up for it?” You attempted to plead your case once you realized who it was. “When do you work next I can stop in and bring you and Steve lunch?”
”You don’t have to do that just making sure a pretty girl doesn’t fall. Lik- like in a friendly manner of course. The cheer team would have my head if you got hurt on my watch.” You noticed her trumpet clasped tightly in her hands, her awkwardly babbling out apologies.
“Well I greatly appreciate it Robin. Seriously though maybe we could have a girls day actually get to hang out instead of running into eachother.” You kicked the toe of your shoe off the linoleum flooring.
The crowd still was buzzing around you both until realization set in. “Oh fuck! Sorry but I’m late for something.” You turned to start walking away. “If you see Madeline ask her for my number!” You yelled off behind you Robin just nodded her head as a yeah of saying okay.
”Holy shit.” Robin muttered in awe as she stared after your form pushing and ducking under people’s arms to get through the crowd.
You had safely maneuvered through through the thick crowd and had made it to your locker unscathed, thankfully. Retrieving your book bag you made your way out into the parking lot watching people get into their cars and leaving. You pulled your special lunch box out before tossing your book bag and Pom poms into the passenger seat and slamming the door. You checked over your shoulder before making the trek over to the forest line to the dirt path you know like the back of your hand. This was the perfect time to light one up right after the first winning basket ball game of the season. Pausing on the path you unlatched the box balancing it on your forearm as you grabbed out what you needed and a lighter before flicking open your zippo letting the tip burn bright red before snapping the zippo closed and locking up the box. Holding it back down at your side the cold metal brushed up against your leg as you took slow antagonizing steps.
Eddie almost thought you weren’t going to show, maybe that you had gone off with the two friends of yours or maybe even to a party because who knows what you popular people do. Maybe you didn’t care that McCoy was over charging you, or maybe not even charging you at all after the show he put on at lunch. Maybe you and your friends were at your house having a sleepover, the one you talk about boys and wear little skimpy pajamas and have sexy pillow fights and playing truth or dare where you all end up kissing. God would Eddie love to watch that. Hell he’d be drooling and begging in his knees for front row tickets if you’d let him. No no, she thinks he’s a major creep, number one clown at the fun house circus. Down at capital loser, population one. So much to his surprise you sauntered out from behind the bushes blocking the end of the dirty path almost tripping over a stick that definitely wasn’t there yesterday.
You may or may not have ended up walking super dooper slow so you’d be able to savor your three out of four joints. Pausing a few times to giggle at the trees or missing your step over some loose rocks on the trail. Your eyes locked with Eddie’s, and all of a sudden you could feel your blood pumping the thumping of your heart. But that’s normally how you feel when you get higher than Willie Nelson, and that alone made you giggle just thinking about it. Eddie looked at you confused when you began laughing softly as you made your slow venture over to the table to sit down.
“You look like you’ve been having fun.” Eddie motioned towards you.
“Can’t believe you had a child hand deliver me a note.” You said in an almost matter of fact tone.
”Well hey it worked didn’t it?” He fiddled with one of his bracelets on his wrist.
”Yeah I guess it did. So’d you call me out her to apologize for this morning or are you still thinking with your other head?” Eddie laughed at your question as he shook his head yes.
”Maybe I am, would you like to find out?”
His joking tone helped ease the tension between the two of you. Cleared the air if you will.
“Well I’m waiting Munson.” You laughed. “ I wanna hear you say it.”
”And what are you waiting to to hear.” Confused was all Eddie could muster in his head.
”Say the magic word.” You waved your hands around as if to help him conjure the words.
”Magi- Oh!” It was as if a lightbulb went off above his head. “I’m sorry.”
You shook your head with a smile. “ Nope.” You said while popping the p to add emphasis on the word. Again confusion washed across his face as he tried to rack his brain in what exactly you could be attempting to get him to say. He said he was sorry what more could you want him to say?
”Alright, princess I’m sorry.” He felt a blush rush up his neck and across his cheeks ending at the tip of his ears, he couldn’t have been more grateful that his hair is covering them completely.
”Bingo!” You said loudly into the air. “Now was that so hard to say?”
He shook his head, his hair brushing his shoulders. “No, I guess not. But are you gonna help me smoke this or what.” He pulled out a joint from his lunch box and held it in front of you ready for the taking.
You and Eddie lit up and passed it back and forth in conversation, he brought up what happened during lunch and you explained how McCoy had asked you out on a date Friday and Eddie couldn’t help the sinking feeling in his stomach. You had asked about your mom and how she’s been doing, as you haven’t gotten the heart to go visit her yourself. Not after what happened at least, you couldn’t barely stay on the line when she called the house and you inevitably answered the phone thinking that it was one of your friends. Immediately hanging the phone up once she started talking, and you knew it was wrong but so is what she did. You had opened up to Eddie more about your mom tonight than you ever have even to your dad, you had came clean about how she cheated and how you were the one to catch her and how she was doing it for years before anyone had found out. And about how you were the one to eventually tell your dad after the guilt started to eat at you after the first few days of holding that massive secret; and you would never begin to comprehend on why she had done it after she had gotten everything handed to her from your father everything from cars to vacations to extravagant dinners out in Indianapolis.
By now you and Eddie were lounged across the top of the table shoulder to shoulder with both of your feet propped up in the bench seat, looking up at the sky. Laid there in silence just enjoying the comfortable company from one another hearing one another’s breathe in the night’s air, the leather from his jacket brushing up on your arm it making you shiver slightly with how cool it was to the touch. Turning your head to gaze at him fully taking in his features, the slight freckles dusting his face and the way his curls fall. Not realizing you had been just laying there staring at him until you caught his eye and he smiled, the dimples that so wonderfully graced his cheeks, they were adorable.
”Whatcha looking at princess?” His eyes scanned your face for a moment before his gazed landed on your lips. Still a slight shine on them from the lipgloss you had on earlier that you had wiped off before you started smoking together. Even though Eddie had told you that you didn’t have to he didn’t mind it, you did it out of common courtesy.
”Just trying to figure out why I’ve hated you for so long.” Eddie of course laughed out loud at that one. His shoulders shaking from it as he clutched his stomach. His laughter was contagious enough that you had started laughing along with him, although it might have just been the weed making everything so funny to you both. You both had been laying there what felt like hours laughing on and off sharing funny stories until you had both finally calmed down heads turned facing each other, noses almost touching as his breathe fanned your face. You stared into each others eyes before you had glanced down at his lips. You felt as if it was the right thing to do in the moment so you went for it, your hand rested on his cheek as you leaned in the rest of the way as your soft lips landed on his. You didn’t stay there long pulling away after a few seconds went by you opened your eyes to see Eddie’s wide in you didn’t actually know what emotion. You sat up quickly and collected whatever was on the table of yours before throwing it into your lunch box and locked it up tight. Hopping off of the table your sneakers connected with the grass with a small thump.
“Fuck I- I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. ” Was all you said before you ran away back to your car, Eddie was too shocked to speak to even mutter a word. He sat up and tried to stop you but nothing came out of his mouth, he couldn’t move. Short time had passed where he just sat there before he put his face in his hands and sighed.
“Way to go Eddie.” He muttered into his hands.
As quickly as you pulled into your driveway was just as quick as you got into the house and up to your room, your dad still wasn’t home as you hadn’t seen his car in the driveway when you pulled in. You had kicked your shoes off before flopping onto your bed face into the pillow and let out a small scream kicking your feet into your mattress. “Why in the fuck did you do that!” You screamed into your pillow.
The sound of the phone on your nightstand dragged you out of your pillow, your stomach sunk thinking about what you and Eddie had talked about earlier that night, what if it was your mom? Would you stay on the line would you have anything to say to her? After the thrift ring you picked it up, holding it against your ear you waited for her voice but it didn’t come. This was someone else, was it Eddie? No you don’t remember ever giving it to him. Oh, maybe it was Robin, you had told her to get it from Madeline if she happened to see her.
“He-hello?” You said quietly into the phone but all you could hear was weird static, maybe almost a dinging noise, kind of like an old clock. The ones you would find an old house like your grandma’s house. What really out you on edge is when the dinging started to gradually grow louder. You slammed the phone down on the receiver, and took a large breath to try and calm the nerves that creepy sound just gave you.

Aroace Hunter Week Day 3: Cupid Missed
“Batten down the hatches.”
Luz jumped as Hunter slammed the window shut. “Hunter, wh—”
“Hooty, lockdown.”
“Aye, aye, sir!”
Metal shutters began to crash down over the windows, and iron spikes shot out of the ground outside.
“Hunter, what are you doing?”
“Luz, I’m sorry, but you cannot have any contact with Amity for the next two weeks.”
“What?!”
“Where’s Eda?”
“She’s out with Raine.”
Hunter hissed in. “Then it’s already too late for her. I’m sorry. But for your safety, King’s safety, and my own safety, she can’t come into this house.”
“Wha—Hunter, slow down and tell me what is going on?! Aren’t you supposed to be at Darius’ house this weekend? Also, Hooty, take the house out of lockdown.”
“Hooty, do not. I’m sorry for coming unannounced, but the Deamonne house is compromised. Darius got stung this morning and was already trying to sign us up for matching mani pedis by lunch. It’s too late for him.”
“Stung by what? And I think a matching mani pedi would be cute.”
“Stung by Apis Cupidis. Commonly known as cupid’s arrow, eros’ bee, or, in the human realm, the lovebug. Once stung by a lovebug, victims quickly spiral into a state of emotional mushiness, pack bonding with anything around them, hanging on their significant others, doting on their children, and refusing to be separated from friends.”
“Awwwwwwwwww. Maybe you getting stung by a lovebug would be a good thing. I think it would be nice if you and Darius did some bonding. This is probably the most openly affectionate he’ll ever be.”
“I refuse to take advantage of his compromised state. This may sound cute to you, but most serious injuries during lovebug season occur due to fighting between friends and partners of shared people. You need to stay hidden, if Eda, King, Willow, Gus, and Amity get stung… they’ll rip you apart. And I shudder to think what the effects of a lovebug could be on you, an already affectionate human.”
“And you?”
“I have combat training. If I get stung, I cannot be held responsible for any hospitalizations and/or deaths. No, we need to stay in here, in lockdown.”
“And I can’t see Amity becauuuuuuuse?”
“They’re attracted to displays of affection. You’ll be swarmed in seconds.”
Luz leaned back against the couch. “Are you sure they didn’t already get you and your response isn’t just overprotectiveness?”
Hunter froze, his eyes darting back and forth. “Oh my titan,” he whispered, “Am I compromised?”
“Hunter, that was a joke, it was a—”
“I’m going to check for sting sites. If I try to leave to go on that mani pedi with Darius, I need you to knock me out.”
He dashed off to the bathroom, and Luz shook her head. “Hooty, unlock the house.”
No response.
“Hooooty?”
Hooty stuck his head in the window. “Luz! We should make friendship bracelets! I don’t have hands, but I bet I can still do it.”
“Hooty, are you… being normal affectionate, or lovebug affectionate?”
“I should stretch all of the way to Lulu’s! Oh, also, I brought you a friend from outside!”
Hooty hacked, and a small, pink bee buzzed out of his mouth.
“Augh!”
Luz bolted for the bathroom. “Huuuuuunter! Hunter, let me in, let me in, Hooty’s compromised, I repeat, Hooty is compromised!”
The door swung open, and Hunter yanked Luz inside, slamming the door shut again. The bee buzzed in under the door, and Hunter slammed a glass down over it, quickly cramming a towel between the door and the floor to block the gap.
“That was close. It didn’t… get you… did it?”
Luz shook her head, gasping. “Thanks. Should we just… squash it?”
Hunter shook his head. “The aroma of its crushed body will attract more of them to the area.”
“Great.”
Hunter sat on the closed toilet and curled his knees to his chest, toes gripping the edge of the lid. “I hate lovebug season,” he grumbled.
“Oh, have you… have you ever been stung before?”
“Oh, no. The golden guard uniform didn’t leave any exposed skin for them to get. And… they’ve never been drawn towards me anyway. But they were forever stinging scouts, nothing ever got done.” He tapped the glass. “Little monsters. But no, I never had a problem with being stung. Or… having anyone cling to me after they’d been stung.”
Oh.
Oh.
“Oh—Hunter, I’m so sorry.”
“What for?”
“That no one… that must have felt lonely.”
“Oh. Well, at least I never had to quarantine like this before. I’m just worried…” Hunter twisted his hands together. “I don’t want to act like an idiot.”
Luz grabbed the glass. “Well, you know what?”
“Luz—what are you doing. Luz—”
“I’m not scared of acting like an idiot.” Luz lifted the glass, holding her finger out next to the little bug.
“What are you trying to prove?!”
Luz winced as the little bug stung her. “That people care about you now.”
Hunter swatted the bug as it tried to get close to him, trapping it under a glass again. “That’s—you’re ridiculous, did you know that?”
“Awwwwwwww, you love that about me.”
“No, I do not. Especially when it makes you do stupid things like get stung by a bug you might be allergic to.”
A warm, fuzzy feeling spread all over Luz’s body, starting at her stung finger, and she hugged Hunter’s arm. “See, you do care.”
“Me currently caring about you and others is exactly the reason why I do not want to be out and about right now with all of the bees that sting people who care.”
“Awwwwwwwwwwww.”
“No, not aw, Luz.” Hunter pulled the stinger out of her finger. “You’re reckless.”
“One of my most charming qualities.”
“Absolutely not. Most heart attack inducing quality, maybe.”
Hunter opened the bathroom door, looking all around for Hooty before leading Luz to the living room. “Sit down, don’t move, and do not go outside. I’m keeping you contained until it’s over. Oh, and I checked. I am NOT stung. Cupid’s arrow has missed.” He drew an ice glyph. “For your finger. It’s swelling. You’re probably allergic.”
“Darn.”
“I’m not letting myself get stung, by the way. Although your grand gesture is much appreciated.”
“Oh. Hunter, I…” Luz shook her head. “I didn’t get stung to encourage you to get yourself stung. You don’t have to, being all… explosion of affection… isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. You don’t have to be like that, I don’t want you to be like that if you’re uncomfortable with it. I just…”
“Wanted to go into a state of magically induced affection to prove to me that I’m lovable? I think I got the hint when Eber tried to groom my hair and Darius tried to squeeze both of us to death.” Hunter shuddered. “The culprit is probably still buzzing around the house.”
“Oh.”
“But… thanks anyway. And for what it’s worth, I care about you, too.” Hunter nudged her shoulder. “And because I care, I’m going to call a healer before your throat swells up and you die.”
“Yeah. Probably a good plan.”

multi-tasking is a skill that she's honed over the years. answering a phone call whilst doing the laundry and cutting the crusts off a sandwich. walking advik to school while negotiating with the PTA and arranging therapy and dentist appointments. the trick is to keep the tasks divided in your mind. text the PTA board, call the dentist, and hold on to advik's hand as they move through the traffic in manhattan. wedge the phone between your ear and shoulder, slice the crust, hang out the laundry. everything is a separate motion. it takes time, but eventually... she got pretty good at it.
but now, it seems more intense than usual. the nightmares about the blip still haunt her. the therapy sessions are dialled up to ninety. she's trying to look after the kids, the squad, the diner, stanley and richard. she's trying to get to the meetings with the schools, the doctors, the avengers, the intergalactic units. she tries not to think about it. this wild, frantic hurricane of constant activity. one time she forgot to go to a meeting with advik's school, and when she rescheduled it clashed with another appointment to speak with some representatives of xandar. another time she missed a chance to call a plumber, and the washing machine broke down, locking five different sport uniforms inside. bella and rani have had to call stanley three times this week to try and help her at the diner... but she's fine. right? she's good. she's got this. she has to have this, or else everything will come falling apart. she has to keep going--
so why does it feel like she might cry when carol visits, and sees her making a batch of coleslaw, three gallons of sugar-free pumpkin spice syrup, all the packed lunches for the next day, trying to talk to henri about the seasonal menu while discussing appointment times with victor's therapist on the phone, and imploring an overbearing customer to just wait five damn minutes for her steak sub. and carol has just one thing to say, in the softest, most solemn voice that she's ever heard:
@danversiism said: you're going to get sick if you keep going like this.
she's still gripping the phone and half a head of cabbage when etienne gently extracts both from her fists, and moves to the back of the kitchen to give them some space. henri is less subtle. he spends five minutes berating the customer outside the kitchen for thinking a steak sub takes five seconds to prepare. but the privacy allows aisling a stunned opportunity to finally expel the thoughts that have clouded her head, ever since she heard that blasted name. thanos...
" i, um... " she draws in a breath, frizzy curls of hair falling from the ponytail. it's coming undone. how ironic... " you know, before he came along, before the snap, we faced so many threats, and they all came from places that we'd heard of, you know? i moved to new york in the middle of the battle, and loki came from asgard. from thor's home. so i just kept thinking... we'd know. right? we'd know where and when and who the bad guys would be. but then thanos happened... and now it's like... i dropped my guard before. i thought he wouldn't dare harm gamora. but he did. i thought i knew the rules and the limits. but there are no limits anymore. nothing is off the table. we have to be ready for everything, but carol, i don't know where to look first. how do you do it? how do you protect entire galaxies so well? it must be so... heavy. how do you carry that weight? "
#danversiism#( ' a soul for a soul... ' / reply. )#( THIS GOT REALLY LONG I'M SORRY )#( TURNS OUT CAROL IS ONE OF THE VERY FEW PEOPLE AISLING WILL ACTIVELY TELL ABOUT THESE THINGS )

TPOL!JK
you nod your head before turning around and pressing a kiss to jungkook’s lips. “have a good day, hun” you whisper against his lips as you continue to rock jia to sleep and jungkook presses a kiss against your head before he’s leaving you with the twins and soon out of the house.
once jia is sound asleep, you put her back in the crib and sleepily walk back to sleep where jaemin is and sleep for another hour before waking jaemin up for school. he goes to an early starter school that starts are preschool to 3rd grade and it’s the same school ji-ae enrolled jungkook in when he was younger.
you go down stairs and make jaemin a bowl of cinnamon oatmeal with sliced apples, sliced bananas, blueberries, and orange juice for breakfast and as he’s eating, you iron his school uniform.
“say aah” you tell jaemin who follows your instructions and does what you’re doing. you allow him to brush his own teeth but you go back over his teeth and floss his teeth too.
after giving jaemin a bubble bath, you get him dressed for school and arrive there by 8:30 on the dot. you walk inside the building and walk with him to his classroom that is doing their usual free-play before they begin the day.
“okay min, be good. daddy will come pick you up today. your lunch is in your backpack kay?”
“okay mommy!! i love you”
“i love you too min”
you give jaemin a kiss to his head and watch his teacher greet your son with all smiles. once jaemin was dropped off, you circle back home to relieve ji-ae and take care of the twins on your own so ji-ae can tend to her endeavors.
you bathe your twins, dress them, and warm up their bottles with freshly pumped breastmilk. you really enjoy being a mother and love the little family you and jungkook created. jin-sun and jia are such happy babies and don’t really cause much problems for you until they’re upset.
you don’t really do much except for take care of the twins which can sometimes be exhausting but you love every minute of it.
“mr. jeon!” his personal assistant yells barging in his office while jungkook is on a call. “s-sorry, but-,”
“no need to introduce me. he knows who i am. right jungkook?” says mr. hwang, tina hwang’s father.
Jungkook is surprised to see his ex-girlfriend’s father here at his workplace, Jungkook nods, well, talking on the phone and he quickly finishes off the call, he tells the personal secretary to leave so he can talk to Mr. Hwang.
It’s not that surprising that he is here right now because they have done business together several times, but.. the last time they saw each other was probably like a year ago. “Hmm Please sit down… to what do I owe this pleasure to?” Jungkook asks the older man, asking him indirectly why he’s here.
and he doesn’t exactly like Tina’s father, because he was really good friends with his father, Jeon Jaekuk.
“is it like something business related?” Jungkook asks, yes, he’s been planning to open another hotel, but this time in Dubai. “or is this regarding my newest hotel project?” Jungkook folds his hands, “but before we get to business, would you like some coffee or any beverage?” He smiles, Today is a packed day, so he’s a little confused as to why he’s really here because he didn’t even make an appointment.
“Seems like it’s something urgent? You didn’t make an appointment so that’s why I’m wondering, Mr Hwang.” He’s waiting for the older man man to speak, he commands his secretary, to bring in some treats and beverages for the two of them.
And he hopes that the old man will hurry this meeting up because he has to visit some sites and then he has to pick up Jaemin in a few hours.
And he also promised you that he would be home early today.
“Next time just make an appointment will you? I’m kind of busy today so I’d appreciate it if you could hurry this up.” Maybe he does sound a little rude, but he takes his time very seriously. And Mr Hwang is more than familiar with jungkooks cold and ruthless nature when it comes to business.
And he cannot wait to go home and be with you and his family already.
Yeah, he’s a little annoyed.

# 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐓 ᝰ | 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄
Navigation
Summary: A girl with odd morals found herself being acquainted with the most chaotic people she had ever met, especially when she's just trying to blend in with the crowd and not create a crowd.
GRUMBLING SOFTLY as two slender hands smoothly worked their way through the sides of your [hair color] and [hair texture] hair, a couple of [hair color] locks fell down next to your face — all the while carefully gathering all of the strands to the top/middle part and gently tying them into a low or high ponytail.
"You tied my hair like my mom"
"Aww, that's so sweet of you! Is that a compliment?"
"Eh not really, to be honest"
"Fucking rude but anyways, I'll go take a bath for a minute. I trust that you know what to do?" Hei-ran cursed before continuing her sentence, while getting out of her bed as she started preparing her uniform by the lamp near her bed and then looked at the [hair color]-haired girl in anticipation.
Hei-ran was the only one who wasn't ready yet as she was busy cooking some food for the both of you while preparing her stationaries all night for her first day of her high school — while you woke up early, took a bath, ate your breakfast and changed your pajamas into your school's uniform.
In terms of clothing, you wore a unbottoned [favorite color] cardigan with your black necktie exposed. Underneath, you wore a white blouse with your black necktie wrapped around your collar, whilst tucking in your blouse into your black medium-length skirt that reached your thighs.
Your clothes were accompanied by long black socks that stuck to your legs like glue, as well as your favorite white sneakers, the shoelaces of your sneakers were haphazardly lying on the ground since they had yet to be tied. There were no wrinkles shown on your blouse or skirt, indicating that your uniform had already been neatly ironed — you'd really have to thank Hei-ran for it later.
"Ok ok, fine" You retorted back while playfully rolling your eyes at the ebony-haired female standing before you. After that, you soon return your gaze down to your shoes and began to struggle to tie your shoes.
As Hei-ran was on her way to the bathroom with a towel on her left arm, she soon stopped in her tracks and sent a thankful gaze at your direction that can make anyone simp including yourself.
"Welp! I'll leave this to you then." Hei-ran stated before halting her words for a moment, "Oh! And by the way, if you do this one more time I might just end up marrying you~!" her back facing you, then turned her head slightly over her shoulder and sent a flirty wink towards your direction after she added those sentence.
As soon as she finished her sentence, she then began walking towards the bathroom with a contented smile while your gaze just followed her until she enters the bathroom, leaving a slight sound of a door closing.
You let out a scoff and decided to brush it off, thinking it's just her strange way of showing her gratitude. After all, who were you to judge other people's way of expressing something? Even if.. their ways can be a bit weird.
After Hei-ran entered the bathroom, you then return your gaze to your shoelaces and thankfully, for some time, you managed to tie them properly this time.
Standing leisurely on your feet, you began stretching your joints, basically releasing all the tension you felt from being in the same position for what seemed like an eternity while also letting out a yawn.
You then proceeded to go downstairs to the kitchen to see your lunches ready and placed near the sink. Your [favorite food] with palitaw on the side was beautifully packed into your [favorite color] lunch box, while beside it was a neatly packed brown lunch box which you can already tell belong to Hei-Ran.
So all I have to do is pack our lunches right?
You thought, unsure of what to do despite being told a second ago. But decided to trust yourself this time as you were not in the mood to deal with your trust issues.
You carefully insert your friend's lunchbox inside the reusable bag before inserting your own.
After finishing the simple task at hand, you went straight to the dining table, set the packed lunchboxes down, and immediately pulled the seat forward and sat yourself down.
Since your classes won't start until 9:30 AM (which was pretty late than what you're used to) so you still have 3 hours left to scroll down through your phone while waiting for Hei-Ran to finished preparing herself, and also make yourself comfortable on your chair while waiting.
Oh, a notification just popped up, welp might as well check it out while you could alright.
After receiving the said notification from your only game, Genshin impact — you then quickly pressed the app, after waiting for the familiar door to appear, the said familiar door finally appeared in your screen and you immediately tapped the door to began the game to do your dailies.
After for a few minutes, by the time you finished your dailies — you noticed a red exclamation mark on the 'Paimon menu' and saw a friend request.
A friend request? Might as well greet them, it's not everyday you get a friend request
You clicked on the message icon with a red exclamation mark at the bottom of your screen and began to type your messages to your newfound friend.
[your username]
Hello!
[your username]
How r you??

Smith
But then again, you probably just turned AR45, which explains why your resin is cap
Smith
I'll join your world so you better let me in
[your username]
Oh ok!
Just like the person had instructed, a player that goes by the name 'Smith' pops up at the top of your screen. Albeit, you were still caught off guard with this person's responses, you decided to comply with their wishes and accepted their join request.
After all, you kinda had a broken damage — literally and it's almost to the point where it would make most of the players with ugly damage look godly when compared to your damage.
After you accepted their join request, this Smith person began carrying your ass from fighting bosses to farming domains, you can't help but feel embarrassed and can only watch them in astonishment as they murder everything on their sight without much effort.
The games with this Smith person soon ended after some minutes but before the two of you parted your ways — You went to check on the "Paimon icon" to see that they had added you, probably to help you more in the future later on.
After that, you tapped the message icon at the bottom part of your screen to see 'Smith' sending you a message.
Smith
Gtg now normie
Smith
Btw don't waste your fragile resins until you reach AR55+ got it?
[your username]
Got it smith :D!
Smith left the world
As soon as this Smith person left your world after bidding a goodbye, you got out of the game and carefully placed your phone onto the table, letting out a small 'thud' sound.
"Oh! You're done??" You inquired, being caught off guard by the time you looked up from the table and inadvertently locked your [eye color] eyes with her crystal blue eyes peering by the side of the kitchen counter, whose long hair was drenching wet, therefore making her looked like a "white lady" if we decided to ignore her uniform being slightly drenched due to her wet hair.
"Geez, you fucking scared me especially looking like that, like what are you? The white lady ?!" You bluntly spat before mumbling the last part of your sentence.
"[Name] please, I just got out of the bathroom and this is how're you going to greet me?" Hei-Ran groaned before sending you a sharp glare for even mentioning the fictional entity.
"Ooh, don't tell me you still got nightmares from her? If you'd like I could-"
"No" Hei-Ran firmly glowered while still glaring at you as if trying to burn you with her gaze alone — little does she know, if it's even possible to be murdered by looks alone, you would've been 6ft. underground already.
"Okaay" you awkwardly chuckled while making a thumbs up as a sign that you're just playing around.
Hei-Ran let out a 'hmph' sound while puffing out her cheeks before turning her heels away from you, intending to go up to her room to make herself more presentable.
You — knowing how Hei-Ran could be messy at times — quickly went after her, on the way to her bedroom and to ensure that she looked pleasant and not like a ghost about to hunt your school/house.
TIMESKIP !
After helping Hei-ran prepare herself for some time, you guys finally managed to got out of the house and were now currently walking towards your destination.
Hei-ran let her hair down while it was still slightly wet, but she managed to mess up her long, ebony hair and created a cute messy hairstyle. Hei-Ran also donned a white blouse that was loosely hung out and not tucked in, with a red ribbon wrapped around beneath her collar. She was also wearing a brown cardigan that were tightly wrapped around her waist while her skirt was nowhere to be found due to it being blocked by her white blouse. Thus, making her looked like a hot bitch that took after you.
Since Hei-ran also forgot to cook her own breakfast and was more focused on cooking you a breakfast — she had to stop by a convenience store to buy herself an egg sandwich.
And right now, you were currently holding your bag by the shoulder strap while Hei-ran's holding her bag with both shoulder straps on as her hands were occupied from holding her egg sandwich, also being preoccupied with enjoying the taste of the sandwich.
Aside from the silence, the only thing accompanying you both was the cool and relaxing gust of wind running past you two while your face was being carressed by the gust of wind as you guys continued to walk towards the sidewalk.
You didn't really mind though, it sometimes serve itself as an alarm clock when you feel like passing out in the middle of the sidewalk.
But sometimes, it can also caused you to stumble upon a lamp post accidentally but thankfully — it seems to be one of those days so thank archons I guess.
After what seemed like eternity, you both finally arrived at your destination aka The Daily Hell (High school) that you guys were about to enter right now.
However, it seemed like many students already got here before you two arrived — and some of them even looked pretty excited too.
You couldn’t blame them since it's mostly likely their first day of high school while you were already in your sophomore year. The only reason why you were with a freshman was that your friend was too busy to look after her cousin and asked you to take her in your care.
You didn't reaally accepted the offer but hey, free mansion and money being delivered evey month to provide all your needs together was all good ig.
As you two were making your way towards the opening gate, you couldn’t help but feel a little nervous even though you were already in your sophomore year.
Now let's just hope that all things would go well this time

Fill for square N3 - “free space” for the @stb-bingo. read it on ao3 here
This is fill number 5 for me AND it gives me my first BINGO!!
***
“Do you have your inhaler?”
“Yes.”
“What about the backup inhaler?”
“Ned has it.”
“Did you pack clean underwear?”
“Dad, come on. Of course I did.”
“How many pairs?”
“Dad.”
Tony holds up both hands, smiling at Peter, who scowls back. But Tony refuses to be sorry for worrying about his only son going on his first overnight field trip. It’s been just the two of them since before Peter was even born. And this would be the first time they’d been apart more than a few hours in fifteen years. So even if he wasn’t an omega, Tony feels like he’d be entitled to a little parental panic.
Peter’s phone beeps, and he glances at it before zipping up his backpack and slipping it onto his back. “Ned and his parents are here.”
The elevator opens without prompting, and the two Starks ride it down to the ground floor. Tony can see the Leeds’s car sitting at the curb, and Ned jumps out of the car as soon as they approach. The two boys perform some complicated handshake that even Tony’s genius brain can’t follow. He rolls his eyes, smiling fondly at the boys’ obvious bond, and goes around to the driver’s side to finalize details for picking up the boys at the school in a couple days with Ned’s father.
He’s standing on the curb with his hands in the pockets of his dress pants, watching the Leeds’s car drive away, when his assistant Darcy comes up beside him. The beta’s got a tablet in her hands, a sight that always means it’s time for him to actually do some work. And with Peter gone for the next several days, she won’t be letting Tony get away with using him as an excuse.
“Kiddo all packed off? Gonna be weird without him underfoot.”
Tony snorts. “You love having him underfoot. You spoil him almost as much as I do.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Of course, Miss Lewis. My mistake. What’s on my agenda for this morning?”
Darcy follows him back into the tower, pulling open his schedule on her tablet as they walk to the elevator. “You have three meetings before lunch. R & D requested you for a demo at 2:30. Tonight is your monthly visit to Maria Stark House, Colonel Rhodes is meeting you there at six to help serve dinner.”
The last item on the agenda makes warmth spread through his chest. He had established the Maria Stark House for Omegas during his pregnancy with Peter, and once a month he goes over to help cook and serve dinner to the residents and their children. Most of the men and women living there have been recently separated from their alphas, whether by death or by choice, and have no support system to catch them. Many are in various stages of pregnancy, and some come with small children clinging to them. The Maria Stark House provides support and housing either until the baby is born or until they’re back on their feet.
It’s his pride and joy, other than Peter of course.
As he and Darcy approach his office, Tony can see a tall figure in what appears to be military dress through the frosted glass of the windows. “Darcy, why is there someone in my office already?”
“That would be your 8:00. The new army liaison? He’s been waiting a little while, but I told him you had a personal matter that needed attending to and he seemed perfectly content to wait.”
Tony groans, dropping his head back to stare at the ceiling before scrubbing his hands over his face. “Rhodey just had to go and get that promotion. Couldn’t be happy spending the rest of his career as our liaison.”
“Do I need to remind you how much you cried at the ceremony? I’m sure I could get JARVIS to project the video on the nearest wall if you just—”
“Nope! No, I’m good, thank you Darcy. But you know how I feel about the military. Bunch of puffed up alpha assholes with an overinflated sense of importance.” Obviously his assistant didn’t know the full story behind Tony’s disdain for anyone in a uniform that wasn’t Rhodey, but she understood nonetheless.
“I’m well aware of your feelings, Tony. But if you want to continue providing tech and armor and medical supplies to the military, then we need a liaison. Just go in, get to know the guy a little, and then I’ll swoop in and save you and send him on his way. Okay?”
Tony sighs, deflating a little as he nods.
“Good. Now, before you go in there, hold still.” Tucking her tablet under one arm, Darcy steps into his space to straighten his tie and smooth out wrinkles in his jacket that only she can see. Then she slides her fingers into his hair to tousle the silvering strands. She steps back with her hands on her hips, admiring her handiwork before nodding in satisfaction.
“Want to tell me what that was about, Miss Lewis?”
“Captain Hottie in there is an entire buffet. And you’ve been starving for way too long, boss man.”
He rolls his eyes, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow at the younger beta. “Darcy, I cannot sleep with our liaison. Pepper would string me up by my toes, and Peter is too young to be without a father. Besides, no hotshot army alpha is going to want to waste his time on an aging omega with a teenager.”
“You’re not aging, Tony, jeez. You’re thirty-five.” Darcy’s blue eyes soften, and she reaches out to squeeze his arm. “Look, I know Peter is your entire world, yadda yadda yadda. We all love him. But you deserve some happiness too.”
Before he can respond, she turns him around and nudges him toward his office door, slapping his ass with a resounding crack. “Now, go get ‘em, tiger!”
He glares at her over his shoulder, watching her stalk off on her criminally high heels, probably on her way to torture some poor unsuspecting interns. When she disappears around the corner, he turns back to his office and takes a fortifying breath. Whoever this guy is, Tony isn’t going to let himself be intimidated. He’s Tony Stark. And Stark men are made of iron.
The door opens silently as he steps inside. “Sorry to keep you waiting, captain. I had something that needed to be sorted and it couldn’t wait, so I—”
The other occupant of the room turns around, and it feels like time stops. Between one breath and the next, Tony’s twenty years old again, a positive pregnancy test in his pocket and excitement to share the news with his alpha swelling in his chest. Excitement that dies a swift and fiery death just minutes later when the alpha breaks his heart and walks out the door.
The very same alpha standing across from him in full military dress, hands in his pockets, shifting nervously.
“Hey, Tony.”
Even after all this time, Tony still knows Steve Rogers’s face better than his own. How could he ever forget, when he’s spent the last fifteen years seeing those features reflected in his son’s face? A son that he’s spent nearly two decades raising alone.
Tony does the only logical thing.
He bolts.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Darcy finds him twenty minutes later in the hidden corner of his workshop that only a select few people have access to. He hears the click of her heels first, before she comes around the corner and inputs her code. The glass doors to the restricted area slide open, and she spots Tony easily where he’s sitting on the floor with his back against the wall, knees tucked up to his chest. She crouches until they’re eye to eye. He’ll never figure out how she manages to execute a perfect squat in those heels.
“Hey, boss. Did the meeting with Captain Hotpants go that bad? JARVIS said you turned tail and ran almost immediately. What gives?”
Tony drops his head against his knees, trying to hide the way tears have started to gather in his eyes at just the mention of Steve. But he knows Darcy’s not going to let it go, and no one else sees through his lies and misdirects the way she does. So he tries to form some kind of coherent response, but all that comes out is, “Peter’s father.”
“What does that worthless nothing have to do with this?”
He clears his throat, gathering his courage to actually look his assistant in the eyes. “It’s him. The-the guy. The liaison, it’s… he’s Peter’s father.”
Darcy rears back like he just punched her in the gut, and she stares at him in wide-eyed shock for a minute. Her features soften as she shifts onto her knees and reaches out with both hands to grip his shoulders. “Oh, Tony. Wow, what a shock. That is some kind of wild—”
A strange look crosses her face before she picks her tablet up off of the floor and starts scrolling through it. As she reads, Darcy’s face slowly changes from confused to startled before her pretty features twist into a mask of rage. It’s a look Tony very rarely sees on her face, and it makes him sit up straight.
“Darcy? What is it?”
He hears a low growl, and that’s how he knows she’s really pissed off. Betas don’t growl like omegas and alphas do, not unless they’re pushed over the edge. His instincts kick in, helpless against the clear distress of someone he cares about, and soft soothing noises emanate from his throat.
It takes the younger woman a few minutes to compose herself, but eventually her scent shifts from furious to simple anger. She takes a breath, and then hands Tony the tablet. It’s open to the file on Steve they’d received from the army rep that had arranged the appointment to SI military liaison. He browses it, but nothing that could explain her anger pops out. When he looks back up at her, confused, she taps on a note at the bottom.
“He requested this position. I didn’t think anything of it when I read the file the first time, just assumed he was a career guy who was sick of combat and wanted something more cushy. And the rep said he thought Rogers was a perfect candidate. Tony, if I thought for even a second that he had an ulterior motive I would have made sure he couldn’t get within even a thousand feet of the building, I swear.”
Tony doesn’t respond at first, too busy reading and rereading the rep’s note. Captain Rogers entered his own name into the running for this assignment before we could even gather a list of acceptable candidates, but it is my personal opinion that he would make an ideal candidate for army liaison. Why in the hell had Steve suddenly decided he wanted a position that would force him to work alongside the omega he had abandoned fifteen years ago?
He was damn sure going to find out.
“JARVIS, is St… Captain Rogers still in the building?”
“Yes, sir. Captain Rogers is still in your office.”
“Good, keep him there.”
He pushes off the wall and stands up, Darcy following with a whole lot more grace, and he hands her back the tablet. She watches him straighten his jacket and do his best to smooth out his hair that’s gone wild from the number of times he’d run his fingers through it.
“Tony, are you sure it’s a good idea to confront him right now? You’re upset, and I don’t need the entire building gossiping about another one of your shouting matches with an alpha.”
“I’m good, I’m fine. I’m going to walk in there, calmly, ask him what his game is and then tell him to get the fuck out. Piece of cake.”
Darcy’s entire face practically screams how much she doesn’t believe anything that he’s just said, but she doesn’t try to stop him. What she does is give JARVIS specific instructions once Tony’s out of earshot.
“JARVIS, blackout mode in the boss’s office as soon as he shuts the door.”
“Of course, Miss Lewis.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tony’s entire plan to be calm and mature goes out the window as soon as he walks back into his office and sees Steve standing there.
“Tony—”
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing? Fifteen years, Steve. You walk out of my life like I meant nothing to you and I don’t hear from you for fifteen fucking years, and now you think you can just waltz in here like everything’s cool and just expect me to work alongside you? What the fuck, Steve?”
“No, Tony, that’s not—”
“I thought this was just some weird cosmic coincidence, the universe playing a joke on me. But you requested this position. Why? What the hell is your game?”
“There’s no game Tony, I wouldn’t—”
“Is this about Peter? We didn’t have to go through all this song and dance. I would have let you see him.”
“Peter? Your son, Peter? What does he have to do with—”
“Oh, don’t play stupid, Steve. It’s not a good look on you.”
“Tony, I have no idea what you’re talking about. Why would I be interested in your son?”
“Just because you’ve been off playing soldier for his entire life doesn’t mean you get to pretend he isn’t yours.”
Steve freezes, then sits down in one of the plush chairs across from Tony’s desk like he’s a marionette who’s just had all of his strings cut. He’s paler than normal, making his bright blue eyes stand out. “He’s… mine?” Steve’s always been a pretty terrible liar, so Tony knows the shock on his face is real. He sits down behind his desk, feeling similarly off-kilter.
“Of course he’s yours. I haven’t, um… I haven’t been with anyone else since… well, you. Raising Pete on my own was a full time job, I didn’t really have time for dating. He’s not really a secret, so I just assumed you knew he was yours.”
Across from him, Steve slumps in his chair, his gaze going far away. But after a minute or two, he seems to shake himself and he shifts forward, blue eyes locking on to Tony’s. “If I had known, I never would have let you go through all of that on your own, you have to believe me. I… why didn’t you ever say anything?”
Tony sighs, breaking eye contact. “I was going to. The day you… the day you left, I had the test in my pocket. I just… never got the chance. When the media got wind that I’d had a child and the news was everywhere, there was no word from you. So I assumed you wanted nothing to do with us.”
Steve looks stricken, and he scoots to the edge of the chair. Both hands reach out, almost like he wants to reach for Tony, but his strong fingers close around the edge of the desk. “Jesus. Tony, god, no. If I had known that Peter was my son, our son, nothing could have kept me away.”
“But you said—”
“I know what I said. Trust me, I remember everything I said. I’m never going to stop hating myself for hurting you like that. Every time I close my eyes, I can see that devastated look on your face. Tony, I’ve missed you every minute of the last fifteen years.”
“Then why—”
“Because I wasn’t good enough for you!”
Tony flinches back like he’s been slapped, and he’s not sure which of them is more surprised by Steve’s outburst. But his surprise quickly twists into anger. “That’s bullshit and you know it.”
“No, Tony. It’s not. You were so far out of my league, in every way possible, and your father took every opportunity he could find to remind me of it. And I was able to brush it off for a while, but it kept building and building until I couldn’t take it anymore.”
“Steve, I never thought that. You were everything I wanted and—”
Steve is out of his seat and around to Tony’s side of the desk before he can even think about what he’s doing and whether it’s appropriate or not, his instincts leading him as he recognizes the scent of distressed omega. He sits on the edge and reaches out to tug the smaller man up and against his chest. Surprisingly, Tony goes without resistance.
“I know. I know and I’m so sorry. I’m sorry I wasn’t strong enough to keep him out of my head.”
“You should have talked to me.”
“I know.”
“My parents died a year after you left, Steve. Why didn’t you come back?”
Steve sighs, pulling the omega tighter against his chest until his scent starts to soften into something less harsh. “I couldn’t. The idea that I needed to be a better alpha for you was so deep into my brain that I couldn’t shake it. I had to keep pushing, keep working towards higher ranks until I felt worthy. And… part of me thought I would never reach it, not after the way I’d treated you.”
He feels a sharp jab to his chest, and Steve leans back a little to rub at the spot and pout down at Tony, who’s glaring at him.
“You were always worthy, you big stupid alpha. All you had to do was love me to be worthy. I was the one who was lucky that you took a chance on such a messy, broken omega.”
Steve lets out a fierce growl that echoes through the room. He shifts his hands to cradle Tony’s face. “There is nothing messy or broken about you. And I know I don’t deserve it, but if you’d let me, I will spend every minute of the rest of my life showing you.”
Tony shudders at the promise in the alpha’s voice, and he presses his face against Steve’s chest to hide the tears gathering in his eyes. “I shouldn’t. Pepper’s gonna kill me. Rhodey’s gonna kill you. And Peter will be an orphan before he turns sixteen. But…”
He looks up at Steve, and lets his hands come up to twist in the material of the alpha’s starched green jacket. “I don’t wanna do this without you, Steve. I’ve done it alone for fifteen years and I can’t anymore. Not if there’s an option to do it as a team. It’s gonna take work, and you have to give me time to trust you again. I want to, but you have to show me that you won’t hurt me again, Steve.”
Steve tugs him close again, leaning down to press a kiss into his dark curls. “I’m so sorry, sweetheart. Brilliant, strong omega. Raising a kid i running a company, all on your own? You’re perfect. How did I ever give you up?”
He can feel Tony trembling against his chest, so Steve shifts them around until he’s sitting in Tony’s ridiculously large desk chair and can pull the omega into his lap. Tony lets out an audible sigh, and Steve chuckles when he feels nimble fingers start unbuttoning the large buttons on his dress coat. He doesn’t resist, letting the omega push it off his shoulders and tug it free of his arms. When the coat is off, Steve wraps his arms around Tony and hugs him tight to his chest.
“This better, Tony?”
The brunette nods, and it isn’t long before Steve’s ears pick up the sound of Tony purring softly. The grin that splits his face makes his cheeks hurt.
They stay like that for a few minutes, Steve basking in the warm, comfortable scent of happy and content omega. This was more than he ever could have hoped for. When he requested the assignment to SI as the army liaison, he had only dared to hope that Tony would talk to him. Never could he guess that he would have Tony curled up against him like this, especially not after his initial reaction to seeing Steve after so long. And now, he thinks there’s only one thing that could make this better.
“Hey, Tony?”
“Hmm?”
“Can I… Peter. Can I meet him? You don’t have to tell him who I am right away, I just… I want to get to know him if I can.”
Tony tries to sit up, but Steve tightens his hold, and he settles back down with an amused huff. “Of course you can meet him. He’s your son too, and he deserves to know both his dads. He’s in DC on a field trip for a few days, but I’ve already got a couple days blocked off in my schedule when he gets back. The three of us can spend that time together.”
“You’re sure? I don’t want to get in the way—”
“You won’t be. You’re going to love him, Steve. He’s so smart, and strong and brave and good. He’s the best parts of both of us. JARVIS, give us some pictures up on the wall, please?”
A slideshow of pictures projects onto the empty wall across from them, starting from Peter’s birth and slowly moving year by year. Steve can’t help the tears that form as he watches the little boy, his little boy, grow up.
“He’s beautiful, Tony. I can already tell what an amazing job you’ve done with him. I can’t wait to get to know him. And get to know you again.”
After the pictures, JARVIS starts up some of the home movies Tony’s taken of Peter over the years. Gradually, Steve can feel the omega growing more and more relaxed against him. He loses track of how much time passes before Tony speaks again.
“You’re fired, by the way.”
Steve barks out a laugh, looking down at Tony, whose eyes are still watching the video currently playing on the wall. “What do you mean, I’m fired?”
“It seems unprofessional for you to technically be an SI employee if you’re going to be sleeping with the head of the company.”
One large, calloused finger hooks under Tony’s chin and tips his head back so Steve can meet his eyes. “Tony, I want to make it clear that this isn’t just about sleeping together. When you’re ready, after I’ve groveled and worshipped you and done everything I can to earn back your trust and your love, I want to be your alpha. I want us to be a family. Permanently.”
Steve’s declaration is so serious, so clearly heartfelt and earnest, there’s nothing stopping Tony from melting completely. He surges forward, capturing Steve’s lips in a kiss that’s fifteen years overdue. The alpha startles and freezes in shock, but he returns the kiss before Tony has even a fraction of a chance to second guess it.
The kiss only lasts a handful of seconds, but it leaves both of them dazed and grinning like fools. Tony settles back down against Steve’s chest, and together they watch the memories that Tony had captured play out on the wall, the room overflowing with the scents of warm and happy alpha and omega.
Darcy comes searching for Tony an hour later when he doesn’t show up for his second meeting of the morning. JARVIS directs her to the office, where she finds the two men deeply asleep, wrapped up in each other’s arms.
“JARVIS, snap a picture of that, please.”
“My pleasure, Miss Lewis.”
Darcy still plans to threaten the good captain, viciously, with her sharpest pair of stilettos. But her love for Tony goes far beyond the care of an employee for her boss. Tony is the older brother she never had, and his happiness—and Peter’s— means more to her than the joy she derives from threatening alphas bigger than her and watching them cower.
With a swipe of her finger, she clears the rest of Tony’s schedule, and heads down the hallway to her own office to await the email from Pepper requesting an explanation that she knows will be on the way before too long.
When her computer dings, she sends off her response with just one sentence.
I promise you, it’s worth it.

Cruel Summer, Part 20
cruel summer masterlist
AN: This was supposed to be ready hours ago. SORRY. Only five chapters to go. Have I mentioned how much I appreciate all of you who read, reblog and review this? It has seriously brightened up a shitty time in my life.
Rowan feels like he’s barely slept when Aelin’s alarm goes off. He grumbles and pulls her closer, so he can bury his face into her shoulder, away from the thick rays of sunshine pouring through her window. “No…” he groans.
“Yes,” Aelin laughs as she turns over to face him. Her finger traces over his lips, and he kisses it softly. Her eyes lock with his, and he can’t help the warmth that blooms in his chest at her staring.
“What?” he asks, kissing her finger again. Her eyes flit across his face, observing him closely.
“You’re pretty in the morning,” she says, and Rowan narrows his eyes at her.
“Pretty?” he asks, incredulous. She nods and giggles quietly as Rowan climbs on top of her, pinning her hands beside her head on the mattress. “I’ll show you pretty…” he growls. His lips dive onto her neck, and he can feel her laughter against his chest.
They both hear her door open and slam at the same time. They freeze, their heads turning in the direction of the noise, praying against all odds that it isn’t one of Aelin’s parents.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake…”
Dorian stands with his back pressed against Aelin’s door, his hand covering his face again. Rowan sighs a breath of relief and rolls off the bed. He can’t believe how close that came to being a nightmare. They really need to be more careful. He grabs his work uniform, which is crumpled on the floor and pulls his pants on quickly.
“Dor?” Aelin asks from under her covers. “Why are you in my room?”
“I volunteered to wake you up,” he says, eyes still closed. “I had a feeling. Your entire family is downstairs. It’s Saturday, remember?”
“Shit,” Aelin mumbles as she rushes to her closet and throws on shorts and a tank top.
Rowan looks at the clock. Thirty minutes until works starts. And he has no idea how he’s going to escape this house with Aelin’s entire family downstairs. It’s not like he can climb out her window – he’d be spotted in a second.
Dorian finally cracks his eyes open and sees that everyone is fully dressed and relaxes slightly. He nods to Rowan, who nods back uncomfortably.
As they exchange hellos, Aelin heads straight into her bathroom and plugs in her curling iron. Rowan stands in the middle of the room, unsure of what to do. He shoves his hands into his pockets and watches as Aelin starts wrapping her hair around the hot metal rod. She examines her bruise in the mirror and dabs some makeup over it with her free hand.
“Dor?” Aelin calls from the bathroom. “Can you tell my family that I am curling my hair, but I will meet them at the park shortly?” She pokes her head out of the bathroom. “Just, get them out of the house quickly. Please,” she implores him with wide eyes, and Dorian salutes her and takes off.
By the time Aelin’s hair is curled, and her family has officially left the premises, Rowan has about five minutes to make it to work. He kisses Aelin and makes a mad dash for the park.
“See you there,” Aelin calls out after him as he takes off into a quick sprint. His cross-country skills are put to the test as his feet sink through the sand with every step. By the time he reaches the park entrance, he’s only one minute late. He’s impressed with himself.
Breathing hard, he slows to a brisk walk, making his way through the throngs of crowds lined up to get in.
Rowan pauses, his brain finally catching up to him, and looks around. The park is packed. Shockingly crowded.
The line of cars to enter the park is so long, it extends past the parking lot and onto the street, and at the front gate, a hefty crowd is gathered, waiting to get in.
“What the fuck?” Rowan mumbles to himself.
Inside the park, a very stressed out Lorcan mans the admissions booth with Fenrys. “Rowan!” he calls out. “You’re here! Come help us.”
Rowan apologizes for being late, but Lorcan just attributes it to the long line of cars and waves Rowan off. He’s just grateful for the help.
As Rowan starts handing out tickets and wristbands, he finally asks Lorcan what the hell is going on. Apparently, the park was featured on some big reality show called Hometown Hotspots earlier in the week, and the park is seeing the after effects. Lorcan has never been more stressed. He’s not exactly a people person, and these people are impatient, entitled, and anxious to get into the park. Rowan feels for him.
The overflow of people is never ending, and Rowan ends up staying at admissions until well into the afternoon. He barely has time to even think about missing Aelin, being kept so busy. Until, finally, he checks his phone during his lunch break and sees he has a slew of texts from her.
WHOA, what’s up with these crowds???
You were so busy this morning, you didn’t even see me come in! Luckily, Fenrys was far more cordial ;)
Rowan glares at Fenrys, who eats his lunch across the table from him. He can’t believe he didn’t’ even see Aelin enter the park.
Lys wants me to tell you that she knows this is not a curler burn. *facepalm*
Gavin heard your name and got excited, and now my family is insisting you join us for dinner.
You’re going to go down in history as being Gavin’s favorite person ever, just for buying him cotton candy that ONE TIME.
Rowan can’t help but smile at this phone screen, despite how tired he already is. He texts back quickly.
I’ll be there.
At the last second, he adds a red heart emoji and sends it. He’s never been an emoji person before, mostly using texting for utilitarian purposes only. But with Aelin, he can’t help himself. It’s silly, he knows. But the red heart sitting in his texts is his silent way of opening up more. Of silently insinuating the three words he’s tried to push to the back of his head and not let overtake his thoughts. He smiles when Aelin immediately returns his text with three kissing face emojis.
He must be smiling like a mad man, because Lorcan chuckles loudly as he takes a seat next to Rowan and asks, “How’s your girlfriend?”
Rowan’s smile disappears as Fenrys perks up from across the table. “You have a girlfriend?”
“Uhh… no… not really…” Rowan fumbles his words.
Lorcan senses his mistake and flashes Rowan and apologetic glance.
But Fenrys is undeterred. “I can’t believe you’ve been holding out on me, Rowan,” Fenrys pouts, sounding all of his young age. “So… who is she? Townie? Someone who works here? Rich summer home crowd?”
“Someone way out of your league, kiddo,” Lorcan says, slapping his large hand onto Fenrys’s shoulder. His voice is gruff, but Rowan sees the hears the affection in his tone. He weirdly feels like he’s turned a corner with Lorcan. Maybe they could even be friends.
“It’s nothing,” Rowan assures Fenrys, who still looks on with hopeful eyes, begging for scraps of information. “It’s super low key, so we haven’t gone public, or whatever.”
“Then how come Lorcan knew?” His whining would be almost comical if Rowan didn’t want to exit the conversation so badly.
Luckily, Lorcan saves him. “Caught them in the break room the other night.” He pauses. “Which, no one should be doing, by the way.”
“What should we not be doing?” Elide asks, entering with a giant funnel cake in her hands. She’s followed by Connall and Vaughan and Gavriel, which means that Rowan’s lunch break is up. He groans. He’s not ready to deal with those crowds again. And if the group’s faces are any indication, nothing has slowed in the minutes he took off to eat. Elide looks exhausted.
“Making out in the break room,” Rowan laughs.
“Oh please,” Elide scoffs. “What do you think Lorcan and I do every night when you guys leave?” Elide wiggles her eyebrows at Lorcan, who turns bright red. His hands tug at his long hair, unsure what to do with himself. Rowan can tell he wants to be mad at Elide, but he thinks Lorcan is physically incapable of actually getting angry with her.
“Ellie,” he whines, but she just giggles as she stuffs a piece of funnel cake into her mouth. Her lips become coated in powdered sugar, and she purses her lips and motions to Lorcan.
“Come get some sugar.” She winks, and Lorcan looks conflicted as he looks at her lips and everyone else in the room. Ultimately, Elide’s lips win, and Lorcan leans down and gives her a quick kiss as everyone else in the room whoops. His entire body is flushed as he narrows his eyes at the bystanders.
“Not a word,” he warns.
Fenrys sighs loudly. “Man, did everyone get a girlfriend this summer but me?” he asks. Connall and Vaughan sit down next to him, and as the conversation turns to summer gossip, Rowan extracts himself and heads to the kiddie section of the park, where he’ll be on rotation all afternoon.
The rest of the day is even more miserable than the first half. Children are crying, upset with waiting for hours and missing their nap times; Rowan sympathizes – he’d love a nap, too. The crowds become angrier the longer they have to wait, and Rowan realizes the park is not equipped for this many people. They have no idea how to manage the crowds. And he almost witnesses a full on riot when one of the food stands runs out of ice cream bars. It’s a mess.
Somehow, he manages to keep his cool with the angry patrons, and he practically runs back to the Ashryvers’ as soon as the day is finished.
The entire family, plus Dorian, sits outside on their back patio as Emrys brings out platters of food, which smell absolutely delicious. Fleetfoot waits happily under the table, tail wagging, ready for scraps to fall. Rowan’s stomach rumbles as he approaches, seeing the spread of salads, biscuits and corn on the cobb.
“Wine?” Aelin offers him a large glass, and Rowan accepts it happily.
Gavin runs straight for his legs and wraps his tiny arms around them. He pats the top of the small boy’s head, unable to interact much more than that in his current state of exhaustion.
“Oh, sweetie, I can get you a beer, if you prefer,” Evalin says, but Rowan shakes his head and takes a large sip of the cold wine. “You look utterly exhausted.” She holds out a chair, and Rowan slinks into it without a second thought.
“The park was…” Rowan begins, but he stops himself short, not wanting to insult his bosses. Aelin sees it in his face.
“A nightmare?” Rhoe laughs. “We know.” He fills his own glass again. “We left early in the afternoon. We were not ready for those crowds.”
Evalin sighs. “The board is meeting about it tomorrow. We need to come up with some kind of solution other than hiring people to help with the parking lot. Luckily, this summer is almost over. But if this is how it is next summer… We need to get organized.”
Rowan thought the same thing throughout the day, but he’s unsure if he should bring up his suggestion. He knows his opinion likely holds no weight with this family, despite how outwardly friendly they are to him.
“Have you ever been to Disneyland?” Rowan asks, deciding to speak up after all.
“The competition?” Evalin raises an eyebrow, and Rowan becomes slightly self-conscious. He takes another sip of his wine. But Evalin cracks a smile, clearly teasing him, and Rowan relaxes. “I’m kidding. Yes, we’ve been there. But not since Aelin was nearly a baby.” Evalin smiles wider, staring at her daughter. “All Aelin wanted to do was to meet Mickey. It’s all she talked about the entire trip. We waited for over two hours to meet him, and when we got to the front, she screamed bloody murder. Just cried and cried…”
Aedion laughs loudly. “Oh my god, I remember that. She was terrified of him.”
Aelin frowns. “Okay, when you’re a toddler and you love Mickey, you expect him to be the size of a mouse, not a GIANT.” She shudders. “I still don’t like the characters.”
Rowan laughs and rubs her arm reflexively. He only realizes what he’s done when Dorian catches his eye. He pulls his hand away quickly, and prays no one noticed. Aelin seems unfazed as she sips more of her wine.
“A-anyway,” Rowan continues, “I know Disney is very different from Playland, but… the one thing they’re great at is crowd control.”
Rhoe and Evalin nod in agreement, so Rowan continues.
“Besides hiring people to direct car traffic and foot traffic, which, is definitely an important part of it – I think they really got a handle on things when they created their app,” he explains. “It’s an interactive map of the park where you can check ride wait times, see the daily schedule, preorder food, make reservations…” Rowan looks around the table and notices all eyes are on him, listening with rapt attention. “Playland isn’t big enough to need all of that, but it couldn’t hurt to have some of it. Everyone loves an app.”
“That’s not a terrible idea.” Evalin looks to Rhoe.
Lysandra turns toward Rowan and narrows her eyes. “Rowan, weren’t you telling us you used to work as a programmer for a start up?” she asks, and Rowan nods uncomfortably. He doesn’t like this many eyes on him. Especially when he’s talking about himself.
“You did?” Rhoe asks.
“Yeah. Not for very long,” Rowan admits. “The start up went under pretty quickly. Bad investors.” He pauses, then continues. “But I did computer engineering for the Army before then. I could make you a mock up, if you wanted?”
“That is very sweet to offer,” Evalin says, her voice sounding too saccharine to Rowan’s ears. “But I don’t think we’re anywhere near that step yet.”
Rowan smiles, but he can’t help but feel like he’s been blown off. He should have known they only see him as park staff. He does appreciate Lysandra taking him seriously, though.
The conversation dies down as Emrys brings out a large plate of brightly colored lobsters. Rowan can count the amount of times he’s had lobster on one hand. It’s a delicious luxury, one that Rowan absolutely loves, but is completely inexperienced with. He watches Aelin pull the claws with a slight twist away from the body and crack the shell, pulling the meat out. He mimics her actions, but somehow ends up crushing the shell into multiple pieces with his clumsy fingers.
As Aelin dips her piece into butter and drops it into her mouth, she sees Rowan’s struggle and leans over to help.
“Here,” she whispers as she takes her knife and cracks open the knuckles for him. He feels like a child. In fact, he notices Lysandra doing the same thing for Gavin and Evie.
“I can do it,” he protests, but Aelin has already finished cracking it for him. He sighs as she moves to twist off the tail, hoping his cheeks aren’t red with the embarrassment he feels.
His embarrassment fades quickly, though, when he sees Evalin reaching over to do the same thing to Rhoe’s lobster. Rowan looks at Aelin, who doesn’t seem to realize she’s completely mirroring her parents’ behavior and smiles behind the rim of his wine glass, which has been magically refilled.
Dinner is just as delicious as Rowan hoped it’d be, and by the end of the night he’s feeling sated and sleepy and buzzed on wine. Evalin tells him he should spend the night, since he’s not safe to drive yet, but Rowan can’t actually justify wearing his gross uniform again tomorrow. And as loathe as he is to spend a night away from Aelin, he knows he needs to go home.
“I can stay for another hour or so and sober up and then head home,” Rowan says, but his large yawn gives away his current state of fatigue.
“We can give you a ride if you want?” Lysandra offers, and Aedion readily agrees, but Rowan isn’t sure how he’d get to work the next morning without his truck.
“Fireheart, are you sober?” Rhoe asks, and Aelin nods. Rowan did notice she stopped drinking after her first glass of wine. He should have, too, but she just kept refilling it. It barely takes Rowan a second to realize that Aelin was trying to get him drunk, trying to get him to stay over. He shakes his head, sorry for her failed efforts.
“Why don’t you drive Rowan home, and then you can take an Uber back home?”
Aelin agrees, and says she’ll be quiet coming back in, in case her parents are asleep. After a round of goodbyes, Aelin and Rowan walk back to his truck where it’s still in the far corner of the Playland parking lot.
He tosses her the keys and watches as she moves her hand over the gears. As they drive, Rowan realizes he’s never seen Aelin behind the wheel before, and there’s something incredibly sexy about watching her maneuver his giant truck. By the time they reach Rowan’s street, Rowan can’t wait any longer. As soon as Aelin parks, he pulls her over to his lap and kisses her.
She squeals as he plants sloppy kisses on her face. Their kisses become more heated as it continues, so much that the windows start to steam up. His hands roam across her back and slide up her tank top, relishing in her bare skin. He just wants her all the time. Always.
Aelin pulls away and smiles. “I thought you were tired.”
“I am,” Rowan admits through another yawn. “That’s why if you come up, you’re going to have to do all the work.”
Aelin snorts, making Rowan laugh. It’s the cutest thing in the world. When she snorts. No other girl could make snorting cute, but Aelin somehow manages to.
“This is what you get for getting me drunk,” he says, letting her know he was well aware of her plan.
Aelin snickers as she opens the door and slides off his lap. She pulls on his arms, and Rowan stumbles out of the cab. And when they get upstairs, Aelin shows Rowan she’s more than happy to do all the work, and then some.
Rowan’s drunk heart feels like it’s going to explode as she moves on top of him, and he has to physically stop himself from saying the three words he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about all day. I love you, he thinks to himself. I never want you to leave. I want to be with you forever.
His resistance snaps. He’s too tired, too ready to put his entire heart into this thing. The lid he’s tried so carefully to keep on his feelings, explodes. The dam bursts, crumbling and cracking under the weight of his emotions, and he lets them tumble out, spilling everywhere, coating his skin where she touches him. He is lost to her, and he’s ready to burn.

Old Guard hc #56
Prompt number: 17 - “Give me a minute or an hour”
Fandom: The Old Guard
Rating: PG-13
Warnings/Tags: joe x nicky, fluff
AN: @flamingbluepanda encouraged me to write a Psych AU for this prompt
Joe cranes his neck to get a better look at the body. The puncture wounds are interesting, each one spaced at least four inches apart, all at differing angles, both in entrance and position meaning whatever killed this man wasn’t just a random attack. If they were closer, Joe would have thought they were bite marks and maybe they are, but the last time he checked, there were no animals in the ocean or on land with a bite-radius that large and teeth spaced that far apart. At least, there’s nothing alive today that has a 34-inch bite-radius.
“You getting something, Mr. Kaysani?” Chief Freeman asks.
Can it be? The bite marks are looking to be more of a match the longer he stares at them. “I’m…getting something,” Joe says, snatching the yellow pad and a pen from Andy and ignoring the small huff of irritation she lets out.
He starts with a brief outline, it’s been a while since he’s drawn one of these and he has to use small strokes to get the head right.
“Wait, I think this is a boating accident,” Andy says, and Joe briefly looks up to see her point at the body. “Head trauma from…from falling off the boat. Hit a motor maybe?”
The eyes are tricky. Should they be looking straight or at the viewer? Joe decides the viewer for a more startling effect.
“The wounds on his back, they were caused by a…by an industrial crab trap. Yes, a crab trap. Or a whale. A lonely whale that got lost from its pod and traveled East, West. Saw our floating guy from below, thought it was a seal and…you know, had a little chomp.”
The teeth are definitely not his best work. The teeth to mouth ratio are way off and they’re definitely not as uniform in real life like he drew them. It’ll have to do for now. He adds a little shading to the drawing, giving it a more realistic appearance.
“A whale?” Booker slowly asks, when it seems like Andy is finally done with her explanation.
“What’s your guy got?” Nicky immediately shoots back, coming to his partner’s defense.
Joe can practically hear Booker’s smug look, “Watch and learn, Genova. Watch and learn.”
“Alright Kaysani, show me what you got,” Chief Freeman says.
Joe blows on paper and holds the pad to his chest, hiding his drawing from a peaking Andy. “First of all, I would like to say that this is not my best work. It’s a very rough sketch, the shading isn’t finished, the torso is a little plump and the teeth are…they’re not completely accurate. If I had more time, I would’ve definitely given them more shape, more individual characteristics. If I had my druthers, I'd have done this in charcoal.” Booker gives him an understanding nod and Joe would high-five him if he was standing right next to him, “You know what I’m talking about! Almost nothing beats a good charcoal drawing-“
“Mr. Kaysani!” Chief Freeman interrupts, crossing her arms and tapping her feet. “The verdict?”
Joe dips his head in apology, “Yes! Look, the key was in the puncture wounds,” Joe says, using his pen to point at said wounds. “They’re very unique puncture wounds. So unique in fact, that I was able to draw a semi-accurate profile of our attacker.” Chief Freeman gives him the look that says ‘Well? Get on with it’ and Joe turns the pad around and smirks at Andy.
Both Andy and Chief Freeman do a double-take and lean forward to get a better look. He resists the urge to flinch. It’s really not his best work and it shows. After a second of intense scrutiny, Chief Freeman shakes her head with a slight scoff and stalks off.
“Chief? Where are you going?” Joe calls out, still holding his drawing up. The culprit is right here! Well, not here here but here on paper. She’s halfway up the beach already and doesn’t even turn around to acknowledge he spoke. Great.
“Nice work, Kaysani,” Andy says, snatching her pen and pad back, a pleased look on her face, and runs to catch up to the Chief.
“A dinosaur?” Booker asks, mouth downturned, fingers working the buttons in his sleeves to roll them back down to a more professional length. No, we were supposed to get fish tacos after this. “Jesus, Joe. You couldn’t have shot for something in the last million years?”
Joe places his hands on his friend’s chest and steps in his way, “Give me a minute, or an hour to prove it was a Tyrannosaurus rex.” Booker shakes his head, the disappointed look doing funny things to Joe’s stomach, pats Joe on the shoulder, and steps around him to leave.
Great, just great. Even his best friend didn’t believe him. Joe rubs his temples, he can feel a faint throb and he hopes that it’s just a regular throb and not a foreshadow for a migraine.
“I thought the drawing was pretty good.”
Joe drops his hand and turns around. Nicky has that faint smile on his lips that Joe’s still trying to figure out if it means he likes Joe or likes likes Joe. He’s already made it obvious on multiple occasions how he feels about Nicky.
With Nicky’s looking at him like that, it’s so easy to smile. “Thanks!” And because no one else is here to witness his humiliation, he makes his smile a little more flirty. “You know, I can always use a live model.”
Nicky cocks an eyebrow at him, the faint smile still there, maybe even a little wider if Joe’s not delusional. “I’m going to go calm Andy.”
“Don’t die, I’d hate to miss your pretty face.” A light blush creeps up Nicky’s neck as he nods and jogs back up the beach.
Joe doesn’t stare at Nicky’s ass. He doesn’t, because that would be rude and Nicky is more than a beautiful body.
It’s a good thing the only witness is a dead body.
Joe turns back to the dead body. “Definitely not a boating accident.”
—
Joe slumps against the growing mound of dirt. He’s exhausted. He feels like he completed an Iron Man and climbed Mount Everest twenty times. Who knew being shot at could be so draining? To make matters worse, the throb from this morning was a foreshadow. His eyeballs are going to explode any second now with how strong his head is pounding. He digs his knuckle into the valley between his eyes until it hurts, it’s a different hurt than the one going on behind his eyes though, that it feels strangely good.
Joe sighs, at least one good thing happened today; he was right about the body. It’s a real shame he doesn’t have ‘Use a 20-year-old Tyrannosaurus rex model built by a 9-year-old Booker to solve a murder case’ on his bingo card. He would’ve been the only one to mark it down.
A bottle of water is placed on his lap and Joe opens his eyes, a ‘thanks, Booker’ on his tongue. Except, it’s not Booker standing above him, it’s Nicky.
Joe musters up the best smile he can despite feeling like death has crawled its way inside him through his eyes. “What are you doing here?”
“Your head’s been hurting all day,” Nicky says, crouching down, a small frown on his face. He pulls two packets out of his pocket and holds them out to Joe. One’s red and the other’s green. “I didn’t know if it was a regular headache or a migraine, so, I got both.”
Joe stares at the two packets. Nicky bought him medicine. Nicky saw that he was hurting and brought him something to feel better. Joe swallows the lump in his throat, reaches out for the red packet. “Thank you,” Joe says, brushing his fingers with Nicky’s.
The corners of Nicky’s lips tick upwards, “No problem.”
Joe tears the packet open and dumps both pills in his hands before tossing them into his mouth. Nicky has the bottle of water open and held out for him and Joe takes it with a grateful nod. Even though he swallows the pills on the first gulp, he finishes the whole bottle. Only when he’s done, does he remember that Booker might want some too.
“I gave him a bottle too,” Nicky says and that’s a sign, right? That has to be a sign of how amazing they would be together. “The pharmacist said those pills should work in 15 minutes.” Joe nods, he’s intimately familiar with the wonders of Excedrin. He would’ve taken one around lunch if they hadn’t been following another lead at the time.
“Thank you,” Joe repeats, closing his eyes again even though he wants nothing more than to stare into Nicky’s gorgeous blue eyes. He hears and then feels Nicky settle beside him, no doubt getting his suit all dirty, and he’s doing that for Joe.
“Is there anything else I can do?”
Joe shakes his head, “You’ve helped a lot already. We just have to wait now.” Joe resumes his earlier ministrations, digging into that spot that hurt but was a better hurt than the one inside.
Cold fingers slide over his own, “Don’t press too hard, you’ll hurt yourself,” Nicky chides.
Joe grabs Nicky’s wrist and guides those cold fingers until they’re covering his eyes. Relief instantly hits and Joe presses those cold fingers harder against his eyes.
“Should’ve gotten an ice pack,” Nicky mutters to himself.
“S’fine, your hands are working.”
They sit in silence as they wait for the pills to kick in. Every few minutes, Nicky switches hands and Joe doesn’t even have to hold his wrist anymore. He knows how hard to press and it’s nice. It’s really nice. He can almost ignore Booker digging in the background and the occasional splash of dirt that rains down on both of them.
“Never thought my poor circulation would come in handy,” Nicky jokes when the migraine finally subsides.
Joe grins and reaches out to press a kiss to both palms. “They were lovely.”
“Please tell me I’m not going to have to listen to you two flirt the entire night,” Booker calls out from the hole. “I don’t want you two ruining my discovery.”
Excuse me?
“Your discovery?” Joe asks, crawling over the mound to look down at Booker. He’s made an impressive amount of progress. Probably only six more feet before they hit the skull.
Booker stabs the shovel into the dirt, both of his hands coming up to rest on his waist. “I’m digging, so yes, my discovery.”
Joe makes an outraged sound, “I found the right hole!”
“It wasn’t a hole! I’m making it a hole!” To prove his point, Booker picks up the shovel and tosses the next scoop at Joe.
Joe should’ve seen that one coming.
“Alright, I’m going to go home. Have fun digging, boys,” Nicky says and when Joe turns around, he’s brushing dirt off himself. “I’ll see you later?”
Joe nods his head probably a little too enthusiastically, “Definitely. Thank you again for the pills. I’d still be dying if you hadn’t have come back.”
Nicky smiles, the small one, and one day Joe’s going to see if he can get him to grin ear-to-ear, lips stretched so wide his cheeks will hurt. But not today. Today, he’s going to make history by being the first Psychic Paleontologist.
Nicky dips his head again and yeah, Joe hates to see him go but he sure as hell loves to watch him leave.
That ass is definitely better than a charcoal drawing.
A new spray of dirt rains down on him and that’s it.
It’s a shame no one is there to hear Booker’s loud yelp as Joe tackles him to the floor. Oh well, it’ll live rent-free in Joe’s mind forever.

Sunshine on A Cloudy Day: Sana x Reader
tw// chronic illness, hospitals, needles, mention of cancer
it’s a high school au btw
this is based on my personal experience. pls be respectful as it wasn’t easy for me to write this :)
Your alarm played through your room, waking you up immediately. You pressed snooze at least seven times before actually getting up and dressing yourself for the long day that was to come.
You pulled on your favorite t shirt and pajama pants before tugging on a sweatshirt. You checked the time before packing your bag, making sure to add your laptop and phone along with their chargers, snacks, socks, favorite stuffed animal, and a few extra school assignments.
By the time you made it downstairs your mom was already waiting for you. Quickly she handed you an apple and muffin to eat on the car ride.
“Okay sweetie I have a meeting this morning from 8 until 11. I’ll bring you lunch, just text or call and tell me what you want.” Your mother spoke not taking her eyes off the road as she drove.
Your mom pulled out her wallet and handed you two familiar cards, telling you to tuck them away until someone inside asked for them.
“Alright sweet girl I’ll be back soon, if they have any issues call me and I can sort it out.” Your mom kissed your forehead before letting you out the car, watching you walk inside before driving away.
Your feet felt heavy as the familiar smell of saline and disinfectant filled your nose. You grabbed a disposable mask off the lobby desk and put it on.
As you started to walk towards the elevator a woman called after you “maam!”
You turned around and pulled down the mask “don’t worry I’m still a minor. I’m going to the 4th floor.”
The woman nodded and gave you a thumbs up with a smile before turning back to check in adults.
It was still early so not many people were in the hallways, except the emergency wing. It is always packed no matter what.
You made your way to the fourth floor hoping if you wakes slower you just wouldn’t have to go. But that wasn’t how it worked and you knew it.
When you entered the waiting room you found a seat by the window. The dull grey sky offered no source of light, leaving you to rely on the fluorescent ceiling panels for brightness.
“Miss Y/LN?” The woman at the desk called your name, waving you over.
“Good morning sweetie haven’t seen you for a few weeks now.” She smiled as she spoke her tone was calming but also happy.
She asked “you got the insurance card for me?” You nodded and handed her one of the cards waiting for her to tell you how much you owed for today’s visit.
“And you have a $30 copay today, would you like to take care of that now?” You nodded and handed her the second card your mom gave you earlier. She finished checking you in “alright they’ll call you back in a bit.”
You sat down and pulled out your phone knowing that your girlfriend was actually awake now.
Y/N: hey
Sana 💞: good morning jagi
Sana 💞: you have an appointment today right?
Y/N 💘: yeah...kinda just wanna go back home
Sana 💞: it’s okay i’ll come over after school and make it better
Y/N 💘: you don’t have to i’ll be fine, this isn’t new
Sana💞: no girlfriend obligations
Sana 💞: i’m coming and you can’t stop me
Y/N 💘: okay fine
Y/N 💘: i’ll text you later, they’re calling me back now

It didn’t take long for your nurse to call you back and get you situated in a treatment room. There was only one other patient along with you. It was a little girl no more than 3 years old. You didn’t know exactly what she was getting but your heart broke at the thought considering what department you were in, Cancer and Blood Disorders.
It took 3 hours for your IV bag to get delivered to your floor so you turned on the tv hoping something good was on. You settled on Moana, the only thing that wasn’t the news.
“Alright love we just got your bag, you know the drill, vitals every ten minutes for the first 30 then i’ll come every hour. We should have you out in 5 hours if everything goes well okay?” Your favorite nurse Haseul explained to you quickly what was going to happen.
You found yourself in this same spot with her every couple weeks so she knew how you liked things to go.
“So how’ve you been missy? How’s Sana?” She poked your side getting you to smile for the first time today.
You told her “she’s really good...I haven’t seen her in three weeks though. She got sick for two and she had finals this week, but today is her last one.”
Haseul checked “so you didn’t see her when she was sick right? You know you can’t be around that with your anemia.”
You nodded softly remembering why you were even in the hospital in the first place. What was once a slight iron deficiency quickly turned into a chronic anemia that couldn’t be healed with oral supplements. Doctors had no other option than to put you on infusion treatments which sucked.
Although people were definitely going through worse, especially in this department, that didn’t take away from what you dealt with. The constant fatigue, dizziness, falling asleep in class, hair loss, being malnourished, all of it a constant reminder that you weren’t like most.
“Y/N!” Haseul snapped her fingers in front of your face.
You blinked rapidly “sorry what?”
Haseul responded “it’s okay I just needed to make sure you didn’t pass out on me. I need to put on your heart monitor.” She placed the stickers on your chest before grabbing the IV kit she placed on your lap earlier.
“Alright in your hand or arm today?” Haseul knows you prefer the arm but she always asks in case you change your mind.
You simply pointed to your arm before extending it so she could access your vein. Finding your vein was no problem, as you still had a raised bump from the last time you got treatment.
“Okay...and one two- there you go.” Haseul secured the IV with a Tergaderm, which was weirdly enough your favorite part of this whole process.
She left you and cane back every ten minutes to check your vitals before disappearing to help another patient for a bit.
You ended up spending the first two hours dozing in and out of sleep, waiting for your mother to call you. Eventually you did in fact wake up, and to the smell of your favorite food.
Your mother sat in a chair next to you on her phone talking to who you assume is a coworker. Quickly she hung up the phone so she could talk to you instead.
“Hey hows it going so far?” She asked with slight concern.
You told her “ fine just sleeping to pass time that’s all.”
She smiled before handing you a bag of food hoping it’d bring some form of joy to your day.
•
•
•
You both ended up enjoying an early lunch together but unfortunately she had to leave the hospital for an emergency meeting. It wasn’t unusual for this to happen so you were used to it, she’d simply be back at the end of your appointment.
Your phone buzzed next to you, pulling your attention away from your mother’s absence.
Sana💞: how are you doing so far?
Y/N💘: it’s good. I’m watching Aladdin now :)
Sana💞: i wanna be there with you rn instead of in math class
Y/N💘: your day is almost over then you can see me
Y/N💘: think of it that way
Sana💞: yeah but i still wish i was with you
Y/N💘: soon
Sana💞: ok fine. i have to go i love you
Y/N💘: i love you too babe
Around the third hour you became irritable and ended up walking the hallways with Haseul. She was honestly the only thing that made you feel normal in this place.
When the two of you got back you were tired and worn out from the walk. It didn’t seem like a long distance to most but you definitely were feeling it.
You found your spot back in the treatment room, sitting in your chair and reclining it back. Just as you were going to close your eyes Haseul called your name.
“Y/N. You’ve got a visitor would you like her to come back?” Haseul didn’t bother to open the curtain to tell you who it was so being the curious girl you were, you allowed it.
Sana walked in with a smile on her face, it was like your sunshine on a cloudy day. It was clear she had just finished school as she was still in her uniform, and she was wearing her backpack.
“Ho- Sana? Why? How did you even get in here?” You asked her through a laugh.
Sana responded “nobody stopped me downstairs and I know you’re on this floor. The lady at the desk outside was very nice too!”
You immediately sat up, not realizing that was a bad idea given your position. Closing your eyes tight you tapped your finger on the arm rest of your chair, waiting for the dizziness to stop.
When you opened your eyes you saw Sana in front of you, a frown on her face. It broke her heart to see you, her girlfriend, in this state. You always tried to make it seem like you weren’t sick but it was very obvious that you still were no matter how much you pretended otherwise.
She placed a blanket over you before running her thumb along your face and softly saying “my baby girl...”
You smiled at her knowing it might possibly make her less sad but it didn’t do much.
She could tell you were tired so she told you “it’s fine just sleep.”
By the time you woke up it was time for you to leave. Haseul had flushed your IV and took your vitals for the last time while you were asleep.
Your mother was downstairs in the parking garage waiting for you and Sana so you could go home.
It was clear by the look on your face that you felt nauseous, a common side effect of your treatment, from the second you stood up.
Sana gathered your things and help you put on your sweatshirt and bag before you two headed downstairs.
You interlocked you’re hand with hers as you felt dizzier with every step you took. She could tell you were having a hard time but she knows how much you try to hide it. When you both made it to the car you fell asleep almost instantly.
Sana helped you to your room, quickly helping you to bed before stealing some of your clothes to wear for herself.
You sleepily held out your arms for her, a soft whimper leaving your lips. She crawled under the covers and you immediately clung to her. You were shivering as if you were standing in snow with only a bathing suit on. Your hands and fingers started turning blue, indicating you body temperature was dropping, a side effect of treatments.
Sana pulled you closer and kissed the top of your head as your fingers curled around her shirt, holding her close.
It only took ten seconds before you started sobbing into her chest. As much as you wanted to pretend you were fine and not in pain, you couldn’t hide it anymore. Breaking down in her arms you sobbed until you fell asleep. She felt terrible knowing there was nothing she could do to fix it, but she knew that you appreciated her being there for you.
You only slept for an hour before you woke up in a cold sweat. Your t shirt clung to your back as you kicked off your blankets seeking some sort of way to cool yourself down. That did little to nothing so you scrambled to the bathroom hoping cold water would do the trick.
Sana knew this was yet another side effect of your treatment, a high fever. Your cheeks burned red as you splashed your face with water in the sink. Much to your relief it worked and you were finally able to get back in bed with her.
Your girlfriend held you in her arms tight as if she never wanted to let go.
“Thank you...” You softly spoke as she drew small circles along the small of your back.
“For what?” She asked curiously.
You mumbled “everything...just everything you do for me.”
She giggled softly “you know i’d do anything for you baby.”
Mumbling softly you told her “i love you.”
She responded quickly “i love you too.”
Letting your eyes close you further melted into her embrace as she tightened her arms around you. In the back of your mind you were reminded why you always said i love you before you fell asleep. Besides the fact that you did in fact love her, but if you happened not to wake up tomorrow, the last thing she heard from you was those three words.
Nevertheless you hoped and prayed you’d wake up in the morning to see her smiling face.

Fragments of the Garden - Origins - part 1
A companion collection to Dancing With Ghosts in Your Garden
(ao3 link)
Getting into Diagon Alley had been a bit of an event, her mother had to take off work and get Bo up and off to school before they could finally head out. The time and place on the parchment had been specified down to the minute, but as they seemed to circle the same block for the hundredth time Satine started to wonder if maybe this was all some elaborate prank.
“I’m sorry, love,” her mother finally turned to her, “It’s supposed to be right here, but I don’t see a Leaky Cauldron anywhere along this stretch,” Satine looked back down at the parchment again, rereading the same message she had a thousand times since receiving it. Disappointment started to seep into her bones and she looked up in desperation, one last time scanning the buildings around them. Her eyes drifted just right of her mum and she lit up.
“It’s there!” Satine pointed her finger at the old iron sign dangling over the door, dripping water on passing pedestrians. When she glanced up at her mother though she was only met by confusion.
“Uh, what is dear?” Her mother’s eyes seemed to skim over the building without seeing it, and Satine was struck with an odd feeling of experiencing something that her family never would.
“The Leaky Cauldron,” Satine answered, grabbing her mum’s hand in her own, “I’ll show you,” Determined she pulled them across the street and up to the building, her mum still showed no signs of acknowledgement so Satine pulled open the door and dragged her inside.
“Oh,” the soft gasp came from behind her and she glanced back to see the surprised look on her mum’s face, it seemed entering the building was enough to break through whatever weird magic surrounded the place and she followed her mum’s gaze from the owls swooping through the windows to the dishes washing themselves in the kitchen.
“You must be the last of the muggleborns,” A creature was approaching them, eyes like a hammerhead shark and face long, it took Satine a moment of staring to realize that their mouth was on their neck, “You’re a little late, but I know we can be a little hard to find,” The creature pulled out a piece of parchment and skimmed it over, “So you’re the Kryze’s?”
“I’m Satine, and this is my mum,” She found herself answering for them, her mother looked a little pale so it was probably for the best.
“You can call me Jho,” they said pulling out a brown stick, that Satine realized with belated excitement was likely a magic wand, “Follow me and I’ll let you into Diagon Alley, make sure you buy a wand when you get in there, because otherwise you’re not getting back in,” they made a sound that she assumed was a laugh and she tugged on her mum’s hand in order to follow close behind.
“How many pounds is a wand?” She wondered aloud and Jho scoffed.
“Pounds. When you get inside you should first go to Gringotts, transfer over the amount your letter told you to bring and they’ll give you real money,” They were facing a brick wall and Jho turned back to them for a moment, “Welcome to Diagon Alley,” they turned back and tapped a pattern into the bricks with their wand and suddenly the whole wall melted away, bricks turning into themselves to get out of the way and a bustling path with funnily dressed people was revealed. Satine stepped through pulling her mum in with her and the wall closed up behind them.
“Hello you must be the Kryze’s,” They turned and were greeted by someone who looked almost human, but with white and blue pieces coming from her head instead of hair, “I’m Professor Shaak Ti from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, here to help our new muggleborns find their way in our world,” Satine’s mum stepped forward dropping her hand for the first time.
“It’s lovely to meet you. I must say I’m very overwhelmed,” Her mum had seemed to have gotten over the shock and Satine took the opportunity to tune out the grown-up talk and gaze around the new world she’d stepped into.
Owls seemed to be a common theme as they swooped around in broad daylight, landing near magical folks wearing a wide variety of interesting clothes. Most commonly seemed to be cloaks and funny hats, but she saw one witch wearing an outfit entirely made of feathers and hoped very much that her school uniform would not be something that itchy. Her attention was drawn next to the shop windows. There was one with a broom floating in the window, many children seemed to be gathering around it so she wondered if maybe it was a toy of some sort. A building with sweets in the window boasted such things as cauldron cakes and pumpkin pasties instead of chocolate croissants and eclairs and she saw a tall wobbly looking stack of cauldrons in the next. Her eyes landed on another window jam packed with books and her heart leapt in excitement.
Satine had always been a reader. She read during both class and lunch, as well as nearly constantly at home and when she’d gotten her letter to Hogwarts, she’d read that too, but she hadn’t considered that a new world of people would provide her a new world of books to read. She found herself approaching the window, excited to read the spines until her mum was done talking when a flash of dark fabric bumped into her sending her falling backwards onto the cold stone pavement.
She looked up and her eyes met that of a witch’s, they were such a light blue they looked like ice, although Satine would maybe attribute some of that to the witch’s personality.
“Watch where you’re going, girl,” She spoke sharply, and the wizard behind her turned and rested his eyes on Satine too. His were a dark blue, but held the same kind of coldness, like how she imagined the bottom of the ocean would feel like.
“They’ll let anybody in here these days,” The first part was spoken under his breath, but not quiet enough for Satine to miss it, “We have more important things to worry about than another lost, muggleborn,” He turned on his heel and continued on.
“Don’t muggle parents teach any manners,” the witch also spoke as she turned to follow her companion further down the street.
Shocked and confused Satine continued to sit where she fell staring off after them. She jumped when suddenly a hand was thrust into her view.
“Need a hand?” She turned and looked at the newcomer, he was a boy near her own age, with a wide grin and warm brown eyes. She took his hand and he pulled her up, “Are you ok?”
“I think so,” She replied, but found herself still staring after the icy couple.
“Hey, whatever they said, don’t let it bother you,” The boy gained her attention again, “They’re pretty much as old-fashioned and traditional as you can get,”
“You know them?” Satine questioned.
“Yeah, the Kenobi’s,” the boy rolled his eyes, “My family used to attend their pureblood dinner parties until a couple years ago when my older brother Hevy lost his temper… But good riddance I’ll say, none of us Fett’s care too much about blood status politics anyways,” Satine’s head was reeling trying to make sense of it all.
“Purebloods?” Satine asked, too busy trying to catalogue all these new terms to ask it with a little more of her usual finesse.
“Purebloods are wizards whose family line is all magical,” He answered, and with the realization of who she likely was he continued, “There are halfbloods who have one magical parent and one muggle parent, and muggleborns who have 2 muggle parents.”
Satine thought back to the words the Kenobi’s had said to her and a new fire started burning in her chest. She had no time for such an old-fashioned way of thinking, she needn’t prove herself to them she’d been invited here and that was enough. Still they’d manage to plant a small seed of doubt in her mind.
“I hope I never see another Kenobi again,” She decided and the boy laughed loudly at that.
“I understand that sentiment,” He agreed, mirth still sparkling in his eyes, “By the way, the name’s Cody.”
***
Riding the train had been exciting, looking up at the castle had been extraordinary, but standing next to her peers waiting to be shepherded through the doors to the great hall was as nerve wracking as it could get.
Cody, who she’d written to a few times to test her new owl, Sundari, had explained a lot of wizard things, especially the sorting. Cody laughed at her on the train and said if there was any way she was anything, but a Ravenclaw he’d eat every vomit flavored jelly bean in Honeydukes. She was still nervous though, and as the time crept closer even Cody looked a little pale.
The doors swung open suddenly and they followed the prefects inside, each student taking a moment to admire the starry night sky, before they stopped before the stool with the old sorting hat resting upon it. Cody had mentioned that they changed up the order of ceremony a lot, sometimes they’d go in alphabetical order or the reverse. Or they’d just go at random, Satine hoped that whatever way they went she’d be one of the first to get things over with.
So of course, it was her luck when they decided to go in alphabetical order anyways. Cody was called before her of course. His name was spoken loudly and it made it easy to pick out his older brother, and fourth year, Hevy who cheered embarrassingly loudly for his little brother. Cody stepped up onto the stage and sat on the stool, the hat barely sat on his head for a moment before shouting out for Gryffindor. The red and gold table cheered loudly, and Cody was smothered in a headlock by his brother as soon as he reached it.
Satine waited patiently as names were called all the way through J and readied herself for the K’s before suddenly the man up front started calling for Z’s. She felt a spark of indignant rage as they started going in reverse which would leave her as one of the last to go, she cursed her own luck as she tried and failed to not look a little grumpy.
Finally, finally her own name rang out over the crowd, and she heard some cheering from the direction of Gryffindor table as she stepped up shakily onto the stage. The hat was dropped over her eyes and she heard its voice speak through her own thoughts.
“Oh, quite right, with a mind like this it can only be,”
“RAVENCLAW!” The hat was removed from her head and she looked across the large room to see the dark blue and silver table cheering passionately for their new member. She felt something warm settle over her as she walked over to the table and was patted on the back and high-fived all the way to her seat. She’d worried a bit about belonging, but to think her place in this school had been so easily found made her grin widely. She sat down and had a minute to collect herself while they called the next student, and then maybe she could start making friends with the other Ravenclaw first years-
“Obi-Wan Kenobi!”
At first, she’d thought she was imagining the hush that crossed the room at that name given her own ears suddenly seemed muffled. She threw her gaze onto the stage as a boy with perfectly styled hair, and finely pressed robes walked poised up the steps to the stage. The words of the older Kenobi’s, who could only be his parents, rang in her ears as she frantically made eye contact with Cody over at the Gryffindor table, who gave her a worried look and a shrug. They both turned back to the stage and waited for the final verdict of who would have to put up with the son of the most pretentious wizarding family in England.
***
When Obi-Wan Kenobi had first gotten his letter to Hogwarts, he’d reacted with the poise and manners that his mother had instilled in him since he was born.
“Your letter came today,” His mother had said, handing it over to him, “When your father gets home from work today, he will once again tell you what you are expected to do,” Obi-Wan didn’t spare a glance at the letter, instead keeping direct eye-contact with her.
“Yes Mother,” He replied as he had been instructed to do and she nodded in acknowledgement.
“Now leave me to my work, you may have the afternoon to reflect,” He gave her a short bow in thanks and used every ounce of willpower not to scurry out of the room. Once his mother was out of sight though, he let all pretenses drop and all but ran to his bedroom.
Throwing himself onto his bed (he mentally noted to remake it before his mother saw the wrinkles) he hugged the letter delicately to his chest and grinned in absolute elation.
He’d been dreaming about this moment for as long as he could remember, memories of bedtime stories from his parents, before they’d deemed him too old, about their own time at the school. The absolute honor that they felt having been chosen for Slytherin and how one day he too would get to experience it. He’d dreamed of the green and silver robes when he was a child, but as years passed and his responsibilities around the house grew and grew, he found himself these days just dreaming of the school itself.
He chided himself for thinking that way, but if he were honest with himself about his own selfish desires, he was wishing these days about being away from this house and away from the people within it. He knew he’d never escape the demands of his family and he would be foolish to ever try, but he certainly wouldn’t mind them not breathing down his neck every moment of the day.
Once again he shook his head, banishing the thoughts, he knew he was lucky to be a Kenobi such thoughts about his parents he really shouldn’t consider. They’d given him all the finest toys as a child, and on his 6th birthday when they’d swapped out all his toys for fancy robes, they’d gotten him only the best, plus, he remembered with excitement, they’d let him choose one sweet from Sugarplum’s and didn’t even bother to remind him that boys should not have such a fondness for chocolate.
This year, on his eleventh birthday, they’d given him the greatest gift a wizard could ever receive, he turned over on his bed eyeing the sleek Elder wand on his bedside table. It had been darkened with a varnish and there was a real strip of silver winding around the grip. It was his prized possession.
The reminder of the wand brought him back to the letter still gripped tightly in his hands. Gently he peeled back the wax seal, and pulled out the parchment within. He didn’t need to read the letter, already knowing exactly what it said, but that didn’t stop him from reading his name over and over again, wanting to memorize the script in case he was in a dream he would wake up from.
He eventually left the letter and the list, tucked back inside the envelope, on his nightstand. It was rare he had the afternoon off from chores or some sort of manners lesson, so he would be foolish to waste it daydreaming. He remade his bed, sheets perfectly smooth, and sat at his desk pulling out his father’s old transfiguration textbook for the hundredth time, flipping it back to page one.
***
When Professor Windu called his name, it all became real to him. He ignored the hushed whisper that fell across the hall, his parent’s reminders to stand up straight and walk with purpose echoing loudly in his head as he started forward. His palms were sweating, but he ignored it in favor of schooling his expression to be neutral, his eyebrows pulled together slightly as the whispers got louder and the hat stared at him funny, but his father's disappointed tone smoothed his expression once more. Once he had sat down on the stool, facing the audience, he knew from experience he did not look any part nervous.
“Well, well a Kenobi, welcome back,” the hat spoke as it slid down over his eyes. It was silent for much longer than he’d expected and he fought the urge to fidget, “You seem to think you’ll be assigned to Slytherin,” The hat commented finally.
“I’m a Kenobi,” He thought back as if it was obvious, “My place is in Slytherin, like my family before me,” The hat hummed which felt very odd, like a vibration through his skull.
“Your family has fit into the Slytherin name for generations,” The hat agreed and Obi-Wan mentally agreed with satisfaction.
Yes, he was certainly on his way to following the guides his father had set up for him, he’d be a Slytherin and make friends within it, work towards becoming a legislator and-
“It’s my place to determine where you will succeed,” The hat interrupted his thoughts to muse once more, “I think the best place for you would be-”
“RAVENCLAW!”
***
The hat had been silent for so long Satine had been starting to wonder if something was wrong. So, when the announcement had finally been made, she jumped in surprise before the words really registered within her mind.
“Ravenclaw,” She echoed in surprise, and the realization finally dawned on her. She watched as the pristine boy walked down from the stage, he still looked bland and neutral almost like he was bored by the whole thing and it made Satine rather mad. When he passed by her she ignored him, she would not cheer for someone like Kenobi. She did make eye contact with Cody again who seemed very surprised about something, but she would not have time to bother him about it now. The feast was beginning and even her disdain for Kenobi would have to wait until after such a marvelous feast was enjoyed.
***
The feast was everything he dreamed it would be, but he found himself staring at his empty plate rather than gathering anything for himself. The Silver plate was almost right, but the blue table cloth just kept the hat’s voice echoing in his head, ‘Ravenclaw!’
Him? A Ravenclaw, that hat had to be daft, and likely had it out for him, seeing as how his parents may actually kill him for this. It wasn’t even his first day here and he’d already failed them. Surely, he’d be forced to polish every single one of his fathers awards next time he was home. For this he may even have to shine all the dishes too. Though, he supposed, he’d be lucky if they didn’t lock him up in his room all winter break.
Him, A Ravenclaw! Sure, he liked learning, but didn’t that show his ambition? That was a Slytherin trait, right? And he supposed resourcefulness and creativity could be seen as similar traits. Maybe it was because he wouldn’t describe himself as cunning, but he couldn’t really see himself as witty either.
He noticed suddenly that there were eyes on him. He looked up from the table, suddenly realizing where he was and made automatic eye contact with a girl across the table from him. She was also a first-year judging by her robes, she had hair the color of wheat and eyes the color of the sky which she was using to glare at him now that she had his attention.
“Um, hello there,” He greeted, nearly biting off his own tongue for using a filler word, his father would really have his head come winter break, if this was the path he’d be going down.
“Don’t tell me you’re not planning to eat anything,” Her voice was filled with fire, “You know that’s quite rude,” He didn’t know what had provoked her, but he did realize that perhaps what she said may be true.
“Well, it’s not really your business, but I’ve no appetite this evening,” He retorted, but still glanced at the feast around him for something to take, he didn’t want to offend the staff. He reached for a roll, but suddenly the food vanished and the desserts appeared.
“Serves you right,” She said, before ignoring him in place of spooning pudding onto her own plate.
Obi-Wan stared at the desserts lining the table, there were many he’d always wanted to try and his eyes kept coming back to the chocolate pudding. He caught himself mentally begging the girl to call him out again as an excuse to have some, but she didn’t, so he just stared off across the room at the Slytherin table and listened to his mother’s voice echoing in his head.

The Meet Cute
Jason Todd x Female Reader
Summary: Jason meets you for the first time and is smitten by you. It’s your first day of school at Gotham Academy and when Jason sees you at school for the first time everything that can go wrong in front of your crush does.
Author’s note: So, here begins my various one-shots of Jason Todd/Red Hood x Reader//y/n AKA my current obsession. I may compile all of them into chronological order once everything is done. I just really wanted to write and post something. I just have too many WIP’s right now that I need to focus on.
Before Reading: You and Jason meet as seniors in high school.
They aren’t exact ages. This is just a world that I made using these characters because I can. Meaning Jason hasn’t died yet, in this AU (not that it matters for this story – he won’t die and become Red Hood until age 22/23)
Selina is your godmother. You are the child of Selina’s childhood friends. There is no family relationship between you and Jason even though you will be living in Wayne Manor and occasionally call Selina, Auntie.
Sorry if its a little out of character, this is just based on my knowledge that tumblr has given me.
“Are we allowed to be here?” Dick asked as he pulled up the car to the music venue.
“Yeah!” Jason said giddily with excitement. “The venue said, shows are open to those 18+ and I just turned 18!”
“I guess. I feel like we fought crime here before.” Dick looked around the area.
“Where haven’t we fought crime in Gotham.” Jason shrugged, “Let’s go!”
Jason and Dick wait in line for the rock show. The venue marks Jason’s hands with a big stamp that showed he was underage to drink and without Dick, he ran into the venue. Letting the sound of the music envelope him, he moved his way through the crowd when he got caught in a mosh pit and someone much bigger than him grabbed him in and threw him down.
“C‘mon dude!” You effortlessly help Jason up off the floor.
Jason, even though he was 18 and still in high school, he was not a small dude he was Robin at night, and during the day between homework and theatre, he was fighting with the Titans. He was not small. Compared to you, he was a giant, even though, when he stood up he was only a head taller than you. The way you swooped in from the mosh pit to help him up, took his breath away.
“You okay?” you yell over the sound of the music.
Your y/h/c was in a high ponytail and you had the perfect cat-eye eyeliner wing. You looked breathtaking. Sweaty and beautiful you were wearing a black t-shirt that was tied in the front, with ripped black skinny jeans, a red flannel, and black converse high tops. He never loved the color red so much than this moment.
“Hey!” you snap him back to reality as he nods still speechless looking into your y/e/c eyes with the lights and moving in the background.
“Good!” you give him a half-smile, followed by a wink, before going back into the mosh pit.
“There you are!” Dick grabbed Jason’s arm and pulled himself towards Jason “I thought I lost you back there.”
Jason doesn’t move and doesn’t pay attention to Dick as he’s watching your petite form in the crowd. How well you handle yourself as you throw down with the other people in the mosh pit.
“Dick, I think I’m in love.”
“What?” Dick yells over the music “I! Can’t! Hear!”
Jason grabs this brother’s shirt collar and points him over to you “Girl. High pony! Headbanging!” Jason couldn’t take his eyes off you as you headbang to the music. “I. Love. Her.”
Dick looks back and forth between her and him.
“WHAT?!”
He wanted to hang out with you all night, there was one time during the show where you were crowd surfing and you got on stage with the band and jammed out with them. He ran into you often that night and you two shared some laughs and some dance sessions. It was a night he would remember.
Then his alarm went off. It was the next morning and Jason couldn’t get you out of his head. He got up and got ready for the first day of his senior year. In the kitchen he made himself a bowl of cereal but walking to put the milk back he almost trips on the cat, spilling the milk.
“Do be careful Master Todd.”
“It was the cat!”
Alfred gave him a nod and continued cooking breakfast when Jason sat at the island and when he put his hand down the spoon went flying out of the bowl. “Ah! I’ll clean it.”
“Seems like today just isn’t your day.”
“I’m not superstitious and black cats aren’t bad luck.” Jason shrugged.
“You might not be superstitious but it might just be some bad luck.” and Alfred slid him a salt shaker and pointed over his left shoulder, “don’t forget the family dinner tonight. Now, please excuse me, I have to go wake up Master Drake so you two aren’t late to your first day.”
“Yeah.” Jason sighs and takes the salt and throws some over his left shoulder. Not for him, but for Alfred.
At school, you’re walking through the halls with your coffee, class schedule, and other paperwork in your arms. You’re on your phone when Jason is walking towards you and does a double-take unsure if you were the girl from last night. He jogs over to you and doing so he slips on a banana peel like in the cartoons and crashes into you. Causing you to spill coffee all over yourself.
“I’m so sorry! Are you okay?” Jason says quickly getting up and offering a hand to help you up. You take his hand and when he saw your face, he couldn’t believe his eyes. You were the girl from the show last night.
“I’m good it was just iced.” You wipe off your uniform best you can, but your white blouse was now stained. You looked up at Jason who was quietly staring at you. A cat had run away with his tongue.
“Excuse me.” You use your jacket to cover up your chest, begining to walk away.
“No!”
You stop and furrow your brows at him.
“Fuck, I mean, I’m sorry about your uniform.”
You still have your chest covered. “It’s whatever.”
“I’ll buy you a replacement coffee later.”
“It’s fine.” Then the warning bell for class rang. “I have to go.” You walk past him and throw away the cup and continue with your day. Jason watched you walk away and slapped himself in the forehead. How did he fuck something up as easy as that?!
Ironically enough, for the rest of the day, you keep running into each other. Literally. After the first incident and before lunch he waves to you. As he walks over to you he trips and falls into you. Knocking all your stuff out of your arms.
“Hi.” Jason sheepishly greets from on top of you.
“Hi.” You shove him off of you and start picking up your things.
“I’m so sorry, I’m usually not this clumsy.” He responds helping you pick things up.
“I’m sure.” You respond with a slightly annoyed tone.
“I’m going to make this all up to you.”
“It’s fine.” You go to reach for your pencil and he does the same and you two bang heads.
“Shit.”
“Fuck.”
You two swore, grabbing your foreheads. You quickly snatch your pencil and get as far away from him as possible.
“I’m sorry!”
At lunch, he sees you at a table outside, and a little bit over behind you he sees a coffee cart. A lightbulb goes off in his head and he buys you a coffee and one for himself. He’s minding his own business and at the same time keeping an eye on you to make sure you haven’t disappeared. Once he gets the coffee, he begins walking over to you. He’s rehearsing what he’s going to say to you once he gets to your table.
Hey, I’m Jason. Sorry about today. No. Hey, were you at the Favorite Places show last night?
But getting caught up in his thoughts he trips over his own feet and spills the iced coffees all over you from behind.
You jump at the sudden burst of cold liquid all over you. “Oh my god!” You get up and turn around you see the same boy from earlier.
“Are you fucking SORRY?!”
Your jaw drops even further than it had already. Jason’s face goes super red. You shake your head and start gathering up your things.
“That’s not,” he gets up from the ground, “What I wanted to say.” He squeaked.
You roll your eyes and continue to ignore him. With your stuff barely packed away, you grab your jacket uniform, the only dry clothing item you now have on you, and walk away from him.
“Fuck.” Jason grabbed his head. Today was going great.
On your way to the last period of the day, you two make eye contact across the courtyard. There was something about you that took Jason off guard. When you saw him, you turned around going back inside the building to avoid walking near him. He was devastated.
Later that evening in Wayne Manor:
“Hey Little Wing,“ Dick walked into Jason’s room “ooooo....” he leaned against the door frame. The room is dark and Jason is slumped over his bed, “is this a bad time?”
“Pretty sure the girl from last night was at school today and everything went WRONG.”
“Ouch.” Dick flicked on the light, “What happened?”
“What didn’t happen?!” Jason sat up in bed. “I spilled coffee on her twice, but not just two cups of coffee. Three. She was drenched in ice coffee by lunch.”
“Oh, that sounds like a bad day for her and you.”
“Young masters, please report to the main dining hall, dinner is ready,” Alfred announced over the intercoms.
“You can talk more along the way.”
Jason explained everything that happened at school today to Dick and when they got into the dining room Bruce and Selina were there along with Tim and Damien and the last person that Jason laid his eyes on was you.
Jason’s jaw dropped.
Your eyes narrowed.
“Jason! Dick! Take a seat this is my goddaughter, y/n.” Selina introduced, “She’ll be staying with us and going to Gotham Academy with you and Tim.”
“Hi, I’m Dick.” he reached out his hand and shook hands with you, “Pleasure meeting you.”
You shakes his hand and gives him a smile in return and Dick takes a seat one away from you, leaving the only space at the table next to you for Jason.
You then turn your attention to Jason. “And you must be Jason.”
Hi.” Jason said sheepishly avoiding eye contact and quickly taking a seat at the table next to you.
“Wow, this is a first.” Selina said, “I have never seen Jason so quiet.”
Jason grows furiously red.
This was the worse karma.

Chapter 2: An Arrival to be Remembered
UFO has been sited entering the Earth’s atmosphere
Unknown armed and masked being exit ship heading towards the White House, is the President in danger?
Aliens spotted in D.C.
You woke up to the sound of your alarm, and got out of bed. You have been in the habit lately to start your day without checking your phone first. Mostly to avoid early morning emails from your boss before you have even had coffee.
You head to the bathroom relieve yourself, wash your face, and brush your hair. Exiting the bathroom you head to the kitchen and make yourself some breakfast and coffee. You enjoy the sunrise through the large windows in your apartment. Finishing eating you immediately wash your few dishes and get ready for work. You pick out your work ‘uniform’ of a black blouse and black trousers. You head to the bathroom to brush your teeth, put on a little makeup and get changed.
Heading back to the kitchen you prepare a to-go cup of coffee and pull out your lunch for work. Finally, you check your phone.
First, you see an email from your boss reminding you for the 10th time about the morning meeting that you have every Thursday. It isn’t like you to forget something you do every single week for the past year. Never once have you been late, in fact, he was always the one to forget. You wonder if these emails were meant more for him and less for you. But he was always the micromanager.
Next, you check your texts. Your usual morning photo from one of your siblings about one of your nieces/nephews. Another one from Hayden asking if you were still on for tomorrow night’s weekly bar trip. You answered ‘Yes 😀 .’ Another from Carter asking what you think of the news headlines this morning. Odd, although this isn’t the first time you two had discussed something like this it was odd to receive a text like this from them first thing in the morning.
You open Twitter to see #alieninvasiondc trending. You scroll through the news tag. Every major news site around the world is talking about the shuttlecraft that landed on the White House lawn last night, and the armed and armored soldiers that departed from the craft. All of the soldiers wore white armor, except one in silver. There was one who was in all black and a red-haired human-looking man among the group. Not much is known other than they haven’t been seen leaving the White House.
You text Carter back ‘Just looked now, either this is a hoax or the world as we know it is coming to an end. I’ll see you at work.’
You packed your work bag, grabbed your car keys and set off to work. You park in the ramp attached to your building and walk to the elevator. You wave at the security attendant to the opposing skywalk like you do every morning. You arrive at your floor and buzz-in. You say hi to Nancy in reception and head to your desk.
Strangely all of the televisions in the office were muted and tuned into CBC News, normally the one in the break room and the ones in reception were on, the others only really got used during Hockey Games or events like the Olympics. Your boss was in the walkway with his attention turned to his phone.
You set down your things at your desk and boot up your work computer while setting up your laptop on its stand. You did your usual check through work emails until the 9:00 AM weekly meeting. Your boss hasn’t moved from his position in the walkway.
8:55 AM hits and you grab what you need and head to the conference room. The tv was on in here as well. The others in the Marketing department filled in after you. Your boss, Scott, had yet to move from his place in the walkway. 9:00 AM hits and you continue small talk with your co-workers, most of the conversation is directed at the events in D.C.
9:05 AM your co-worker Ally sends a Slack message to your boss. He looks up from his phone to the clock on the wall and runs into his office. After a few minutes, he rushes out and into the conference room.
“Sorry, I am late everyone the Wife is just paranoid over this Alien Invasion thing. I can’t get her to stop texting me,” he chuckles.
Ironically this isn’t the first time he has been ‘late’ to a meeting after being on the phone with his wife an hour after work already started.
Suddenly you all get an Emergency Alert System notification on all of your phones.
‘International Emergency: Please tune in to your local news broadcasting station to receive an Emergency Report.’
Scott asks, “where is the damn remote?”
Ally hands it to him, he unmutes the tv.
The headline reads: ‘President of the United States has an Important International Government Update’
Live from Washington D.C.
On the screen, it shows the President of the United States, with the silver soldier, one in all black and the red-haired man from the video of the invasion last night.
“I have an important announcement. Earth has been contacted by people from space who call themselves the First Order. The First Order has informed me that they would like to peacefully work with Earth. As long as we fully cooperate as an entire planet no harm will come to any of us. Currently, our galaxy is at war, and the First Order seeks our help, in return of offering Earth protection from a group of people called the New Republic.
They have explained to me and the U.N. as a whole that the New Republic is not to be trusted along with their mercenary army called the Resistance. It is through my decision and the decision of the U.N. that we will cooperate and join forces with the First Order to be under their protection.
All citizens of Earth in the next 7 days must register with the First Order. You will be given a citizen number, some citizens may be reassigned to work directly with the First Order. All military personal will be reassigned to be under the First Order. You should not worry as most citizens will be unaffected, life will go on as normal. As long as citizens follow these orders and any orders to come, we shall be safe,” said the President. The President moved out of the way for the man in all black and with a black mask to move to the podium.
“I am the Supreme Leader of the First Order. I promise no harm will come to those who cooperate with us. We seek to peacefully transition your planet, as you know it Earth, to a primary First Order Planet. We value honesty and loyalty, along with hard work. We strive to rebuild the Empire and to maintain order in the galaxy. That is all,” The man's voice was distorted through the mask he was wear, it sounded mechanical or digital but it had a deep sound.
The broadcast cut back to the news anchor. “Currently all citizens of earth are to report to their a local city government building or town hall within the next 7 days for First Order registration and possible reassignment. All citizens must remain calm and do as the government has directed. Any questions or concerns will be answered by local government officials and First Order personnel. All foreign citizens to Canada will follow the same protocol as citizens. All citizens are asked to bring various forms of identification, such as a Passport, driver's license, birth certificate, social insurance number card, any immunization forms, military I.D. and more. You can find a full list of required documents at the CBC website or at canada.ca. As a reminder, all citizens are urged to stay calm and to follow all orders regarding and following First Order registration. Citizens are also advised to stay tuned to local news sources for any updates.”
The conference room sat stunned at the announcement.
“Well were f*****,” said Scott. “We are all surely f*****. Who are these people to think they can just take over like that? Do they think we are just going to sit by and let them brainwash us? Let them take everything from us?”
“I don’t think we have a choice, you heard the U.S. President, the U.N. is in agreement. This is for our own safety. If you are going to go against them and get yourself killed keep us out of it,” said Daniel one of your marketing co-workers.
“I’ll talk to Henry, and see if we can all take the week off, who knows this may be the last time we even get to see our families,” and with that statement, Scott left the conference room.
You sat there not really moving, processing what you just witnessed on the tv and the confrontation between Scott and Daniel. So did the rest of your co-workers. You could tell they were all in shock, the world as you knew it was about to change, the future had shifted.
All of your phones went off again. This time it was an email from Jonathan the CEO.
‘All employees will take today, tomorrow and next week off, in order to give proper attention to the government mandate. Please be safe and I hope to see you all come -Henry G. Wells’
Everyone in the conference room got up and went to their desks. The office was silent, except for the sounds of items being put away and people gathering their things. You were almost done getting ready to go when Carter appeared next to you.
They didn’t speak, for fear of being the first one to break the ominous silence. Carter just looked at you expectantly. You finished packing up and walked with them out of the office. The elevator was packed but silent. Everyone got off and walked to their cars. Carter followed you to yours.
Keeping their voice down, almost to a whisper, they asked, “I know I texted you this morning about all this but what do you think now? Do you want to go back to your place or mine?”
You thought about it for a moment before responding, “let’s go back to mine. We can discuss it from there.”
Carter accepted your response and went to their car to leave. You followed suit. Today was not what you expected.

“K - THE FIRST STORY”
CHAPTER 4: BLACK OR WHITE (Part 2)
* K - The First Story (List of Chapters) * Projects & Chapters
Translation: Naru-kun Raws: Ridia
Inside the lunch box, alongside the white rice, the colorful and well-balanced garnishes are well packaged. The boy thinks it's like being full of "happiness".
The boy loves it because it looks like the treasure chest with an unbalanced brown lunch that is filled with "special" items like meat and fried foods that are always blessed with recommended side dishes. However, he was impressed by the desperate lunch that Kuro prepared as a harmonious world.
From the lunch box, the boy takes a plump, beautiful yellow egg with chopsticks and puts it in his mouth. The sweetness spread through his mouth. He asked Kuro to do it yesterday, the rolled egg was delicious too, but the sweet flavored egg grill is good too.
While trying with a smile, he heard a clear voice next to him.
"Shiro has his own lunch with side dishes!"
Kukuri opened her eyes and looked towards the shrine that surrounded the lunch box with Kuro and Neko in the coffee shop. For whatever reason, he have two lunches on his hands.
He decided to advance through school with his own face, saying he was a "transfer student."
This school is located on an island, isolated from the outside, and basically he cannot enter the site without a pass. However, probably because they were relieved by safety, the people on the school island were enthusiastic about the safety aspect. Even the seemingly suspicious Kuro and Neko are accepted as "I'm a school person because I'm here with a natural face."
By the way, he managed to calm down Neko, who doesn't like clothes, and put her in the Ashinaka school girls uniform (when the boy praised Neko in uniform like "cute!) However, Kuro is still in his uniform. Also, even though he had a sword on his waist, the people around him naturally accepted Kuro's existence, probably because the boy was with him.
Kukuri looked at the contents of the boy's lunch box with a surprised look, and the boy put his hand on his cheek.
"This time it is my beloved wife's lunch."
"If you just say stupid things, I'll stick my tongue out at you."
Kuro draws his sword threatening to cut off the boy's tongue.
As for Neko, he has already eaten Kuro's lunch, and she looks at Kukuri's lunch and makes a voice that waits, "Are you hungry?" Kukuri opened the lunch box and asked, "Do you want to eat?" She opened the lunch box, but for some reason there was no main food, such as fried or roasted salmon, and various kinds of vegetable side dishes such as slow-cooked dishes, salads, and hot vegetables were packed in the lunch box. She wonders if she is on a diet.
Despite the interaction between Kukuri and Neko, the boy looks towards a PDA.
"Oh, what's up? It's different from the school's designated PDA."
Kukuri said, paying attention to the boy's PDA.
The boy's PDA has disappeared, therefore he borrows Kuro's. By the way, a handmade plush doll hangs from Kuro's PDA. When he told him that he thought it was a hobby that did not suit his face, it seems that it is a doll that he made himself, imitating the appearance of Miwa Ichigen, and from there he began to sigh the story of how wonderful Ichigen was. So sorry to ask. Frankly speaking, Kuro's emotion when he talks about "Ichigen" is very disgusting.
The boy squeezed Kuro's PDA and made another comment.
"It's from my wife."
"Do you really want to separate yourself from your tongue?"
Kuro draws his sword again threatening to cut off his tongue. He's not sure if he's unexpectedly good or if he's really mad, because he can't even pull a joke, but his reaction when he hit him is a bit funny.
After a little tantrum, Kuro regains his mind and turns to the boy looking at the PDA.
"Did you find out something?"
"No, it is an unclear image..."
What the boy sees on Kuro's PDA is that video of a person, who looks exactly like the boy, killing a person.
This was transferred from his classmate Mishina. He said he found this video on a website. With the curiosity and drive of a healthy high school boy, Mishina is good at watching erotic videos and images, avoiding the security restrictions placed on school-designated PDAs. Some of his classmates also have part of the videos that Mishina found. Yesterday, Mishina intercepted the boy in an uncrowded corridor and told him a secret story: "I found a bad video yesterday."
Although the boy does not have a young and perky sex drive like Mishina, he looks at Mishina's PDA with the feeling of "Well, if he wants to show it, I can't wait to see it." But, it was not an erotic video.
It is the video of a murder that was shown on a huge monitor in Shizume.
However, Mishina believed that this video was false. It seems to be treated like a naughty video even on the net. However, the criminal's face looked exactly like the boy, so he became interesting and came to show him.
Mishina laughed mockingly, saying, "If you did something wrong, should you be selfish?"
In fact, the boy cannot tell if it is a fake video. But if the person was actually killed and this was false, it would probably mean that the real criminal had redesigned the footage to replace himself with the boy. However, this video was taken by the murderer himself, and from what the video looks like, it appears that it was taken with a retro camera rather than a PDA. The video itself is also owned by "Homura", whose partner is the murdered person. Could the criminal have tampered with the video? If that is not possible, is it the crime of a person with the appearance of the boy? Is that possible?
The doubts have no end, but what the boy must do is not pursue the truth, but prove his innocence.
The boy never does. The boy who lives in the dormitory has rarely left Gakuenjima except to run errands these days.
The boy looks at the picture. It says "12.07 23:45". It's been a week. Of course, the boy does not remember leaving Gakuenjima at that time.
"Are you seeing it multiple times?"
Kukuri looks mysteriously at the boy's hands.
"Hmm, this is a mysterious video delivered by Mishina."
"Eh, Mishina-kun?"
Kukuri overreacted to Mishina's name. The cheeks are slightly tinted red. The boy suddenly remembered the incident that would save himself at Kukuri's appearance.
++++++++++
Fushimi snorted as he watched the scenes projected on the many monitors in the information room.
Each image in each location is displayed one after another on the monitor. Not only the city's surveillance cameras were collected and analyzed, but also all kinds of data such as personal camera images of PDAs and the content of private communications.
Knowledge of the system. As long as the system is up and running, there will be no privacy for the people of this country.
It was a system that prioritized investigations into people's human rights, which could be triggered by the special "Real Level" information disclosure request issued only in emergencies where an undetermined number of lives are in danger. Since the approval of the activation also requires the permission of the Prime Minister, the order of the "Golden King" Kokujoji Daikaku has also been obtained.
He doesn’t want to activate it to find a child.
Fushimi was alone in his heart and ironically distorted his mouth while looking at the private lives of strangers.
"It is quite a masterpiece."
"Help me if you have free time."
Awashima takes Fushimi's words as dislike without raising her eyebrows.
"I am not free."
Fushimi looks back at his desk and slides his finger over the keyboard.
On Fushimi's desk monitor, there was a video of the murder posted by "Homura." A bullet was fired into the roof of the Hirasaka building, in the Western District, at 11:45 p.m. on December 7.
Tatara Totsuka was not good for Fushimi. When he was in "Homura", even if he showed that he didn't like that Fushimi didn't get used to it, he didn't care and felt like he would stop him and see through the line that he really didn't want to step on. He saw it with his eyes. It was not good for those eyes.
He was a man of the opposite nature to Fushimi, and he always laughed with a face that everything he saw was funny.
"Totsuka-san, you are dead."
A whisper came from Fushimi's mouth.
Fushimi stared at the image of the man whose face was always smiling, falling on the concrete without force.
Suddenly something happened. Akiyama, who was doing the compilation work, called out to Awashima in a whispering voice, "Lieutenant Awashima!" The voice turned the eyes of everyone in the briefing room towards Akiyama.
There was a child on the monitor that Akiyama showed. The facial recognition matches the criminal boy that Fushimi just confirmed. Fushimi's expression also tightened slightly.
"Do you know where he is going?"
"Yes, please wait a moment."
Akiyama immediately responds to Awashima's question and runs his finger across the keyboard. Review the points on the web in chronological order. He was at the foot of a bridge where he is captured by Shizume's surveillance camera, an ordinary PDA camera trying to capture the confusion caused by "Homura's" people, and finally the boy.
A connecting bridge that spans from Tokyo Bay and leads to an artificial island. The boy goes over the bridge and enters the island. That was the last appearance of the boy found by "Yuishiki" (Wisdom).
Awashima looks at the map of the place where the boy was last seen.
"The Ashinaka school island?"
It is a gigantic school that is very independent and does not allow outsiders to enter easily, partly because the whole island is one site.
He hears Awashima mutter under her breath, saying it was troublesome.

Anna finally did.
Yata was running. Anger and fighting spirit burn the flames of the body. From that day on, he couldn't find a place to hit and was swirling in his stomach, turning Yata into a fiery bullet with the target he should be heading for now.
A motorcycle gets next to him and they run side by side, they seem to fly in the landscape around them. There was a huge body that he knew on the motorcycle.
"Yata-san! What's wrong?"
"Oh, Kamamoto! Very good, you are coming too!"
"Where you go?! What happened?!"
Yata looked down the road and told him to sharpen his eyes and growl.
"We're going to the school island."
"Gakuenjima? The school island in Tokyo Bay?"
"Just a moment ago, Anna's skill finally found out where it was!"
Kamamoto took a deep breath.
Anna is a member of the "Homura" clan, but has more power as a Strain than the power of fire. She has always been searching for the criminal's whereabouts with her sensitive ability.
It finally showed results.
Yata remembers the bar just before. Anna spread the map on the table and stared at the many red marbles rolling on it. Its responsiveness detects the criminal's signal, and the marbles move and gather towards a point on the map. Beneath the bright red marble is an artificial island in Tokyo Bay.
“Here.”, Anna's transparent voice said like a decree. The criminal is there.
Yata holds his hand tightly in his fist. That night, it was a hand holding a bloody body. This hand knows the cold body that fell on the rooftop in the middle of the night and the warmth of the blood that was spilled.
Yata gritted his back teeth tightly and said, "Kamamoto, take me." He put his hand on Kamamoto's shoulder and jumped into the back seat without slowing the skateboard propelled by his skill. At the same time, he kicked the skateboard and lift it to catch it in the air.
"Speed it up! I'm going to Gakuenjima to kill that damn guy!"
"Hey!"
Kamamoto twists the throttle grip to accelerate the motorcycle. Grasping Kamamoto's thick back, Yata puts his strength into his arm holding the skateboard.
"Wait, you fucking bastard!", he whispers into his mouth.

In the locker room, which was simply installed by pulling a curtain in the classroom, the boy dressed in a khaki kimono and looked at the borrowed PDA. The video plays on the PDA.
“The date shown in that video that was shown in the city was at 11:45 p.m. on December 7th. Given the distance between the school and the crime scene, it is not possible to move in an hour."
"And so..."
Kuro was also dressed in Japanese clothes. With a short sleeve and a hakama, the original long black hair hairstyle collected and the sword attached to the waist match, and it looks like a samurai.
The boy wears a yellow garment over a khaki kimono. It's a hand-sewn costume for a female student, but it's pretty cool.
"Yes. If it is proven that I was at school around 11:45 PM on the 7th, my alibi will be established."
"But you're in a single room. If you slept alone in the room, it wouldn't be an alibi."
Kuro turned his eyes to Neko. Neko also wears kimono. Although she was wearing it, she didn't seem to know how to wear the kimono, so he could see the white skin with the front wide open.
Neither the boy nor Kuro did not change their complexion because they got used to seeing Neko naked. Perhaps he couldn't see Neko playing with the obi in her hand, and when she approached him, he wrapped the obi around Neko's body with one hand as if he was gathering an old newspaper.
"I'm telling you! I don't accept this testimony as an alibi!"
"Kurosuke, you are stupid! Shiro has been with me since I met him! Wagahai's Shiro is a good Shiro!"
"Shut up. You're saying you don't trust me. If I find out you were responsible for this, don't worry. I'll be prepared."
The boy opened his mouth sweetly, looking at Kuro and Neko as if they were really like a dog and a cat.
"Well, it's my fault. That day was the day that preparations for the cultural festival were allowed at night, and as I recalled earlier, it was a day where there were many incidents."
"Incidents?"
The boy trusted the mysterious Kuro.
"So there must be someone who can prove that I was there too."
The boy used a bird hat to finish. A beard is also attached to the mouth.
"Hmm! How many times do you change your clothes while chatting!"
Feeling free to open the curtains on the simple wardrobe, Kukuri stuck her face inside.
"Oh, it looks good! Shiro-kun, you are a valuable person to look good like Ebisu-sama even if you are not fat at all."
The boy, Kuro, and Neko were forced to try on the costumes they would wear to the main event of the school festival. On the night of the school festival, they will wear these costumes, carry a sword and pull a horse to parade to the shrine behind the school.
The Ashinaka school school festival has a mysterious flavor, in part because it overlaps with the annual shrine festival.
Kukuri was in a good mood when she saw the three people wearing costumes, and while saying to Neko, "Wagahai-chan is a beautiful woman!" On the first day, Neko who hated wearing those clothes and had trouble with the boy's hands, was also happy to be told that she was a beautiful woman.
Well, the boy changed his expression.
He has been living at school almost normally for the past half day, but his life is involved. He has to ask someone to testify that he was at this school that day.
The boy saw Kukuri. The girl who started the confusion that night.
Yes, it started with a runaway boy who fell in love with her.
--- Testimony of the classmate, Sota Mishina.
Oh sure, it was around 11:45 PM on December 7th. There is no doubt that the preparations for the night of the school festival had just finished.
He climbed the stairs of the clock tower with the determination of a generation.
In progress…
