Update: I've played a fair bit of the pokemon card game video game for game boy color game, and I've found that Hitmonchan is the best pokemon.

It's attacks are stronger and cheaper than most evolved pokemon, and it's a fucking basic. 90% of pokemon are just straight downgrades of Hitmonchan. This game sucks.

When the Haitian Revolution erupted [...], slaveholding regimes around the world grew alarmed. In response to a series of slave rebellions in its own sugar colonies, especially in Jamaica, the British Empire formally abolished slavery in the 1830s. To control the desperate and the jobless, the authorities passed harsh new laws, a legislative program designed to quell disorder and ensure a pliant workforce for the factories. The Riot Act banned public disorder; the Combination Act made trade unions illegal; the Workhouse Act forced the poor to work; the Vagrancy Act turned joblessness into a crime. Eventually, over 220 offences could attract capital punishment - or, indeed, transportation. […] [C]onvict transportation - a system in which prisoners toiled without pay under military discipline - replicated many of the worst cruelties of slavery. The project is located in Balvanera, a central neighbourhood of Buenos Aires that presents a heterogeneous built profile with a strong commercial presence and an identity characterised by cultural diversity. This pattern is further consolidated when understanding its direct link with the building of the Argentine National Congress, with the large number of hotels distributed throughout the area or with the Miserere Square, that acts as a hub for trains, buses and subways. Balvanera could be interpreted as a neighbourhood of national identity.
Architecture as identity. The assignment originates from the clients' need to have administrative offices in new building that determines their identity as an institution. These offices had to be complemented by apartments to be used by people travelling from the provinces of Argentina to Buenos Aires for a certain period of time. Among the clients' initial demands was the use of a glass façade as an image towards the city, which for us was an essential part of the initial program.
The potential of mixed uses. The initial idea was to locate work and domesticity in the same block. This option was rapidly discarded after the first tests when the incompatibility of the circulation dynamics was verified. Taking advantage of the long proportion of the site (7.60 x 47.60 m) it was then decided to divide the uses into two independent blocks: the office one in the front, more exposed to the street and the domestic one in the back, more reserved in the centre of the block. In this way, a daily relationship is generated between all the people who inhabit the building while providing privacy in each of the parts.
Adapt to the given conditions. Both blocks adjust their buildable profile to the limits determined by the internal front line. This imaginary line is determined by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires to delimit a non-buildable area in the centre of the block. Instead of looking for alternatives to deal with this restriction, the project adapts to the resulting silhouette. In this way, two individual blocks are proposed to take advantage of all the possible footprint and are developed with the necessary height to deal with the proposal.
The void as a meeting place. Both building blocks are connected through a central void that works as a meeting point. This void is projected through a garden of organic shapes, white stones and growing vegetation that aims to generate meeting places for the people who work and inhabit the building.
Versatile and timeless from the beginning. The office block is planned on four levels with open spaces that allow to deal with the constant changes in today's work dynamics. Each level has outdoor spaces materialised by balconies on the lower floors and a terrace on the upper floor. The domestic block is also planned on four levels but made up of two stacked duplex apartments. Each one of them operates as an individual unit designed with the minimum elements necessary to be temporarily inhabited.
How to be efficient in the Argentine context. In an economic context as complex and variable as the Argentine one, it is necessary to be rational and efficient in the materialisation of architecture. In that sense, the construction of the building is proposed in a synthetic and traditional way through the implementation of few elements, but optimising their use. To do this, we proposed a reinforced concrete skeleton and lightweight masonry walls, textured white anodised aluminium frames in the windows and airtight double glazing for greater thermal efficiency. In this way, we make it easier to deal with suppliers while achieving efficiency and durability in the use of the elements.
A new way of perceiving the environment. Faced with a complex and heterogeneous urban context, the project is created from synthesis as contrast. Pure lines, geometric composition and white elements characterise a building that aims to communicate order and timelessness.

Optimize, Optimize, Optimize - I Am Your Beast
I Am Your Beast is an FPS game developed by indie studio Strange Scaffold and released on September 10th, 2024. The premise of I Am Your Beast centers around the player character - Alphonse Harding - fighting a guerilla war against your previous employers as they try and pull you back in for one last job. Here's a link to the game for anyone interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1876590/I_Am_Your_Beast/ The core gameplay involves completing a mission's given objective as fast & efficiently as possible, with additional bonus objectives that are only unlocked upon clearing the previous objective. Main objectives vary from interacting with objects around the map to killing all enemies, always ending with an escape hatch. The bonus objectives tend to be more specialized, placing restrictions on what methods you're allowed to use to kill enemies (such as requiring the player to only kill with headshots, for example). At first glance, the gameplay seems pretty standard. However, there is one mechanic that turns I Am Your Beast into an addictive test of mechanical understanding and planning: The timer. The timer is what determines the rank you receive after completing a mission, and it can be quite unforgiving at times. Here's the thing though; killing enemies gives you a time bonus, shaving seconds off your final time. The method you use matters as well. Killing an enemy without doing anything special only rewards 0.3 seconds, while explosive kills reward an entire second. This variance in reward encourages the player to experiment with their routing and forces them into a cycle of risk-reward decisions based on the potential time they could save by changing the methods they use to slaughter enemies. Of course, there are a variety of weapons available to capitalize on this. While there aren't any that stand out compared to typical offerings (apart from a tree branch), the way they play into eachother makes them feel incredible. All weapons have durability, either in the form of limited ammunition (you cannot reload guns), or a literal durability in the case of melee weapons. Though, nothing is stopping you from commendeering any weapons that happen to be lying around. Throwing a weapon at an enemy will knock them down - or outright kill them, in the case of the knife - and send the weapon they were holding flying to you. You can also knock enemies down by kicking them, should you find yourself in the rare situation of not having a weapon. With this, a new layer is added to the player's routing decisions: What gun is going to be the most efficient at netting time bonuses? How do I ensure that I get that gun when I need it? When can I afford to swap weapons? All of these things, combined with relatively non-linear levels and lively chatter from your opposition, result in a game that encourages in-depth routing which culminates in a spectacle straight out of a John Wick film. Here's some footage I recorded of one such run to demonstrate.
In my personal opinion, this game does everything right. It introduces mechanics at a steady rate, iterates on them regularly, and keeps the player on their toes the whole way through - even throughout the bonus levels. There are additional updates planned as well that will add things such as the ability to disable the timer outright for a more relaxed experience, as well as more levels. I cannot recommend this game enough, especially with it's relatively low price tag of $20. P.S. - I Am Your Beast has an excellent story as well. Wanted to add it at the end as - although it isn't related to the game's design - it is still very noteworthy.

Funnily enough, the demon thing might actually be the most workable part of his entire kit. Because his Blood Art is so hilariously broken, "Peak" and "Auxiliary" is about as close as you are going to get to that nonsense. Obliviously, you'd need to change it from making demons, but the concept of giving blood for power up works fine.
I see it working as a Transformation type Quirk that allows the user to turn their finger tips into small needles. The user may expel their blood in a vibrant red ichor onto another person. This process then enhances the target's physical abilities, improving their strength, speed, durability, and recovery speed. This is dependent on how much blood was given and how it was transferred, with contact, drinking, and transfusion being the least to most efficient with the blood as fuel. The user can track others with their blood, always aware of where they are, and pick up on what the target is sensing. The user can choose to activate or deactivate aspects of this effect. This gives the user a good mix of support options for bolstering their forces during and after a conflict and keeping track of whatever they are doing. If nothing else, it can work as a spying tool, splashing on foes to see where they go. Though the user themselves do not benefit from their blood's abilities, it requires other people around to properly utilize it and time to set it up. This is based on the user's blood as well, potentially limiting how many they can target, as blood removed in this fashion will take extreme time to rejuvenate. The blood can run out for the targets as well. A possible name for the Quirk could be "Blood Drive".

Stand Appearence: The Great Pretender (TGP for short) resembles Vee’s original Basilisk appearence, only slightly shorter and with metallic features over its body: a metal muzzle on its face, metallic clawed gloves and shackles around the waist and arms. The entire body is covered in scars and bruises, and the yellow eyeballs have multiple concentric circles (think about the Rinnegan from Naruto).

Stand Abilities:
Energy Absorption: The Great Pretender’s main ability is to absorb the life force of living organisms. The Stand does so by opening the metallic muzzle to reveal its reptilian mouth: it opens it and starts sapping away the life energy to recharge its own by generating a visible vortex of blue light. This ability is vital for the Stand’s empowering process, as every time the Stand engages in combat, its offensive capabilities are very low, probably around averege human strenght. Because TGP absorbs the opponent’s life force, this also causes their Stand to get weaker as well, as Stands and their users are usually connected, making TGP ideal for support. The ability however has several limitations. For starters, the life absorption process is very slow as it can take full minutes for TGP to fully drain the target’s life energy. Also the ability requires the user to stay still and focus, so faster and quicker targets may be difficult to absorb life energy from.  Also, if hit, TGP may even lose the life energy it absorbed; said energy will be dispersed and impossible to recollect. Also, the efficiency of the said ability depends on the combative will of the user, and considering Vee’s pacifism, this may cause an hindrance in TGP’s main ability, Finally, against Automatic Stands, this will only weaken the Stand alone, not the user.
Variable Strenght Augmentation: As previously mentioned, the ability to absorb living organisms’ life energy is vital for TGP’s empowering process. At its base, the Stand itself isn’t that strong, probably having the same strenght of an averege grown up human. Despite the fact of having metallic clawed gloves, they don’t actually cause much damage on normal circumstances, as even when used against a powerless human being, the effectiveness is not very dissimilar from the scratches caused by a house cat. When enough energy is absorbed, TGP’s strenght increases accordingly to the amount and also the “quality” of life energy acquired. In fact, when life energy is taken from say, random wild animals, TGP’s strenght will not increase that much. However, when life energy from a Stand is taken, then the empowering effect is substantially larger. One time for example, Vee ordered TGP to absorb the life energy of an Emperor’s Coven guard who happened to have a Stand – granted, it was a very weak Stand - and TGP became strong enough to break the chains, thus helping her prinson mates to escape.

Despite not giving either Vee or TGP any additional combat benefits, the ability can still be used effectively as a way of distraction or deceiving, like taking over another person’s appearence to lure the adversary into a trap, and so on. The shape-shifting’s limitation is that its effectiveness lasts so long as Vee focuses on the transformation and has enough absorbed life energy in reserves. Also, Vee cannot command TGP to absorb further energy when she shape-shifts, so Vee needs to abandon her disguise to use TGP’s main ability.
