So the cottage is a good hour walk from the town. It's tucked between the woods and a cliff so Lexa can easily walk around without a disguise.

When they go to town, Lexa tends to be in her disguise and bring Wren along, and the townspeople just assume its her granddaughter. Luckily, Wren is still little enough that if she calls Lexa mommy by accident, everyone will just assume she sees her grandmother as her mom.
