So the past.... Month. Has been very eventful. Coping with a rough break up, work being hard. I'm almost 21 I kinda figured it'd be rough being in my 20s. I really was expecting it to be the end of the world, but then I made a really good choice.

I joined a few discord servers over this month, and I can't begin to explain just how wonderful that's been for my mental health.

I've made so many new beautiful friends who just mean the world to me, and those new friends along with old friends and my beautiful angel wife who's stuck with me while we both heal, it's just nice.

I wanna say a few words [or a lot words. I'm a yapper] and I jus wanna really detail my appreciation for the following people.

@your-pal-smoochins, my perfect angel wife. You and I have had a lot of things against us. You've been such an amazing support system through these past couple years and I don't tell you enough just how much I love and appreciate everything you do for me. You lift me up when I really need it and I've never felt more loved than when you've been by my side. Thanks for being my rock, my sun moon and stars, and just thank you for being mine. You do so much more than you give yourself credit for, having escaped the situation you were in and going to college. You're so strong, and you're my beautiful angel forever.

Alright, now for lore drop for her ig!

Burger was a 16-17 year old attending Black Sheep high school, (think thats the high schools canon name-) one day she was found dead, she then went to heaven, not to long after became a fallen angel and was sent down to hell (idk if fallen angels exist- i need to ask Erica but i know shes busy but i really wanna ask in her message box in her blog 😭.) Then you know got a job to haunt people to get people down there so when hell is fully renovated it can go as one would expect.

Very basic very simple, but thats not really detailed, heres ghe detailed version bellow here instead of the basic structure: (Warning mentions of abuse, violent acts, and underage drinking)

Burger grew up in a not so stable household to say, parents were restricting, abusive, unfair, all the bad lables for crappy parents who basically to say failed at their job as a parent. So she mainly grew alone in her room learning guitar (base), and how to cook for herself and bake. She joined a band thats known around school for being cheap and decent. She also had a crush on a former band mate named Hidey. Since their band is known they have some form of social reputation around there, say in the middle of the social status of the school reputation system. One faithful day they got a commission to play at Zacks GFs party (im gonna assume he has one since hes a jock) for a few hours, they accepted. When Burger got home that day she went to go head out but then had a argument with her dad and got her guitar smashed. She ran out the house mad asf and used a near by phone booth to call her friend to get a spare guitar for her, they get the guitar and hwad to the party. They perform a few songs, everyone's happy, they get offered to stay so thru do so they dont seem rude. As Burger partied, Zacks GF dragged her to her room to speak privately, they get in the room, have a few drinks of wine after raiding the liquor cabinet a while back in the party, Zacks GF started to act a little of and before burger could say anything abt it, she gets pinned down onto the bed and gets her head slashed off. Turns out, Zacks GF had red punch looking similar to wine while she had wine,and also turns out Zacks GF hated her guts for one reason. A middle school crush on Zack. The most stupidest reason to have a grudge or kill someone over. So then she got to heaven and got a job as a guardian angel, sucked at that not even showing up to her job and instead did sinful like acts in heaven without knowing and got sent to hell becoming a fallen angel and getting a job to haunt a girl named Maria (which my friends OC) and drive her to suicide.

SO MUCH WORD OMG! But thats the detailish version of it! Maria is my friends OC like i said, she told me i could put her in so yeah. Also they dont have the best bond, simialr to socks and jons but instead of one being a joyful teasing demon, burger is a sarcastic ass, and Maria is a depressed teenager that annoyed by her demon. So basically Jonathan and Jonathan. They have some sentimental moments (AND GAY ASS MOMENTS) where they get a little connection to each other. Burgers has 2 canon connections to 2 canon characters, one with jon which is just rivals and same with sock. She basically hates their guts and constantly tries to persuaded Maria to mess with jon but failes horribly. Essentially shes a mix of Jon, Jojo, and sock in th slightest ways with the simialr characteristics/traits and the general way of acting.

No I cannot tell u abt Hattie.. he evades my mind every time I try to think anout her .....

Ok but seriously every time I try to write abt Hattie I end up either drastically changing their character or deleting any drafts I have of them bc they always end up feeling dry/boring (perhaps expodumping before every Hattie draft was not a good idea.) I wanna say it's been a year(?) since I've even attempted to talk abt her at length. So! I'll talk about her now ig. Let's hope I can keep his character somewhat consistent once I post this🫡

Hattie is, essentially, a god/goddess. This does not mean he is immortal (yet.) I can't into the lore too much much yet ok? ok.

I always feel like I'm horrible at describing personality but I think she comes off as arrogant + aloof + snobbish? As in he WILL talk very strangely and if you can't understand her perfectly then you're not worth it's time. The key to getting anywhere close to him is just to be persistently annoying lmao. Once you do get past that first barrier you realize he's just horrible at talking to other people. Loves showing off his accomplishments (aka wants praise RLY badly.) Becomes pretty clingy when she does eventually get attached to someone. I'd say she's hardworking but he's literally working towards nothing. So.

Appearance is kinda subject to change at any moment cuz im still deciding what would work best. But I'll tell u what I got for now. She tends to use a human-like form but with six arms instead of 2 (kind of like the humble s.pider..) Haven't quitee decided what his face would look like but maybe something in the uncanny valley? Like technically she looks fine but something about her is very very off .. (would probably be a constant smile that just doesnt look. right. ykwim?) Alternatively she could just have a bunch of eyes. Or he could switch between the two...?

Anyways. Exclusively wears the TACKIEST suits known to mankind. You will catch this guy dead before he ever willingly wears a plain t-shirt. Also has a tiny top hat hovering above her head at all times. By tiny I mean it's maybe the size of a fist.

The tiny hat is what Hattie names herself after! (He's not the best at naming things, including himself lol)

he built an entire city by himself! And by built I mean she designed it all and then it just kinda magically came to life (said city is in like. ohh how do I explain this. I guess you could call it a separate dimension from The Universe? It's just like. rly rly far away ig ... if u want me to go more in-depth into the worldbuilding I will. I need 2 be writing it down anyways lmao)

Anyways. Lives in the top floor of a BIGGGGG tower in the center of city-from-last-bullet-point-that-I-haven't-named-yet. Almost never comes out of the tower he loves it soooo much ..

OH AND BEFORE I FORGET. any pronouns and aroace! Figures that I projected my gender and sexuality on one of my oldest ocs (though I do tend to lean towards she/he/they/it cuz thats what the other characters use for her. and its mainly what I use for myself but we're going to ignore that lol)

LOVESSSS paperwork. Would spend the rest of their life pouring over paperwork but unfortunately it has these things called "friends that care about his wellbeing" or whatever...

For his motivations.. he'll tell u that he wants to become immortal (part of what previously mentioned Paperwork is about) but want he rly wants is a family. Said family could be literally anyone who he thinks even slightly cares abt her shes Very desperate at this point. (She doesn't consider her current two friends to be family since she thinks one of them hates him Rly Rly Bad. And the other one is just hard to get in touch with. So Hattie also thinks he doesn't enjoy being around her.)

Has MANYY hobbies .. even Hattie sometimes gets bored of paperwork. Ranges from archery (quit early bc she hated being out of her suits) to bartending (CRAZY good at bartending. Quite proud of it too) to lockpicking (Learned it partly bc they thought it would be a useful skill. Turns out she doesn't really have a reason to break into anything) Some of his favorite hobbies are learning different languages (makes him feel smarter + enjoys the challenge of it) and making dioramas! (first hobby he ever picked up besides making an entire city.[but she considers that more as a job] still has a soft spot for dioramas.)

Has perfect memory. Literally! Unable to forget anything he's ever seen/heard/etc. Has a hard time being alone w their own thoughts bc of this.

Speaking of sleep, Hattie feels things like hunger, thirst, and tiredness, things that a god normally wouldn't be able to feel. And she has absolutely no idea why!

(Uh oh! Turns out never being able to forget anything has it's downsides!)

Backstory is essentially mommy issues x2. What if all you ever wanted was to be loved but the people who were supposed to do that either died or left w/o any explanation. smh.

AND ALSO THANK YOU ABT THE EYES. faces and facial features are something i do my best to make distinct and avoid same face syndrome.. there are aspects of it i still struggle with but i think ive gotten better! i think its mainly that my style is pretty simple so it can be hard to make certain things different without seeming out of place, but i try different stuff.... most recently w the eyes (eyelids specifically) i got a lot of help and input from my awesome good friend on different things to do to depict different shapes and types of eyelids which, which was honestly such a nice thing to do (and the friend in question will probably see this so hiiii <3)

but i also like to have fun with the eyeball lol. like drawing cool+weird shapes inside of the iris and stuff. and using two totally different colors for the iris and the "light reflection" inside it is really fun to me. i think it makes the character seem different... since i have a lot of little guys so i do my best to make them each stand out even if theyre just background characters. figuring out how to design all of them is FUN its just really cool to me and i like it a lot. and i think it helps me improve the more i do it too!

i simply think ocs are a lot of fun for a lot of different reasons, and i know i can get SOOO rambly abt stuff like this so ill stop myself here BUT before that i wanna say thank you again <3 stuff like this really motivates me to keep going with them! bc it means so much that there are ppl out there who notice them and care 🥹 thanks you <3

i finally got my student loans figured out (aside from this stupid ass $55 late fee apparently put on my account after they already started the transfer of the remaining loans to my bank…???????? idfk, i’m stressed abt that LOL but at least it’s not Thousands in the hole like it was before, it’s just $55 i need to pay…. PLS GIMMIE MY LOAN REFUND SO I CAN PAY THAT RLY QUICK AND BE DONE WITH THIS ALL FOR THE SEMESTER, EDUCATION GODS!!!) and i’m all enrolled!! AND !!! i have a professor from a couple years ago that was SO understanding and helpful when i was failing outta his and another professor’s class (bc my mom’s cancer was rly kicking in and i was her full time caregiver and doing Everything around the house) and im taking his class again!! im rly surprised bc i was Definitely in bad financial standing in 2022 when i failed out, but for some reason i can still get my financial aid and they couldn’t find any record of me being in bad financial standing??? and im just like, OKAY COOL WHATEVER!! so !!! anyways, i saw some video abt some girly vaping for 7 years and getting some mf holes in her lungs and that scares me as someone with mf asthma already LOL so i rly do wanna/need to quit vaping, but idk i feel like i might stick to it for this semester LMAO then after this semester i’ll be Done and will Quit during my japanese language semester bc i wanna be FULLY FOCUSED.

i also wanna quit wax/dabs again, i went on a lil bender of smoking weed for like 2 1/2 weeks Straight and built my tolerance right back up so that’s annoying. i want to be Sober during my classes/the weekdays and save smoking for the weekends. i will say i am glad i have been keeping drinking to the weekends as well but mannnnn my roomie and i had a massive drinking and gaming sesh like a week and a half ago and im tryna not drink like that again LMAO, i drank a little a couple days ago for the weekend but def not as much as when we drank together a week and a half ago LOL.

aaaaaannnnnyways yea i’m stressed abt going back to college and ESPECIALLY for my japanese classes LOL i rly gotta like relearn EVERYTHING and hope for the best within…. 4 months? it shouldn’t be TOOOOOOO bad, it’s mainly just the semester of japanese that i fucked up in 2022 that i gotta rly practice. just the whole of the genki 2 book i rly should commit myself to learn tbh. yea that’s prolly a good goal LOL. get them *words and kanji specifically* memorized; listening and speaking is easier for me i guess, it’s lit just remembering how to write and what is what when writing that is hard!!! 😭😭😭 ugh!!!! if anyone has any reccs for apps or books to help practice 2nd year japanese for university pls lmk, i got some apps (screenshots below) and like i said, the genki books, that i use rn!!

so when kunikida treated the two of you, he made sure you got more bowls bc like i mentioned above, he feels really bad that you were malnourished and under weight

i screened my thesis project again today along with my classmates, and honestly it went way better than yesterday, so my state of being has gone from “death” to “i think i’m a neurotypical now!!” even though i have a group assignment worth 30% due tomorrow and we more or less just started lol (i got it under control though, its just a fake grant application for a hypothetical arts project). Yesterday, and today morning, I was really worried about “grainy” images--they were not very grainy at all, but they aren’t the most pleasing visuals either.  i can’t really help with it beside making images too soft on edges or with a editing software plug in, so whatever, the images look better when they are projected anyways. 

More people showed up, no one walked out--and a prof who apparently walked out on many other classmates’ presentations stayed for mine and said he liked mine. Couple of more people complimented my project. Oh boy I kinda wish he’s grading my project now, because the profs grading my project were not fans lmao! (Francis--one of the profs grading my project--said the video essay was “very good” but im pretty sure she doesnt like the film itself, which is understandable considering that i basically shot it myself and had some help from a friend). I actually have such complicated feelings about this prof that liked my film (hes called scott). Like, first of all, i think i have a good shot at getting an A in his European films course right now, and he actually LECTURED in this course while he didn’t really do that for any other courses he taught in lol (i got ok grades in his two other courses but not an A yet). On one hand, Scott is just a very typical fine art department prof for not giving a heck in terms of lecturing, but on the other hand, hes super cultured and actually pretty laid back. His lecture in the European cinema class is so rich in content that I think if i recorded his one hour lecture and edited it, it’d be a very solid film editorial. He’s a cool leftist dude, he just doesnt give a heck sometimes. Anyways, my little short film is based on Wong Kar Wai’s aesthetic, and in Scott’s comment, he said that he could see how wong kar wai and Godard (a French new wave pioneer) influenced my short film, and considering that he didnt seem to stay for any other people’s project, I’m pretty sure that the fact that my film reminded him of one of the new wave filmmaker is THE reason he stayed for mine. Ofc he’s the only one who could truly appreciate it. Obviously, weird/unconventional story structure basing off obscure aesthetic influence just doesn’t go well with 0 dollar budget and mediocre film equipment and no professional help! But most importantly! No professional help! This would have worked out if the profs kept in mind the limitation we have and the limitation they have while they graded us!!! Godard also shot with basically no budget as well, but again he was a PIONEER--that’s why his films are any value in this time and day. 

Our class is meeting the thesis course’s profs again on this Wednesday, because we need to discuss our final project submission. i really want my profs to give me feedback on the changes they want, cause i need to give my shot at getting a decent grade in this 6 units course (a full year course done in one term, actually). I already got into grad school, and i dont think anything above B- would ruin my GPA--tbh I’m expecting a B or B+, and i’d throw a goddamn party if i manage to get a A- with the grade i got from mid term presentation (i participated a lot and attended all the classes and got a A- on my proposal, its just that one shit ass grade on mid term). It’s not fucking fair though, I could have a shot at A-, but they didnt properly explain what they wanted from me--or anyone tbh--on the mid term presentation and gave me shit grade for their own incompetence lol! I’m not the only ones who dislike them--most of the class don’t. I could have gotten an ok grade for my mid term if i knew what they wanted! It’s not like I’m not capable of providing the information at the time! Like I said before, they failed people (not me, thank shit) on the mid term based on arbitrary terms. They also got into trouble later because five people out of 26 ppl in the class have gone to our department head and complained lol! And i know the class in general didnt do great on the 25% mid term presentation. So for our final 35% of the mark? They better grade us according to the resources we are given! which is none!!!  They were seriously no help whatsoever, and I will shit on them till I fucking die lol. I don’t shit on profs or teachers often, but how they structured and dealt with the class was beyond unacceptable. i didn’t really talk to one of them, but today at the dinner, she said it to my face--”well we told you, you can’t shoot a film on your own”. WELL SHIT BITCH! YOU DIDN’T GIVE ME ANY SUGGESTION ON WHAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE INSTEAD WHEN KNOW I DONT REALLY HAVE HELP, AND YOU ARE FUCKING PAID TO DO THAT!! SO!! The only positive thing that came out of this experience is that i figured out that i dont wanna have anything to do with shooting on set or directing after this project, because coordinating people and putting together a crew are NOT my strongest suit and I accept that a little too late. If I wasn’t so obsess with wong kar wai, i might have see reason early on...but oh well, i did this, and at least im not doing something like that ever again. To be honest, im in film because im most passionated about story construction anyways, so after my M.A, hopefully I can have a strong enough profolio to apply for screenwriting program. I think i should really write a featured screenplay over the summer, they are easier to churn out and i gotta do it for my career lol. The longest consistent thing i’ve written is a 20 pages short story, but i also wrote that in only two nights. I just gotta sit down and do the stuff, cause i either don’t write at all or i write a lot super fast--mainly to meet a deadline.  But dude i dont wanna figure this important info out regarding my career path on the expense of my grade lol!! i know that we university students are supposed to figure a lot of things out on our own blah blah blah, but that doesnt mean we are paying profs $300 per course for them to sit around and giving us shit grades for nothing!!! Fucking film profs i s2g, they are either no help whatsoever and snobby af, or doesnt give heck and no help whatsoever. I was nothing but polite and civil and sweet when talking to my thesis course profs, but believe me, when i was thinking abt the way they behaved, im in such mood to go off.
