full name. enishi chiyo; typically styled in reverse in the west. nicknames / aliases. goes by "chiyo kanshi" to distance herself from her family and few know her family name; playfully referred to as "chichi", though not by her preference. known as "the bard of light". referred to as "mistress kanshi", formally, due to unmarried nature. height. 4'11". age. verse dependent. is 23 in a realm reborn, though due to louisoix time fuckery, should actually be 28. zodiac. sagittarius. spoken languages. verse dependent. doman/hingan is her first language, common her second. due to the echo, can understand most languages, but even without it, is intelligent enough to learn new ones. in her modern verse, a polyglot with an ear for language, which is how she furthered her world-traveling career.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

hair colour. very blonde. eye colour. bright green. skin tone. darker skinned than most westerners due to doman heritage, but middlingly so when in the east. body type. short and rubenesque due to muscles. dominant hand. right. posture. holds a lot of tension in her body, generally, and usually keeps arms crossed subconsciously. was brought up to have good posture and keeps her shoulders back and back straight as a result. scars. post-stormblood, a scar across her chest where zenos cut her down; various other smalls scars from combat and various scuffles. tattoos. a kanji tattoo down her spine. birthmarks. n/a. most noticeable features. her blonde scales which match her hair; her prominent horns; her large, thick tail; bright, green eyes; generally very beautiful as well as curt and forward, and receives much unwanted attention as a result of it.

CHILDHOOD

place of birth. monzen, doma. siblings. enishi yoichi (alive, younger brother). her mother miscarried chiyo's other siblings due to her husband's older age. considers the fortemps sons to be brothers, of a sort, or at least treats them like brothers and is very protective of them. parents.

enishi suzume. alive; strongly resembles chiyo, but with long, well-cared for black hair. a very serious and no-nonsense shinobi spy who served the garleans in order to protect her family. was chosen by koichi in her twenties for marriage. though she was never necessarily happy in their marriage, suzume believes that happiness and marriage are incompatible--and that marriage to a powerful man is the best way for a woman to protect herself in doma, something she pressed upon her daughter. and as a result, chiyo ran away from home. her daughter going on to become a famed warrior was not something suzume anticipated nor wanted, and chiyo and suzume are at odds because of it. despite her lectures and cold nature, suzume does love chiyo deeply, and is secretly relieved that chiyo went on to become such a beloved success in eorzea. in certain verses, she's also very relieved that, by endwalker, chiyo's settled down to marry and have children.

enishi koichi. deceased, passed away of a heart attack shortly after chiyo ran away from home, due to the stress of worrying about her. koichi was a renowned samurai known for his good humor and his notable blonde hair, and who was exempt from garlean service due to his old age and poor health. chiyo was always the star of his world and suzume often accused him of "spoiling" their daughter. though he treated chiyo kindly, he had very high, unfair expectations for suzume and thus the two women have very different views on who he was. chiyo's younger brother was too young to form much of an opinion.

ADULT LIFE

occupation. verse dependent. in main verse, starts out as a paid assassin and becomes a scion of the seventh dawn and the bard of light; in her companion verse, goes on to become lady of doma. other verses include a bd star and actress (cyberpunk 2077), a diplomat/legal consultant (modern), an assassin (baldur's gate 3), and a legatus (baelsar au). chiyo likes to choose jobs that are physically active or exciting, as per her adventurer nature. current residence(s). has an apartment in ul'dah in ARR; after ARR, moves into the rising stones with the scions. technically has a room set aside for her with house fortemps. after endwalker, buys a massive house in thavnair and moves into it with her loved ones. close friends. in her main verse, her closest friend is j'tanga khilim (@windcovet) though chiyo would describe it more as a babysitting job. is also close with krile, tataru, nanamo, and yugiri. due to her friendly nature post-heavensward, most who know her (including other wols in shared wol verses) know her serious nature is a front, and consider her a friend in spite of it. relationship status. verse dependent. post-heavensward in main verse, various "situationships" with others. due to the open nature of her relationship with thancred, is willing to have one night stands and engage in flirtation as well as bring home "strays", so to speak. by endwalker, ends up married, in a polycule, with a surprise baby. whoops. in her companion verse, marries hien (for politics and for love) and the two have twins that factor into the endwalker plot. driver’s license. n/a. criminal record. attempted assassin of the sultana (cleared); should technically be under investigation for various deaths of men in ul'dah, but due to her close relationship with nanamo, nothing has ever come of that. vices. refusal to ask for help; chooses to solve problems with violence; very dark humor; flirtation and general promiscuity with various people (post-heavensward).

SEX & ROMANCE

sexual orientation. bi/pan. prefers men for one night stands but finds forming relationships (platonic or no) with women easier. preferred sexual role. very submissive, though it has to be earned by someone she trusts. prefers to be penetrated but will top every now and again, especially with a long term partner. libido. non-existent due to trauma during ARR; rising during heavensward and much higher afterwards. turn-ons. blondes and light hair, though it's not a requirement; competency, particularly in battle; due to traumatic history as well as the nature of sex in doma (that being between two married people and purely for children), chiyo loves to "break the rules of tradition", and have kinky, casual sex. also loves sex that can border on violent, ie hair pulling and urgency, though again, it has to be someone she trusts. chiyo may be a spoony bard, but she does need to trust that the person she's with won't hurt her or bring up her history, even if it's a one night stand. all of this applies to post heavensward chiyo who has had thancred teach her the "rules" of sex, including consent and kink; ARR chiyo is withdrawn and borderline asexual due to fear. turn-offs. drunkenness; a lack of dignity; maliciousness towards others, especially the helpless. love language. just like her mother, will fuss to show her worry, ie lecturing, picking at your appearance, seemingly random fits of temper, etc. though she can be a gift-giver now and then, is more prone to acts of service--ie, throwing herself in front of the metaphorical train to protect you and never bringing it up again. can be very protective and defensive, perhaps too much so, if she believes the one she loves is being slighted or is in danger. has also been known to write poetry or songs about those she loves, though whether she'll tell you it's about you is uncertain. relationship tendencies. see above.

MISCELLANEOUS

hobbies to pass time. a musical enthusiast who keeps a harp on her at all times to write music; an artist who loves to depict portraits of those she knows (like haurchefant and nanamo); very physically active, loves combat and learning new classes and ways to fight. mental illnesses. chronic depression that can be triggered by loss, as well as untreated PTSD due to her sexual assault and various deaths that she's suffered. self-confidence level. even during her lowest moments, chiyo is very self-confident, though there's an undercurrent of self-blame and doubt always ready to drag her back into depression given the chance. knows that she's beautiful and capable, but rather, believes she has an air of "bad luck" that destroys everything (and everyone) she touches, which is brought up in dark knight quest. "woe to those who join the warrior of light, and those who don't" quote, etc. by endwalker, chiyo has recognized this "bad luck" has nothing to do with her--it's just the way life is, and all you can do is fight to protect the ones you love, which she never plans to stop doing.

I don't think i remember or saw your Anti / corrupted Verse for Yugi, could you tell me about it a little? Would you ever bring it back?

//Okay! So buckle up, I have three or four that I have done at random times. I don't know for sure if I would bring it back as a permanent thing, but I'm open to it if people are interested outside of a closed thread. Any verse I have threads in is welcome to receive random asks and interactions (within reason, of course!) It's under a Read More because it got long.

The first one was a corruption verse where Yuugi's decision to play the Orichalcos in the duel against Atem planted a seed of corruption. I know a lot of people like to interpret him as a pure soul, but it's shown very early on that he has his own darkness just like everyone. He just heavily gravitates towards kindness and is generally only wishing harm on others if provoked. This seed of Orichalcos magic lay mostly dormant in his soul until post canon, where Yuugi has more of a tendency to bottle up his emotions. The magic actively caused pain the more he tried to resist it and @atlantis-prince offered his hand to join him. If Yuugi did the pain would stop. So he ended up corrupted and working for Dartz and of course he was sent after Atem and pretty much anyone. Some part of him deep down was aware of what was happening but he was numb to it until it was too late. The other Orichalcos verse was actually a role-reversal AU for the doma arc where a partner who wrote Atem discussed with me in DMs how we would have rewritten the season to better match the narrative of the entire series. We realized that if it had been Yuugi that played the card in that duel instead of Atem and was corrupted, and if it was Atem's soul who was taken instead, it would have actually given Yuugi a very interesting character arc where he gets to address his unresolved darkness, anxieties about Atem leaving, etc. It probably would have even influenced his decisions in the end and maybe tried to find a way for Atem to stay instead of participating in the Ceremonial Duel. In this one, the corruption is temporary, since it dissipates after the duel is over and he's left with the horror of what he's done. One twist too, is that without Atem in the puzzle to keep it under control, the dark magic and vengeful spirits trapped in the Puzzle constantly scream in his head and threaten to corrupt him again. He's haunted by constant nightmares and guilt beyond his friends' understanding. It's not just Atem's absence that's hurting him. In fact, when he was in the duel, he was under the influence of both and extremely unhinged as a result, as the Seal pushed Atem out just like it did to Yuugi in the anime. Overall, we had some very big plans and it was going so well! Yuugi would have had the support of the duel spirits (like Mahad) trying to help him through it, and we were planning to include Bakura since we felt it was a shame he was left out and it would have added some interest (he was even going to be the main person helping Yuugi in this situation if you can believe it). I did a short thread once where a piece of Zorc temporarily possessed Yuugi and that was fun to play around with. It was an exploration of what he would do in that situation, and the demon was forced out. Then there was a thread where he was sent a mysterious artifact (seemingly from his father) that latched onto him and possessed him. It was a parasitic magical item that needed to be removed, and it was successfully removed. His father did not send that box and had a hand in getting the bracelet off of Yuugi. Both of these threads were in my Wishshipping verse with @luckyredeyes

One I have mainly been thinking of is maybe an anti-verse or event where Yuugi is corrupted by the shadows. He can either work with an existing villain or it could be a Bad End, or even just an alternate verse where he is not the hero. As said in a previous answer, it would be more like how season0 and the early manga went, but probably my own take. His personality would depend on if this is him being corrupted post-DSOD or if he was corrupted after solving the Puzzle in canon, making him canon-divergent. This one has not been tried yet.

This is a sideblog, and I follow back from my main @grimmusings. Please direct IMs there, since it's easier for me to keep all my messages on one blog. It's also easier to start interactions with me there, where I regularly post open starters and meme prompts. For a full list of rules, see my main. Honesty hour questions will largely be answered IC and treated as anonymous unless signed by a muse.

All details vary based on verse, but in general Laurie is a canon divergent interpretation that picks up after the events of Halloween II (1981). Unless specifically requested, I don't acknowledge the rest of the films for her, although I'm happy to plot an AU based on those. Her timeline has been updated so the events at Haddonfield happened only a few years ago, and Laurie travels the country doing research for her podcast, Final Girl. It started as part of her therapy, researching what happened to her so she'd have a better understanding of it, and then expanded into telling the story in her own words, before eventually branching out into seeking other survivors to tell their stories.

While it's largely a true crime podcast, it does occasionally dip into the supernatural. In Laurie's main verse (so far), there is no proof that those things exist, but after witnessing Michael's almost superhuman power, she couldn't help wondering if there might be something more to him. She's happy to interview people who do believe they've encountered something supernatural and to let them tell their stories, while she provides what facts can be verified and a safe, non-judgmental space for them. Ultimately, her listeners are encouraged to decide for themselves what's real or not.

DISCLAIMER.

This verse is incredibly malleable and assumed when interacting with canon Warriors of Light. ( meaning any WOLs that primarily follow the MSQ &&. make their characters an official Warrior of Light. ) By the end of Endwalker, she is twenty-nine. 

Though this doesn't detail everything Rilha does as a scion in the MSQ, it details the main events that happen. Her "story arc" so to say happens in Stormblood, when she returns to Kugane and confronts her family.

BEFORE A REALM REBORN.

Rilha’s story follows the same in the beginning, except it happens pre-A Realm Reborn. A year before the events of A Realm Reborn take place, Rilha is outcast from her home in Kugane, given only her mother’s staff, Tishtrya, to defend herself as she sets sail for Gridania. Being taken in by the Conjurer’s guild, she harnesses her skills as a white mage, and due to her talent she’s scouted out by Yda and Papalymo. Having nowhere else to go, she agrees to join the Scions of the Seventh Dawn as a healer.

Rilha grows to see Minfilia as a sister, becoming close with her as they work together. Minfilia is the first to empathize with Rilha’s situation, claiming that there shouldn’t be consequences for loving too much. Along with Papalymo and Yda, Rilha is stationed in the Black Shroud to stay close to the Conjurer’s guild.

A REALM REBORN.

After the Scions find the Warrior of Light, someone who possesses the echo like Minfilia, Rilha is eager to accept a new member into the efforts. She assists the best she can into helping the Warrior of Light defeat primals, acting as a healer on the sidelines for them. When Alphinaud suggests forming the Crystal Braves, Rilha is hesitant to the idea, and keeps an eye on him closely. During the dinner in which Nanamo ul Namo is assassinated, Rilha escapes Ul’dah with Alphinaud, Tataru and the Warrior of Light, seeking shelter in Ishgard.

HEAVENSWARD.

Upon entering Ishgard, Rilha takes the time to learn the ways of an astrologian. As the Warrior of Light goes to seek compromise with the dragons in the Dragonsong War, she enlists in the war efforts as a healer, staying behind the frontlines and acting as a medic to the injured. Rilha checks in with the Warrior of Light as frequently as she can, slowly learning the cause of the war. Learning of the plan to slay Nidhogg, Rilha is incredibly worried about her companion’s safety, but is only able to watch. Relieved when it’s over, she celebrates with the rest of Ishgard, before continuing the journey of finding their lost friends. After the Dragonsong War, she cut her hair to a shorter length.

STORMBLOOD.

As Yda is revealed to be Lyse, and the Scions embark to Ala Mhigo, Rilha aids in the war effort once more, acting as the primary healer during the attack on Rhalgr’s Reach. When it’s decided that they should journey to Othard and the Far East, Rilha is visibly nervous, but begs to journey alongside them. Though the thought of returning home scared her, she knows she must confront her past. Arriving home in Kugane, Rilha arrives to see her parents waiting for her at the tower alongside Hancock. As the Warrior of Light and the others follow Hancock, Rilha stays behind to finally face her parents and issue some overdue apologies.

Catching up with the others, Rilha appears anxious, but insists that she’s ready to confront Doma. However, the other Scions agree she should take some time for herself after hearing her story regarding her parents. Staying behind in the city with Alphinaud and Tataru, Rilha takes it as a break to reunite with her family and catch up with them briefly, before she departs Kugane. She meets up with the others in Yanxia, more prepared to aid in freeing Doma, and subsequently Ala Mhigo.

SHADOWBRINGERS.

Rilha is one of the first to fall victim to the mysterious illness that plagues the Scions, immediately after Thancred, but before Y’shtola and Urianger. Being brought to the Crystarium, Rilha is informed by the Exarch that she was not his intended summon, but explained the situation to her regardless. Hearing the story, she agrees to stay in the Crystarium and help the efforts in the city by being a medic. Her expertise brings her all across Norvrandt in the next few years she stays there, all whilst grappling with the crippling loneliness of missing her home. 

When the Warrior finally arrives to the First, Rilha is rumoured to be somewhere in Kholusia, leading the Warrior of Light to find her in Eulmore. Having originally been with Alphinaud investigating the city, Rilha had been given access to the city as a dancer, hoping to uncover what was going on. She warns the two that nothing is as it seems, and together they discover the truth to Eulmore, but flee before getting persecuted. Rilha follows the Warrior of Light through the rest of the expansion.

ENDWALKER.

As Zenos and Fandaniel threaten the final days, Rilha joins the Scions as they venture to Old Sharlayan. She follows the Warrior of Light through Thavnair and into Garlemald, where she reunites with her Heavensward attire due to the cold. Aiding in the attack on the Tower of Babil, Rilha is distraught as the Warrior is sent to the moon, but agrees to stay behind and let the others go up. 

When they receive a request for aid in Thavnair, Rilha attempts to help Radz-at-Han, but no amount of magic spells could heal the blasphemies. Instead, she takes on a sort of therapist role, attempting to calm the panic throughout the city. When the Scions devise that the Warrior of Light go to the First to commune with Elidibus, Rilha is hesitant to be separated once more. She stays behind in Thavnair, helping the efforts against the Final Days, trying to avoid worrying when time marches on without the Warrior returning.

After the Warrior returns, Rilha ventures down into the Aetherial Sea with the Scions, coming face to face with Hydaelyn. After they succeed in Hydaelyn’s trial proving their strength, the Scions work on the final preparations to journey to Ultima Thule. Once there, Rilha follows the Warrior of Light until the very end, before she sacrifices herself, trusting that the Warrior will succeed in saving the world. When resummoned, she begs the Warrior to not send her back to the ship, but ends up there anyways. Rilha does her best to aid the Warrior in their fight against Endsinger from the Ragnorak.

As the crisis is averted and the Scions part ways, Rilha helps in the restoration efforts around Etheirys, awaiting a call from the Warrior of Light for their next adventure.

main: post le domas ceremony. grace, the last surviving le domas, inherits mr. le bail's fortune and spends her time travelling, trying to find herself, and grow from the trauma she experienced. adapting to the luxurious lifestyle the inheritance had given her, she is wary of everyone she meets, and tends to stick to herself. she has houses in most major cities, though she is most commonly found in her town house in ny. she has gone through self-defense classes, gone to gun ranges, hell, she even has a weaponry set in her basement. and probably a gun or two in most rooms of her house. just trying to live her life really.

dc: essentially the same as main, but she manages a pricey bar in gotham. i'm thinking of doing something vigilante-esque but i'm not sure for now!
