#magolor becomes a freelance police officer au

Info- 2 years after the events of The Devil's Playhouse, Sam and Max go on another road trip around the states as their well deserved payed vacation, this time with their adopted daughter Darla The Geek accompaning them.

When all of a sudden, Magolor shows up, tossed out of a dimensional rift and into the middle of the road!! (almost got run over by the duo, but thankfully and surprisingly no one was harmed) His body completely changed to fit in with the world he was thrown into, however his robes still torn and withered, his magic completely weakened, and damage from the crown still fresh.

After a quick trip to a nearby doctor, another trip to a nearby thrift store for clothes, and a lunch break at a nearby Snuckey's, Magolor tells his story to the freelance family. And yet they still take him in, cuz yeah what Magolor did was terrible, but it was still kinda badass. (plus they understood WHY he did it)

After more wacky shenanigans that could be turned into its own point-and-click adventure game, ending in Mistilteinn showing up and getting shot in the face by Magolor ultra sword-ifying Sam's gun. They arrive back at New York and Magolor becomes an official freelance police officer!! With selling weapons designed by him and gem apples on the side, of course.

It's been a long time since I've done anything Sam & Max related, so I'm glad to be able to revive this idea and make it an official AU! Sure it took over a year to do it, but at least I did it!!

This is a fking stupid joke that I just thought of and ya know what...it's fine. Let's just say that Trav is the one who took the photo (with Rabbid stealing it, in which he wrote that) and he made Paperlor hold up the sign without any of the other's knowing...

Well, cuz it's spooky month and all, I decided to draw Freelance Police Magolor into a zombie too!

Before the year is officially over (at least in my time zone) here's some fun facts about my mago's y'all would probably like:

Skylander Magolor - Has ridden on the back of the some of the winged skylanders during the years his magic was setback and still does to this day as most of them fly much faster than him. The winged skylanders he rides on don't mind this, as he is extremely lightweight.

Necromancy Magolor - He has studied in both magic and business just the rest the magos on list (except for Magomon), but Necro's the only mago here that has some studies in medicine. I think the reason for this is pretty obvious. But at least his cult members get free medical treatment... from a unlicensed doctor... oh dear.

Undertale Magolor - When I was first designing UT's underground look, his color palette was almost going be green and yellow and the lore behind that was going to be Toriel making his new clothes out of Asriel's old ones. That was until I realized that a little morally messed up. So I changed the colors and changed the lore to being that his underground clothes were made out of some of Toriel's old robes.

Promise Prince Magolor - During the design process for him, he was almost about to have a much darker and not so kid-friendly story, with Prince being some kind of "love-slave" (to put it lightly) and the Oakley being a somewhat toxic lover (like one of those very questionable romance webtoon comics). But then the idea of this AU having Beauty and The Beast troupes came to mind and I IMMEDIATELY jumped on that bandwagon as that was the kind of romantic storytelling I actually enjoyed!

Blind Magolor - The mask he wears over his eyes is just as reflective as a mirror. So when he holds hands with someone to look through that person's eyes, he's able to see their face if the person looks at his mask.

Freelancer Magolor - The gun he uses (USP Match Pistol) was actually recommended by a friend of mine who knows all about firearms. I asked him "what's a gun that's beginner friendly and easy for me to draw?" and he gave me that.

Magomon - He shares some traits with the BlackGatomon line, so if this was a completely different story, he could evolve into a LadyDevimon.

I feel like I should show y'all the beta sketches of Freelance Police Magolor that I did on paper, trying to figure out what he would look like.

I was trying to aim for an outfit one could get cheap at gift shop (fitting with the story), and a design closer to the Sam & Max art style. But ended up with these ugly ass designs which lead me to the Rayman body style and cooler clothes for the design y'all got.

I want you guys to know that character design is both a fun and painful process. Most of the time it's a lot of trial and error trying to make a design look good, but when the design finally clicks it's sooooooooooo rewarding!
