"Pokemon region based on the Nordic countries" "Pokemon region based on more of Europe like Italy" "Pokemon region based on the rest of the US" "Pokemon region based on Mexico or Canada (unfortunately with people making racist stereotypical jokes)"
ok but where's the regions based on more south-east asian countries? the regions based on southern american countries? or the regions based on places within the african continent? or even Australia? Russia?
I've seen a few African and Australian fake Pokemon regions, but not a whole lot. and when you do look into some fanmade regions of some of the ones I've listed (both the ones people HAVE made (ie mexico or canada) and the conceptual ones (ie australia or russia)) you will unfortunately find a lot of stereotypical joke characters and Pokemon.
I would like to see some more genuine and sincere love letter fake regions made based on/inspired by those real world locations. Whether Nintendo themselves would make those official at some point or not, it doesn't matter, cuz making one as a fan can be a wonderful outlet of expressing your love and appreciation for those places whether you're from there or not (I'm not from any of the countries or continents I've made regions for (outside of Tolba cuz I'm American and it's an American region), but I have a great love and respect for the cultures and countries I've turned into Pokemon region concepts so far: Candora, Ikaya, Volya, Magnia, (the unnamed wip korean one))
I've done quite a bit of research delving into various bits of facts and lore and more about these places (especially Russia/Volya) to help me build up the world and even come up with some of the fakemon I have to fill that world up with.

Deloitte global revenues hit record $38.8bn
Deloitte has reported annual global revenues of $38.8bn, a record amount that signifies the eighth consecutive year of growth for the firm. The figures relate the year ending 31 May 2017, and represent a 7.1% revenue increase in local currency terms. The firm’s five business areas – audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, and tax and legal – all achieved growth, with technology, media and telecommunication, and consumer and industrial products the key industry growth drivers. Risk and advisory netted 12.9% growth, supported by acquisitions in cyber, and innovative solutions regarding robotic process automation, risk sensing and predictive analytics. Capitalising on the client need to transform business models in the face of disruption, consulting grew by 10.2% with investment in artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain and Internet of Things. Tax and legal registered 6.6% growth, with the OECD’s BEPS project and mass globalisation contributing to the results. Financial advisory grew by 5.8% with increasing demand for its M&A services, and audit and assurance grew by 1% with Deloitte member firms topping the Fortune Global 500 in audit wins for financial year 2017. Deloitte’s CEO Punit Renjen said that the growth was attributable to two key factors: the firm’s multi-disciplinary business model; and clients choosing Deloitte to support their business plans and ambitions. Technology key to strategy Deloitte highlighted technology as being integral to its recent success and future growth strategy. The firm has invested in solutions and products in the past year to deliver greater value to clients, including its audit delivery platform Magnia, analytics platform Illumnia and innovative audit portal Cognia. The firm has also developed a worldwide network of cyber intelligence centres to enhance security and protect client business assets. People investment The firm reported an increase in its workforce across “all geographic regions and businesses”, resulting in 70,000 new employees – an 8% increase compared to financial year 2016. Asia Pacific saw the largest people growth at 10.4%. To support its workforce and encourage career development, Deloitte has launched two new Deloitte University locations in Toronto and Singapore, expanded family leave policies, including Deloitte UK’s shared parental leave initiative, and fostered a “culture of inclusion” to promote workforce diversity. Renjen said: “Deloitte professionals represent the workforce of the future: top talent with different life experiences, viewpoints and skill sets. “In creating an inclusive, collaborative, purpose-led culture, we inspire our people to make an impact that matters for each other, our highly diverse and sophisticated client base, and society.” “Deloitte continually builds on our capacity to deliver the depth and breadth of expertise, insight and quality our clients demand and deserve. As a result, Deloitte is a recognized leader in helping clients adapt and thrive in an intensely competitive global economy.” Last week, Q3 all-market auditor rankings from Adviser Rankings revealed that Delotte has recently taken on nine new FTSE 250 audits, surpassing PwC to take the top spot for most FTSE 250 clients with 68 clients. Last month, Deloitte UK reported 11% revenue growth, with consulting and risk advisory the two highest performing areas for growth.

@lea-khena replied to your post: Audino or mightyena, both are my favorites 0:
Presenting!! Magnian Audino!
Grass/Fairy!
For some reason Audino that came to the region seemed more fascinated in the nature and often spent more of their time tending to gardens. They became so good at gardening that their green thumbs and desire to be with the plants has resulted in their change of appearance and typing!
Many people, both trainers and not, adore them for their cuteness and their adept abilities of making things grow. Nurses in the Magnia region simply can't get enough of how calming and soothing their Aromatherapy can be, so you'll certainly find Magnian Audino all around Pokemon Centers!
The professor, Prof.Spruce, has one as his service assistant partner. He wouldn't know what to do without his Audino.

Gnawgetier
The Gnawing Pokemon
Electric/Normal
Gnawgetier are from the Magnia region!
These Pokemon may be cute and often kept as pets, but they can be quite the little nuisance, gnawing on anything electrical they can get their tiny little paws and teeth on. They love to feed on electrical wires especially, so they can often be found in the wild congregating near places of excessive power.
Professor Spruce, the Magnia Region’s very own Professor of Pokemon, has at least two of them within his lab home. His assistants help to look after them as he does his research and studies.

Minitaur ---(lvl35 w/Final Gambit)---> Taurador
The Fighting Spirit Pokemon
Ghost/Fighting
Height: 6′5″ / 1.9m (from hoof to base of horn, when head isn’t down) Weight: 1,650lbs / 748kg
Ability: Vital Spirit/Moxie Hidden Ability: Anger Point
The flames on their tails (and later as their horns as well) is merely their spirit.
They have a passionately burning fighting spirit that fuels them and keeps them going. If their spirit were to break and they begin to lose it, the flame will dull and they won’t be able to survive, growing very weak. So it is good to provide these Pokemon with intense enrichment, exercise, and care. Taurador are not Pokemon for beginners, however, Minitaur are provided to those who are in training for the art of dancing with them or performing tricks with them.
Minitaur and Taurador are pretty large in size and very bulky. Most of their weight is pure muscle which aids in their speed and strength in battle. Minitaur, however, are a tad reckless and often fumble when charging. It is only when they evolve that they gain proper balance and are able to
These Pokemon are not native to the Magnia region.
“Fun” Facts (warning for some mildly dark content about bullfighting):
The Spanish Fighting Bull is the very special breed of bull used in bullfighting, unfortunately, which is the . They are attacked between the shoulders, hence the red “straps” on the shoulders of these fakemon. There is no way for the bull to win the fight, even if it ends up beating the person fighting it.
Anyways, this explains the choice of typing and some little design details.

Heidi and Audric !
You stand ready to leave upon your journey across your beloved region, getting your first Pokemon from the professor. Your hat, your coat, your boots, gloves and bag-- You were as ready as and as excited as you could ever be!
You live in a nice cottage-esque home in a rural town surrounded by mountains, on the other side of the mountains to the north lies the city in which the Professor resides. You live alone, having moved in not too long ago, as you had finally left home to begin your life. A parting gift was bestowed upon you by your parents, a Pokemon meant only to be a house pet.

Here’s some more Magnia region gym leaders!
[info under the cut to keep the post from being too long!]
Sir Tarragon, the fairy type gym leader!
A very silly and loving old man who lives a life like a fairytale with his beloved wife Edelweiss whom he planted gracidea flowers for all over their town as they are her favorite flower! They have a granddaughter-- Sorrel, your rival! Ethel, your other rival is good friends with Tarragon and Edelweiss and often gives them new recipes from time to time.
He’s just a cute and goofy grandpa to everyone and happily welcomes all with open arms into his home
-----
Typha, the water type gym leader!
A very famous and beloved traditional folk singer of the region. She often goes out to a cliff edge nearby to her town to sing out over the ocean. Occasionally she’ll hold concerts and sing and dance with her Pokemon, trainers and non trainers alike can all join in at these concerts. She’s very passionate about keeping the region clean and beautiful and often donates what she earns from her concerts to the people and Pokemon in need.
Often she is likened to the sea by the trainers who challenge her: Beautiful, stunning, and yet ruthless and unforgiving in her strength and power.

Amador, the torero from a region beyond Kalos-- a neighboring region to Magnia, is quite the revered trainer. Making Pokemon battles into an art form, putting on shows near daily to the crowds that gather at his gym to either face him or to watch him perform with his Pokemon.
He came to Magnia in search of himself and in search of a new home which he found in a small city of Magnia. His popularity and expertise grew with his unique form and style of battling. With this, he quickly climbed his way up to the title of gym leader! He is quite proud of his title and confident in his skills.
Amador came from a rather modest background, most finances that did not go to his family’s necessities went to giving him the best education. He greatly appreciates all he has learned and what he continues to learn even after.
He fully embraces his aesthetic and theme, going all out, albeit playfully.
Aside from battling, Amador performs a dangerous dance with his signature Pokemon that is quite well known and famous within his home region. Dancing with his tattered cape around his Pokemon as it charges at him. Dodging with grace and poise, the performance is quite mesmerizing to watch. It is a true show of his skills, his trust and connection he shares with his Pokemon.
[writing snippet of introduction under the cut!]
=======================
You’re traveling across the Magnia region when you enter the next city and happen across a marvelous stadium at the center of it. Upon further inspection, this was, in fact, the next gym you were to face. How strange? It did not look like the other gyms you’ve faced up till now.
It seemed a little out of place..
Proceeding on, you make your way inside and are greeted by many vibrant pomegranate flowers in bloom and on display in the lobby. Their peachy red glow being quite a surprise among the darkened interior design of mostly purple and blue hues. Giving the place a somewhat eerie feel.
The further you go, registering and making your way into the field, you feel like you are no longer in Magnia, but within a neighboring region.. Tapestries of flowers and hanging along the sides of the field and on front of the bleachers that surrounded it. A sense of dread fell upon you as the music in the area fell silent and the lights dimmed...
Not a sound was heard when a light flicked on, revealing a man in a glittering suit with a tattered cape folded over one arm. You had never seen such an outfit before, such intricate details that decorated his sides from thigh to nape.
He took a bow to acknowledge your presence, being the only other one the lights shown down on. Standing and striking a pose soon after, he finally spoke, this time acknowledging the crowd.
“¡Bienvenido, Magnia! Are you ready for another maravilloso performance today? Let us see what our newest challenger has to offer us! But first,” his gaze now turned to you--
“I would very much like to know the name of my opponent!"
. . .
“Ah, [player]! Such a magnífico name! You may call me, Amador! I am the leader of this gym, and the wooer of this crowd! I can see a fire in your eyes burning bright like an Emboar’s flame! Ah, but I may just be the one to snuff it out, yes? Hm-hm~ My Pokemon and I shall enjoy dancing circles around you!”
. . .
“Haha! It seems the crowd grows restless, dear [player]! We ought to give them what they came to see, yes? Now! Let us begin! ¡Empecemos!”
He took the cape from his arm swiftly, presenting a Pokeball in hand that was not there before and tossed it into the air. A large black bull-like Pokemon appeared before you adorned in green eerie flames, snorting and scratching its hoof at the dirt below, eager to charge.
“¡En guardia!”
And with the music starting up once again, the battle begins!

POKEVEMBER DAY 4: THE RIVAL(S)!
Meet Linden & Sorrel & Ethel!
They will be your rivals along your journey across the Magnia Region!
Linden is 10 years old, he is the youngest of the group and the most enthusiastic, however, he’s also the most serious one of the bunch. He comes from a more traditional home, this being obvious by how dresses, his floral suspenders and handmade backpack. His excitement in getting his first Pokemon showing through his bouncy stance.
Sorrel is a teenager, saying herself that she waited a few years after turning 10 to begin her journey when she felt she was ready. She keeps mostly to herself so most things about her are a little unknown.
Ethel is the oldest of the group, being a grandmother, raising quite the family for a few generations, she’s decided to set out and have a little fun, battling again like she had done many years before. This time, though, she hopes to actually complete the challenge and aims to have fun along the way. She, just like Sorrel is a bit mysterious, though, but she means very well.

Welcome to the Magnia Region!
I don’t have any town/city names so I don’t have too much to say about it, BUT!
For anyone familiar with Germany, you might recognize a few places of interest around the region, although they may not be where you initially think!
The big diamond spot in the middle is a post-game area some may remember from Hoenn or Sinnoh! It’s the Magnia region’s Battle Frontier! However, this one is a little different from Hoenn or Sinnoh’s Battle Frontiers.
The other diamond spot next to the big city up at the top is the Magnia region Pokemon League! You can get there via the cave section just below it when you’ve gotten all 8 badges! An npc blocking your way will now let you through to make the climb up the mountain to the league!
There are a total of 4 lakes and 3 forests on the map and a fair number of scenic mountains to explore as well! So there’s lots to see and experience!
