did neopets ever fix their economy tho? I grew up with Neopets (used to collect the plush and books even) but trying to get back to it in recent years has been hard)

okay so this is actually a difficult question for me to answer, because while i'm not jeff bezos neopets rich, i'm still pretty comfortably "drop several million on paintbrushes and morphing potions" neopets rich

i started my current account in 2012 and said "i'm gonna make a million neopoints", so i spent a couple hours every day playing games i could get the max payout (1k) on, and banked 20-30k a day depending on my energy levels

so by the end of the month i had about a million neopoints

i then started dumping all of that money 15k at a time into the neopets stock market, while also continuing to play games. i hit about 5mill before i stopped playing games

now i just periodically (yeah, not even daily) check my stocks, sell anything that hits 200% profit, and buy a new set of 1000 shares at 15 np each, and my total neopoints keeps climbing. i'm at roughly 16mil now after (relatively) recently dropping a bunch on a few dream pets i had

so yeah if the economy was broken/fixed i wouldn't know because i somehow magically lifted myself out of neopoverty by my bootstraps and nobody is as surprised that i did it as i am

Now this has been a long time coming. I've been wanting to create what I think would be my ideal Bunnie design for a while now and I've finally got it.

Shout outs to my good friend @shinkumancer for doing the piece for me and making it look absolutely fucking FANTASTIC as well. Seriously check her stuff out, she's always open for commissions and her stuff is AMAZING.

What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do? 

Probably like. A day. Two maybe if he’s really tired?

How easy is it for your character to laugh? 

EXTREMELY easy. He laughs because of actual funny things, laughs when he’s nervous, and laughs in the faces of his enemies. Literally. Just to mock them, or is actually maniacally laughing at them as seen in the Infinite comic. He’s like. Pretty hysterical unless someone’s managed to piss him off enough to make him act 100% serious.

What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling? 

Cities and/or city skylines bathed in the pink hue of the sunset. The sound of an acoustic guitar. He enjoys the feeling, since it’s usually positive.

What memory do they revisit the most often? 

Memories of his dad, not any specific ones. He thinks about him a lot, and that’s where his mind usually wanders when he isn’t doing anything.

A) Why are you excited about this character? 

He’s like. My oldest active OC, not counting OCs like my wolf ones that make an occasional return now and again. Due to this he’s also one of my most developed ones, since I’ve been writing him consistently for years (not always in RP form, but still) It’s gotten to the point that it’s as easy as flipping a switch to get into his mindset.

J) Did you have to manipulate or exclude canon factors to allow them to create their character? 

This question is phrased weird n I’m not sure what it means??? I think this is aimed more for like. Writing characters that already exist in media or something? If so then no I guess since Storm is 100% my own save for the fact he’s Sonic based.

2018 is pretty much over, and it’s been one hell of a year for me. If I had to define it in one word, it’d be “growth”. I’ve grown a lot over the past year, whether it be in my life skills, self-confidence, relationships, and even my horizons, getting into many new, wonderful things. This year has just been really good to me on a personal level.

With that out of the way, I’d love to give a few shout outs 

First, to my lovely girlfriend @theguardianknux who I finally, finally got to see this year. I’ve fallen more and more in love with her and she’s been amazing every step of the way. Love you babe!

Next of course I’m going to go down the list of my friends. @lightdax @elijahskull @shinkumancer @lightdax you guys have been there since the start and we’ve had quite a few laughs

@magmahurricane and @destinyablaze shout outs to you guys for keeping me up into the early hours of the morning with our chats and developing our OCs together. It’s been a fucking trip going from having 3 OCs to having 10 and being happy with almost all of them! Shit has been an absolute goddamn BLAST

@tumblezwei and @mageknight14 shout outs for being cool people in general, and on the latter for opening his server to me just as I was getting into RWBY. That place has had some very fun bants over the past year

@bowlerhatwearer your fanfics and ideas have been a joy to see grow over the past year and here’s hoping you’ll grow further.

I think the last question means, did you have to break any established canon to make him work (ie certain game events not happening, having certain canon events happen differently, etc, in order for him to make sense?)

Oh! Then yeah, kinda? Well, not really in order for him to make sense, but he is part of an AU, and while most game events have happened there, there’s things like Shadow not being like his canon self, and Sonic temporarily working for GUN. But these things don’t really factor into Storm being the way he is

Describe some of the most important people in your OCs lives! Are they friends? Lovers? Family?

Orchid n Mael for Rosu! Mael is Rosu’s boyfriend, and one of his first and closest friends. So much so that Mael is p much the only person Rosu misses when he’s essentially banished from his home. He did like other people there, but they were all pretty much on the level of just acquaintances and just coworkers, basically.

Orchid belongs to @arainbowdoesntchoose and he’s the first friend Rosu makes after his banishment, which is a big deal for him since he was just looking to survive and not make any friends. Rosu viewed himself as just a monster, and felt that he couldn’t be anything more than that. Orchid gave him a chance, and stuck by him as he tried to get used to things and break out of his old ways. Rosu is very grateful for that.

Which OC gives the most kisses? Which OC gives the best hugs?

Rosu! He gives kisses to both friends and to his boyfriend, and he does it a lot, so he wins SHDGSH

Tho if we’re talking strictly romantic kisses, then it’s probably Mael. He’d be tied with Alke if not for the fact that Alke takes a little while to give a lot of kisses without being asked to.

While Mael just goes for it, especially when he gets together with Rosu. Rosu’s pretty nervous, so Mael wants to make him feel as loved as he possibly can.

I think Rosu gives the best hugs, since he’s floofy and tall, so they’re pretty soft and protective

9. Describe the way that they sleep. 

Somewhat curled up, with his arms a bit sprawled out in front of him, whether there’s someone there or not. Tho if there is, he will be hugging them rather than just. Plopping his arms on them HSDGHS

If he’s exhausted or drunk (or both) he just sleeps sprawled out on the bed, as he just falls asleep pretty much as soon as he hits the bed.

10. What is their favorite food/kind of food? 

Fish, and seafood in general! He eats it so often that it’s the only kind of food that he even knows how to prepare by himself

11. What do they feel most insecure about? 

He’s secretly insecure about himself. He’s 100% secure in his appearance. But after a toxic relationship that ended pretty badly, he stopped asking for affection and showing emotions like sadness out of fear of being seen as weak, and being abandoned.

For a while he didn’t really care who he dated, but after seeing Claire and Leon’s relationship, he started to seek something more meaningful. Basically he started seeking true love, though he’d never phrase it like that out of fear of appearing soft. Some realizations about the people he was dating hit him here, and he’s pretty worried that no one will actually love him, and will instead be after his money. He does love to pamper his partner, but he doesn’t want that to be all they want from him.

12. How do they like to dress? 

Fancy! Suits and dress shirts all the way! Though he won’t say no to a tank top for something more casual.

Make an OC sideblog! Shamelessly reblog things about ur OC, what they like, aesthetics, and talk about them!

Idk, I never liked the idea of making a sideblog for art or for OCs for myself, aside from OC RP blogs. Personally it’d feel like I’m separating the stuff I’m making, from myself.

Like, I already do all that stuff on this blog. Save for talking about them unless it’s drawing related and someone asks. And like...Idk. Just making posts talking about them feels lonely. Like I’m shouting into the void and there’s no one to listen or care but me. Like, no one to ask stuff or get the want to tell me about their own ocs. No back and forth.

Plus sometimes I like talking about ocs that are affectionate with each other, and I’m too anxious to put that out where someone I don’t like could see.
