I was not expecting the existential angst of being in an isekai to raise its head in the final episode of MagiRevo. Anis was clearly feeling the stress the past couple of episodes of trying to be part of the royal system again, but I hadn’t clocked the subtext of “My identity is being the princess”: “I need to prove that I’m not a changeling and really am the child of my parents, who happen to be the king and queen.” With that level of impostor syndrome, no wonder she was so messed up about the succession

Hooollyyy shit Magirevo volume 4 is legitimately one of the gayest things that I’ve read. It’s sooooo good. Anis and Euphie are such a good couple and I LOVE their dynamic. Seriously any himejoshi who hasn’t started this series should do themselves a favour and do so, it’s THAT good.

I am just begging lesbian anime Tumblr to have higher standards here. I went looking for other reactions to the end of MagiRevo and everybody's just like "tee hee, they kissed" and like... that was the cheapest most bullshit romance conclusion I have ever watched, regardless of gender. I am still angry about it days later, because I had such high hopes for this show.

Somehow every single drawback of Anisphia's plan still should apply to Euphilia's plan in any vaguely rational world. AND now there's a giant curse to undo. But, sure, we ended on wings and rainbows and smooching. Great job, no notes.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm over 40 so I'm also going to go announce my retirement, since there's probably some teenager somewhere who would offer to do my job. Well? Would she do it WELL? I dunno, I didn't think to have any serious talks about that beforehand.
