When I was younger I never picked out a setting for like any of my stories or ocs because I felt like I couldnt pick a place I'd never been to because I'd fail to represent it correctly. Simultaneously for some reason I was also under the impression that I couldnt just make them be from where im from?? So i just vaguely skated past it almost all of the time.

Then as an adult I realized I can actually just set things in Oregon and its made life so much easier and fun.
