That's so hard, I've so many! But I think I've figured it out, my top 5.

Assassin Skills Required

By far my favorite fic I've written, even now. It was based off a dream and includes characters from Krystar while focusing on the AC characters. I didn't know where I was going with it until I was halfway done, so it was written and posted live, consistently. It went from Saturdays only to Saturdays and Wednesdays and somehow I kept up the whole time thru 3 works of it. As a debut for fanfiction, it's simply the best, and I haven't been able to recreate my experience with it since. Writing live was just so... I can't believe I did it. Not once did I miss an update and it wasn't even prewritten. In fact, I outpaced my posting schedule, even after starting to post a second day each week. I'd never been so inspired than when writing ASR. Picking the top 5 is hard, but picking number 1 is easy. Link to ASR teaser.

Kristmas Karma

This one wasn't quite written live, but it wasn't written that far ahead either, and it includes a ridiculous amount of art all drawn the week before it was posted. I can't believe it was more or less posted on time. It was also partially an experiment. While ASR included all the AC characters, I still didn't know them that well individually outside of Karmagisa. Kristmas Karma changed that. I was able to write and understand nearly every single student's POV convincingly, and still reference the fic to this day when trying to feel them out. It still makes me cry and Christmas Day, despite being the single most longest chapter I've ever written, so long it was split into 2 chapters (23k words btw), still flies right by every time I reread it. Magic Shuu

Speaking of getting to learn about the other characters in AC, this one focuses on Shuu and the five virtuosos. What I love most about this one is how fluidly I've crossed these boys into the Sailor Moon universe. I love how I turn this very minor character and his even more invisible friends into the main stars and make them relatable. In fact, my friend who has a similarly overbearing father relates to Shuu deeply. This story just has so much heart in it. Currently unfinished, but I'll finish it someday, even if it takes me years. Ubisoft

A Karushuu one-shot. It's playful and fun and both of them are such loveable dorks in this. XD I've reread it so many times I've lost count. My favorite part for Karma is when he stumbles out the door in the morning, tripping and nearly breaking his phone on the way. My favorite part for Shuu is how awkward his attempt to be a better kisser is. I love them so much in this. Link to Ubisoft.

Cuddles and Kisses

A Karmagisa one-shot that I'd planned to write for the longest time. It was based on an idea that someone else had, but it's surprisingly sweet and wholesome despite it being about Karma summoning an incubus. XD My favorite part for Nagisa is when he attempts to "seduce" Karma. My favorite part for Karma is when he rushes home because he's worried about Nagisa disappearing, frantically searching the house until he calls out Nagisa's name, and then hugging him in relief when he appears before him. It's just so sweet for a one-shot, and I'm strongly considering writing more for this AU. Link to Cuddles and Kisses.

Honorable mention:

Gerit

An original story set in the Krystar universe but separate from the main story. It's actually my favorite of anything on AO3, but it's technically not a fanfiction. It centers around a neurodivergent named Gerit who was abused in many ways as a child while training to be an assassin. I wrote this in the midst of writing ASR as Gerit was in the story and I hadn't fleshed him out as a Krystar character yet. It's finished, but not all posted on AO3 as I've decided the tiny Krystar spoilers at the end aren't something I should spoil until at least after book 1 or 2 of the Fragment series is out. Kaneki’s Group Halloween Headcanon Time

☆ Everyone in the group is invited for Trick or Treating! Except maybe Shuu, but he inserts himself anyway and nobody tells him to leave

☆ Kaneki’s favourite part is seeing how many ghouls give candy to the human kids, and then real eyes and fingers to the ghoul children while trick or treating. At first he felt bad about “intruding” on a human event until he realized it was a perfect holiday for ghouls

☆ The gas masks are all about trading after trick or treating. By the end, Jiro has enough eyeballs for a biblically accurate angel, Ichimi can make his section of the room ghost-themed and Sante could replicate their boss’s torture bucket

☆ Banjou likes giving “tricks” to kids while trick or treating. Every time they walk past a large group of children together, he’ll try doing some card tricks for them that he spent a few hours practicing with Kaneki. Some kids love it, some think he’s scary, one kid started mocking him for being 25 and fumbling with cards on the street and it really hurt his feelings

☆ Shuu loves the costuming aspect of it! Every year as a child he always had the most extravagant costume, and as an adult he is no different. He spends time tailoring outfits for himself and specifically Kaneki and Hinami. This year, he dresses himself as a vampire (always one of his favorites) and Hina and Kaneki as an angel and demon. THEY LOOK VERY PRETTY.

☆ After trick or treating, Hinami asks Shuu what to do with the candy. He decides to show her some cool recipes, like flowers made from melted hard candy and mousse with a chocolate swirl lid. They decide to donate the treats to Anteiku and Hinami learns to make some cool art with her candy!

He was feeling more sympathetic to what his targets were starting to feel ever since he got his own stalkers. Despite that, he was giddy to have gotten his gift. Expensive chocolates? It's a nice change from ordinary chocolates from the convenience store! Quickly rushing up to his building's living area, he went to hide away his new treats, opting to save it for a special day.

"Or..."

Shuu pauses in front of the cabinet and ponders. Quickly, he snatches one chocolate and eats it just as fast. The sweet yet bitter taste makes the man squeal in delight, almost reaching for another before he holds himself back by throwing it into storage.

"Not falling down that slippery slope again! I have to save it..."

Slowly, Shuu opens the door again.

"...Another one wouldn't hurt~"

just me yapping about what I think would happen/headcanons about book 7, I guess? please read it!! uh

SPOILER WARNING FOR BOOK 7

-What happened?

I imagine that in book 7, around the end where Mallues is almost free from his overblot. He would try to keep the people she most cares about to stay in a last ditch effort. So I think he would maybe use/ make some sort of thorns to trap the people he cares about. The thorns would wrap around Shuu's, Silver's, Lilia's, and Sebek's limbs. Keeping them from moving for a short while. But would end up ruining something else for a longer while.

-The aftermath?

Everyone who got attacked by the thorns would have to go to the hospital. I'm not sure how long it would take to heal the marks from the thorns. Since they all have different marks + the thorns are magical/are controlled by magic.

-Where are the scars?

Shuu's: Her left arm, the scar starts an inch and a half above her elbow to the end of the hand. And her right leg, the scar starting at her shin to her foot.

Silver's: His right arm, the scar starts at his right bicep to his wrist. His right leg, the scar starts at his knee to his Achilles tendon.

Sebek's: His left arm, the scar starts his left bicep to his wrist. His left leg, the scar starts at his thigh to his calf.

Lilia's: His left arm, the scar starts at his bicep to the end of his hand. His left leg, the scar starts his thigh to his Achilles tendon. And his right leg, the scar starts at his shin to the end of his foot.

A little random but I think from who would heal the fastest to the slowest it would be, Lilia, Sebek, Silver, then Shuu. Because I think fae have tougher skin then humans and Lilia is fae, and Sebek is half fae they would heal fast. Silver's next because he's lived in the woods and is a retainer he probably has tough skin.

But I think who would actually heal first in the situation would be Sebek, Silver, Shuu, then Lilia. I imagine that Malleus also controls how tight the thorns are Lilia would have some pretty deep marks. Since it was the last time he was going to be in NRC.

-What's their relationship with Malleus after the overblot?

Shuu: She slightly hates him. Every time she looks at the marks she gets a reminder about the overblot. Giving a whole bunch of emotional turmoil. Malleus is her friend right? Why would he give her these marks? She knows he wasn't in the right head space but still. Why? She just avoids him now. Having anything to do with him makes her upset and slight angry.

Silver: He's upset and has mixed feelings. He tries to be understanding toward Malleus but seeing how Shuu has changed because of Malleus. It makes him unsure how to act. But he does try to be help both sides.

Sebek: He's upset and confused. Someone he idealized and deafened, hurt. . . him. He does understand Malleus and will still be by his side and defend him. But there is an uncertain feeling when he's around him.

Lilia: He is very understanding towards Malleus. He understands him and also understands how people could have a distaste for Malleus after the overblot.

-Miscellaneous parts of lore!!

The marks are a lasting reminder of the day of his overblot and the pain and hurt she felt when she got those marks. Would ruin her mental health.

Shuu wears bandages over her arm and leg to cover the scars when she goes back to NRC.

Silver and Shuu bond over the marks. Silver comforts her when she starts to get upset about the marks or is feeling emotion turmoil.

Sebek and Shuu become better friends after the overblot, by also bonding!

Lilia really likes his scars and shows them off.

Diasomnia + Shuu has a "I survived Malleus Overblot!" shirt. They do and I will be drawing them in their favorite shirt. Well at least Lilia's.

HALLO EVERYONE! I'm starting to feel a little better, so I decided to FINALLY make Victor a (non-birthday) SRR!!! And to congratulate Angel on 100+ followers! They're SOOO talented, and their art never ceases to amaze me. Keep up the hard work, Angie 💙💙

As for Victor's outfit, I wanted to go for a king/bard kind of look. I mainly used bards and jesters as inspo, though I added a modern take to it. I also wanted a subtle floral theme since the event has to do with fairies, and I like to compare certain flowers to the Sanderson siblings. So Victor's outfit is also slightly inspired by purple lilacs and foxglove.
