Day 8 of NANTOBER! Prompt: Mages.

“Please be careful, I’m still not feeling that great.” He straightened up and felt his nervousness rise when he saw the mischievous grin on Mitsuru’s face. “What exactly did you have planned..?”

With a hum Mitsuru slid his arms down Seitarou’s arms, goosebumps prickling his skin at the touch, until he was only holding his hands, lifting one to leave a gentle kiss on the back of his hand.

“Would you do me the honor of sharing a dance with me?”

Urg, I have an idea for a shincelty fic but have no motivation to write it...

Basically it’s the typical kindgoms au arranged marriage trope where Shinra is the crowned prince of the kingdom and Shingen, the current king, and Seitarou, the king of a neighbouring kingdom are on the verge of starting war against one another and so come to an agreement. The countries will be united by the marriage of crowned prince Shinra and the princess Namie (Seiji is the crowned prince of their kingdom because sexism I guess).

Of course, this is a giant nono for Shinra (and Namie but I’ll get to that later maybe) as Shinra has been madly in love with the fabled guardian of their kingdom, the mythical dullahan, since he was 4 years old. And basically shenanigans where Shinra, with the reluctant help of his mage best friend Izaya, tries to get out of the arranged marriage while trying to woo the love of his life. 

(Maybe have them hunt for Celty’s missing head as a grand gesture of love or something. Shinra doesn’t really want to return her head because like canon he’s afraid it’ll make her leave but he gets over it I’ll think more about it later)

(Bonus maybe Izaya’s plans aren’t as pure like in canon he wants to awaken the head with war?? And thats why he convinces Shinra to look for it.)

I’m gonna stew over it for awhile, maybe make a plan to flesh it out a bit more. I really want to write this, even if my writings not the best, because I think it’s a cute idea and we desperately need more Shincelty fics out their that aren’t related to Shizaya (Sorry, I love Shizaya but it’s not going to be in this fic, if I ever write it, this is going to be a pure Shincelty fic with maybe a brief mention of Seijimika because it might be relevant to the plot, (Mika has a mage change her face to look like the head and that’s their first clue in finding it maybe))
