Happy Belated Valentines Day! Have a flaming skull. 🫴💀🔥

Been working my way through The Magnus Archives, and I've been having a ol' jolly time! I'm sure this scene's been done to death (hah) but it was too good not to draw. ❤️‍🔥

So whenever I listen to Too Sweet by Hozier I can't help but Imagine Jack Barnabas singing it about his desire for Agnus.

Like, that's a song not of a moth drawn to the flame, but one that's begging for it.

Jack showed a woman groomed to be a catalyst of pain and destruction a small amount of joy. And for that, he is a hero in my eye.

you know when jack barnabas is talking about how he felt seeing agnes for the first time, and he says it should be fight or flight but the danger in her eyes activated something else in him instead? i know what it is. he went straight past fight and flight into fuck

Oooh Agnes Montague going on a few dates with a normal guy, her first and last try at a relationship, anything normal and mudane and real, before her "destiny" comes. She was never even given a chance to be anything but what she was :(

Jack Barnabas (MAG 67)

(Jack is the loser that falls in love with Agnes Montague if you forgot.)

Chose a heart lollipop for his design because they're meltable and a few other things. He's a sweet guy, I guess. It probably wasn't too hard to reconstruct his face with a proper mold and lots of cash.

Middle design is Jack maybe a year or so after the incident - and the last design is after all the reconstructive surgeries (limb difference isn't important, just an art style change)

Mag 67 HURT. There’s something so twistedly romantic about that. Agnes….i think I’m a fan….also the cult of the lightless flame….the fire and the books being connected….centering around Agnes…Diego Molina and Gerard Keay….plus Arthur Nolan and the connection with the bugs….its all so….guys the dots….
